Upcoming birthday, and gallbladder trouble?
General | Posted 11 years agoSo my birthday is coming up this Monday... and so is an ultrasound.
For those of you that don't know, for the past few months, I've been having a lot of heart burn, and been burping a lot. So today I went to the doctor and they had a look at me. Their thinking it could there could be something wrong with my gallbladder, so this Monday, I will be getting an ultrasound test to see if my gallbladder has any stones or not. Hopefully I won't need it to be removed since my heart burn and burping seem to be dying down a bit, but I still get some them time to time. Well, he's hoping that I won't have any bad news on my birthday.

Good news about my hard drive space
General | Posted 11 years agoI got some good news about my hard drive space issue, I found a way to delete the system volume information. All I did was go to disk clean up, selected remove system restore points and shadow copies, and I got back 200 GB. I'm glad that I was able to get some space back, because now I can use that space for games, videos, and artwork.
My precious hard drive space!
General | Posted 11 years agoOk, for at least two months now, I've been loosing an massive amount of hard drive space, about 200 GB has been lost so far. At first I thought I had an virus, but after several scans, none thing. I've tried deleting files that I don't use, but it's only a temporarily fix. So after doing some research, I've found the cause of it, system volume information. From what I can gather, system volume information creates restore points, files that you can use to restore your computer to an earlier state, and a few other things. But here's the thing, I never turned on restore points. I have no idea why it's just suddenly taking a lot of space or how it started, but I'm gonna do what ever it takes to stop it, and get my 200 GB back.

I'm erasing so much/hard, it's destroying my paper
General | Posted 11 years agoWell, I just found out a downside for me drawing traditional. I make a lot of mistakes and errors on my drawings, so I have to erase and redo a small little detail, a lot. But sometimes, I will erase so much, it will rip my notebook paper apart. This has already happen to me twice, and I'm already getting sick of it, because I just lost about an hour or two's wroth of work on drawings. Is there any tips other than using less pressure while drawing and erasing that I could use?
Sonic and Mega Man crossovers continues into 2015
General | Posted 11 years agohttp://www.polygon.com/2014/10/7/69.....ossover-series
I am here by dubbing 2013, 2014, and 2015 the Sonic and Mega Man Crossover Saga: 2013 had Worlds Collide comic crossover, 2014 had the two as fighters in Smash Bros 4, and 2015 is gonna have another comic crossover known as Worlds Unite.
What do we know at this time? None thing other than it's gonna be a bigger than Worlds Collide
I'm wondering if we're the Archie exclusive characters are gonna appear in it this time (Though Sally and Snively had cameos in the Worlds Collide since Xander Payne is likely gonna play a big part in the cross over this time (Issue 40 of Mega Man had him see the events of Worlds Collide, an event where none of the Mega Man cast remembers happening). What he has planned? My guess is that he's gonna alter the time lines, or the events of Worlds Collide, and try to take out both Mega Man and X, or maybe he plans to trick all three of them into fighting each other (Remember, none of the Mega Man cast remembers Worlds Collide). Though we will see, more details about the crossover will be given out later this week, so we won't have to wait long to see what's gonna happen. Until then, I'm gonna play SUPER SMAAAAAAAAAAASH BROTHERS 3DS!

