I hope I'm not the only one who is really glad whenever he climbs into bed and realizes it's raining. I don't think there is anything I find more relaxing than the soft layer of noise supplied by each sheet of rain that breaks upon the rooftop.

Especially on a night like tonight, when I was wrought with emotion and wound really tight on top of having slept too late this morning, I am thankful for the rain. I was worried I wouldn't be able to sleep, and making it to work in the morning would be a disaster...but when I realized it was raining, I knew everything would be alright--or at least, not nearly as bad as it could be.

Rain is the best lullaby I could ask for.

This has been a recurring issue in the past, ever since I started using Skype a lot: I often find myself doing very little because I am having so many conversations--frequently the same conversations, it would seem, or at least feel like--with a bunch of different people.

I love talking to people and making new fur friends and building relationships as I get to know people. I wish I could talk to everyone I know every single day and be really close to them all...but there just isn't enough time in the day, is there?

Here I want to stop and say that I am NOT writing this as a "Don't Bother Me" type of thing. I'm just remarking on where all my time seems to go a lot of the time. If you're my friend and feel that I don't talk to you often, the reason why is probably related to this.

I like to think I will always keep making new friends, and it's pretty impossible to lose me as a friend, but I do worry sometimes about the upkeep of each new friendship, and about ending up neglecting those who are my friends already. It's something that makes me pretty anxious in all honesty.

One part of me says that I should be more faithful and give more time to my older friends: They have earned it, right? They've been with me all this time!

Another part of me says that a lot of the most awesome and wonderful people I will meet in my life are people I still haven't had the pleasure of talking to yet... If I don't give everyone the same chances to get close to me, who's to say I'm not shutting out people who might potentially be the closest and best friends I will ever have?

In any case, yes I do spend a lot of time chatting idly on Skype, but it just might be worth every bit of the time it takes. :3 <3 I think so anyway.

Heh. I guess I've totally become one. I'm always looking for people to commission and trying to think of things worth having drawn these days.

Having a regular income I suppose was all the difference it really took, I guess...but also I have grown to really like my fursona. I just want a lot of art of him the way I picture him, looking the way I want and doing the things I like. ^=^ If he's supposed to represent me in this community I love so much, I want him to do a too job of it.

Recently I changed my icon for the second time ever. That's not a big deal to most people, I imagine, but I used one icon--which I still use on Skype and a couple other things, and many of you may remember well--for six years or so on here. And I used that icon everywhere! It was more of a trademark and an identity of mine than my fursona: so much so that I wore a badge with that icon on it instead of my 'sona when I was at AC 2014. I guess things have changed a little since then, huh?

I will try to make it to both Anthrocon and Fur the 'More this coming year. This may sound random, but I plan to go to Califur as well. I'm hoping that from now on, of someone recognizes me at a con, it will most likely be by my fursona and not my icon. I keep meaning to post a recent photo as a profile id here as well, so there might be that, too. :3!

Anyway, back on the subject of me being an artwhore:
I currently have three artists whom I've paid that I'm waiting on art from, including a pinup each from  oselotti and  jailbird who are both really truly awesome, and one other whom I don't think has an account here.

I'm a pretty patient beast, and good things come to those who wait, but I do get pretty excited about artwork. I love pretty pictures so much~ X3 I'm eager to see how things turn out with those. I have a couple other irons on the fire, but I only specifically mentioned those whom I've already sent payment to. ^^' There was one other person I commissioned and paid during Anthrocon...but I am thinking he won't ever finish my commission, sadly... u.=.u I'm not going to name names though. Never had a taste for all that drama stuff!

Anyway, my hearty 'gratulations to anyone who managed to claw through that wall of text. I'd like to give you all your choice of free ice cream and/or cookies, because you really deserve it!

I figured I'd give this a shot, since it seems to be so widespread, and my last journal was a bit heavy so I didn't want it to say on my page forever.

