arts rambelings and general oddness...
Posted 16 years agodiscovered that useing PS in a more compleat fashion i can manage a fairly complicated color workup in abut 3-4 hours.*now sqeasing 3-4 hours out of my current 60 hour work week is still a challenge but that average makes getting work colored finished and pretty possible now.
As evidenced by the 3 color peices i posted last week one of them was half done but still...

now a mellow hangout/artgallery built with a steampunk asthetic we are looking for artist willing to show thier work in sl
all i need from you is a bit of text from you describeing themselfs and thier art and where to buy/commision whatever from them and permission to hang one of your peices in the club. i will also be changing the displays from artist on occasion so if you feel that you have a great peice you would like to showcase we can change it easyly. the work has to be your original art. and we are not looking for *yiffy* art keep it relativly clean.
we also reserve the right to remove or replace any art at any time for any reason *but in general im not a ass about this stuff.
i will personally be covering teh cost of uploads of your images however will happyly accept donations towards it.
in addition if you are in second life your peice can be submitted for the art contest which will yield a L$ prize of some variable amount. that parts being worked on still...

someday ill get that kitchen straitened out. my fabrik sofftener is wayy tooo liquid
eddi is a strange little lizzard. i am not inebriated im mearly feeling odd.
control of chaos is a matter of mind over chao. something most of us do everyday
infacts if we did not impose our will on the natural *chaotic* state of things our world would be much more... well... random and wild
childern **all** of them are implements of entropy.
as are animals in a ordered enviroment (if you dont belive me observe a house cat left to his/her own devices in a home for say a week)
as we grow more mature we learn to order the chaos of our minds and thusly become civilized. but methinks sometimes we loose a lot in doing this as well *mind you i feel strongly in the concepts of civl duty and personal responsability as well as accountabilty for our own actions.*
creativity is a important part of our education fnord that society cares not to teach
this may be because the best method of teaching creativity is to allow a child (or adult) to make something with out a plan or a goal. and that just cant be allowed ... theres no way to grade that for our funding tracking.FNORD
some day people will realize the truth fnord in the statement "there are no governeors anywhere."
and that "what is not allowed is forbidden" i figured this out (fer me) and it causes me no end of giggles and problems

Posted 16 years agohad a great time most of the furrs where really great freindly people and i think i may have met a few new freinds (since i got to this side of teh country i need freinds)
i got some great advice from some fantastic artist o,0 i was overwelmed by some of the skills.... goddess!
and hopefully that advice will show in my newer work :D
there was some really sureall moments and i genearally appreciate sureall a lot
and i can honestly say that dispite the handfull of downs it was a great time and im looking forward to nextyears show!

something resembleing a revelation ...
Posted 16 years agoi came to far PA for several reasons .
one was to break the terrible circle that had intraped two of my closest freinds and my self.
reason secondus was to try to figure out who i am.
reason thirdly was to help a freind that needed help *still does*
forthly i hoped that this move would help me to relive financial pressures i was feeling.
pentagonally i wished for a new life a new me a new ... well something
the circle is broken not neatly nor is it with out pain. but things will never be what they where before my exodus.
i have not figured out who i am but i am figureing out some of what i am.
theres a fair amount of self loathing that i now have to deal with before i can become whole again. i am terrified of commitment, i am afraid to allow anybody in really in.... i cant trust anouther sufficently to allow them into myself. there is no love for me untill i sort this out.
i am so far doing a good job of convincing my self i am helping my freind and her family.
thou it is just as likely im doing irrepairable harm....
financial pressures will never cease for me unless i become a whole person and cease being a cabbage.
new ... life. heh.... ive irrepairably damaged one persons life already and if i dont sort me out soon i will damage more in short order. i dont deserve a new life i deserve the fate karma has offered me.

it has come to my attention that their is an popular misunderstanding as to what
"Tolerance" means.
to Tolerate something is to (in my world) not hate the person or persons that are doing or liveing the lifestyle that you disagree with. or at least to not act upon that disapproval (its their life and thier risk not yours)
to Tolerate is not to like or approve of somebody’s desicions for the sole sake of "being Tolerant" each and every person is allowed an disenting opinion.other wise thats just being PC which is an very pink thing to do...
there is an diffrence between tolerance and politeness as well, being polite is an basic societal nessecity. one that is increasingly lost. but it is dam hard to be polite if you are intolerant and this is an fine way to tell if somebody is an jackass :)

if the world you live in is perceved by the mind in your head, the act of perception is the sum total of your reality.
if you think it sucks IT DOES! if you look at the lemons your handed over and over and try to see the good then its not so bad. (I offten fall into this self same trap of "why me?")
everybody has hardships everyones position in life is relative to everyone elses
their reality construct interfers with your own.
there is no point there is only the fact that all situations are what you can manage to make of them.
courtesy, graciousness, humility, confidence, and self acertiveness are all nessary traits for a polite society. the trick thou is balanceing and knowing when to do what. as Miyamoto Musashi said its all in the timeing.
the reason (i am learning,) that sailors are hard people is that social traits mean nothing to the sea. the only traits are competance, hard work, and doing what must be done. and if a person embodys those things they will get on well enough on a ship. be it a 5 ton yacht or a 1000 ton sailing warship. modern seamanship is a very diffrent creature and i decline to speak on it...

