I've not written anything new in, well...years, quite a few years actually. So, I was thinking of trying to start up again, and was hoping for some ideas to come my way. Throw out species, jobs, locations, whatever you want. From there, I'll try to coalesce these ideas into a coherent story, and if it goes well, maybe I'll do this every month, or so. Depending on how well I manage to do this.

So, I just beat it, got the 'decent' ending I guess. Lots of folks died though. :(

I'm eager for ME4, and, no matter what ending you choose, there is a little movie at the end, that makes it obvious they are going to make a ME4.

Or, at least a continuation of the series, even if you aren't Shepard.

Not a terrible game, a few terrible bugs in it. Like, locking up -constantly- not even while loading, just, walking through an area, and it would freeze up. I wasn't overly impressed with the gay romance option, I wanted Garrus >.> Or at least Vega, and, EDI? Really? I could give a shit about Jokers interactive sex doll. I'd have rather kept Legion and Wrex/Grunt, then get that stupid thing.

Overall, not a bad game, I'm gonna restart from 1, with a vag wielding shepard, just so I can get some Garrus sex in 2 and 3. :D

My computer is screwing up. It will boot up to the 'windows is loading' blue-ish screen. Then, about 5 seconds after I click my little icon[xp] it will reboot with no warning. I think it is the power supply, since it has been making a high pitch whine for a month or so. I cleaned it with a air blower, and then it started rebooting like this. Any suggestions, before I take it to a comp shop on Monday?

I'm running a little one shot campaign at present. For my BF, and some friends, its not D&D 3.5 its Pathfinder, so its technically 3.75. I'm kind of proud of it. :D But, I was wondering if there was anyone else out there who enjoys some tabletop gaming, would be fun to bounce ideas back and forth, incase I actually write up a whole campaign, not just a semi-short dungeon run.

Honestly, I think its bullshit. Why the fuck would I pay for a portfolio or for some site that doesn't post art I want to see? Its cheaper, cause its shit I don't want to look at. So, I'm throwing money in the trashcan, so some overweight guy can sit at home, and smoke weed?

Yeah, I just can't support it. I don't and never have, nor will I ever support drug use, or offer money to people I know that do drugs.

I agree though, that commissions aren't going to pay the bills, but thats why you have real jobs. Drawing is more of a hobby for most artists, unless you are doing a real job of it, which I know a few artists who do, and they still are able to post art every so often. K-9 and CaptainGerbear being two artists who come to mind.

As for piracy, I try not to pirate things, cause I don't believe in it, but, for certain artists, or sites, I will, simply because I don't like them. Why pay $10 a month, when I can just watch the art boards to post whats on the site anyway. Not like I save any of it to my comp anyway, nothing posted there I like anymore.

Another point AD made that I can understand is, you don't commission movies, books, or CDs, do you? Very, very valid point. Yet, at the same time, how many of us have bought a CD and only listened to like, two or three of the songs, cause the other 10 were total crap? It'd be the same with a portfolio. Spending all that money for 1 piece you like, and then 4-5 others that are completely disinteresting to you, seems more of a waste of money, from that standpoint. You could buy a book, and some chapters are good, some are dull and boring. Go to the movies, some scenes are really engaging and keep you riveted, others, you could get up and go to the bathroom and not missed anything remotely relevant. But, you still paid for the whole thing, doesn't make it worth the money you put into it though, does it?

When you commission a pic of your character, you actually have some vested interest, its almost like a part of you, on paper, even if someone else drew it. That one song on the CD, really speaks to you, that one scene in the book, or movie, opens your eyes. But, is it worth the price of the whole, if the rest are tossed to the wayside? This is what I mean, about throwing money away.

I'm sure I'll piss off a few folks, but that is just how I see things. Why pay for something that you don't like/want, when you can just get it for free anyway?

I mean, I own all of Circles on paperback, as well as all of Carpe Diem as well. :) So, I do support artists. Heh, and with the number of commissions I've just got in over the last few months, it should be obvious I'm willing to help out folks who I think deserve it.

So, support artists, buy more commissions, tell them how much you love their art and make sure they know how much you appreciate them.

What makes this even funnier, is my bf has an account with AD, so he's able to check the site and whatnot. I had all of the updates since AD Monthly started, up to July 11 that someone had uploaded on some art board site. He signed up for AD anyway, and then cancelled his account a week or so later.(At least, I think he did) Paying for art you have no interest in, just isn't worth the price tag, no matter how small.

Just don't liken their art to a Ferrari, when its barely at a Mustang level. If you get that, then its funnier then I'd intended. :D

Probably Mario 1, for the NES, I hated that game and I committed Genocide against the Italian species many times, cause Mario just wouldn't survive.

Ramza Beoulve. No other FF game had -nearly- the character depth this man had. Despite being aware of all these plots against him, he still went into the depths of hell to save his only blood sister. Thats fucking epic man.

Suikoden, Not just the game, the whole freaking series. It was phenominal. Really. Collecting 108(the majority of which were playable) characters to wage a war to save the world, and wielding bad ass cosmic magic on top of it? Yes please.
