Fuzzbutt 2015 info! Sign up by June 23!!!!
Posted 10 years ago**** UPDATE 6/9/2015*******
OK! in the final booking stages for the Tourney! The House is booked and am talking with the agents for the golf. Looks like 6 rounds at the Barefoot and Caledonia resorts are $720 a person for that time of year. slightly more than I expected but still a great deal for the time of year and weather we will have!
With that said, I need to book soon. Right now I know I have 8 golfers, with 2 more having surgery this week and hopefully will be able to play come October..so that would be 10. I can take 2 more golfers to max out at 12 but that is it! Tee times are booked in 4s so any more than that will make it very awkward.
Golf payments are done individually. Once I book each PLAYER can log into the website and set up an account. They will be responsible for paying their $100 deposit by 60 days of arrival. The total charge for the golf is made to their credit card 3 days before our arrival. If you need to cancel you must do it by 2 weeks of arrival.
So I WILL BE BOOKING the golf in 2 weeks...June 23rd! IF you want to play this may be your last chance!!!!!
Here is last years Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=292gsJJjPDU
This year I am hoping to have a few more golfurs to make a at least 12! Twelve seems to be a good number because most of the rental properties I have looked at seem to have a 12 person max capacity...so with that said the first 12 Golfurs to commit will get to go. Then I will see..should we have more..oe if mates want to join....if accommodations can be made. SO...heres the details!
What: 4 round Modified Stableford format
When: October 1 - October 7th 2015 Tournament will be oct 2-6 so arrive a day before and leave the day or two after
Where: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Who: First 12 (or so) to commit BY MARCH 31!!! I already know most of the furs from last year will be returning so really Im looking for 4-5 more...
Cost: golf (~$720 for 6 rounds..plus any extra you may want to play) and house (~400 max) Transportation is up to you!
The Plan this year is to rent a beach house near or on the water that can accommodate all 8-12 or more of us. This cuts the lodging costs down a lot. Booking early lets us have more options and find a nicer place especially if more commit. Also lets folks Save up and get vacation approved.
This is the rental house http://www.vrbo.com/3844816ha Smack dab in the middle of myrtle beach and only 5 minutes from the Airport. Split 12 ways a 7 day rental would be like $400 a person..which is the MOST I will look for in accommodations. This big a place would also be good for folks that want to bring a mate along. They can split the lodging costs but wouldnt need to golf. I have already booked it and put the deposit of 2200$ down...so I will need yours as soon as possible but latest by April 31. I will be paying the deposit and you will be paying me...thus If I do not get the deposit then you may lose your spot. That deposit will be refundable Until August 1st. After that if you cancel then you will not get it back. That will be used to offset the cost for other players. Deposit will probably be ~200 each..depending on players. Sorry!
The golf will be an a la carte thing...but there are some nice golf only packages at various courses. There is the Barefoot Resort which just hosted the Big Break show on Golf Channel. They have some nicely rated courses there www.barefootgolf.com .
Also on my list is The True Blue Plantation and Caledonia http://www.fishclub.com . They have 6 Round deals that we can use between the resorts..and for the time of year we will be going they would be $720. There are other nice courses all around but these seem to have the most appeal for cost and quality.
in the end I WILL BE CHOOSING THE GOLF AND BOOKING THE HOTEL..SO YOU WILL HAVE TO PUT UP WITH MY CHOICES! I do like input from other folks but in the end for my own sanity I will have the final say in the venues. I cant please everyone and most seem to be ok with what I choose so its easier to just do it and hope everyone doesnt hate me for it later lol.
I also made the Trophy and give out participation gifts..so therefore I get to choose nyah!
The Weather this time of year in Myrtle Beach is perfect. Temps in the 70s with the ocean water still warm enough to swim. I guarantee it WILL be lots of fun!
So please Note me if you want more details! You must Commit by March 31!!!

Fuzzbutt Golf 2014 Planning!
Posted 12 years agoHello!
If you are receiving this it is because you are interested in the Fuzzbutt golf tournament (AKA you like GOLF!) ! BOY ARE YOU LUCKY! A chance to go on a fun golf vacation with like minded furries and win a sweet ass trophy!! Past Champions include Nbowa Lion in 2012 and the current champion Delako Husky in 2013!
Heres last years Video documenting our experience!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8KIbcGQH7s
But before you start daydreaming about hoisting the Fuzzbutt Cup over your head in victory...we need to talk...
