Hello everyone!
General | Posted 10 years agoIts clearly been a while since I'd last posted here. I sorta drifted away from being sociable, I suppose. How are the rest of you doing? ^^
I can't promise I'll post more, but I miss most of you, and wanted to say hello :p

Anyone going to RCFM next weekend?
General | Posted 11 years agoI'm sorta just looking for a headcount so I know whether to make the trip or not. I can't get Thursday night off work, so if I did go, it'd make Friday questionable.
Just a quick hi
General | Posted 12 years agoI don't think I'll make it to MFF this year. Or if I do, its much more likely that it'd only be a Saturday thing...which in and of itself seems kind of silly, considering the long drive to then from x.o;. That being said, things with work are a little questionable this time of year (Long story), so I'd rather just do the day trip and not spend hundreds of dollars that I might need later for RL stuff.
Tank, if you're going SAY SO :p. My number hasn't changed.
Otherwise, who else is going, and what've you got planned? :)

Tonaba advertising bump, and a "I'm still alive" notice
General | Posted 12 years ago*************
There's an awesome furry card game on Kickstarter right now called Tonaba! You should click this link and go there to back it: http://bit.ly/tonabaks
They're also running a journal raffle where you can win free prizes here: http://bit.ly/tonabaraffle
All you have to do is post a journal linking to the Kickstarter project and the original raffle journal!
***********
I wish them the best, but I haven't got the kind of money to fund them single-hand. It really does sound rather interesting. So if all else, go check it out. And hey..lots of awesome art work :), that's always nice.
If you've already heard of it, www.hextcg.com's own kickstarter went well past the 2 million dollar mark.
I'll be at Anthrocon so long as nothing weird happens between now and then.
I don't think I'll be at Origins this weekend
I should make it to GenCon in August.
I haven't heard back from this job offer I was assured was a sure thing ;_;, so I'm still in Greenwood working the 3rd shift. I'm so glad I got that second degree >_>.
So...yeah, updated!

General | Posted 12 years agoOk, so there are a LOT of really awesome people doing artsy stuffs these days. I wouldn't mind getting more art, but I need reference pics. I have one or two I've always been happy with, but have any of you got any idea how hard it is to find pics that are otherwise suitable to represent me with? :P. Suggestions? Ideas? Comments?
Its not like I'm starting with half of a concept, but there aren't a lot of avian pictures out there, and fewer artists that like doing them.

Hello everyone
General | Posted 12 years agoSorry I'm not around much. May or may not make it to FCN this year (learned this morning that its this weekend, if that shows how out of touch I've gotten x.x; ) No real big plans coming up, just saving money (Ha! ) and living la vita loco. I do check Facebook a little more often, but will try and cross post if something's really relevant.
Assuming I drive up to FCN, it'd probably be a saturday only thing. I have to see what Ishta is doing to know whether he's staying here or if I'll be house sitting. I wouldn't mind bringing people with me, but I know long car rides aren't everyone's idea of fun. On the other hand, yay furcons \o/.
Leave a note, or an e-mail, or catch me online somewhere. In the meantime, I'm about to get some sleep. I'm ok with this graveyard shift thing, sleep just needs to quit evading me.

New Years plans?
General | Posted 13 years agoLooking for a group to hang out with for New Years, haven't really heard much from my usual group, and didn't want to fly solo for the rest of the week. :).
General pc/console gaming question
General | Posted 13 years agoFeel free to reply here or via PM if you'd rather not everyone know for some reason or other.
What games do you like to play?
I'm primarily a PC gamer. I say this knowing I don't have an all that great computer, but its what I prefer. I use Steam a Lot, but anything I can play outside of it, will probably run better because that's one fewer program hogging resources at any given time.
Here's a list of games I tend to poke at more than once a month
League of Legends.
MechWarrior Online
DOTA 2
World of Warcraft (I just play one of my roomy's accounts for them.)
PlanetSide 2
Tribes Ascend
Borderlands (Only own 1)
Left for Dead 2
Team Fortress 2
Minecraft
And then there's a plethora of other games that are either not multi player, or that I don't play all that often for one reason or another.
We DO have all the current 'next gen' systems here at the house, but I tend not to touch those systems all that often. Someone else is usually using the TV here, so I try not to get all that attached. They've got plenty of the newer and big favorite games, so if need be, I wouldn't be opposed to get in a few games with ya that way.
Let me know all the same :).

