things that I don't know how to title
Posted 13 years agoWow okay I keep deleting and restarting this because I have no idea how to say it. When I realized I was genderqueer, I never really 'came out', I just kind of changed my gender to other, made a note in my ID about neutral pronouns, made a neutrally gendered fursona, but I never really sat down and made a journal saying hey, I'm a gender-neutral individual, I'm not male or female, I'm me. This isn't what this journal is, but it seems good to start it off by mentioning that.
So, as most of you probably know (or do know upon having read that first paragraph), I identify as genderqueer. I prefer the pronouns they/them/their. I do not identify as female, I do not identify as male. I wear androgynous clothing and have a fairly ambiguous hairstyle, and I regularly confuse strangers and customers at work (despite having a nametag with my birth name, which is fairly obviously one gender).
For quite some time now, the issue of my name has bothered me. I doubt I'll ever change it, because a part of me feels like it would be kind of spitting in my parents' face to do so, because I understand the thought that went into it. Regardless, I wanted to have a name to call my own which would be neutral and ambiguous, and which would not immediately tip people off as to what my genitals are shaped like (because really, it's not necessary). Many of you on the Internet have my added on Facebook, which means you know my birth name, whether or not you call me that. I'd rather you didn't, for the record.
So this journal is really about names, and the fact that I believe I have finally found one that I wish to go by, for now just on the Internet and perhaps in the future maybe in real life. I do not want to be called by my birth name, it's highly unnecessary and on some days can even be a tad hurtful. I would like to be known as Jaime (JAY-mee), this is the name I have chosen for myself, and this is what I would like to be called. I now have it listed as my name on most sites I'm active on (aside from Facebook, as my parents are on there and I'm not out to them and shit). NOT THAT Y'ALL CAN'T STILL CALL ME AZZY lol that's cool, but if you could refrain from calling me my birth name and call me Jaime instead, that would actually make my life. : D However, if you have me on Facebook, please don't call me Jaime on like public posts on my wall lmfao that will make for very awkward conversation with people who don't know about my gender.

I have my gender listed as male on there because there is no 'other' option (mind you, I usually have something in my interests area about my being genderqueer/not really male, people don't notice though apparently lol). There are a lot of really desperate, single girls on imvu who just really want MEN. So today I WAS A MAN AND I PICKED UP GIRLS ON IMVU. Well, actually I just accepted their friend requests and entered private chats with them, only to invite my friend, who would then pretend that she had no idea how she had gotten there.
And I would be like WOT MISCHIEF IS THIS. BEGONE, SCOUNDREL! and she would be like NOPE
and then we bought a pose thinger for our avatars to do The Time Warp so then we would do that while playing the Time Warp song and tell people it was our amazing dance and then they would bitch at us or kick us out

Posted 13 years agoI kind of miss my 360 sighs so since my mom's boyfriend's friend doesn't seem to be bringing it back anytime soon, does anybody know of any good PC games? Can be online or not. Preferably released before 2010, since my computer has a pretty good graphics card for a laptop, but I don't want to risk being unable to play my own games so...since I know that most games released in 2009/2010 which are fairly graphics heavy work fine on it (namely Left 4 Dead 2, which y'know, has hundreds of zombies running about and works perfect on my laptop <3).
I'm open to anything, but survival horror is my favourite genre.
Currently for PC I have:
- Sims 2
- Sims 3 (with Pets and Showtime expansion packs)
- Left 4 Dead 2 (which also has the maps from original L4D)
- Silent Hill 2
- Silent Hill 3
and a few emulators.
GIMME SOME GAMES BROS.
Oh and anything played online is cool (like straight from a browser), though my internet sucks balls I kind of like derping with my amigos in video games so that's chill.

I'm pretty chill with anything, but prefer original to fandom (unless it's related to like...Repo or Left 4 Dead or The Walking Dead or True Blood or something super open world and shit). I do not like roleplaying 'canon' characters, original characters ftw ok.
Aaaand I don't really care for MASS AMOUNTS OF SEX IN EVERY OTHER SCENE no. Just...no ok.
I don't mind if it pops up if the ~feeling is right~ but I don't want to rp with irritating horny teenagers who wants to roleplay just so their characters can have sex. That's not my thing; I don't write smut.
