I'm back! Again...
General | Posted 2 years agoLife keeps getting in the way, but hey... I've kept up drawing when I can. Gonna try to post more regularly.... blah blah. No promises.
You may have noticed all of my previous work jumped over to scraps. Think of it as a clean slate... so to speak.
More to come.

Somebody reposted my art...
General | Posted 15 years ago...and I want to thank them. I want to thank the individual who took one of my images, reposted it to another website, and linked it back to my gallery here. I want to thank that person for the several new page views and watchers I gained from that. I want to thank that person for exposing my work to other people.
Why?
Because I want my art to be shared with others. Yeah, I do this stuff for myself mostly, but I love to share it with people and if others feel like they want to share it, who am I to stop them? Too many artists have this unrealistic point of view that their art is theirs and theirs alone. Too many try to control the distribution of such art (tell me how that is even possible on such a fluidly interactive medium such as the internet?).
When I saw a few of my images recolored and posted on FA and e621 I was absolutely flattered that somebody liked my work enough to add their own touches to it. Who in their right mind wouldn't be? To me there is nothing cooler than somebody liking my art and wanting to edit it in a way that allows them to enjoy it more. That is just fantastic!
Funny concept huh? Unfortunately it's not one that I see shared all that often. What happened to us all so that we've become hyper protective guardians of our unfinished sketches and personal galleries? Giant watermarks, DNP demands, refusing to post new work all together... has it really come to this? How is that in any sense a community? We can't even trust each other view our work responsibly.
It's kind of silly if you ask me.

Is it a bad time to bring this up again?

Last Day
General | Posted 15 years agoLast Day of FF. Overall, not a bad con. Didn't feel like there was as much to do as there was at AC but it was nice. Moseyed on down to Cabela's with
sullenlust so she could do some suitin'. Haha, she'll be posting pics of that on her account.
Heading home tomorrow, perhaps making a stop in MA, got work Tuesday.... Vacations don't last long enough.

In the interest of generating interest... (Commissions?)
General | Posted 15 years agoI'm thinking about making time to open a few commission slots. Would there be any interest if I were to do so? Options would probably include (for differing prices, obviously): Single/multi char, simple/detailed bg, line art/colored art, shaded/not shaded, etc. Would likely be all digital work.
More details to come if there are enough people who are interested.

Any landing you can walk away from...
General | Posted 16 years ago...is a good one.
I crashed my motorcycle Thursday night. Went wide in a turn at about 35 mph, hit dirt and high sided. The bike took a dirt nap, I landed about 20 feet away on somebodies lawn, narrowly missing a giant oak tree. Fortunately I was wearing full riding gear and a full face helmet; I managed to walk away with a sprained wrist and bruised ribs. The bikes gonna need a bit of work though... damn.