Small impromptu get together
General | Posted 13 years agoIf you're within driving range of the sound of my post, I'm holding a small party/get together at my house all this weekend. Give me a call, let me know you're coming, and we'll negotiate food and such as plans come together :). Cross posting to FB and G+
Passing along some valid, if not intensely personal info.
General | Posted 13 years agohttp://www.furaffinity.net/journal/...../#cid:29912900
I'd suggest not clicking the link if you're not of the age of consent, or have no interest in any contextual information for which such a warning would be necessary. The information herein is valid, eerily accurate, and something I figured I agreed with to enough of an extent to pass along. All credit to this idea belongs to its author, and many kudos to him for speaking his mind...which is obviously something I can't/won't do.
Second, as much as I am sorry to have to say it, I will not be able to make it to MFF. It would be irresponsible of me to put the trip onto a credit card I'm trying not to use except in the event of an emergency. The fact that a convention has come up that some very dear friends of mine will be at, as awesome as it would be to see many of you again, isn't quite as world ending as emergency car repair, family emergencies, or watching the Hobbit movie in the nation of Texas before the Mayan calender ends. I love many of you dearly, but I just can't spend money I don't have right now.
Take care, enjoy, live long and procreate, and take lots of pictures :).

Not much going on here. Also...Lizard!

The person at the above link's willing to take a commission for a fursuit head, if you win, you get it, if you don't, it was random, so don't cry about it :).
As for my life, Busy as always, not always as productive as I'd like. Campus seems to have goofed up my financial aid for the summer courses, so I'm paying for them out of pocket until they get their stuff together and decide how best to compensate me for my trouble. Still going to GenCon, not sure about anything else outside of IFC, since its only across town.
AC was pretty cool, I hope those of you that made it had an awesome time and can come back again next year. If you couldn't make it, its alright, it'll still be there next year!.
Personally, in the process of trying to meet new people and 'get out more', but I find myself still spending more time at home and gaming, easier that way for me I suppose.
Classes are doing well, still not a big fan of group projects, as I'd still rather be doing the work myself so that I'm not relying on someone else to do their part. I'd rather be in charge of my own grade, essentially.
Hanging in there otherwise. Take care and be safe everyone ^^
.....nope, no lizard here :(.

