Happy 2024! Update for the new year!
Posted 2 years agoHappy 2024 everyone! I hope you all had a relaxing holiday. I was sick for most of mine but otherwise it was swell.
I have many projects I plan to dive into this year, so expect more regular updates on my various social sites as they develop! I'm aiming to work on my own things more and lean off the NSFW projects. I will still be doing the commissions as they come in, but my main goal for this year is to release my own audio work, writing, and whatever other projects I choose to dive into.
I started Audio Elk because I wanted to dive into regular audio work which, at the time, consisted of doing NSFW audio passes on various furry animations. These projects pushed me to record and edit regularly, not to mention actually push myself to release a finished project every week for a while. During this time I met and worked with many wonderful creators, and I got to work on some pretty fun things!
During that time I had an idea for a large scale project I wanted to toy with: an audio drama. I wrote up a large brainstorm and consulted some friends for ideas and feedback, even have art of two major characters, but haven't given it the love and attention I need to for it to flourish.
Last year I participated in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and forced myself to write a 50k word story with these characters in mind, and in the process fell back in love with the idea. This year I'm going to be pushing myself to develop this project into something for everyone to read/hear.
I will still be doing audio commissions as they come in, I'm not stepping away from the NSFW side entirely! I also have my NSFW prop sound library in the works and have some time scheduled this month to finish recording what I need for it. I want to release that by March at the latest.
I don't regret a single bit of the work I've done over the years, but it's time to really focus on my projects. I don't have any set release dates for anything yet, but have my own internal writing/creation goals that I'm working towards, and will announce things as they approach the finish line.
Hope everyone's 2024 goes great! Here's to an exciting new year!

Fall’s is Here and I Haven’t Gotten Anything Done
Posted 2 years agoHappy Fall everyone. Things have been rocky here in terms of any project work. Not long after settling into things I ended up getting sick, and I’m still battling the lingering cough here. I still wanted to post an update because some priorities have shifted around that I wanted to let y’all know about.
New Sound Libraries on Hold
While I was sick, I was doing some test recording in my recording closet here at the house, and unfortunately, it’s not any better than my old space, which wasn’t good enough to record quieter noise sources. Various recordings in my older libraries you may know have a relatively high noise floor throughout, and I don’t think there’s any reason to record further libraries until that issue is resolved, and I don’t want to diminish the quality of the recording through noise removal processing if I can avoid it. So, for now, while I troubleshoot and figure out a solution to this, I have put all library recording material on hold.
What’s in the Works?
Recently there was a whole debacle over Unity’s attempt to squeeze more money out of their developer base, but it got me to finally give Godot a try. From poking around again in game audio development I decided that I’d like to finally dive into developing various game audio tools that creators can easily integrate into their projects. I started working on a basic audio toolset for Godot that I’m hoping to release, for free, before the end of the year. I’ll provide more information on this once it’s further along, but I plan on going from this project into a similar toolset for Unreal Engine.
And the Rest
My website is 99.99999% finished. I even have a test deployment up and running to finalize some things, so I’m going to get that finished this month so I can finally be done with it. I’ve also been doing various commission work that you may have seen pop up across various platforms. I intend to continue doing commissions, but I may cut back to only 2 or 3 max per month so I can focus on my other projects. I’ve been very bad about focusing down the writing projects I have in the works, so I’m working on a scheduling method that I want to stick to and get things moving again.
Also, in regard to streaming, I ended up deciding not to focus on it for the time being. I’d like to eventually do a weekly audio stream, but with everything else I’m trying to get into a rhythm with, I’d rather focus on those first.
In the meantime, I’ll stay active on the various sites you can find me on (outside of twitter, which is really only going to be used for project updates from now on). I may also use Tumblr to post various thoughts on audio related topics. It may help me get into the habit of writing more regularly, but we’ll see. I’ll definitely share links around if I do!
In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy October. Go get spooky!

Links Updated
Posted 2 years agoHey everyone, I cleaned up my NSFW archive site and updated links to all my submissions here to point to it, so now every submission should have a functional link.
Generally larger updates coming soon. Was planning on launching my site this weekend but getting sick last week threw a lot off for me, so stay tuned!

