So... here's an update I must provide now because it's serious.

Last Monday, my iPhone decided to completely crap out. This wouldn't be so bad... but because I use 2FA on Discord via Google Authenticator, I am currently totally locked out of my accounts. Now I could rage about this for multiple reasons (but if you're really dying to know about why, you'll have to DM me because I'm not going to rage here), but the main thing I must inform everyone about is, until I get this resolved, I cannot use Discord at all. And that's even if this can be resolved. I've exhausted a bunch of things so far, including tracking down my backup codes (which it turns out are invalid and they never bothered to ask me to download the most up to date codes but I'm not going into that further because again, DM me if you really want to know why I'm raging about this), and now my only option is to put my iPhone in for repair (if they'll accept Affirm because I don't have $550 just sitting in my pocket for such an occasion...) and hope that when it's restored it still has my Google Authenticator intact...

But even though I'm fighting this as well as I can, I really have to face the possibility that I might have to start a new Discord... I'm going to be very upset if I have to because there's quite a few people I keep contact with there. If you have contact with me and you come across this, please reach out to me as soon as possible either via DM or you can use my Telegram, too. I'm going to be in contact with quite a few people shortly to let them know about this situation.

Anyway, yeah... I've hit a rough patch that's mainly a result of moving troubles (mainly with it being expensive AF, but that's beside the point). I'm gonna hope I can move past this, hope for the best and possibly expect the worst, and get back in the groove.

Actually, I have to throw this in there because it's also relevant to barriers to my comeback: my desktop is pretty much dead. It turned off one day before I moved states and it never turned back on ever again. Like, it does absolutely nothing when I press the power button. And using a test with my power supply, I can confirm that the motherboard is pretty much dead. I'm not sure I can track down another motherboard exactly like it, nor would I really want to because at this point it's past its prime. Best I can do is hope I can part it out or something and recoup a bit of money from it, but that'll be another story. I'll just have to wait until I can get another desktop or something because my laptop isn't 100% ideal for making art (mainly due to quirks with how CSP decides to address tablet controls). So until then, get used to my Note8 artworks because I can at least work on them while I'm on break at my job.

Also, if anyone has been wondering where I went, I did a lot of change-ups to my situation recently. I'm now residing elsewhere in a completely new line of work. I have to thank my buddy  blackenedvulpine for helping me make these changes (by providing me somewhere to stay for the time being) because I'm moving on to a new chapter and I can safely say I'm feeling a lot better now than I was the last 7 years. It's still a transition but, like I said, I'm happy that I finally made it happen and things are looking up.

Well, of course, it's the situation, but that's not why I've kinda put art on hold for the moment. It's mostly because I've been focusing on other stuff at the moment with all the free time I suddenly have. I'm still planning to draw more as of course that's what I do, but for now, just stay safe out there.

Well, I got me a new computer! It's a mighty powerful thing, it is. It's got:

That's right, there's no OS installed. I'm still trying to obtain an OS for it. (A sealed copy of Windows 7 is astonishingly hard to track down, and yes I know I can put Windows 10 on it, but a) I'm waiting to put that on an SSD, and b) Don't Tell Me What To Do!)

Spending 5.5 hours inking in a picture digitally makes you think.

No, but really, for those able to view the latest WIP I just posted, the purpose was to see if I could really slow down and draw. And honestly, I think you can tell when I'm distressed by the quality, or lack thereof.

One of the things honestly stunting my artwork is stuff is getting in the way (work, answering all my messages, RL stuff, etc.). I gotta think of somehow to manage that. I know I keep saying that, but really, the only way I'm gonna grow as an artist is if I work on it. So, what shall I do with all the stuff I drew up and have yet to post?

For my main gallery, I need to produce better quality stuff. And the way I intend to do it is through digital media. Whether I sketch it first and then ink it in digitally, or draw the picture completely from digital, that is the way I must go to produce what will be the best quality content you can expect from me. But of course, one of the things I always hit a snag on is this:
What do I draw?

The problem is my mind is like others: my mind produces ideas much faster than my hands can reproduce them. As a result, I can't accurately decide what to draw, hence the rather sporadic patterns you see from me sometimes. I have a solution: use the polls. Similar to how people use polls to decide new stuff, what I will do with the polls is narrow my ideas down to concise statements, list them, and let the people decide what I should proceed with the most. Of course, none of it's set in stone, but it will provide a better method to the madness.

As for how fast I produce content, I really should limit myself to one fully complete picture either every week or every other week. The reason is I can't predict when stuff will occupy me or I'll have to deal with stuff that needs immediate attention. But whatever may come, I must address it as I can and remember to remind myself not to get discouraged.

Which brings me to one of the big deterrents to progress: discouragement. Read the first sentence in this journal again. That alone would've made me give up trying to progress on a bad day. I realize how bad my sketching is because it may look fine, but when you apply the "horizontal flip" and a grid, I find everything is un-level and more askew than a tangled bunch of k-nex. Obviously, the way to combat this would be to use tools. I have a compass and a ruler I can use, so I should definitely be using them... for the proper pics, at least. For the doodles, those are meant to be haphazard, so I should let myself run free with those the greatest extent I can.

So, are you going to see less from me? Honestly, no. I still keep content fresh somehow, whether it's scheduled posts or occasional signs of life in the form of polls or journals. And I don't think I'm going to give up drawing pokémon anytime soon, but one thing I will definitely do is delve not only into other series, but my own original concepts.

So, in conclusion, expect new stuff, but I'm working to make it better so that people seeing it don't just see some kid doodling. They'll see some kid doodling and producing good stuff. And, I don't know why I'm calling myself a kid, but honestly, even at 21, I still feel like a kid. Funny how that works.

Well, seeing as I live in a country of legendarily bad decisions, why should I care about art anymore? New content whenever, I don't know. I don't care. I no longer need a reason to care for anything. Here's to becoming a voluntary shut-in for the rest of my life. さようなら、マダーファッカー。

I don't know what to do with my tumblr, honestly. The darn thing to me feels pretty difficult to update because things move so fast there. Also, I've been actively avoiding tumblr as it's essentially a repository for world issues and my sanity saps away at a similar rate as when I'm watching ___ News. Also, I feel like people here most likely don't care for tumblr as DA seems to be where it's at... or something. So here's one of three things I'm thinking to do:
- Keep it up (both pages)
The least likely, as I don't believe anyone cares if I'm clean or not. If you're under 18, I apologize.
- Keep only one up (essentially make it NSFW like the other pages I have)
Transfer over everything from my 18+ tumblr (datfmcobalion18) and essentially make my main one the 18+ tumblr. Again, I think at this point I'm not sure if anyone cares, but again, if you're under 18, I apologize and suggest you keep it tuned in to DA (unless you know how to use tag blockers correctly).
- Forget about it completely
Just remove all my content from tumblr and keep it up only to keep contact with those who are only on tumblr.

So, any thoughts on this? If I don't get a single comment, I'll most likely go with either option 2 or 3. I don't know about you, but that's most likely since tumblr has always been too weird for me to use, and this is coming from someone who's spent 5 years more on DA than tumblr, so it kinda makes sense.

Once again, I apologize if I'm not updating anywhere near as much as I am on DA.　Anyway, I want to tell you all month I've been on a journey to draw each and every day in October. Well, for November, I wanna draw every day as well... but you know, lewd... because we need more lewds always. And, for those asking me about requests, it just might be your chance to get a suggestion in (but before you get eager, just know only character/species suggestions; you won't necessarily get to suggest what they're doing).