Redundant AC meme
General | Posted 13 years agoQ: Where are you staying?
Some undisclosed rafter or loft, so long as I'm in the shade and out away from that blasted sun x.x
Q: When will you be arriving and leaving?
Somewhere between after work Wednesday ( making arrival time 11pm Wed) to sometime early Thursday (depends on whether I stop to sleep before I get there, or after I get there for a few hours.
Q: Who will you be rooming with?
Entirely debatable, if you can climb and I don't have to carry you off for dinn..er...hanging out purposes, then we'll talk.
Q: Where will you be most of the time during the day/s?
During staffing hours, I'll be in the artists alley helping to check you out...or helping at check out...or checking you out while checking you out...There's a proper answer in here somewhere. o.o; Otherwise, who knows, maybe gaming, maybe eating, hopefully getting invited to a room party or three. Sleep at a con is for the weak, after all.
Q: What/where will you be eating?
I'll be at Furnando's at least once or twice a day. Otherwise I'm hoping to make the hike to the open market that's between the hotel and the Primanti Brothers (Another place I may consider eating at while I'm in town). There's this awesome breakfast bagel place not too far from the convention center I'll probably enjoy a breakfast or two at. If friends have any other ideas or offers, we can discuss it between now and then :).
Q: Will you be having a room party?
Most likely not, but I'll happily try to make time to visit yours if I am permitted!
Q: Will you be drinking and/or getting drunk?
Perhaps, though the later is entirely unlikely as I've yet to encounter the proper quantity or desire to achieve said goal.
Q: What is your gender?
Q: How tall are you?
A: 5'9-10-ish. And lanky.
Q: If I approach you, will you chat with me?
After you let me know who you are, and perhaps after you prove it to me, then I'd be more than happy to! Keep in mind, I can go entire semesters and not remember my professors names, so just saying 'Hi I'm so and so" will likely result in funny looks as I zip past at near Kage like speeds.
Q: If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Shout! I'm probably not going to be able to hear you unless I'm paying attention, and I'm probably not paying attention to much of anything besides work, customers, or trying to find things to do.
You're welcome to call, I've got so many long distance minutes that they're starting to expire. But only send one or two texts as a last resort, those things cost me every time I get one x.x;. I doubt I'll be paying for wireless access while I'm there, so the phone's the next most reasonable option...though I'll try to keep up at Tigerden.
Q: How many furry conventions have you attended?
Umm...errrr.....quite a few by now.
Q: Do you own a fursuit?
Nope!
Q: Can I hug or snuggle with you?
I'm not a big fan of random hugs :(. If I know who you are, that's different, but see above.
Q: How can I find you?
I'll be working in the artist alley area. Look for the one wearing the bandanna looking to take your money. :)
Q: Can I buy you drinks?
Sure, but why waste good alcohol?
Q: Can I look in your sketchbook?
I don't carry one, can't draw the paper bag, much less draw my way out of one :p.
Q: Can I draw in your sketchbook?
I'm ok with teh arts, but see above.
Q: Can I take your picture?
Ah Hail no! No cameras, no pictures, no nothing! >_<
Q: Do you do do free art, trades, commissions, badges?
See above
Q: Do you have a table in the Artist Alley / Dealer's Den or a panel in the Art Show? If so, what are you selling?
A table? I have All the tables! Look for me behind a register.
Q: Do you plan to volunteer?
If you know me, you know that's about all I do at these conventions anyhow.
Q: What's your goal for the con this year?
I'd like to have a good time, that's actually harder for me than it sounds :p.
As for other random messages...who knows, this was meant mostly to spam you with yet another meme you're probably not going to read over anyhow :). See y'all there if I can, feel free to say hi if you recognize me, let me know how things are and whats going on when. I'll be more than happy to hang out if I'm free to do so.

General | Posted 13 years agoNot that it'll help much, but I'm on facebook now. Since I don't seem to check in here all that often, I'm not sure how much that'll help x.o;...I suppose its an option all the same.
Look for Delphi Vinn there, that'll likely be me. The icon's of a turtle hiding in its shell...appropriate, no? :).

Posting for compliance
General | Posted 15 years agoAs part of an art giveaway, I'm asked to post a link to the artist's journal. They've got some really nice stuff, so it wouldn't hurt to head their way all the same ^^.

As much as it makes me look like a heel...yes, that's all that I'm writing this post for :(. Still the quiet type, never really much for me to say anywhere.
Though on a similar note, I guess I could add that I've posted a pic or two I thought were safe enough for me to do so with. If you have seen, or know of other pics of me (preferably PG or so), please do let me know so I can at least favorite them. Otherwise I'd have to try and contact artists to see if I could scan then upload other things I'd collected of myself over the years.
I'm still working on this whole 'getting out of my shell' thing, so leave me be about never posting :p.

First post!
General | Posted 17 years agoActually, I highly doubt I'll be using this very often. I've got all of five watchers and I think most of you already sorta kinda follow my livejournal anyhow :).
For the rest of you that'd like to know how to find it, send me a message, so that I keep the number of strange mystery people to a minimum as opposed to posting the link willy nilly and then wondering who the new person is that's added me :P. Say hi, introduce yourself, I don't peck too hard :>.
Anyhow, I'm kinda glad the site's back up and running, even if I hardly ever log in, as its another option when I run out of things to do and notice that certain people haven't updated LJ in ages. I guess some of you prefer to use the journals here, so here I am :). And I still don't have a 'social' page like Myspace or the like. Perhaps another time.
Later all.
