American Sign Language (ASL) for furries panel hosted by Wakewolf, Deaf Fursuiter and American Sign Language user. Anyone who wants to learn Basic ASL, and wants to hear Wakewolf's experience of being a deaf furry at furry conventions.

You are not required to know ASL to come. Fur the More is providing ASL interpreters.

Even founder, wakewolf, can't make it to Califur but there are furry interpreter asked me that he want to know if anyone who will go to Califur, please let me know. Because he might be only one interpreter.

I think Califur need more than just one interpreter, so please let me know if you will go. Deaf, hard of hearing, hearing loss, interpreter, and more.

Sorry if I come late. I heard about interpreter few weeks ago but I didn't know there are donation to help him for hospital bills.

Please help him because he helped deaf, hard of hearing, and blind furries to enjoy AC as everyone did. I never meet him but will love to meet him this year!

I know it's a PBS documentary, but I know that some of the places they mention are nationwide like the Lion's Club and the Sertoma Hearing Aid Bank.

Lion's Club works with people ages 19 to 64 who need a hearing aid but can't afford one and Sertoma Hearing Aid Bank works with ages 65 and older. :)

I hope the documentary helps people!

After FurAffinity set another feature, involved with gallery folder. I am thinking do you want to add your sign language artwork on deaf fur's gallery, under one of your name folder?

Hello deaf, hard of hearing (HOH), children of deaf adults, or any relation of deaf!

Recently, I got news from  soutthpaw that he went to BLFC and they hired professional interpreter to make deaf furry goer have great time like other furries!

in case, any fur con that come with interpreter will be great! So, if you want go to fur con, make sure to contact that person who host the that con, also contact to any deaf/hoh furs to come with you. If host agreed to hire the interpreter, you can make a shout on deaf fur page as furs will see that. If I see that, I will make a journal about it.

Finally, I am very sorry for inactive for long time. I was at deaf college, it used up so much of my time after I joined the fraternity. But next time, I will do my best to use little of my time to check on your comments and shout. I am really appreciate all of your comments and shout!

Spread the word to your deaf/hoh about this group, it keep growing and I don't feel happier than see this group growing! :D

Probably the best con I have been to. It was made all the more Pawsome because BLFC (special thanks to RomanOtter) hired Professional ASL Interpreters for Friday and Saturday events. I was able to enjoy the comedy, improv and panel discussions. it takes the experience to a whole new level!! Hopefully this will happen again next year and we can get more Deaf and HOH Furs to attend. The integration of the theme was fantastic also not just side note to the con. Also I would love to see Safehaven become a permenant charity for BLFC. Because they have many big cats including 7 Tigers! what more reason would Big Little Brother need!..
Sooo Much free stuff and affordable rooms... If you didn't make it this year be sure to add it to your bucket list for next year.

Hello! ASLized is excited to announce our new project! We are looking for 52 Deaf artists in the U.S. We will produce decks of playing cards. There are 52 cards in a deck, therefore we need an artist for each card. Submit any drawing, painting, graphic design, et cetera. We will re-size your artwork to the appropriate size. We will publish and sell playing cards as a part of the fundraiser for ASL educational videos, and to promote the growth of ASL literacy especially for ASLized!

This project is voluntary but we will recognize your artwork by giving you the full credit. You will also receive a copy of the playing cards as a token of our gratitude. We have four criteria: 1.) the theme is "American Sign Language, our beautiful language," 2.) we accept all formats such as 2D, 3D, drawing, painting, photography, design except for video, 3.) the artwork needs to be children-friendly, and 4.) be creative! We want something that is very unique.

Our founder, WakeWolf, is going to F3 fur con at Springfield, Missouri in December 14-17. He will be host for one of panels called Intro to American Sign Language. But right now, he is unable to find a very good ASL interpreter to interprets sign language to english in speaking. WakeWolf wants all of comers to understand what he said with his own paws!

Right now, WakeWolf is working on the project that is for Intro to ASL in F3, hopefully he will able to finish it before fur con!

If you know any interpreter who able to come to F3 in Missouri for fun but just one hour required to be at panel with WakeWolf, maybe he will pay a dinner as thank you. :3

Hello everyone! I am sorry for not checking deaf_fur for month. I am so shocked that Deaf_fur actually get more than ten watchers! Some of them are not deaf but they have relate to deaf people or know some American Sign Language (ASL).
