Posted 11 years agoThere are some things that I don't understand about fur anatomy. I know I'm not an expert on this subject but there's still things that make me go ??? Like, digitigrade legs on bipedal subjects. Those types of legs aren't supposed to be for bipedal movement, they help push back for quadrupeds, and the feet are entirely too small to help balance the body. You'll just end up with something wobbling around because it doesn't work. Another thing are tails and tail positions. Tails could go as an explanation for digitigrade legs as a counter balance, but for that you must a stiffer tail that points directly down. Smaller cat/dog tails become pointless at the advent of bipedalism. They would get in the way and just be a mass of useless weight. BUt that's not my biggest problem, what really gets me is the connection of the tail to the spine. So many artist put the tail perpendicular to the spine and it's just ???????? why???? the tail is part of the spine, it should move downward, over the buttocks and come to an end. This applies to the thicker kind and more cat/dog-like tails, and as for the thicker tails, they shouldn't start at the top of the butt, but should be part of the cheeks because iof they are not, the anatomy won't work and that would be too much mass in the back. NOw to a different subject that really make me cringe. When porn appears on my notifications or when I see some on the front page, the whoole sheath-thing on males has no advantage what-so ever. It's the thing where the penis is connected to the pubic region, why??? It's not at all helpful for urination, they'll just end up peeing all over themselves. And it's not at all good for reproduction, their dick is pointed up, I guess it could work theoretically, but still ???? That type of male anatomy only belongs on quadrupeds 'cause at that angle it works. IDk I've just been thinkg a lot lately a lot of issues have arise. NOw I could be completely wrong about all of this and what does it really matter? Thjei not real anyways and I must admt that I've done some stuff like that. Just ignor eme

Posted 11 years agotomorrow's derby i hate it all and i really don't feel like doing anymore of those story journals, it's just going to go on and on and there's really no point
finally
Posted 11 years agoI'm really happy because the last painting finished one of my art portfolios required for school. The other portfolio was already finished and I was stuck on what to do for the last of my concentration folio. Now, until the beginning of June, I can do whatever I want in class. Gonna try silkscreen prints and I'm going to take a few classes on anatomy 'cause I really suck at it. Summer is going to be really interesting and fun since I'm going to do a few collabs ^ ^

Posted 11 years agoBaroque
Posted 11 years agoThe use of intense lighting and use of figure to portray dramatic scenes full of movement and strong emotion.
The Baroque period is probably my favorite movement in all of the history of art movements. The importance of the figure and the colors, OH THE COLORS, are just breath taking to me. Baroque puts an emphasis on the human body and how it moves, something that I really strive to achieve and emulate. You can show so much emotion just on the positions of the arms and legs, and even the minute details of the position of the fingers. It's a feeling I cannot truly describe. The colors, THE COLORS OH MY GOD, THE EARTH TONES, THE ORANGE AND YELLOW RAYS OF LIGHT AS THEY SHOW THE SILHOUETTE OF SOME EUROPEAN ROYAL, LKNFLASDKFLASDKN;;;!!!
During its time, after the Italian Renaissance, it and the Rococo movement where the dominating styles, and while I very do much like Rococo architecture and design, Baroque will always stand out. I'm sad to see that not many people are aware of the various movements occurring in the art world after the Italian Renaissance. People tend to lump it all together and jump from that, to Impressionism (another subject, for a future journal)
Some very great artists from this time:
.Caravaggio
.Rembrandt van Rijn
.Anthony van Dyck
.the Sculptor, Gian Brenini
Some artists, not from that time period, but use Baroque styles (and are very good):
.the later works of Francisco Goya
.Odd Nerdrum
.and the big B-Man himself, *jumps in the air, does a double back-flip, lands on the ground and dramatically points* Beksinski
**Look up all of these artists, they've all inspired me, and I hope they inspire y'all**

She is soon gong to be forcefully married to someone, and she is trying to get out of it and live with her partner here in the US. The full details of her situation and the donation pool are here: http://megaru.tumblr.com/post/81528.....rous-situation

Question for my watchers
Posted 11 years agoWhy do you watch me?
hey guys
Posted 11 years agoI'm kinda bored right now, plus the fact that I've pretty much been this nonexistent entity here and other than the fact that you guys know I like art and painting, there's not much more info about me. I feel like I haven't opened up as much as I wished (mostly due to shyness and awkwardness). So I was just gonna leave this journal here if you want to ask me questionsf.
Beksinski
Posted 11 years agoSorry, this is kinda weird journal, but this is mainly to show off his work since the 24th is his birthday, and I pretty much worship the ground he stood on. Zdzislaw Beksinski was an AMAZING artist who does not get as much credit as he deserves. For those who don't know who he was, he was a Polish surrealist that lived a very hard and sad life all while painting such beautiful paintings that seem dark and hellish, but really aren't and are some of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
You can visit these sites that contain a good chunk of his work:
http://www.beksinski.pl/
http://beksinski.dmochowskigallery......ast.php?lang=e
http://zdzislaw-beksinski.blogspot......ings_7738.html
I really love his work, not just for the subject matter and design, but for it's archaicness and especially the colors. I could go on all day about the colors that he uses, especially during his semi-abstract period. It's a feeling that I cannot really describe and one of the most amazing things ever.
If you do end up looking at some of the sites, I suggest listening to some classical or lucid music to best fit the feeling.
Again, I do apologize for the odd journal, sorry

Posted 11 years agoThe weather calmed down and I re-supplied in white paint because white paint is the only paint that matters. I'll try and paint more tonight. That is all.

Posted 12 years agoI'm really sad to see a lot of the people that I like, move from here to Weasyl. I know that what happened to cause this exodus was horrible, but it just seems odd to leave a whole site from the actions of a few individuals.