Were tryin to get a preliminary planning done for our Furry golf tourney next year. So far We are confident that atimist , nbowa , jaceshepherd and delako will be attending. Of course we want as many players as possible, but worst case scenario is we get 5 total players...since resorts do not allow 5-somes and its just not as fun to play a group of 2 and 3. Therefore I am trying to find at least 2 others that may want to come to give us a total of 6 (two 3-somes). After that..the more the merrier! So if you know anyone please ask! I want to book in February, giving folks that are confirmed a full 6 months to save if needed.
Anywho! The plan this year so far is to go around the same time we went this past year, which was the last weekend in September. Its between major conventions so that should make it easier for folks to come. Its also a time of year where we can go pretty much anywhere and have decent weather.
That being said we are trying to keep the cost below 1000$ for the golf..travel and food etc not included. I want to try to get everyone involved and happy for the lowest price possible, but I also want a quality vacation for everyone too and not have folks feel like they are compromising. So we will eventually have a vote once we get CONFIRMATIONS on which folks are attending. The folks confirming they want to go need to be OK with ANY AND ALL choices available before the vote..and not back out once the vote is made if their top choice isnt picked. I will personally be putting down the deposit on the booking, with the attendees paying me upon arrival at the resort.
So, I would like to have a list of 5 resort choices.
The Options thrown around right now have been...
Pinehurst
TPC Sawgrass
La Quinta
Barton Creek
PInehurst would probably be the most expensive. I dont know what rates would be in September, but thats near peak season so I would expect at least 200-300 a night including golf, plus the 195$ fee for playing No. 2. Theres a pretty sweet Acura deal going on now for 3 rounds and 2 nights for 720$..plus each room (booked in pairs) gets a 300$ gift card and dinner and breakfast is included...but I dont know if that would be available when we go.
TPC Sawgrass would be around 1000$ for 3 rounds (2 on the dye and 1 on the stadium). Would be awesome to play the stadium...Cheapest option for me since its only a 6 hour drive or so ;)
Barton Creek is in Austin, Texas. It has a few really nice courses (best in Texas) and the prices are pretty moderate. It would probably be between 800-1000$ for a 4 night stay, but the nice thing about this one is you can replay the courses for free (with cart fee only). So theres potential for a LOT more golf.
La Quinta is the least expensive option. With the room and golf it comes out to around 500-600 a person for 4 nights and 4 rounds including PGA West. The reason being..is that in late september the daytime temps are still in the mid 90s there... We would be there a few weeks before overseeding, so course conditions shouldnt be a problem.
I would also LOVE to have fursuits too. I can forsee a Fursuit Pitch Putt and Drive contest with a special trophy for that winner...but I would have to ask the reort if thats doable..and weather permitting may not be feasable. But Suits are welcome in the hotel! Nbowa had fun last year in Kiawah waving at joggers :)
So! Please feel free to share this with anyone you think may be interested! Also please make some Resort suggestions. We need to narrow it down to 5 Choices before the confirmed attendees have a vote to decide this years location of the FUZZBUTT INVITATIONAL!!!
So I will set a soft deadline for Confirmation of..February 15th. At that time we will have our vote and book by Feb 28th.
Please reply to me with any suggestions on courses or other ideas or concerns!
Hope to see you on the course!

2013 Fuzzbutt Golf Invitational Announcement!
Posted 12 years ago Please spread this around. Would like to get at least 4 on this trip. I know its not cheap but maybe there is a golfing furry out there that would like to experience this..and can afford it!
What: Fuzzbutt Golf Invitational! (modified Stableford Format)
Who: So far
Delako ,
Nbowa ,
Atimist (hopefully) and any other golfing furry!
Where: Kiawah Island Golf Resort
When: Arrival Sept 27 in Charleston and finding a cheapy place to stay that night. Staying and golfing in Kiawah Sept 28, 29, 30. Leaving Oct 1.
Why: The chance to take the Fuzzbutt Trophy away from last years winner...Nbowa! Oh yeah...and to have a fun golf vacation with fellow minded furries :)
Details:
We want to Book by the end of May! A 1 night deposit is required which
delako will front.
This isnt a cheap trip unfortunately. A 4 person Villa with a 3 night stay and 3 nights of golf will cost about $1050 per person.
However this DOES include all taxes and fees, AND a round at the famed Ocean Course..which is ranked the Hardest Course in America and is also ranked the #4 best Public golf course in America. It held a Ryder Cup, PGA Championship and senior PGA. Green fees for just golf alone without staying at the resort would cost about 750$...
