Story commissions
Posted 13 years agoHas anyone ever had someone write a story for them? If so, how much of plot and characters do you give? I keep thinking about writing a story or two but I’m too lazy, and really, not that good.
Cliché Fantasies
Posted 13 years agoI feel like sometimes I have terribly cliché fantasies and don’t have ton to contribute because of it.
But, of course, they really are only common among furries. Wait, not just furries, but furries who are into D/s. Wait, not just furries into D/s, but furries into transformation, or mind control, or other things. Maybe it’s not so common. 15 years ago I wouldn’t have known anyone else like me existed...

Rule Number Two
Posted 13 years agoRule Number Two is what prevents me from writing crappy porn and doing more role-playing on Taps.
For those who don’t know, rule number two is ‘Always Masturbate Before Making Important Decisions.’

Furries in the Wild...
Posted 14 years agoThere is just no appropriate way to go up to someone and accuse them of being a furry, if you're not sure. It's just embarrassing for both you and them, regardless of the answer.
Transformation stories...
Posted 14 years agoWhat percentage are named 'A Time for Change' or variation thereof? :)
I just realized...
Posted 15 years agoI first started MUCKing and doing furry stuff eleven and a half years ago. Wow.
You know you are a furry when...
Posted 15 years agoYou have dreams about browsing FA.
Posting Stories
Posted 15 years agoSo, every once in a while I think about writing something and posting it. I mean, I know no one will read it, no one even reads the good authors on FA. But what concerns me is how writing about what I'm into would 'out' me. Right now, I'm just a watcher, so no one can think what I'm into is weird and unfriend me because of it.
Well, unless they went through my favorites I guess.
I wonder how artists and others deal with that. I think about what happened to poor Java...

Written Desc
Posted 16 years agoYes, I'm still alive. Even though I'm hardly around anymore. Working. :P I wanted to archive Terima's written description. So, here it is:
Just under six feet tall, this anthropomorphic canine defies most of the imagery commonly associated with the word 'poodle;' he is neither feminine nor haughty, but wiry and masculine (though often somewhat withdrawn). Thick, inch-long black curls of fur covers his thin, agile body. Terima has shorn his long, straight muzzle; the remaining fur reminiscent of fine velvet. When he smiles, he displays a mouth full of sharp, pointed, white teeth that contrast markedly with the black of the rest of his form. His eyes are very dark as well, with only a hint of white in the oval orbs. A nest of tight black curls covers the top of his head. His ears, shaved like his muzzle, hang down from the side of his head, just below his topknot. His body is thin and angular, but wiry, and he is obviously agile in his movements. His arms, though fur-covered, are mostly human-like and end in shaved hands. Each of his four fingers and opposable thumb end in a small black claw/nail.
Currently, he wears a black leather vest over his chest and a pair of well-worn black jeans over his bottom half. Regardless of the weather, he wears a long, black coat--in the Australian Outback style. When he goes outside, a black fedora sits atop Terima's head. His legs are digitigrade and end in a pair of bare, shaved paws. From a hole in the
rear of his jeans emerges a slightly curled foot-long tail, held up in place. His tail is shaved halfway up, the end covered in a pompon of his curly fur.

Back again...
Posted 17 years agoWell, after being out of town for most of the past month, I'm back again. Once more I had to nuke a bunch of journals, which I don't like to do.
So, I will try to pick up again and read some.

Pennsylvania Furs?
Posted 17 years agoRandom question. Anyone who watches me happen to live in or near central PA? I'm going to be there all next week for work, and might want to hang out or something.
Just curious :)

Posted 17 years agoWell, I have gotten some sad news today that my dog Luc has stomach cancer. I kind of knew that it was coming, based on his symptoms, but, still, it sucks to hear that the biopsy came back malignant. It's not operable, nor will chemo do much to help, based on the kind of cancer and where it is. I don't know how long he has... as long as he can still eat and is still happy (which is how he has been since we got him meds), he'll be here with me. I've not really cried about it yet, I don't know if I'm just okay with it or it hasn't hit me yet.
I think I'm going to post some pics that I took the other day at the Dog Paddle.

