If it isn't blatantly obvious, I haven't been around for awhile...

Just wanted to let you all know I'm good and still around. I just haven't been drawing for quite some time now, it stopped bringing me joy and happiness for a period of time. Because of that time away, my ability to draw as well as I used to has diminished.

I am working on drawing again, but likely won't post anything until I'm satisfied that I've caught back up to my standards. Hopefully won't take too long, but it is what it is.

I just figured since since it's been 2 years since I've done any update, it was about time to let you all know what's been going on.

You'll start seeing more art from me in the next few months :).

Damn it. DAMN IT!!!

Due to unforseen circumstances. I now find myself computerless. And of course without a computer I can't do digital art or scan any art :(

Seems to never fail... I get a good thing going and life throws a giant fucking wrench into it. It should only last a couple months. Then I will be back up and running.

I've realized that the challenge I've set for myself is way to ambitious. It's still my goal, but I'm going to be more lenient on it.

As someone with a full time job 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and a pathetic excuse of a personal life. I can't keep up with the original goal. There's too many obstacles in life to complete this challenge the way I wanted to. If I decide to meet with friends, there is no drawing. If I am feeling like crap, there is no drawing. If I have to do anything other then draw, there is no drawing that day.

I have lost a handful of sketches too from computer problems (forgot to save too). Then I get frustrated and say screw it.

Sooo in all. I cannot possibly do this challenge the way I initially thought. But my goal is still do get out a drawing a day if possible. My intentions of the challenge was to get better at drawing as quickly as possible. I still will do that, just at slower pace so I don't stress myself out in the process.

I will still get to the requests as I can. I appreciate everyone's patience as I get around to doing them.

Lately, I haven't been drawing much. Because of depression, anxiety, insecurities, and general bad choices of priorities. I've always had a delusion that I'll get better overnight, or that if I don't draw for awhile, I will be able to relearn after forgetting how to draw and in turn get better. Drawing is one of my few passions in life and I've let it go for too long. I'm done with that. I finally come to terms that I'll never get better at anything without devoting myself to it. So I have made some changes to my priorities in life, and bumped drawing much much higher on my list of priorities.

Which leads me to my goal for the next year. I will do a drawing a day and post it for the next year. This is a huge task for me. In the years I've been posting online (since 13 years old I think) I haven't even posted 365 total.

Most of these drawings likely won't be very good. I plan to post them whether or not they are completely finished. For obvious reasons, there will be days where I won't have the time to get a completed drawing out. But at the minimum, I will post sketches or line art. So a majority of these will go into my scraps section, unless it is worthy to put in my main gallery. In the event, that I will not be able to draw/post and image any given day. I will make it up by drawing two the next day. Or, if it's a longer period of time (vacation), I will extend out the finish date, until I have posted 365 drawing.

All of the images that I post, especially the ones for this project, are open to critique (good or bad, but preferably constructive :3).


P.S. You are welcome to ask for drawings to be done. I cannot make any promises that I will do them, or what the content may be. If you wish to possibly have me draw your fursona or any other character, post references in the comments below.

So I was watching the video for RMFC's promo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lxAqyJKR8A for the new hotel they are in. When it got to the end, the guy talking is wearing the 'I'm a Fox' badge I made last year!

It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I totally thought any that sold would just float away into oblivion never to be seen again.

The Furry patch is also something my cohorts and I put together and sold at last year's RMFC. Sadly, we will not be there again this year as OpaqueFox.

But I will be there as myself!

I'm debating on creating a new account with a new name and leaving this one behind. I don't feel like I associate with the name Dekri anymore, it feels distant and old now and not catchy whatsoever; which I think is important for art marketing.

I would probably end up loosing a ton of watchers. But maybe the fresh start is whats needed?

I don't know... What have you seen in the past with people that did this? Do you think it's a good or bad idea?

I'm thinking of doing some free art. Of coarse I'd love to do some stuff for money, but I just don't want that stress right now. But, still I'd like practice at drawing others requests.

