Surgery/recovery progress:

I am currently on the 4.5 week / 8 weeks recovery period. Strength is returning so I am beginning to go back to normal working hours.
I currently have an infection (been 2 weeks now), but aside from muscle pain/scar tissue (and localized infection site), there is not much pain
anymore (just the general nerves/muscles re attaching discomfort). Still, typing (reaching) and arm movement is especially burdensome,
so while I would like to respond to PM's about my health individually. I will instead cover bases here.
I am fine, the worst part is over. There was complications during/right out of surgery due to an allergic reaction to anesthesia, but that time
has passed. Infection is not serious, and I am on anti biotics. Thanks to those who wished me well, I appreciate it.
If you sent PM's regarding commissions (or other topics), I will get to those in the following weeks. Focusing on current backlog/owed work.
For the last 2 clients from prior to surgery, thanks for your patience. I did not anticipate the complications and you can expect new WIPS and
finished works within the next week (that is my goal, give or take a few days.)

"Free art?!" you say enthusiastically, clambering to know more. I know, I know, don't rush. Apparently, I missed the 23k watcher mark.
Shame. So I did a little investigating, and it turns out I missed the 24k watcher mark as well. Better late than never, and so here we are.
Do be aware that my paying clients take priority. You (as a winner) may end up waiting a few months before seeing a WIP or finished
result. However, you will receive a fully rendered piece in the end, so I imagine that makes up for the wait. The winner will be listed with
the new batch of commissions opening, labeled "special order."

Recovery is 8 weeks, so most of September I will be resting (though I may work if I feel up to it.) I currently have a
couple orders left, but those are being worked on and are scheduled to be finished soon. Thus, this new batch will
not be started until sometime in October. From now until October I will be focused on the remaining clients and

I'll be opening 8 slots to help get some money for the upcoming holiday and some traveling I'll be doing.
These slots are the only slots from FA directly that I'll be taking for awhile. These pieces will be worked on
at the start of the new year (probably start mid Jan-mid Feb), as the remainder of this year I will be busy
completing other work amongst IRL plans I have.
POSSIBLE DELAY INFO:
There are possible delays in the future, which is largely why I've been quiet here (though I'm still pretty
active, albeit less talkative, with my discord patreon peers). Delays would be due to the declining health
of someone who I am caring for on and off (and have been since last March 2023, it's got worse), and I
don't care to share details on that publicly here yet; though for accepted clients, if the need arises, you
will be contacted and be informed of said delay. Your patience is appreciated during this very stressful
time for me.

CUSTOM SPECIES COMING SOON:
I mentioned some time ago I was working on a mushroom related species. This is very much still a thing, and will be coming publicly soon.
Species will be open, but that does not mean they lack unique qualities or design choices. There are very little specifics you "must adhere to"
to have one of your own, as my hope is that anyone who wants one can make one they truly enjoy without feeling like they have to jump
through hoops for a "rare quality."
GETTING COMMISSIONS FROM ME:
For years I have done most of my slots on FA (usually 10-20 at a time), but that will soon change. I have more contract work nowadays,
and honestly speaking it makes more sense for me as an artist and someone who is self employed, to focus on my contract work where the
income is not only increased, but guaranteed. Thus, I will not be opening slots here as often as I used to (which used to be on a 3 month interval,
prior to last year when all the emergency medical stuff was periodically going off.) That isn't to say I won't open slots here again, just that my
focus is turning to patreon and my contracted clients.
I will say that my patreon tier that offers discord has some benefits, one being that one person is guaranteed 1 discounted commission piece
from me a month. Those who enter the raffle system and don't win have their entry tallied and added to a document shared between me and my
moderator. No matter who enters, eventually you WILL win, but when that is remains uncertain. There is a "pity" win, where those who wait after
so many unrealized entries will win automatically.
For clarification:
-DO NOT JOIN THE DISCORD UNDER THE ASSUMPTION YOU WILL WIN "RIGHT AWAY."
(I've had people win right when they join, and I've had veteran supporters who've waited
6-12 months. It really is RNG. Being close to me does not change your odds.)
-DO NOT JOIN THE DISCORD IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD $20 A MONTH...
(As well as having to suffer the RNG. There is a reason we made it this way. We did not want a
huge server base full of chaos. Usually there is 30-45 people in there at any given time. These
are people who genuinely support me, and I appreciate them immensely (course I appreciate all
of my audience). If you want to join and feel like you're "losing out" because you haven't won
and you can't justify the price, then save yourself the realization and please spend that $20 on
something else.
Otherwise, the server is pretty lax. We are open minded, and there are a lot of little things that can help you as a new or veteran artist. Many of
us there are artists ourselves who work in various fields. We've cultivated a nice little "artsy homestead" complete with memes and animal videos.
Aside from that, there is not much else for me to say. I want to help people in their artistic endeavors, while also fulfilling my own personal
interests and learning new things for myself and my students. I want to start making art guides more regularly again. I want to work more closely
with my students again, and return to a routine schedule (ties back to me having to handle medical emergencies last year). There are a lot of
"I wants," this year and I plan to make it happen. Again, however, that means cutting my usual slot numbers here down. So, while the outcome may
not be desirable for everyone, I do think it will be better for everyone and myself in the long run.