Audio Elk Survey and Pre-Moving Update!
Posted 2 years agoHey everyone, I wanted to get another update written up for y’all before I move. I have a few things I want to bring up about my plans with Audio Elk once I get settled in Denver, so let’s get started!
AUDIO ELK SURVEY
If you’ve ever commissioned or purchased sound libraries from me I want to hear from you! I created a google form for you to fill out. Shouldn’t take very long, but I would really appreciate it!
Fill out a survey here: https://forms.gle/ZX3X8L9PSAMVRM289
In the survey at the end is an optional review section that you can fill out if you’d like to give me permission to use your review on my new website! Otherwise, it’s a fairly standard review form. I would love to hear from you!
AUDIO ELK WEBSITE (Again)
The website is almost completed! I just have to clean up the mobile layout, finish editing some portfolio reels, and then finalize some testing before deploying! I’m hoping to get it out before I move, but realistically I’m probably going to launch it after I am settled in Denver.
COMMISSIONS
While I’ve been prepping for my move I’ve had my commissions closed. Once I settle in at the new place I will reopen my commissions like I normally do, and should be able to work a lot faster!
POST MOVE PLANS
I plan on diving back into a lot of audio work once I finish moving and get set up my studio space. I want to kick it into gear on my library recordings and toolset creations for all y’all. I’ll be getting to work on a lewd props library which will have a lot of fun recordings of dildos, fleshlights, fuck machines and more!
I’m also planning on doing a weekly stream where I work on various audio projects. My plan right now is to stream every Sunday afternoon, but the specific day may change based on when people like to watch. I’m considering streaming the setup process of building out my recording closet once I move in, but we’ll see how I feel once I’m there.
AUDIO DISCORD
I started an “Audio Furs” discord! I know there are a lot of music ones out there, but I couldn’t really find an all encompassing ‘audio engineering furry’ discord so I went ahead and made one. This is for audio furs from all aspects of the industry, so if you’re a voice actor, sound editor, recording engineer, mixing/mastering engineer, acoustics engineer, live sound engineer, or anything related to audio, feel free to drop in! I’d love to build it out and have a diversity of audio folk.
Discord Link: https://discord.gg/nRnNFHCRpw
That should be everything for now! I’ll post another update after I’ve moved, and perhaps will get a stream in to build the recording closet out. I’ll keep ya posted!

Updates
Posted 2 years agoHey everyone! I'm trying to be more active in posting updates on what I'm working on and what to expect, so expect more activity here!
I know I haven't posted that much work recently, but that's not necessarily because I haven't had anything to post! I've mostly been doing a lot of work for creators who have Patreon locked content that I'm not allowed to post along with some commissions that I've agreed beforehand not to post. I am working on commissions regularly though, and am also working on a game project that I'm hoping to share more about when it's ready!
My main focus right now has been getting an updated website completed and deployed, but I've been falling behind on it. I was hoping to have it finished by last month but ran into some issues. There isn't a lot left to do, but the new site probably won't be up until June. I'm aiming to have it done before I move back to Colorado in July!
I've also been looking at getting another sound library recorded eventually, but it's low priority currently. I'd like to have a new one released before I move, but most likely I won't get back into sound library recording until after I'm settled in Colorado. I'm also getting regular work done on my side project that I'm aiming to be able to share more on after I move as well, so keep an eye out!
That pretty much covers things here. Hope everyone is doing well!

SOME LINKS NOW BROKEN
Posted 4 years agoHey all! I shut down my nsfw subdomain on my site where I used to host my edits for y'all, so most if not all links are now broken. Instead, I chose to have everything stored on my drive and linked directly on my profile, so you can still access those submissions! Moving forward I'm either going to use google drive for all submissions or just link to my twitter, as FA's multimedia support is pathetic.
Shutting my Patreon down, and other updates.
Posted 4 years agoHello all, I rarely post on here because I usually post any updates on my Twitter, but I felt that I should finally get around to updating those who don’t follow my twitter.
I ultimately decided to shut down my Patreon. To keep things short, the amount of work of finding animations, getting permissions, etc. and actually doing the edit (plus uploading and managing patreon stuff) is just too much work for very little reason to keep doing so. I’d much rather put my efforts into more interesting projects.
I may still do an edit here and there, but mostly what you’ll see me post from here on out will be commission work or just various little things I create while developing larger projects. This may range from music bits, audio only environment scenes, and *maybe* the occasional edit here and there if I feel like doing one. Currently I am the sound engineer for
's BOOFVR, and am helping a few other furs with various projects that hopefully come to fruition as well :)
Thanks to all of y’all who followed, shared my work, or even left tips or joined my Patreon! It’s meant a lot <3 There are still some ways you can support me if you wish. You can always send me a shiney here on FA, or you can purchase a sound library from my Gumroad store, or even just tip me on Ko-Fi! I'll link those below~
I’ll post updates on my Twitter as things develop, so be sure to follow me on there. I’ll do my best to post journals more often, but I’m just too busy usually xP

Question Regarding my Patreon
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone! I announced on Patreon and Twitter that I will be shutting my Patreon down for good at the end of this month, but after talking with a few friends about the reasons I'm shutting down I decided to try and restructure the Patreon so that it's impeding my IRL work and life in general.
I'd like to receive everyone's input on my path forward to see what people think. You can view, vote, and comment on my ideas here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/42884867
Always feel free to comment below if you don't wish to set up an account to comment!