Random Update
Posted 17 years agoWell, I have finally gone through all the pictures that showed up in the time between FA going down and me getting back online after we moved. Hopefully I can keep up from now on out!
For some reason, looking at pictures and reading journals sometimes makes me feel lonely, like everyone else out there is friends with each other and yet I have no friends. Or few. I dunno why I feel that way, because if I'm rational about it, it's not true. I DO have lots of friends, especially counting the online ones. I think I would like to be friends with some of the people I think are cool here on FA, but I'm not exactly sure how I'd do that. I am hardly ever on IM* and I don't usually have anything interesting to say anyway.
I have been thinking about going to cons, but I'm such a wallflower and I really don't have any interest in the panels or anything, so I'm not sure exactly what I would do there. Except be creepy at people I only know from online. :)
In other news, there's been a lot of stress around the house lately, though for once it isn't me who is the one wound tighter than a cheap watch, but it does tend to leak over everyone. It seems to be taking forever to get the house in order, and now that Barbi's in school and working, she doesn't have the time and energy to get it the way she wants.
Also, my dog Luc has been sick. We took him to the vet and got an X-ray and he has some sort of mass in his stomach. Not good. We're going in for an ultrasound next week, but honestly, it doesn't look good. I've been surprisingly zen about the possibility he has cancer (except at night when I hug him tighter than he really prefers), but maybe it's just not 'real' yet. He's still pretty much his old self, happy and goofy most of the time, except when he's throwing up, so that helps, I suppose.
For those who didn't know, we had to place two of our dogs and our cat in order to get down to three dogs to move (it's really hard to find rental property where you can bring your zoo with), and though life is a lot easier with the smaller pack, I do find myself missing the other boys some, especially with the situation with Luc, even though I know they are happier now with more attention and things to do in their new homes.
I'm already into tl;dr territory, so I'll stop now. I'm not even sure why I wrote this here instead of my LJ, but maybe I'm looking for a wider bit of attention. :D
* Why is it when you log into IM, the only people on are the ones you don't want to talk to?

I am back (sort of)
Posted 17 years agoOkay, I am just now starting to go through the backlog of art and journals that I missed while FA was down and during our move. I might just nuke everything, but for now I am resisting the temptation. :)
Birthday!
Posted 17 years agoToday is my birthday. I am even older than I was before.
Another new icon
Posted 17 years agoWell, I thought it was about time to get a new icon. So I did. This one is by
pensive, and I think it makes me look young!

Everyone else was...
Posted 17 years agoWell, not everyone else. But a few people I was watching got accounts. Not that I remember now who they were, or even how to find them there, but...
I have an account on MyFursona now. I think it's like a learner's MySpace. Maybe I will eventually figure out how this social networking thing works.

Lots of journals
Posted 17 years agoI just deleted a lot of journals, because I've been ignoring FA for a couple weeks. I feel a little bad.
It is a little weird to read and comment on the blogs/journals of people you don't really know IRL sometimes. I like it, especially since I'm such a recluse IRL, it's nice to feel connected. But I'm always wary about crossing an invisible line about what's appropriate and what's not... and what people want to hear from random people they don't know.
Just random thoughts.
Of course, it's not like most of the people I am thinking about will read this! Irony.

800!
Posted 17 years agoWow, I got 800 pageviews. I wonder how many of them are me! :3
For my reference...
Posted 17 years agoI've marked as favorite a lot of art. These are the links to the pictures of my characters, so I can more easily find them, and maybe put them in my cinfo:

I dare say!
Posted 17 years agoApparently, I only post when I have a new icon. But here's the one I just got from
chozo. Please do not say anything surprising, or I might drop my monocle!

I has a new icon...
Posted 17 years agoI have been told that I look too grumpy, mean and serious in my old icon. So, now I have a new one, done by
fio. Yay!

Happy Valentines Day!
Posted 17 years agoTo all of you. Yes, you too. <3
Happy New Year!
Posted 17 years agoHappy New Year to everyone. I'll be mostly away for the next week, taking a nice vacation!
Happy Holidays!
Posted 17 years agoHappy Holidays to everyone. I'm sad that Taps is down, but, oh well. I'm not an addict. Really. c.c
