it may go without saying if you're anything like me, but legislation like this is always a smokescreen to hurt queer people in some way. many of these republicans would see two people of the same gender kissing in public as a vile, perverted act. it's vital to many of your safety that a law like this not pass

Israeli forces are likely getting ready to gear up their ongoing genocide on the Palestinian people, shielding the eyes of the rest of the world from their atrocities

Palestinians need all the help they can get right now. there are lots of charities you could personally be donating to, but if you're a stingy asshole like myself who can't justify spending money unless you get something in return, here's a bundle with a ton of indie games you can get for $10, while supporting medical aid for Palestinians, who will be on the ground getting health care to people in dire need of it.

this is mainly a test to see how my internet connection and PC can handle it, but I hope we can have fun along the way

it's not something I want to get into detail about publicly, but a few days ago something really awful happened, and on top of everything else that's been happening to me, it's left me feeling pretty despondent

but privately, my friends have been very supportive and understanding of me. and publicly, that short story I posted seems to be pretty well liked. I've even seen some people faving it who don't seem to read much of this site's writing otherwise. it's silly, given it's just some horny fluff, but even something small like that makes me feel valued, like I'm doing something right

anyone who looks at my art as a whole probably can tell that the bulk of my inspiration comes from idealism and hope. despite the awful world we find ourselves in, I want the work I create to be a spot of comfort and happiness, no matter how small

maybe I shouldn't indulge so much in escapist fantasy. every day I feel more despair welling up inside of me, and I feel like my coping mechanism does little more than box me in. but I see that my work is valued, and it keeps me a little hopeful that I matter in some way. I know as unhealthy as it can be if it's all we do, we all need a break from the bad things in our life every once in a while

so thank you, for making me feel valued and cared for. and I hope that someone in your life helps you feel the same, whether you just had a bad day, or you're having the worst few years of your life

that work was done quickly and with very little editing. I don't think it's representative of the quality of work I'd be capable of if I really put more thought into it.

nonetheless, did you find it enjoyable? I'm thinking I might pivot more toward writing for the time being, since my exciting mystery illness makes it difficult to sit up for the long periods of time required for me to finish detailed drawings, but I can write easily even when laying down. but I also want to make sure I'm not bombarding you guys with boring crap you don't care about.

also, just general comments and critique on my writing is welcome here, if I did anything obviously bad. I know my pacing and sense of place need a bit of work, for one

every other unwilling wg story uses that as a plot element but they always use some fantastical fake shit

I've seen so many opinions both that the policy didn't go far enough, and also that it's ludicrously paternalistic, and quite a bit in between

what's really notable to me is the allowance for non-sexual fetish art still being fine. something I saw being said is that at the end of the day, with FA being an independent website now, if it wants any monetization it needs to play by the rules of its payment partners, and that all is typically the line of what's deemed acceptable. mainly because defining what is and isn't objectively horny is a pretty difficult thing to define in a legal sense, and I imagine would be a pretty big onus to put on moderators as well

I'm the sort of person who thinks it's naive to always assume good faith, but I do think as long as PayPal and other comparable payment processors run the game, and as long as things like cryptocurrency remain terrible and unviable as usable money, a lot of sites that want to have as flexible rules as possible are just gonna start to look like this. FA's fatal flaw is, more than anything in this case, not being run by lawyers and PR professionals who would know how to sugarcoat this better

anyway, I think if the rules of a website are either actively harmful to you, or cultivate a community that you're not happy with, you're not obligated to stay at all. but the pickier you are about it, the more difficult it's gonna be to find spaces that you can call home unless you build them yourself. so until everyone has learned how to make a website and we've all gotten used to webrings and forums again, I think sometimes we just have to deal

anyway back to being miserably sick

I wanted to apologize to all commissioners who are waiting on me and see the influx of art I've been putting. I had been running through my queue pretty rapidly for a few weeks, but I suddenly got sick with something that's seriously affecting my ability to get out of bed for longer than a couple hours a day, let alone sit down and focus on drawing. I've been to the ER twice now about concerning symptoms, but they can't pinpoint the problem, and I'm trying to get an appointment with my doctor as soon as possible

as things are, I have no way of shrinking my queue, so I can't in good conscience accept more commissions at this time. but unfortunately I am poor and this is my only income, so the bit of money I have in checking is all I have right now, and I still have one more month of rent to pay before I move somewhere I can afford easier. if you're able, I would really appreciate a donation to my ko-fi while I sort things out

hi all, how ya doing

so I didn't really mention it here, but I've been dealing with PC trouble since like, early last month? and as of a few days ago I just can't use my computer at all. I sent my motherboard (which I think is the main issue) off to msi for repairs, and now I'm just waiting for them to send it back to troubleshoot further

I'm still doing pencil drawings (keep an eye out for some commission slots, I might need to take some more), but until I can properly edit them, I don't feel comfortable posting them here. plus, it's just way too much work to keep track of uploading everywhere without something like postybirb. so basically, you won't be seeing much from me for a while longer

as always, if you wanna be totally on top of everything I'm drawing, I recommend following my Twitter, or my telegram channel if you think I'm annoying when I open my mouth (I do too, it's okay). all my pencil stuff will go there for now, though some might be a little higher quality by the time I upload them here