WEBSITE NOTICE
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone, I'm in the process of updating my primary domain with my new website! All the nsfw content has been moved to a subdomain, but as a result all my links are currently broken!
You can find ALL the content I post at the new subdomain: https://nsfw.audioelk.com
I will be fixing links as I get time to, and hopefully will have them all fixed by the end of next week :)

QUESTION FOR YOU!
Posted 5 years agoHey all! Lately I've been debating whether or not it's worth having the .swf version of all my uploads for FA. Flash support is being dropped from most of the major browsers this year and FA's only solution so far seems to be implementing an emulator instead of moving forward with a new upload format (i.e. mp4 uploads). Lately I've been struggling to justify having to convert every project I have into an SWF just to upload here, and would much prefer just linking to my site for the high quality version, though I've noticed when I do that posts tend to get far less engagement.
What do you think? Would you prefer I upload the low quality SWF here and link to my site for the high quality version, or just post the link to the high quality version on its own?

Life Updates, Project Updates, and The Future!
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone, first off a big welcome to all my new watchers! I figured with everything going around I should provide an update regarding my various projects, my Patreon, and life in general.
Life Updates
My life has gotten considerably busier with the spread of Covid-19. I work retail in addition to my freelance work, and my hours have skyrocketed. Sometimes I’m in at 2am, usually in at 4am, working at least a full 8 hours a day of hauling boxes of product around. I’m grateful to have the hours, though! It’s been exhausting bouncing between that, BoofVR, Patreon, and my other audio work.
Patreon
My Patreon is still going strong, however you may find me doing animations from a few of the same animators in the next few posts. This is mostly because I lack the time currently to find other animators and reach out to them for permission to use their work. There are also some changes I made to my Patreon recently:
• My surround sound access has been moved to the $3 tier, and the ability to suggest animations has been opened up to Patrons of any tier!
• I have hooked up my Discord server so all patrons will have access to a patron only chat, a channel specifically for animation suggestions, and a channel for you to provide suggestions for the Patreon as it develops!
• My surround mixes are now going to be posted separately from my weekly posts. I aim to have them both posted on Sunday, but if there are any problems with this, I may move the surround sound post to Monday Evenings.
I do want to leave a special shout out here for all of those who have become Patrons. I seriously wouldn’t be able to justify offering free audio services for the fandom without having the Patreon!
That being said I’ve set a few goals up on my Patreon that outline what I aim to do with the service. Right now, my goal is to simply break even on the amount of work I put into the Patreon each month. After that I have some plans to expand what I put into my work, from weekly Q&A/learning live streams, to hiring voice actors for each edit to provide better vocalizations (I’m currently doing them all myself lol), and even funding larger scale projects.
BoofVR
I am still very much involved in Werethrope’s BoofVR project! He’s currently looking to hire an additional programmer to help expand the project and bring more updates. This means I’ll be able to focus entirely on the audio side of things and hopefully we can bring some updates at a faster pace than before!
Additional Projects
If you follow my twitter you probably have seen that I’ve been working on an audio drama project I’ve been wanting to create for a while now. I planned to announce a casting call about a week ago but then decided to put the project on the backburner as my schedule blew up. I have the first 20 minutes of my concept episode written, and I was originally going to just work with that to create the concept. I decided I’d rather have the full episode planned out prior to making the concept, so that if there is enough interest after I finish the concept I can put the work into finishing the rest of the episode right away. Follow me on Twitter for most of my updates regarding this project! If you’re a voice actor feel free to send me a reel or various voice samples! You can DM me here, Twitter, or Discord!
That’s pretty much everything for now. I will post more updates as they develop, so keep an eye out either here or on Twitter!

PATREON RELAUNCH!
Posted 5 years agoGood News Everyone!
I ultimately decided to relaunch my Patreon so that I can provide weekly audio edits and not rely on commissions for income!
What does that mean for you? Patreon will allow me to:
• Create weekly audio edits, instead of relying on commissions to support my work
• Provide cheaper commissions to animators and commissioners, thus allowing more content
to have audio added to it without breaking the bank
• Focus all my energy on providing audio services to the fandom!
If you enjoy my work please consider supporting me! Tiers start at just $1/month, and every little bit goes a long way!