I don't plan on making this a regular thing, coz I doubt there are a lot of people out there dying to know various things about me... ^=^'; ...but if any of you DO have questions, trivial or otherwise, here is your chance to ask to ask them~

This probably isn't news to anyone. They're also just about the worst way to start your day. Very surreal...like a living nightmare.

I was just in a car accident where my car and another were both totaled. I'm fine other than being extremely shaken and afraid to get behind the wheel again, and the other driver's airbag might have broken her arm, but no more serious damage took place.

No one seems to know for sure whose fault it was, but I have a feeling this will end up being very expensive just because of an increase in the price of my insurance if nothing else.

I went home and crawled back into bed after making all the necessary calls. Not going to work after all. Not after that. Don't think I will be getting much done today.

Everyone, please drive safely. Cars are killing machines, and in spite of everything, I feel really lucky that no one's life is in danger after an accident like that.

...I was there, and it was my first con ever! ^^'

I had lots of fun. Everyone was so nice--though I spent most of the time with my roommates, so I didn't meet as many people as I probably should have...and didn't really get any contact info from those I did meet. Oops... u.u;

Regardless, I think that weekend was something I really really needed. I didn't realize just how tightly wound up I was until I arrived home again and noticed just how different I felt. x.o;

Many of you may have noticed that I not only don't make many submissions, but I also seldom ever post journals, either. This is primarily due to a sneaking suspicion that even if I did, no one would read them. >.<

Awright. Well. I'm making this journal mostly because I never make journals. I just think it's fair that I -update- my life for anyone interest. ^^'

First off, my birthday is coming up on the 14th of April, so I guess that's pretty exciting, even if I keep forgetting about it. x3;

Uhhh...I recently got back into RuneScape, if it's anyone's concern. The game is pretty infamous, but I am so happy to talk to all the friends I have there again. Furry Menagerie is a fantastic clan with lots of wonderful, awesome, and friendly people.

Next year I will begin to attend the University of Arizona, and I'm kinda psyched. n.n Having lived in Virginia my entire life, it's quite a jaunt, and being transplanted so far from home in a whole new crowd is all kinds of exciting as well.

I may be a busy guy, but I am essentially always on Skype, despite appearing offline, and probably won't be able to resist talking to you if you send me a message.

A while back I offered art requests to a number of people, and I'd like to apologize for still having to postpone those: my life has been very hectic, and it is looking like it will continue to be so in the foreseeable future.

I STILL love Magic: The Gathering, but, regrettably, I haven't really been keeping up with it recently for lack of time. Still working on a Pokemon: Soul Silver team, and would love to chat about it/receive input from anyone interested in the subject of POKEMONS.

I have also found myself becoming at least a little more integrated into Fur Affinity's lovely VORE community (vore ever being a great love of mine).  Charem is a sweetheart, for those of you who don't know him, and his streams are very entertaining.  imperfectflame is just as sweet, surely, but not as talkative, both in his streams and in general, but he has of late been doing many a lovely doodle by request in his streams--but mind you, his streams are never nsfw, as is his wont.  roco is the third and final sweetheart I'd like to give a nod to in this journal (I was just giving a small sample of friends I've been growing closer to that I met as a result of my love for vore, and there are many more of you lovelies, but I can't write about everyone, despite my fondness for ya >3<): Roco is a great guy, but always the busy boy, seldom having much of a chance to talk or even produce some more of his lovely art.

Magic: The Gathering.
It's a popular card game. It has been for quite a long time. Anyway, I've allowed myself to completely drown in it and don't regret anything yet.

It's actually increased my social life. I attend tournaments, make tons of new friends, and have people over all the time, and we play a lot of MTG, among other things.

Another plus is the art. I have seen some BEAUTIFUL card art while playing this game, and I even got to meet a talented artist during one of my more recent excursions: Grand Prix D.C., at which some $60 in cards were stolen from me--I still had an excellent time.

In any event, I was wondering if anyone else plays the game. I know not many people watch me, so I'm expecting either a no or lack of response, but I thought it was a question worth asking. I like to know there are other nerds like me out there. ^^';
