Posted a month agoWhilst I sit here waiting for stuff to dry, I'm thinking.
Now I got a few ocs, should I let there be art swaps?? Of course that's not up to me, if none of you want to do it. Who of you actually can do it? Do I have PTSD from 13 years ago when lying shitbags say "oh yeah I'll have your half done soon" and it never happens, and I still see you posting till this day and I still have my half sitting here in the folder????? Better believe it ..........PhazonF!
I will admit, the "free" part of what I do is mildly amusing as there's no pressure aside from getting it done. A trade, it's like a commission, which I hate and have strict rules on (don't pay me for this crap). A trade means I have to make some effort and I'm a lazy spiteful piece of shit, so......yeah.

Posted a month agoI am moving through the requests at pace, knocking them down like dominoes and pleased with what's happening so far. Starting to feel like I'm catching up to my old self finally and learning more as well.
No sure how many I'll be doing of this batch, some just aren't jiving and I'm not gonna overthink any of them. This is after all, all stuff that I need to be able to do in just a few hours. Unless I like what you're offering, then I'll make it worth your while.
NOW for the demented part of this journal. SOME of YOU are not holding your end the deal. You say you will, then you do not. I check EVERY gallery of EVERY person who contacts me. I got no life.

Ramblings Part 13 (what next, clipstudio rant, discord)

Feeling like im hitting a wall. Clipstudio, for all I heard about from people whom encouraged me to buy it, it sucks. I hate it.
Anything related to typing on it is absolutely infuriating. Brushes are limited (no I shouldn't have to download new ones when photoshop 5 had tons build in). The ruler thing pisses me off when it activates (pen tablet slightly to blame for that, will be taking it that to shooting range sometime this year). Long story short i might snag Procreate or whatever that other program people seem to like.
In short i haven't been enjoying the process of making these pictures. Clipstudio ain't helping. Huge one is I don't feel the same " optimism" I had 10 years ago. But whatever, I'll make it work.
Requests stuff. Once this batch is done, I'm not sure still. If I'm gone, don't be suprised.
Discord will at this moment till I say otherwise, be only there as a backup to FA, for raffle arts to be posted, and not much else. No more personal arts for the foreseeable future will be shared. No perks to be had there at this time. Everyone will be treated equally on FA and discord.

In my short time back I tried to hunt down old artists and such. People I was relatively acquainted with, such chatting on the occasional stream, offering eachother random art swaps, collabs, and just in general people that I or vice versa, could reach out to on a slow day. Worst are the ones I can't even remember their name, nor do I have any art related to them. Saddens me seeing they're either gone, have gone in a very different direction, or just aren't them anymore.
It's been a while though, time moves on and lives do as well. These random chats via streams were back when Join.me was all the rage, talking at least 10 years ago. Maybe I'm just an old fashion guy. Maybe I just miss the feeling of it.

Posted 4 months agoFinally can upload all the raffles. Feeling good on that, EVERY person who entered got an art this time.
Not sure what to do next, might not do a raffle this week as I got some personal art stuff crap to work on. In the meantime, I'll ponder what the theme will be next. New idea is Jojo's Bizarre Adventures style, since the attempt I made on one art this raffle was very fun to do.
Keep in mind, lets push for that 100 watchers' goal. Have a simple but nice gift lined up for that random person who will be chosen from that one. Then we'll aim for 500, if this turn out is good, I'll up that ante on that one!

Rambling Part 6
Posted 5 months agoWell that last raffle was a dud. Good stuff in there, but considering the amount of that theme on this site, I thought there'd be a bigger grab for an art. Oh well.
I might for the next raffle offer up a more NSFW theme, pinups, poses, and such. We'll see.
Working on an oc for myself, so I can do tests on styles and such. My main one isn't really good for anything aside from what I use him for (the $ sign guy).

Man how has it changed, last times I really streamed Join.Me was all the rage. I did twitch for Doom streams but that's been years.
Streams will be a thing I'd like to try, maybe doing a random 30 minute request thing, rapid raffles, and what not. It'll also be one of the only times you can see what I work on outside of the requests. Personal arts, arts I don't post, and IRL projects (not a whole ton of those but heck it's something).

Also might MIGHT make the next raffle catering toward the heavier set ocs. Not massive, not the over the top, but the reasonable. It WILL NOT be regular thing and I'll probably just do 1 or 2. Why? There's no reason for it other than a take down and my own vendetta/grudge/challenge, cause I can do it way betteerrrrrrr.....

Posted 5 months agoBrain's hitting a wall here. Trying to knock down a few more raffle items for a few more people. Work schedule change for the week, will return to normal next week supposedly.
THE BRAIN THING
Starting to slow down here. Ideas are starting to slow down and I'm taking a few days per art,,,,was aiming for 1 or 2 a day. Might take a week or two off to work on some personal art project stuff. Was gonna let some of it out, offer the style, but I don't think it's gonna roll over with people very well. Think of it as fun mystery that you'll maybe get to see on the occasion when I'm feeling generous!
ANYWAYS,,,,not a bad start none the less, getting back into the swing of things fairly well.

Thanks to those who pushed via journals of their own to get the word out, never had that happen before, not sure how many I'll do, but I'll do my damnedest to get as many of your something as I can in the next few days.
Big thing I'm pondering is a discord or telegram. Having a channel or something to let people chime in, suggest ideas, and maybe see the wips and put in some critiques midway so I can work to making better works.
What do you all think? I will admit, I can be chatty, other times I'd be MIA for a while, so on my end, I'd be inconsistent with conversations. Depends though.
Will you take advantage of it or no? Don't want to set things up for no one to use, I learned that ages ago last time I was here.

1'st Ramblings
Posted 5 months agoThis'll be a rare journal from me, as I'm not super "reachable" outside of comments and notes.
Thanks to all who participated in the raffle, great ocs, great ideas, great people, I'll be doing most of them if time allows.
I plan on doing one again sometime next week as I have a vacation that was approved. Might splurge and go all on it, pour everything I know into it, as detailed/realistic/shaded/etc.......but only one can get it, a raffle that actually is a raffle and not my "say raffle but I go nuts" deal. Not shared yet what I can do, don't really want to on what I have done, yet. So grabbing up someone to let me go crazy will be fun,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just to see if I still got it.
We'll see, depends on an auto project if the weather cooperates and if I can bust it out in a day. Worst case, some simpler styles will be handed out, as someone made a suggestion on a style that I would love to attempt. This moment is a great segway intooooo............

I also plan on with raffles, revolving around styles, with the posted "RAFFLE OPEN" art being the style that people will get. Seems fun and a great to flex some creative muscle without flexing my withered and underused brain muscle.
