I owe FA a major long overdue apology...

I finally realized I was extremely wrong about what I thought the motives behind banning Cub were. I now no longer believe the Cub ban was just an attempt to "clean up the furry fandom." If anything banning it was the best thing for popularizing Cub within our community as a whole. Wether that's a good thing for the Furry Fandom, is up to your personal opinion.

I've recently been reminded that maybe part of the reason to ban Cub was to actually help save the subject. So I want to thank you and give my personal apology for acting like such a jerk about the ban. At the time I didn't understand what good things could happen for Cub in the long run.

It's obvious to me now that we weren't trying to "gentrify" anything. Before the ban, Cub seemed like a very small portion of the Furry Fandom. The moment Cub was banned, was the moment we truly acknowledged Cub's exaistance. It let the world know Cub was no longer just some fringe subject within our community. Banning Cub helped popularize it even further and it's no longer being buried amongst thousands of other posts.

Users took their content elsewhere and now Cub is considered one of the most popular subjects in the furry fandom today. I personally didn't see that coming!!! All it needed was a little push to get recentralized again. (Cub Centralized... Hehe) Thus, Cub became bigger and better than it ever was or could of been. 🤯

So, I'm very sorry for neglecting to use the site and for the drama I might of caused... I'll make an effort to post more stuff soon and start promoting the website again! 😸

Heyall! Nice to be back! And again with promises of being around more.. lol Well I'd like to give props to my old friends and new friends alike! However, I feel bad for that friends who've known me through the internet. I have no intentions to neglect you fine folks! To help, I'm back on all my IM stuff. Where have I been for the last 10 years?
*2000-2003: Well, I moved from my easy internet time sync of the state of Maine, to Northern Alabama. Instead of the internet being my furry outlet, the great friends I've made in AL became easy distractions from my early days of hanging out on AGNPH. Witch was actually sorta falling apart from it's original glory at the time. From there I did post, draw, and IRC for a few years but then seemingly died when it came to my internet presence.
*2003-2008: Well at the time I just got into music, witch has been a life long dream of mine I thought out of reach; I also got mated at that time. Thus if I was online, it was to play video games... Lived with my mate and best friend.
*2008-2011: Lived with my mate and my best friend for a few years in a house we picked out together. It was AWESOME! We had our computers setup so we could all game in the same room, two dogs and a garage where yours truly started setting up a workshop for more physical type projects. Glassblowing, wood working, and whatever else one can do in a place where a stereo and floorspace could be useful for.
*As of now (Last Few Months): Moved into a new place with the best friend, and another awesome friend who will help with my music and programing likes. Ex-Mate took the phone that was making my 'On the go' IM'ing possible. But I have a new one now! If you haven’t got my new Phone number, Hit me up on a Messenger or email me! ^_^
*Other then that: I'm hoping I can post and such more often. I live with people who inspire me creatively and have my own computer setup in a place that isn't a public space; I can finally get to whatever, whenever!

So now what?
Umm.. well I'm sorta a furry without a cause. AGNPH was fun, but whatever is out there now isn't something I care for anymore. I liked the original run, I liked the friends there, but they're available usually on other IRC places or I have they're contacts already. So now where to hang out, what to do, what to get inspired by... I'm not sure.. So far though I've been hanging out in the Feral Furry Channels and mostly on Palringo Groups. Over the years I've come back to the scene enjoying the Role-play of a non-anthro Fennec, so please don't squish me, or think I can take on anything too big. Sure I can morph up to keep things from being like throwing a hotdog down a hallway, but I like the small cute thing.

I'm also a fan of some radio talk shows, and may go down that path with my work; I'll experiment with cross-platforming the Media and see how it goes....

The Bad(?) News: Well, I've been hard at work the last five years developing skill points in music, that's pretty much where I've been along with a very active social life. Luckily I'm now available on the classic messenger services Palringo/AIM/Yahoo/Google=DesertfoxNick.

The Good News: Over the last year or so I've completely overhauled my artwork. I went back to the basics a few times even and I've been practicing countless (tossed) quick sketches that one would normally do in life drawing class. Can't say much of it is postable, even if it's better then what I've done in the past, I still have that nagging feeling that I'm just around the corner to a breakthrough witch usually ends up with me thinking the artwork the week before sucked compared to NOW! ^_^

I'll try to post something, at the moment I'm working on cutting a lot of Jams I've done with the band Critical Fail (Unfortunately minus Sii).

I also have a story I'm writing, well, editing now...

And last but not least a lot of catching up to do when it comes to the chat universe. I don't have anything decent for IRC for the Iphone; I'd like to have a decent Mud client for the Iphone so I can maybe use Tapestries; but if you'd like to hang, msg me on Palringo and I'll hook you up with several good furry chart rooms/groups that don't show up on the shitty search engine they have.

Good morning, good evening, whatever it maybe, I just wanted to say Hey! I know I haven't been around in forever, but fear not; It's not because I don't draw or sing anymore. In fact I've been working hard IRL and most of my off time has been doing the things I love; and of coarse playing video games, lol.

Here's some Hobbies and My Progress! YAY!

Artwork
Well, for the last year I've really been hitting the books with this one. I still uneasy just to start the task; But get me going and I can't even understand it myself, it's coming out better then I could of hoped. Where are these pictures? Well, mostly I've been practicing the 5 to 10 minute speed sketching. My goal isn't to produce, it's to train a method of putting down images on paper. If the base design for a sketch is pretty important, then that's just what I have been practicing. I originally got back into drawing because I had remembered I had scored very high in the ("http://www.longleaf.net/ggrow/7In/S.....tml"";)Spatial category in IQ tests taken in High School. So it just made sense to me that if I got off my lazy ass and got to drawing more regularly, I'd probably have good luck at it.