I have a few rules and warnings of coarse. I'm not trying to be an ass, like I said before I don't want the stress of what I put myself though when doing commissions.
-I am not a fast artist, so I will take whatever time I want/need to complete the drawing.
-I will complete the art however I choose. sketch/line art/flat colors/cell or full shading.
-Please keep your ideas at one character with no backgrounds for now. If a pose doesn't work, I will change it without notice. But, I will keep it as similar as possible.
-Only one image per person.
-I will not tolerate pressure or constant questions of "Is it done yet? Can I see updates?" A lot of time I am not at my computer and not able to draw/respond.
-If you choose to tip me... I'm not going to turn you down, haha. If you do choose to, it will be at your own will. I will not discuss it during the picture. And will accept only after the picture is complete.
-I swear I'm not an ass, ask anybody that knows me. I'd be glad to chat and make friends (though I think I am rather boring and bad at small talk).

I'm going to open 3 slots, and I'm not going to promise they'll be done in any certain order. Obviously, if it's a tougher drawing it's going to take longer. First come first serve, please comment below with reference images. And send me a note if you're idea has a lengthy description or you don't wish to share to the world XD.

If you don't get the top 3 spots, still post in the comments. When I finish one, I may choose to continue.

I need to learn how to draw cum better. Does anybody know of any tutorials that I can use. Or maybe offer any suggestions or tips as to how to properly draw and color it? It doesn't matter whether the tutorial is in Photoshop or SAI

And more detailed how to draw cum on white fur... I didn't realize how much of a headache it was gonna be until a certain fur... you know who you are... brought it to my attention.

I've looked over a ton of images and tried to duplicate how they do it, but for whatever reason I can't seem to.

So I'm reaching out, trying to get some help.

We're a couple weeks into 2013, but I figured I'd still list out my own resolutions. These have acutally been rattling in my head for a while but as always there no better time then a new year.

So I'm gonna gain forty pounds and become the next D!
LOL no I'm not.

But I do want to... (starting off with the same ones everybody else in the world has to more personal)
-Loose weight and become more healthy! I started off last year at about 220lbs now I'm about 175lbs. But I still have a ways to go before I hit my goal of 150.
-Quit smoking... nasty fucking habit.
-Start drawing more and try to make a career out of it. Get loaded up with commissions and become a well known artist. Doesn't happen over night I know, but I will attempt to make somewhat of a living off of art. As it is my passion.
-Build a portfolio of concept art and see where that may take me!
-I know the past few have been repetitive but one last one. Become full time independent illustrator or get into some art related career.
-Support to the best of my ability my boyfriend and best friend in their ventures into creating a fursuit company as well as their side ventures of sewing. And give them the best possible chance to succeed.

-Be happy and far less depressed. Last year was rough beyond belief and has changed me for the worst. I am no longer the happy go lucky person I once was, I want to be that again.

Been playing for quite a while now, and am completely loving the game.

Nope not dead at all. Was starting to think I was though... Anyways went through a lot of emotional breakdowns caused by job stress. Quit that job instantly was rejuvinated and got a new job. New job is less pay but hopefully much more happiness. Then I started to try to use photoshop to improve my coloring technique but started having tech issues. I figured it was a hard drive problem due to lack of memory. So I bought a new one installed a new copy of windows on it, and then that hard drive failed! On top of that, it didn't fix my photoshop issue. So to sum things up, had to reformat my computer 4 times. Fun! *sarcasm*

Now that everything is looking up, except photoshop, I've been going back into drawings and finishing them up.

So in turn I am many things but not dead. Oh no my good sirs NOT DEAD!

I've been playing CoD a lot lately with my good friend and room mate  hyenablu Its his 360 so I don't play that often and when I am we're usually split screening. But I need some friends on there to play with, so we can start the fuzzball revolution!