Welcome new watchers! Updates!
Posted 6 years agoHello everyone,
I've been kinda silent here but I wanted to post a journal to welcome all the new followers I've received since my time away. It's awesome to have you all here :)
I chose to shut down my Patreon as I felt I wasn't able to justify the amount of time I was sinking into working for not much benefit. I'm mostly going to focus on commissions and various projects that pop up instead.
Speaking of commissions, I am just finishing up my new commission pricing that should be much easier to understand and decide what you need. If you are thinking about getting audio added to your animations feel free to reach out and I can let you know my prices!
Additionally, I chose to enable the tip feature here on FA as well. If you wish to support me and my work I would be very grateful! I'm thinking about doing a raffle every few months where those who donate get a chance to request an animation for me to add sounds to :)
Lastly, if you're an animator who wants to get sounds added to their projects on the cheap, or even add an audio option to their commission pricing reach out! I'd be more than willing to work with you to come up with a fair and cheap pricing scheme!
That's all for now, hope y'all have a great day <3

I've been kinda silent here but I wanted to post a journal to welcome all the new followers I've received since my time away. It's awesome to have you all here :)
I chose to shut down my Patreon as I felt I wasn't able to justify the amount of time I was sinking into working for not much benefit. I'm mostly going to focus on commissions and various projects that pop up instead.
Speaking of commissions, I am just finishing up my new commission pricing that should be much easier to understand and decide what you need. If you are thinking about getting audio added to your animations feel free to reach out and I can let you know my prices!

PATREON, COMMISSIONS, AND UPDATES!
Posted 6 years agoHey everyone! I just wanted to post to announce that I am open for commissions again! I have my commission info in my profile if you're interested, so feel free to reach out!
Also, I chose to re-open my Patreon! I will be using it to generate consistent content and fund my effort into creating a learning resource hub for all things audio design! I'm not planning on hiding the content behind the paywall. I'm only using it as a support method to help me focus more time on creating more content.
If you wish to support me, I have 1, 3, and 5 dollar tiers! Your support means the world <3
You can view my Patreon here!
Other than that I'm just chugging away with work. Might be moving into a new space soon and my expenses are increasing, so I'm considering getting a second job or just committing harder to my freelance work to help cover things. Will update if the move happens!

I have a website, updates, more!
Posted 6 years agoHey everyone! I've officially gotten a website set up for all things AudioElk! Feel free to visit and check things out, as my longer animations that can't be uploaded to FA will be posted there.
Visit AudioElk here!
I am also still available for audio commissions, so if you're interested shoot me a note and we'll talk!
One final thing: I'm considering launching a patreon to allow people who wish to support me a consistent means to do so. Currently perks I've been considering are the ability to vote on monthly animations for me to add sound for and monthly votes + early access to various sound design tutorials. Let me know what you think as I'm still not sure if I'm going to do this :)

Updates and Thank You!
Posted 6 years agoHello everyone!
I just wanted to welcome and thank all the new followers I picked up from doing these audio edits on animations. I've officially started doing audio commissions for animators/clients with animations and I can't wait to keep working on stuff! I have big plans for AudioElk and the first one is to get a website set up where I can host this content (with permissions from the artists of course!).
Thanks again for the watches, comments, and favs! I hope to bring you more audio goodness in the future <3

Hello Y'all
Posted 7 years agoFigured I should put up a journal talkin about myself a bit. This profile is going to feature my own music plus art of Deckard. Any art of Deckard, unless otherwise specified, is not by me but by other artists! I will always credit artists in the title and description!
Other than that, here are some of my music tools that I use:
DAW: Cockos REAPER and Steinberg's Cubase. Typically Cubase for MIDI work but sometimes I'll hop between the two.
INSTRUMENTS: I have an acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and electric guitar. May never actually record these though.
VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTS: I use LA Scoring strings for my orchestral instruments, The GIANT for piano, and Session Horns Pro for brass. Currently looking for some percussion and woodwind instruments.
SYNTH VSTS: I typically use Cubase' stock synths, but I also have Mangle, a pretty interesting granular synth.
MISC.:: I have Galactic Assistant to create fun boops/bops/scifi stuff with if I ever use it for music.
That's all I use at the moment. I'm looking to save up to complete my orchestral set, and maybe pick up a few unique instruments along the way. I'm always up for answering any questions people have regarding music production and working with virtual instruments. I've learned quite a bit over the past few years and love sharing information!