So I have had that luck in rediscovering my draw. But I'm lacking an anchor right now, I'm sort of addicted to the process of getting better at my sketch work then I have at finishing out a piece... Sometimes I'll meditate on a problem area of the subject; Then, by the time I get to scanning the old pictures I'm like I'm like "It Sucks, but I could make more!" then trash it or forget about it.

I picked up a new program Called ("http://www.inkscape.org/"";)InkScape, that is a free to use Open Source Vector Graphics Application; Pretty much my Flash replacement minus animation. I can now make my vector objects with this program, then import the objects I make into flash or another animator someday. It has a lot of neat features, and the tutorial is really easy with "as you read" examples for you to play with.

So yeah, I'll see what I can do about this "Artwork" thing. ^^;

Video Games
I sort of dropped WOW, because I know I'll be playing a lot of it when Cataclysm comes out. (Almost auto Spell-checked that to Catholicism.)

Most of my Gaming/Computer time has been used playing Assassins Creed 2; Diablo 2; Grand Theft Auto 4 Multi-player; Grid (Some racing game...); and ("http://www.eartheternal.com/"";)Earth Eternal<\a").

(Assassins Creed 2 = The PC version with the extra Missions the game didn't have back when I first beat it on the X-box last Christmas.)

Music
I've been practicing my guitar work. I have the serious fundamentals down and can even sing at the same time in most of the cases. Again I gotta start producing crap; And with the advent of the possibility of having 2 drummers for the band, we could have some real awesome times ahead!

Podcasts
Don't get me wrong Furry Rocks! But to help expand my mind I'll listen to a Nightly Radio program that's probably on an AM Radio Station NEAR YOU!!! ("http://www.coasttocoastam.com/";) Coast to Coast AM

Or at least the ones I can keep up with; lol.

Writing
This is what it really comes down to now; If you read the description of (http://www.longleaf.net/ggrow/7In/S.....tial.html";) Spatial, then it comes quite clear that I must write regularly before I'm really going to get a handle of the creating process. I once feared writing because of my spelling disabilities, I avoided writing because I felt intimidated by the Drafting Process. I didn't understand how important it was to be able to ramble; Err I mean write; lol. <--;;LOL;;--<

So I've got two stories in the works, and I have several ways to take notes on the fly. I even bought an old ass piece of technology called the Alphasmart Dana. Imagine it's the IBM version of the E-Mate 300 that Apple had back in the 90's. Yes I got one of those too, but it needs some TLC.

It's about time to start looking back at some of the notes, but In a way I've sorta been practicing my ability to create. YAY MORE LAG!

So yeah, let me go ahead and read over this email a few times, and I'll post it for ya; I miss talking with people regularly on IRC, and I feel bad for all the "Roll-Players" that I just can't play with anymore.

Hey, here I am again! And again I hope I get to this more then once a year.. lol

Anyway, I hope everyone's doing well! It's been a long time in coming.. but I finally got some scans done. I guess as it were, I took a break. I never stopped thinking about drawing, but in a lot of ways I had to rediscover a love for it.

In response to an e-mail.

Hey, thanks for the tell, sorry if it’s been a while.. I rarely get a chance/remember to check my email. I haven’t really done anything in a while, I think I write concepts better than I get to produce them.. Haha. It’s been a while since I’ve done them regularly because I got into music a few years back and all my productive time went to that. I’m a big time gamer when it comes to sucking up hours away at something as well, and often I don’t get the best privacy in the world.

Between you and another friend though I can’t help but want to do ‘something’ at least. My biggest problem right now though is that I don’t want to return to doing this stuff on the whim of nostalgia. I personally believe one can’t move forward as a person unless they ‘learn’ and not ‘dwell’ on their past. Do I want to be stuck in a loop, or do I really gain experience from this? Nowadays I’ve been a bit distant from the fandom, and when I pick up pencil to draw I can’t help but feel like it’s happening all over again, thus creating writers block… but with drawing.

I always believed that perfection was to do everything for yourself. Rent, Food, and Gas all has to be paid with a job. However, sometimes it’s hard to find that driving force that gets one there everyday. For many years and jobs I’ve had to deal with the fact that I thought “If I can‘t do this for myself, how could I support someone else?” From there it can be a depressive cycle that makes you question how close you get too someone.

After a few years of Counterstrike, World of Warcraft and a few good books like “The Art of War” and “Building a Leadership Revolution”, I started to realize it wasn’t about just me. It was about what I did for the ‘team’. What I did, and could do for others! I’m now proud to be able to say that I do what I do for you! Weather it’s forwarding a call to the General Manager, or it’s Singing a song in front of a crowd of people, I know that people are there because they like my flavor.

So, that’s sort of my answer to why it’s been so long since I’ve done stuff… The “AGNPH” animation was supposed to symbolize my departure. I never go there anymore, and to be honest they started adding a whole bunch more Pokemon to the point that I didn’t even bother to try to keep up. I saw the Indigo series and beyond that was just damn boring to watch compared to.. Well any Anime that goes beyond 3 colors of shading for a particular object or color.

Spare for my old friends that I still feel for from AGNPH; and hope they don’t ream my hide for what I’ve typed, I generally just lack a fan base I’m particularly fond of that’ll get my draw back. I don’t want to feel like I’m riding the coattails of a dead horse. I game a lot so sitting in some IRC channel is out of the question, unless I’m at work. Not that it would be a problem but if I remember correctly, a Furry without privacy on the internet was like being temporarily neutered!

So if I did come back.. I may barrow some more artwork from Mathias, and do some loops. Other than that I’ll probably be focusing to my music, maybe mixing what I learned from flash into something. I always had an inkling for Radio and Animation so don’t be suppressed if I try a “Gorillaz” spin-off with a Radio Show someday!