Countdown To Smash Bros 3DS (Day 4?)
General | Posted 11 years agoOnly a few hours left til the US release!
So today on Countdown to Smash Bros 3DS where gonna talk about... Smash Bros... 4... Huh, I guess I really didn't plan this out too well. But that's not gonna stop me from talking about Day 4.
Back in 2011, after Nintendo unveiled the Wii U, Iwata revealed that a new Smash Bros games was in the works. While no new footage or photos of the game existed yet, I along with many others where hyped for it. Two years later, we where shown the first trailer, and we all saw the likes of Villager, Mega Man, and Wii Fit Trainer join the battle (Though she did came out of no where). As time went on, we got more info about the returning and new fighters, stages, and features. Not only that, but there are two versions being made, a 3DS version that is getting released in the US and UK tomorrow, and a Wii U version that is coming this holiday.
Man, I really can't think of anything else to say as I'm too hyped for tomorrow's release!
I know, here's some of the Mii Fighters I'm gonna make:
DerrickDTH (My Mii) (all classes)
Duke Nukem (Gunner)
Samurai Jack (Swordfighter)
Tails (Gunner)
Dr. Eggman (Gunner)
Goku (Brawler)
Vegeta (Brawler)
Inuyasha (Swordfighter)
Waluigi (Brawler)
Naruto (Brawler)
And many more to come
... Also, did anyone think Greninja was Mewtwo in his/her reveal trailer?

Countdown To Smash Bros 3DS (Day 3: Brawl)
General | Posted 11 years agoOnly two days remain til the release of Smash Bros 3DS!
Warning: there's a lot of text this time.
Brawl... The first game that I was ever hyped for, and my reason to get a Nintendo Wii. Ever since I saw that trailer in 06, I couldn't wait to play as the newcomers: Meta Knight, Pit, Zero Suit Samus, Wario, and Snake... ! Snake?! Yeah, the hype for this game got even bigger when Snake was announced as a fighter, many people saw this as a chance for other 3rd party characters to join the fight, in the end, only one other third party character joined Snake, Sonic The Hedgehog. And before I continue talking about the game, let's talk about Electronic Gaming Monthly's April Fools joke from 2002, In which they claimed that both Sonic and Tails where unlockable fighters, and both would be unlocked after you KOed 20 opponents in Cruel Melee ( The Mock up photos http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb.....ailshoax.jpg). EGM later apologized as it too many people took it seriously. And then later, Yuji Naka, Sonic's creator, relived that their where gonna try to put Sonic in Melee, but time constraints prevented it from happening. And look now, Sonic is a playable fighter in both Brawl and Smash 4, Tails on the other hand only got stage cameos and a trophy in both Brawl and Smash 4, maybe next time Tails.
Now back to Brawl: After Sonic's announcement, and because he was added in very late in development, the game had to be delayed to 2008, the USA release just happened to be on my birthday, but this made many of us disappointed as we had to late a few more months.
But after that long late, we final got the chance to play Brawl along with it's new modes. Subspace Emissary was an new adventure model that bought all the fighters, expect three of them, to save the world in one big adventure. It had you play every fighter ,expect three that you would later unlock, in the game interact with each other, teaming up , or fighting against each other. We mostly all enjoyed it... Until we reached it's final level, The Great Maze. Not only this level was crammed with every previous level together, but it was also big, took forever, had you refight every boss, every fighter you came across, and you would likely to get lost A LOT, all that to fight the final boss and one of the many ways to unlock Sonic. Seriously, look how big this map is, it's huge! ( http://oyster.ignimgs.com/mediawiki.....egreatmaze.jpg ) Other than that, it's adventure mode was ok, though I'm a little sad that it's not coming back for Smash 4. There was also an online mode, where you could fight anyone around the world. At first we all thought this was gonna be fun... Our minds quickly changed after the game came out. Not only it took you forever just to find players to fight against, but there was also massive lag, and a big chance that you would get disconcerted from the other players. He's hoping that both the 3DS and Wii U versions of Smash 4 fix that. Now the roaster, it's pretty good, though there are some fighters that we never asked for (R.O.B,), and some fighters from Melee had to be cut (Mewtwo, Roy, and Dr. Mario's files can still be found in the disk). Other than that, it was the best roaster that we had until Smash 4, with 29 starting characters and 14 unlockable character bring the total to 35 fighting characters, ten more fighters than Melee.
Now there's one more thing to talk about Brawl... Tripping and how slow it is, while these elements don't brother me, it brothered almost everyone else though. These where put into the game to balance both the characters and players. Like I saw, this neverd brothered me, and I don't even notice it most of the time. Though tripping is getting removed for Smash 4, and the speed has been turned up a bit.
Overall, until Smash 4 comes out, this will be my favorite Smash Bros game. Only two more days guys!