There are 4 other courses to choose from, each of which are great courses and each offering a different feel of golf. We can decide on that later.
Fees NOT included are: Cart or Caddy Fees. The Ocean Course is walking only before 12pm, but you can get a cart after 12. I dont care for the expense of a caddy (with tip..about 100$) So playing later is fine by me! I prefer to ride on vacation :)
We Will also be renting a car so that cost will be split among whoever else decides to join us.
Dont forget to budget for food! Im sure there are places to eat around the resort that wont cost us Resort prices..but do expect to pay a bit more than usual :)
Hope to get at least 4 on this trip! So please if you are interested shoot
delako a note!

single and looking - addendum
Posted 13 years agoMy last post may have seemed like I was looking for very specific things. I know not everyone I meet will match perfectly with my 'ideal' mate. So please don't let that deter anyone from reaching out to talk to me! Ive liked folks that are far from my ideal. Its more of a chemistry thing...but usually having a few in common hobbies helps with that chemistry. The distance thing is an issue usually but sometimes that can't be helped...and if love happens it'll find a way to bring us closer
So say hi! Im willing to talk to you! :)

Single and Looking... :)
Posted 13 years ago Ive never been one to feel like I need a mate, but Ive been doing a lot of traveling lately, being the 3rd wheel, all that jazz, and I cant help but think the only thing missing in my life is a special someone to share it with. I have a great job, make good money, have a house and 2 cars, stress free life, but have NO ONE TO SHARE IT WITH! So I think I am ready to start looking.
There are a few folks that I am interested in, but they are with others, or too far away. I dont want a long distance relationship, but I determine long distance to mean anyone living more than a 4 hour drive from me. I have long weekends every other weekend, so a 4 hour drive is fine for a weekend visit, which would be better than dating someone online and only seeing them once a year at a convention. Also living in Florida is a big plus, since should the person I find be in florida and we become serious, moving jobs in my profession is much easier staying in the state of florida.
The kind of person Id like to be with needs to be somewhat athletic, being able to play sports..particularly golf, or at least have a like of sports and sporting events. While I like gaming, I really dont play them too often, so I dont feel Id get along too well with someone that was an exclusive gamer and didnt do much else. Weightlifting is great too since I love going to the gym. Someone that is competitive is a big plus. I love fun competition because I feel it helps you improve yourself if you have someone to go up against :)
I usually swoon over the artsy types, though I dont know how well that would pan out in a long term relationship if there wasnt some other linking traits like sports or photography. Not saying we have to share EVERYTHING in terms of hobbies, but a few commonalities are always needed otherwise its just 2 people doing their own thing and not together.
Im not too big into music. I cant cook. I like art and reading, but I dont appreciate it enough. I like geeky things, but I usually dont have the attention span to really get deep into them. Id love to find someone that is also enthusiastic about those things to help me learn more about them. I love encouraging others to go for their goals.
Werewolves! UNF!
I love photography! Traveling would be much better with someone that also loves it, finding places to take awesome pictures...golfing...eating...mmmmm
As far as looks go Im not usually that picky, except that I dont like back hair! Ewww! :) Id prefer a person with a bit of heft on them, be it fat or muscle..or both! ;) But smaller is good too..makes me feel that much more big! But they need to be somewhat active, like going out to DO things (not just go out to drink or party), challenging me to do the same.
Age preference is between 25-40, since I am 34.
I love going to the movies.
My personality is pretty easy going. Im agreeable on major issues, but I do love to play devils advocate just to have some fun. Its not always good to just AGREE on everything...so a little disagreement, even if its just on the proper procedure on how to make a taco, is fun to me, and Id like someone that can dish it back to me. If I really like you I will pick on you, but I know the limits an respect them.
I am a bit of an introvert when it comes to meeting new people in large groups. I prefer small group gatherings (6-8 people) over going out to a huge crowd (aka Bars, concerts...). I hate bars and much prefer the bowling alley. I prefer DOING things rather than just sitting around talking and drinking.
So personality types I like are the somewhat sarcastic, but also cute personalities. I like fursuits and cute things. I do not like depressed people for too long, not to say I dont understand or care about folks that get sad, but if you are ALWAYS EMO then there will be a problem. I want to be with someone that is happy, not constantly depressed. so..SMILE! :)
So if youre within 4 hours of the Florida Panhandle and want to get to know a big heavy golfing husky, send me a note or message! Lets see what happens
