I totally spaced the fact that it's November, which means it's NaNoWriMo time again! So I've been working on one of my projects, hoping to get a good portion of it done. I haven't really done it before, so I'm trying now. I've got about 16,000 or so words at this point. Is anyone else here doing it? If so feel free to add me on the website, same username there :D

I feel like a pretty big jerk coming out of nowhere like this, but I'm attempting to raise money to help my girlfriend complete her goal of going to college this coming fall (she's taking a year off to hopefully acquire more funds). She needs all the help in the world right now. She is not a member of Furaffinity, but seeing as I am, I was wondering--

1) If I took commissions, would anyone be interested?

2) If I took commissions, and told you that half or all of the proceeds would be going to her, would you still be interested? (I know some people might be more/less inclined knowing that it was helping someone else out instead of the artist in question.)

Other peoples' artwork. I don't have much interest the whole thing, like, if the same artists that draw really nice anthro work drew humans instead I probably wouldn't be around here much. But anthro characters are fun to throw into the mix sometime-- not because I find them attractive though DDDD8 but more because they... well they work differently and messing around with different anatomical structures and designs can be fun.

Well even if you're a furry you have to admit that it must come off as kind of weird to other people... so you have to expect that someone is going to go batshit crazy about it.

I feel like a lot of the sexual aspects are also prevalent in other subcultures but because this particular community is centred around animals, it's shown in a much more derogatory light? I dunno, people seem to talk about OMG CUB ART a lot but then I see the same people being all lololol shota is p sweet

but then I also see people who don't subscribe to any of the gross stuff! Which is awesome to me. I dunno I guess if I just see anthro characters doin it it's just as weird as someone shoving hentai in my face. Neither of those things appeal to me much.

It all depends on the character and how well the artist executed it :/? I guess I would be able to connect more with anthro or kemonomimi characters simply because I relate to humanoid subject more than feral subjects. But honestly it does depend on the artist and their rendition of the character.

I don't have any actual anthro characters of my own though.

Sorry I was gone for so long. It was really one trip after another with not too many artings in between. Just got back from a family trip to Maine... I really need to get back to drawing things for fun and not worry so much about the what and whys of it all. I'm going back to art school in the fall and that's where I'll really buckle down and focus primarily on drawing things for learning's sake-- it's summer, I should do things for funsies!
