Shit keeps hitting the fan, hopefully that means good news is in my future.

So,
-I love my new car, but that was a rushed decission I didn't want to get into
-Housing issues at work (not going to talk about it, its long and convoluted BS)
-Been super stressed from both, making it hard to work on my various art, and work projects

I am hoping thats all the bad news for now, and that my summer will finish on an up swing

but on the plus side

-I have been selected as a panelist for FAU My panel will be on Sunday entitled "So you want to work with animals?"
-Sai is up in the air when it comes to delivery/completion date, but I dont care, I am more excited about getting her every day :D
-I am attending FAU ALL WEEKEND :D so Donut Woof/Saber will see you there

My blue bomber of a car doesn't have much time left, and by that I mean the brakes are shot, their are engine issues, and transmission issues. My check engine light is perpetually on telling me about some type of emissions or gas cap malfunction.

So originally I was hoping the beast would make it until winter, giving me ample time to save extra money to put down towards my current dream car....a Jeep <3 (I know everyone advised against it)

but with a sudden confirmation that my brakes are failing, I decided I needed a car sooner rather than later. Now i would have put it off and seen how long I can make my brakes last but with my 1hr+ commute in the morning I just didn't want to risk it any more.


I will weep quietly for my car has been through many things with me, but the change of vehicle will be both a necessary functional change but also a symbolic one.

Things my bomber of a car has survived/has gone through:
-Was my first car(bought it used)
-my first serious break up
-saved my life in 2 accidents
-driver side door doesn't open from the outside, causing me to become a flexible creature with dukes of hazard style
-it is a perpetual decepticon (a magnet on the front, sticker on the back window, and an emblem on the hood)
-its fallen into a ditch
-the paint is bubbling off
-it has been a clown car on many occasions
-it rains inside my car
-has driven to Maine and back multiple times with a door that doesn't truly shut and looks like it would fall off
-it has been frozen shut by a 1/4inch layer of straight ice
-it has seen 2 graduations, high school and college
-I only put 30k miles on it, however I have had it for over 5 years

and on this I bid my Midnight Blue 2002 Pontiac Sunfire coupe, aka Saix goodbye and a much needed retirement.

Now my new car I will hopefully be picking up once it arrives at the dealer (it was in transit while I was shopping around for cars) its a............*drumroll please*

*EDIT STARTS HERE* after much unnecessary hassle from not one but TWO jeep dealerships I gave up on my renegade hunt, and took the advice of my fiancé and mom, and test drove some different cars.

I found a car that won't kill my bank and in 5 years I can use it as a trade in for a better current jeep renegade (if thats still what I want) and its current and is a nice vehicle to drive so, *drumroll again*

I am the proud owner of a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ turbo (hatchback)

This vehicle will better suit my current lifestyle:
-#1 I can fit multiple fursuit bins.......oh I mean I can store and transport things easier
-my fiancé and I can finally move shit around with out needing to borrow my parents SUV
- I can fit a bike with out being a tetris master seats fold down nicely but it might still take some tetris skills
-OMG AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!!! and heated seats >:D
-a nice radio :D no more endless pile of cds, A REALLY NICE radio, XM and usb/auxiliary connectivity
- OMG POWER WINDOWS!!! I no longer have to be a contortionist on the highway/at random stop lights to roll up the windows of my car when I leave them open
- I can use my driver side door :D
-this century technology (this is a technophile dream car) XM radio, touchscreen display, usb, auxiliary, bluetooth to smartphone connections, what looks like a thousand knobs on the steering wheel
-Automatic start, ha take that winter coldness my car will be warm without needing to go outside
-digital air pressure readings and better gas milage <3
- oh and on star is kinda cool
-btw I am a mobile 4g lte hotspot

I now need new car emblems and logos to decorate, the color is the BRIGHT AS HECK RED

need to get me a toofy logo for this one and a phi paw (already started planning out this beasts logos)

2015 Jeep Renegade latitude FWD automatic! I had to use more of my savings then I wanted but that just means the extra I make will go back into my savings.

Poor  tirakwolf has taken quite a beating, he's been with me for a year and he was already a couple years old before I got him.

I contacted one of the original makers about potentially doing a refurb but she suggested just getting a new head in the future so thats the long term plan, but for now I need to keep tirak running until I receive Sai from sharpe19 (I don't have a deadline so I may still be using Tirak for FAU and Furpoc)

My issues with tirak include:
-buckram and eye vision adjustment
-lining needs to be re a fixed(its falling off in places)
-head needs foam added in places to better fit my head
-I would like a zipper installed for better/easier time putting on
-cowl needs lengthening its too short therefore my neck and hair tend to show easily.

Can anyone recommend any good refurbishers/makers that are open for such a project?

In sum I had a BLAST! I saw all of my con buddies that I hadn't seen in awhile and even met new ones!


I can agree, even though I have never attended anthrocon before that this con felt very different compared to my previous conventions. For the amount of people there it felt big and empty.