light and truth reveils, most of my freinds where i came from where only aquaintences, many here prefer to maintain thier distance. there is little that i would call community here. and my lack of resources prevent me from getting out much anyway.
things that are not ment i understand fear of a stranger from elsewhere i also understand.
but to be ignored? its incomprehendable when i have done nothing wrong. i spent years studying graciousness and art and love I reconize this is not a judgement of myself just a matter of changing circumstance.

i'm somewhere between memphis and nashville. at a hotel 6 "the light was NOT on"
in the morning im gonna pop up and go visit a freind from SL. then carry on with my drive im prolly gonna end up spending 2 more nights in stupid motels...
this one smells funny... mostly stale. *some patchuli should fix that! =^v^=
i will upload to scraps some of my road pics i have taken here in a bit
they preemmently feature a teddy bear named mr. bear he has been part of my famliy for about 10 years or so now. and has gone on many a roadtrip so when he heard of this journy he vollenteered to come along!

firstlys i will go to pa and take a job that was offered to me
i can t really go into details here but it is a great offer and im looking forward to it
secondlys i will save money up to A make me something resembleing a coushion incase anything else goes wrong
and B i will be buying plane tickets to houston as well as los vegas with some regularity and who knows were else.
so thats the long and short of it
i plan ontaking advantage of the time i have free to meditate improve my phsycial condition perform arts ( my paintings are rather physical in nature) and otherwise relearn who and what i am.
cause dispite haveing known at one point the answer to that question i seem to have forgoten some how.

still not knowing what i am gonna do or how im gonna do it

my lappy wont run it very well.... and im not supposed to use the big compy for it anymore (not my computer you see, it's hers)
im working on getting some of the details sorted
like if i still have a car if i can still live here and if i have to eat ramen for the next while.

And the best part of this joke is i brought it on my self.

oks journal time again club Discord ART contest!!!
Posted 16 years agobirthday passed recently. feeling sorta strange about that...
i'm really and trully middle aged now... *blink blink*
Club Discord is doing pretty well we have good nights almost anynight we have a dj playing... but i want to get our village shopping center more attention (and vendors)
i am planing to run a art contest in the club soon just need to pop by xstreet and pick up the scriptys for it. and write the rules... not to much rules. you'll see.
art wise i have been drawing 2-5 sketches a day while at work. during lunch and breaks i think im really starting to speed up, now if i could only turn that into accuratcy.
have been staying busy with commissions for photoshop finished peices.
yay!
music wise i have been broadcasting with ragingdragon.org for the past month and a half now.
thursday nights go to that website and click listen and then select your music player you wantta use!
everyweek is diffrent *mainly cause i like variety too!

Posted 16 years agowell between a new job that is something like 12 hours a day, running a *increasingly popular club in second life, and attempting to popularize our mobile DJ service. i have not had much time to draw except at work. that being said i will prolly go ahead and scan some of my sketches and post them shortly.

the sound of the diffrent sides of my head. its no wonder i have not had a chance to draw with all that shouting going on with myself.
anyway i have a couple of new peices rolling about in my cranium and some progress on the comic *must DRAW!!!** just give up on being a great artist and TELL TEH FREAKIN STORY!!*** sigh.
between that real life business and building a nightclub.

but i have achived the second (and the most difficult) step of starting a Mobile DJ business.
A PA system and light rig...

between this the laptop to runn it all off of ... i have a pretty substancial investment/debt built.
and am wishing for anoughter 500 or 600 $ to get more lights, fogger, a pavilion, and a good software controler for mixing in a more "natural" manner

sorry about it, lotta back story...
so I'm sitting at a table at our weekly coffee shop hang out with some freinds I have known for years. my buddy cougar is sittin across from me.
and im drawing in my sketch book some anthro art (recently posted one of those very peices... here) footnote; i have been drawing anthros at the coffee shop for 4 months now and nobody made a guess.... o.0
the topic is gameing conventions and why anybody would be dumb enough to run a con one week before a well known (thou small) show, called owl con.
and the topic came up to the guest list of the new show and why it was not very good.
and my buddy cougar mentions that he was invited to this startup show as a panelist. and the panel was to be titled "freakys, furrys, and fairys"
Cougar declined as he could not get any confermation as to what this panel was to really be about.
and sumbody asks .. naturally .. so which are you Cougar?
"well i'm a Furry of course"
and it starts.
"well i seen that episode of CSI."
"I just don't get it."
blah blah blah....
I look at my freind Dave and say "that word 'furry' covers a lot of things. and its not at all just what you seen on bloody CSI...."
I just got my closest family to shutup.... and now this.
I think i need new freinds.. n.n
not at all Cougar's fault. he had no intention to drag me outta the dog house so to speak... but Dave is a smart fella this group loves to gossip... So next week at coffee I am certain i have a lot of... defending myself and the community, to do.

and i giggle at that..
but sometimes the giggeling is dark and morbid.
i was raised to belive that harmony in the home was paramount to a healthy life.
between the lionesses bickering over money. and takeing turns picking at me,
the dog playing with the cat untill the cat gets mad and claws the dog (which starts a row of yelling, and seprating the animals cause "that cat is mean")
the cat not haveing enough sense to avoid the dog before it gets to be too much.

the broke refregerator thats sitting in my kitchen (long pointless story thou this is prolly the easyest thing for me to fix...)
at the moment im really sick of it.
but the only open door is a really terrifying one for me.
and would destroy 10 years of love, commitments, promises, and freindships.
so i will deal and hopefully things calm down soon.
really is it anywonder that i retreat into SL when possible?
