Good thing it was only $13.50 for the deal. It feels like an unfinished mod. I never thought firearms would work right for M&B, and they clearly don't at least not like this. This issue is further compounded by a lot of other changes, mostly downgrade in design and function (like the removal of tournaments. WTF!), and what little there was in god ideas were piss poorly implemented or suffering from related problems.

The entire game is bland, dull, slow, and aggravatingly uninformative. If you had any interest in trying M&B, get Warband, it's basically an upgrade to the original which in and of itself was awesome as hell.

In other news, new job is awesome shit. I should quit the part-time one because it turns my sinuses into a mucus factory and then a desert and leaving me feel like I've a cold the rest of the night.

I don't know who I hate more right now, America in general for being such an arrogant, stupid, gullible, and extremely short-termed memory group of people, or the Democrats for having no balls, no spine, and a whimpering voice when they ever make the effort to tell people what they actually did. I spent the past 40 some days canvassing for my congressman. He was up against an asshole of a republican he beat by 1500 votes in 2006. That asshole just beat him to take the seat back. I don't know if I hate my district more or the Democrats more because, if this election was mostly about jobs, it was the democrat who brought them to my county and the repub that shipped them overseas, and the guy who actually did anything good for us got kicked out for the asshole we got tired of stinking things up.

I can't decide who is stupider and who I should be more angry at. I mean, Kentucky voted in Rand Paul. RAND PAUL. If that insane ideologue got his way, the fucking Civil Rights Act would be repealed.

So maybe you don't always agree (or maybe even like) Keith Olbermann, but when he needs to make a point, there's no denying the finitely sharpened tip with which he carves it. America voted in a black man and centrist and we've seen the worst of the worst crawling out of the woodwork to denounce him and everything he strives for. Then, the republicans, even some formerly respectable republicans like John McCain, have taken to cracking open the chitinous bodies of these virulent "conservatives" and sucking their entrails down like a fish drinks water, all in an effort to cling to their power and money and influence. The lies, the slander, the flat out racism, and the mind boggling claims that would leave our founding fathers vomiting in their graves out of shock and disgust are so out of hand and have taken such control of even the saner, more rational, and moderate among us who would, in any other state of the country, have the foresight see these people as the mindless, fanatical zombies they are, that America is in danger of losing so much of not only what it has gained but what it stands for.

I'm not about to endorse Democrats. I'm as disillusioned as anyone else. I'm as angry as anyone else. As an independent and moderate, I'm appalled by the fact that I truly lack anyone representing me and others like me. But god fucking damnit if I'm going to sit idly by and watch these scum of the earth, who stand against everything I stand for and against so much of what makes this country great, all in the name of the corporate hands stuffing their pus filled wallets, take over this country.

So, then... I've obviously missed Anthrocon due to starting training for my new job. I am now a fully licensed insurance salesman for both Life and Health policies and fully trained to be out on my own delivering and explaining our programs to union members and people sponsored into everything. I am working for American Income Life and I can't wait for next week so I can start doing it all on my own ]:8D Also, I think I've made a friend for life with my training manager, Stefan (he's a guy... and also straight ]X8P ). Got home not long ago from watching The Last Airbender with him, actually. I won't bore you all with my nitpicking of the movie, but suffice to say it needed at least another 10 or 15 minutes to establish more character development, some Aang/Sokka silliness, and some Momo/Appa antics. Also, so many... smaller details, and some not quite so small, really pulled it away from the movie it deserved to be, even given the mass amount of content ultimately cut (No King Bumi! No Kyoshi Warriors! PROFOUND SADNESS!). Still, I enjoyed it overall, and I loved the fighting and bending scenes. Aang was by far with the better of the child actors and was a fucking martial arts beast so well done there. Also, lol, Aasif Mandvi was Commander Zhou ]X8D And by some strange coincidence seemed to have about 50 twins among the Fire Nation. For a second, I thought he was Prince Zuko... He did pretty well I think, though ]:8) Really, only Katara and Sokka were noticeably bad actors... like, really noticeably... ]|8.

ANYWAYS... My bootcamp as they called it for AIL and my new job had me out of the house for 12+ hours every weekday, plus out Saturday. I stand to make some very, very, VERY comfortable income, but this being a 100% indie contractor job it's all up to me. Still, looking much forward to it, as it fits in great for my personality and things just flow quite nicely for me. Basically, what we do is provide benefits to unions and associations and also provide child safe kits that work with Amber Alert. While our main focus are unions and their members, we get referrals of course and a fair amount of non-union families. All of our leads (technically, Child Safe we earn on out own) are provided by AIL, and we set up appointments on Monday and Thursday to go out and deliver and explain everything we've got, including the life insurance part itself. Appointment days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

The way I'll be getting paid is this:
Sales I make and policies I write out create an ALP amount, Annual Life Premium, and I'm paid in commission and bonuses on that ALP. With three to four typical sales, which would be on average one sale every appointment day, I'll hit the overall standard of 2200+ ALP. If I wrote 2200 ALP every week, once I'm a full agent within my first 10k ALP or 45 days, I'd taking home a solid $1,200 every week. On top of that (it's a 50% commission + 15% bonus from ALP overall income) there's what they call a "bucket account" to protect the company from early cancellations and lapses or declines on applications, and a portion of my overall commission goes into this. It's emptied every 9 months, so I'd be getting a very nice yearly bonus of sorts from it assuming I'm writing good business. And furthermore, I'm paid on retention, so after one year I'm getting a further 5% bonus on every policy I wrote that stick for 4+ months. After 10 years, I could literally retire from the job and live solely on retention checks, because after 10 years I'm paid for my life and the lives of clients I've sold to. I definitely am looking forward to all of this. Hopefully, I don't get burnt out heh.

Once I finish my single remaining class this fall for college, I plan to move into management, build up my own team, and start earning money off of their work and never need to set up anymore appointments. One of the Manager General Agents, Marissa, has been at my particular agency for less than 3 years and is at a solid 200K+ a year of income. Now THAT would be nice... ];8)

For those who don't know, I had been hired by American Income Life Insurance Company. I recently passed my state license exams and started work on memorizing, verbatim, a nine page sales pitch and presentation. Once I'm done memorizing it and have it down, I'll be starting "boot camp" and official training and shortly thereafter be on my own selling insurance. The problem is boot camp just started yesterday, Monday, and it's two weeks.

The next boot camp is the week of Anthrocon.

I cannot realistically, even IF my parents let me, go to Anthrocon this year because I must dedicate myself to the insurance job.

For those who didn't know, I was hired about two months ago by American Income Life to sell insurance. Long story short, I've needed to take a state licensing exam for Life and for Health in order to be licensed and start training and, shortly thereafter, selling insurance.

I've passed the tests. I start training tomorrow, commit to necessary paper work, and send out for my license.

This means my prospects for Anthrocon are greatly improved. I'll still need to make fully sure I can go such that AIL isn't going to get strangely anal on me, and (highly preferably) make sure I can snag at least one damn paycheck before going (which likely involves getting fully trained and being on my own at least one week prior, which isn't much time) ]:8P BUT... I should be able to get around my parents' being douchebags since they're convinced I wouldn't be able to go somehow even if I was given another job and told, "You'll start July 1st" which is obviously after the con, neverminding I have more than enough money for my share of a room, food, con reg, and travel expense, and still have a few weeks left of unemployment to go through. I've gotten the necessary guarantee of work, damnit, and I'm gonna make sure I can go to AC one way or another ]X8D
