Some updates, good and bad
General | Posted a week agoSo, hello everyone. Been a bit since I've been around, let alone posted art heh.......
TL;DR? I just, am still burnt out and Don't Enjoy Art as much. I've been easing back into it with personal art and memes alongside working on comms but it doesn't feel GOOD enough so I get frustrated fast. But anyways. I digress. Commissions remain CLOSED, as I want to try to get my queue done this month ENTIRELY for everyone. How will I do this? Well. Proceed reading
Due to declining physical health I'd rather not get into, I lost my job. It was discussed with the work to have me resign instead of be fired to make it look better on resume/have them able to be a proper reference so I'm ETERNALLY grateful for that but also this is a huge fucking hit to me when I really need the income to help my household which has been patiently waiting on me to be able to offer more money for bills/rent and I kind of feel useless. I've also been fighting mental health crisis after crisis and I'm admittedly struggling a lot. HOWEVER please note, my living situation? Is still a delight. I love my partner, I love my roommates, I enjoy myself. I'm just STILL recovering from some VERY deep wounds from last relationship/situation. But I /am/ healing. I'm also trying a new medication which right now isn't ideal but I'm /trying/ because that's step one
I also lost a very close friend for a stupid fucking reason, and proceeded to delete myself from a LOT of media/left almost all discord servers and removed most ppl from my life. This at first stung, because of my shrunken spaces but now... I feel like I can breath. I feel less judged. Less sui**dal. It's...... nice
Also note about Patreon: I have PAUSED BILLING right now, as I need to catch up on current headshots then I am going to contemplate whether or not I wish to even keep it up. I might as an archieve/resource for speedpaints and process posts, but not add anything new as it just. It hurts, putting time in making them and having 98% of them not getting a /single view/. I'd rather set up a cute little Ko-fi front for donations if people want to support me, maybe offer little discount rewards for ko-fi members, but not push patreon any longer. I'm unsure, thoughts appreciated
Regardless..... I'm gonna try H A R D to be more present from here on out. I'm cramming paperwork, resume buffering, ect, today so tonight into tomorrow I can do patreon headshots, then sketch comms and get them sent out as proof of progress to clients. If I owe you something and I forgot/it isn't on trello by TOMORROW EVENING, please REACH OUT and don't be shy about it. I will trust word of mouth if you say I owe you something as my memory isn't /that/ bad, and I just wanna ensure nobody is forgotten or left behind!!!!!!!!!!

After many years...

In real life right now, I can safely say I have settled into life with and their partners and I FINALLY have acquired...... A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!
I work in the meat department of a nicer grocery store, I did training on the PC today and tomorrow is my first day.
Because of this, I have less time for commissions and work than before, and am a bit stretched thin between life, work, and art. So I am being wise and closing comms for now so I can focus on what needs done, current queue, and maybe drawing some nice things for me for the first time in a little bit. I'm excited for the change and looking forwards to what'll happen from here on out

General | Posted 6 months agoSo, I've been pondering. Now, I finally have my car in the state I am residing in with partner so I am officially going to be REALLY aggressive with job hunting. When this happens, and I eventually /do/ get a job irl, I will be TEMPORARILY CLOSING COMMISSIONS in order to complete backlog with proper effort/no rushing, and also be more lax and able to wean into working. General | Posted 8 months agoI HAVE SAFELY AND SECURELY MOVED THANKS TO THE HARD WORK OF ME, PARTNER, AND PARTNERS' PARTNERS (MY NEW FRIENDS!)
Thank you all for supporting me through that tumultuous time and being patient with me. I have begun settling in for real past few days, and my room is a WIP but feeling more proper. ALL my pets made it through the move, though I might rehome a few to give myself less to worry about. I'm also excited and eager for the job hunt. All in all, good energy and I am so thankful and don't think I'll ever be able to scream enough how much my partner and their polycule has done for me. I'm not a part of it too, which just feels surreal in a positive, healthy way.
But I don't wanna go into too much detail, beyond this. I have taken down my GoFundMe as now that I am settled and no longer in an emergency state, I do not want to accept donations any longer. I will be cracking down on art queue and trying to get that moving full speed ahead, so if you have ANY questions, check trello and if you are not on there bark at me and if you are but are unsure, hit me up!

Going forwards into 2025!
General | Posted 11 months agoWhat a fucking end to 2024 and start to 2025. Things keep going so fucking wrong and also so fucking right and it's very hard to keep my thoughts in a proper organized line and not just explode
Have some solid goals for 2025, and I am /really/ pushing to move out ASAP but saving/donations are slow and right now I'm examining potentially just getting a single room and letting roommate temporarily keep my cat Malik to save me the 3x rent down payment on a place
Been really in my own head since the start of the new year, been struggling socially, been anxious. But also, finding hope and actual enjoyment in things
Anyways
In actual plans going forwards: I will be changing how I monetize my art! I will be moving all NSFW to SubscribeStar slowly, and deleting NSFW off of my Patreon. Just for safeguarding as it's rules tighten and I don't want furry yiff to get me busted
Patreon will remain as SFW! I've also decided as a goal to make a step-by-step process of ONE FULL PERSONAL DRAWING every month public, both to boost my own confidence and gallery and also give a little snippet of what's inside my patreon paywall !
This all said, I'm gonna be a bit slow for getting things caught up as I am also pet sitting for myself AND someone 25 mins away so I'm driving. A lot. And sleeping irregularly as I also want to clean my ENTIRE APARTMENT before my ex/roommate comes home so I can dodge confrontation and also pack some more...