I spent most of my time at the convention center and I still can't believe I never saw some of the fursuiters that were there, however I did see a lot of the same suiters over and over.

I had my WORST fursuit moment ever: This still makes me feel extremely awkward, so I was suiting as donut woof (aka :tirakwolflink:) and some girl(teen/adult could not see) ran up and jumped on me from the side and started humping me. Then my handler (my fiancé said jokingly as a warning "hey only I am allowed to do that" she then ran over and jumped onto him wrapped her legs around him and started humping him, he pushed her off him and she ran off. This was in the middle of the convention floor, I have never wanted to unsuit so fast in my entire life, I was almost livid,
We ran and found the first con ops person we could find (ended up being in the headless lounge cause I wanted to be as far away as possible from that psycho) The person was one of the con chairs. Besides feeling absolutely violated all I could think was what if I was a minor? or if this was my first con? or what if I had bad social anxiety? that person would have ruined any chances of me WANTING to come back.

I might have to retire soon, his head needs major repairs and possibly a refurbishing in the future.

HOWEVER on a more positive note, I have convince/corrupted my hubby into becoming a fursuiter MAUHAHAHA
He always tells me nah I dont think I could do/want to then randomly he was like can I put on the head and BAM instant fursuiter. We are talking about a new creation project were we both will have matching suits: Project Circuit-Breaker

We have also been discussing his Rottie/coydog suit so maybe sometime he will be officially one of the fluff butts!

I have been in a tough place and moment in life the last week or so. I feel disconnected from my friends and even my loved one. Its not their fault either, I travel for work and that puts me far away, and my other job keeps me busy when everyone is free.... So I guess in a way I am lonely?

I really do love the fur community, but I am not a big internet chat person and I haven't been in to chat/forum style RP(not my thing) I dont have time for much gaming either and I have been at a loss of motivation to draw...

I feel like I am kinda stuck, but I love my job and what I do, but when I am not at work I sink back into a puddle of aloneness and self judgement.

I feel like I am also stuck at an age gap where unless you are working with the people its hard to make/find NEW friends, I am not saying I dont like my old friends, its just I am so far away from them, that its not fair. The people I work with is a small group and most are in very different walks of life, I am pretty much the baby.

I work an hour and 15 mins away from my home, so I dont want to drive hang and drive back for work the next day.

I just am not sure what I am doing and am very lost.... sorry for the long emotion ramble/rant

what do I do?
My work week: I work (Mon-Fri) as an Animal educator working with mostly birds of prey at a Wildlife Refuge. On Saturdays I work Retail at an art/hobby store. Sundays I try to draw, lol. this is my life, occasionally I get a day off here and there, but lets be real, I spend most of that day preparing for the next.

btw if you want to work with animals and you don't want to be a vet be prepared for poor fur life, lol.

I had a blast, and my first real con was a success! (take two on posting this journal tried posting it earlier and it failed)


Met some awesome people, Thank you  catofmount  zarkey  blt_sandwich  neontex and everyone else(too many to tag in this journal) I met for making my con experience a positive one.

Con Highlights: Ebola water, FIREBALL, #everyoneknowsblix , Hyena bedtime stories, cover your ears, aids water, bamboo shooters, Partialing, donuts, floor pizza

On sunday I adorned the giant donut and became the almighty donut woof! (which I became known at the con as donut) I made a lot of people laugh and smile by my chirping and giving lots of nuzzle hugs.

I had a couple people comment on my pumpkin badge, so I guess next year I will be open for pumpkin and bat badges.

Updates:

I finally have free time again, working two jobs had me so exhausted after each day and that made it hard for me to work on commissions and art.

I attended FA:U on Sunday and unveiled Tirak as a full partial  syfka did amazing work on his feet, arms, and paws :)
If anyone has any videos or photos of him I would greatly appreciate them!

❖ The commissioner may upload the work done for you to your site as long as it is credited and linked back to any of my galleries.
❖ Once a piece is commissioned, you may use it for any personal use that you please, including but not limited to icons, signatures, layouts, wallpapers, themes and personal site display.

You retain the rights to the IP.
You may not claim the work to be your own or set it up for redistribution. You may not use it for any external projects, commercial or non-commercial. If you are looking for something to redistribute, use for your project(s), as an ad, sell or show at conventions etc., speak to me for information on royalty fees.

If you are not sure whether your request counts as personal, feel free to ask me about its intended use.

PROCEDURE


❖ After payment is received: I sketch, color and paint depending on your commission type.

❖ Sketches do not always have an approval stage. You may request minor tweaks if I missed any distinguishing features present in your reference. If you would like sketch approval please let me know. However sketch will be shown to the commissioner regardless.


❖ Once inked and line work completed I cannot and will not make changes unless change is easy and doable. If you would like an image after inking let me know.


❖ I will always distribute a "color test" to fix any color errors of your character! Please, let me know if I have made any mistakes. Anything that needs to be fixed on "my mistake", on your reference(s) and I missed it, will always be fixed for free.


❖ I have the right to reject or turn down any concept that I do not feel comfortable drawing.