I just finished watching the documentary. I've been waiting for a long time to finally see it and now that I did I have mixed emotions. I don't think its quite what I expected... not sure if thats a good or a bad thing. First off, a brief explanation of what "Exit Through the Gift Shop" is about. Basically, its a film about street art. It's directed by Banksy a filmed by another person that eventually end up calling himself Mister Brainwash. The film is great in the respect that it actually shows some of the greatest street artists do what they do best. Watching Banksy, Shepard Fairey, and Space Invader actually work was pretty amazing.

Now the part that is giving me mixed emotions is the underlying question to the end of the film, "what is art?". So the Filmer is pretty much... to put it nicely, not all there in the head. He films everything, and did so before even considering himself a film maker. He found an interest in street art so he tracked these guys down to film them. Eventually he tries his hand in art, and within a year or even less of being an "artist" puts on a giant art show and makes millions. Now what I don't get is he is not that good at art in my opinion, its all pop culture umm... commentaries? i guess? I don't think there is any meaning behind what he does. And the part that drives me nuts is he really doesn't do a lot of it. He comes up with the ideas then employs real artists to create it. And somehow he becomes the biggest sensation in Los Angeles, being called the modern Andy Warhol or some shit like that.

Most of us have been doing art for years, flushing out style, working for perfection, and releasing our stuff for the most part free online. And then theres this idiot that pops into the art world and makes millions off his crappy so called "artwork" (which is more like photoshoped pop culture images). I was glad to hear that some things were said about it from the major artists in the film.

Tomorrow I'm going to the Denver Art Museum with my parents to see the King Tut exhibit, and I'm also going to be walking around looking at the art. I wonder how pissed off I'm going to be after words looking at what is considered art, realizing how much bullshit it is, and how much money some hipster made off of it will one hour of not-so-hard work.

What music do you listen to when your in a creative mood? Just curious.

Sorry for the little bit of slowdown lately. Kinda got stuck in a unproductive rut. Started when I got sick on my birthday last Sunday and lasted until yesterday or so. I tried to draw during the time but... that wasn't happening. So I need to get myself back into the groove of drawing. So I apologize for the lack of posts that are about to not happen :P. I'll get back into it shortly.

I have to say good on Dragoneer for explaining the decision in the best, most unbiased way possible.

I personally am not a big fan of cub work, so this effects me very little. But I did watch a few artists that do some cub work, not because it was cub but because it was good art despite the content of the image. And to those people I feel sympathy towards. Yes, there are other places to go but having such a choice in art preference must be annoying, never quite sure when your gallery is going to have to be taken down and moved to another site that may end up going with the same decision at any given time.

With this issue coming forward, I do have to point something out. I have had people question the age of my characters many times, I want to clarify that my characters are never underaged. They are all at least 18 or older. I do not have any want or desire to do cub artwork and have never done so in the past. My style does tend to sometimes make characters appear younger, but that is not the case nor is it my intention.

Ok I'm done with my extremely tired and partially woozy from getting over a cold rambling that I typed on my phone while laying in bed unable to sleep.

I just saw something that has totally given me the chills for the past hour.

I was outside tonight enjoying the cool air and looking up at what I think is Jupiter and saw lights moving out of the corner of my eye. I looked at it thinking it was a plane and well... it could have been. But my only problem with that is it didn't have any indicator lights, like the ones on the wing tips that are always blinking and it was completely silent. All I could hear was the highway traffic near my home. It was about at the elevation of a small Sesna single engine plane, but was going faster then one, but not quite fast as a military jet. It had just 3 dim white lights on the bottom, one up front and two on back separated out kinda like on wings.

I'm just baffled, I want to say it was a stealth jet, but don't those make at least a little audible noise? And isn't it regulation to have the indicator lights on, especially in a major city only miles from a small airport and a major international airport? I just don't know right now what to think. I'm skeptical, but I can't find any evidence online or anywhere as to what it may have been.

*chills* I'm not kidding about any of this either. If that description sounds familiar to anyone and has proof of what it may have been let me know, cause I'm freaking out right now.