Regarding PM's:

Over the past 4 weeks I've gotten a lot of notes (mostly regarding commissions, by what I can tell...)
and some from other sorts for other reasons. I've been incredibly busy the past few weeks, and
recently I had to assist (the same person as before) with another ICU emergency/visit over thanksgiving
weekend. It was rather, chaotic... I am glad I was able to return home when I did, despite the delays. My
PC has also been giving me issues, and after several friends/experts took a look at it we discovered it is probably
due to a faulty power supply. Strange, since the day I left it was fine, and was only behaving strangely
after my return. Though I have not gotten the new part yet, I will try to stream when I can, and hope
the PC doesn't shut itself off. Otherwise, if I am not around it is probably safe to assume the PC is at fault,
(I DO have an emergency laptop and tablet to use, but neither are equipped to stream) or something happened
with said person who's been having medical/mental issues since March. Unfortunately, I am the only one that
can usually assist with this, so my schedule this year has been torn to pieces.
Thus, I am not exactly in the mood to read all the PM's right now, unless they are noted to be an emergency.
If you are inquiring about commissions, I will get to you, but it's not a priority of mine right now. I still have
other owed works to finish, and I would feel loathsome to add more to the que at the current state of things.
Commissions would be notified days before opening, it is hard to miss. If you are from a studio, please label
your inquiry as such. If you don't fit into either of these, then I will get back to you when I can. If you just want
to socialize, then the best place to do so is when I am streaming, but my replies may be late. I respond better to
questions directed at me when I work, rather than saying things with no clear person in mind. The art zone is a
hypnotic place.
I apologize, but when I say I am busy, I mean I am exceptionally busy online and in IRL, even with things out
of my control. I just don't have it in me to read everything all at once while juggling various projects and deadlines.
It is nothing personal, it is entirely me. I'm an introvert, and seeing bulk (especially during these tiring times for me)
makes the hermit in me want to crawl away. I'm very tired, ha-ha...

General | Posted 2 years agoDealing with a family emergency. Scenario started Saturday evening. Due to the severity of what is going on, I have largely been offline on all socials. I try to work when I'm back at "home base" from the hospital, but my motivation isn't what it usually is. I'm very busy, tired, and stressed. I apologize if my grammar and how I form messages is not as colorful as usual. I get little sleep, and eating has become more of a chore. I don't want to talk details or specifics.
To my clients, please be patient while I go through this time. It was essentially a freak accident so it came entirely unexpected. I will not be checking FA or my socials often, if at all. I expect this problem will not be resolved quickly. This is a "critically stable" sort of issue.
To avoid rambling, I'll just say I'll likely be gone 1-2 more weeks. Drive back home to get things and then drive back here (yes, I'm out of state.) This is a "someone has to be here at all times" sort of thing. I've been the lead person here. I have to be here.
Just keeping my clients and anyone who wishes to reach me informed. If I don't answer your inquiries, understand it's because I'm busy and it's not personal nor are you being ignored. I'm sorry that commissions are/may get worked on slowly.

UPDATE: 7/1/23: Got my own place on 15 acres of land. Been busy moving things from one town to the other (it's a 60 minute round trip)

They will be sold together as a set, and must remain together in the event they are resold.
Mulling over the idea of making a mushroom species because I am an avid mushroom forager,
and the possibilities of mushroom types are expansive. So perhaps more will come in the future.
Other adopts will come eventually, at the request of my discord patrons. I was already asked to make
a snow owl, which sounds fun in itself.
Designs will be fully rendered with bio boxes and other details. Buyers will also
recieve the flat files to distribute to artist's.