Countdown to Smash Bros 3DS (Day 2: Melee)
General | Posted 11 years agoNote: Sorry that I'm late for day 2.
Next up on our countdown is the game that made everyone go out and grab a Gamecube, Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Melee took what was best of the original N64 Smash, and made them even better along with new characters, stages, modes, and even more chaotic muitplayer battles! Man, there's not much to say what has been already said about this game. But I do have some memiores about this game this time. I first saw this game when I was at a one of my cousin's house and saw them playing Melee, they where playing on the Corneria (One of the two Star Fox stages) and one of them was playing as Mr.Game and Watch. Game and Watch by him self was enough to make me watch them play, as I was very fascinated on how he was a 2D character (Though he's really a 3D model https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yJGU346aWA ), and the fact that he was also beating up Mario too was a plus. I wouldn't get to own Melee until Fall/Winter of 2007, yes it took me that long just to get Melee, and being hooked on it, after of years playing it with friends and family. Though, even after all these years, I still haven't completed all the events or unlocked all the stages ( I had, and still, a hard time trying to complete some missions, like Lethal Marathon, how am I susposed to clear this stage in a few seconds, while a single hit from a the racers can kill me instantly!). But other than that, I had a great time with Melee, and I hope that I'll unlock the remaining stages someday, until then, I'll keep getting hit by F-zero racers.

Countdown to Super Smash Bros 3DS (Day 1: N64)
General | Posted 11 years agoWe are just 4 days away to the international (US, UK. Australia will get it a day later, Oct 4.) release of Super Smash Bros 3DS, so in honor of it's upcoming release, we're gonna take a look back to all previous Smash Bros games, starting with the very first, Super Smash Bros... For the Nintendo 64!
The game gave us eight (and four unlockable) characters to fight to the death, break targets, board some platforms, race to the finish, beat up a giant hand, and play with four other people on eight (and one unlockable) stages.
While I didn't have an N64, and I still don't, I final got my chance to play Smash 64 when it was released on the Wii's virtual console a few years ago, and my goodness, we have come a long away from this. For one thing, there are no side special moves, meaning you only had three special attacks that you could use. Also, a roaster of 12 fighters is pretty small for a fighting game, same for the game's nine (plus six stages that can only be played by hacking), it felt a little small. This is likely do to the N64's space limitations (N64 cartridges could only hold up to 4 to 64 megabytes), and because of this, three fighters (Mewtwo, Bowser, and King Dedede) had to be cut from the final game, as well as final smashes, an element that wouldn't be seen until Brawl.
Over all: Smash 64 was a great start to the series, but it's very dated, and I'll only recommend playing it if your curious to see how much of the series has changed and where it all started. I'll end this journal with some Smash 64 related videos. Enjoy ^_^

Batman and Sym-Bionic Titan get tax write offs!
General | Posted 11 years agoAnd I thought loosing Vortexx and the Saturday morning cartoon blocks today was bad enough, earlier this week Adult Swim's Toonami block announced that Cartoon Network is tax writing off both Beware The Batman and Sym-Bionic Titan, this means neither Cartoon Network or Adult Swim are allowed to air Beware The Batman and Sym-Bionic Titan ever again... EVER! However, Toonami will air all the remaining Beware The Batman episodes tonight starting at 2:30 am.
While I have seen Sym-Bionic Titan, and think it was a pretty good show, I have not see any episode of Beware The Batman, I've herd mixed things about this show, but I'll give it a shot since this will be likely the only time I will ever watch episodes of BTB.
It's sad to see these two shows go away like this, and this isn't the first time either *Megas: XLR and IGPX: Immortal Grand Prix also had this happen to them, though Adult Swim was able to get IGPX to air again*, here's hoping that these two will be the last write offs Cartoon Network ever does.

Saturday morning blocks that we grew up come to an end.
General | Posted 11 years agoWell, tomorrow is very important day in the history of children's programming, the major network's (ex: Fox, CW, ABC) traditional children's programming blocks comes to a end as Vortexx (The final programming block that exists) is airing for the last time on The CW, and will be replaced with... an educational and informational block... that's owned by Litton Entertainment (And will be their THIRD E/I BLOCK!).
Thanks to the likes of FCC Mandates, all local major networks are required to air at least three hours of educational and informational shows each week. This decision made the major networks either add E/I shows to their children's block's line up, retool, or cancel them. Cable Networks also likely played a part in this, as they have channels aimed to children that air every day, and are not required to air any E/I shows.
This is sad as I, and many others, grew up with Saturday morning programming blocks, like Fox Kids, Kid's WB, and One Saturday Morning, and have many memories of waking up early on Saturday just to watch a new episode of Power Rangers, Digimon, Sonic X, Recess, and many others. Despite these blocks coming to an end, their legacy will live on thanks to the likes of VHS tapes and video streaming websites, like Youtube, and our memories. Rest In Peace SatAM cartoon blocks: 1960s - 2014

General | Posted 11 years agoLast night, I just notice that I'm less than 20 page views away from 10,000 page views. It may have took 4 years, but I'm reaching a FA milestone here, and it's coming soon :3
Most epic midi song you ever herd!
General | Posted 11 years agoRemember when midi was a thing, back when DOS and late 90's computers used these? You would likely know about them if you played video games like Doom, Woflenstein 3D, Duke Nukem, and many other DOS games.
Not too long ago, I found out that there was a unused song for Rise of the Triad: Dark War, it was finally released last year when RoTT's remake came out, and my goodness, this song is epic.

No idea why is was cut though or what is was gonna be used for, it may have been a character theme song, or a epic final boss music, but I don't think we will ever know. But it is nice to hear this peace of music by Lee Jackson.

What would be a good name for Rule 63 Derrick?
General | Posted 11 years agoFor awhile now, I've had plans to make a Rule 63 version of my fursona, Derrick D. Hedgehog (Yeah, I changed his middle name), but I can't decide or make up a female name for her. I am thinking of Derria, but there maybe other names out there I could use. Please help me out... Also, please don't say Derrick-ko, that's a really bad name for a female.

There go my hopes for Klonoa being in Smash.
General | Posted 11 years agoWell, we all saw a Namco character joining Smash coming, but it wasn't the one I really wanted in, but this ain't bad either... *Waits for Namco to make another Klonoa game*

To be fair, predicted that it was either gonna be Pac-Man or Klonoa. Now I just want to see Tails join the fight, or a be a assist trophy
Also Game and Watch, who is very likely to return, confirmed?

Gallery update!
General | Posted 11 years agoI have removed a few pictures (Mostly old shitty art, and a few color pics). I currently have no plans to reupload them any time soon. Though I may remake a few of them.
Thinking about cleaning up my gallery

I'm a few days late, but I now have a Wii U
General | Posted 11 years agoYes, I bought myself a Wii U (Basic Version) a few days ago, and I'm having a blast with it. He's the list of things I got with it
Wii U Skylanders Swap Force set (Comes with Basic Wii U, Nintendo Land and SwapForce starter set)
Three normal Skylander figures (Lava Barf, Slobber Tooth, and Pop Fizz
One Swap Force figure (Stink Bomb)
Wii Party U (With Black Wii Remote Plus)
And Sonic Lost World (Deadly Six Edition DLC)
So yeah, I already have four Wii U games too, and have played three of the four games so far, and I'm enjoying the console too, though I'm left with 3GB thanks to the updates and Wii U basic's small hard drive space, but will be made up with a external hard drive. Other than that, I can't wait for Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros 4 to come out!
