Good Cat Cat Caturday / and A roar of resurgence!
General | Posted 6 years agoGreetings and many many Caturday Roarning RAWRs to everyone! Hope the springs been going well so far! Tho to me summer started many weeks ago because it sure as heck feels like it haha xD
I know itās been furrever since making a journal, but figured Iād make a real quick update about things to look forward to in the short term. Just about to start spinning up round here, getting ready to let the lion loose again and I can assure you Dexter is very much excited to return for tons of adventures, beach fun and lots of other cool stuff! :D Itāll take a bit to get everything up to full throttle again, but thatās what Iām aiming for, and Iāll figure a way to make it work despite a busy May and June.
I really want to extend a big thanks to all the new watchers and all the comments that I didnāt respond to during this long semi-hiatus, and I very much apologize for the big slow down in responses for so long, the slow down in activity as well. Made the mistake of losing sight of what the purpose was for the silly yet strong hearted lion. In short to spread positivity, peace, love, kindness and all that jazz, and hopefully inspire something good, inspire brightness in a way as it was inspired in me thanks to a very special friend to me...but I turned a different direction; to expressing myself through the lion and other means in art to fight back against my own tough stretch. To withstand a storm in my life that everyone goes through at one point or another. But the lion is not about me, at all, never was supposed to be. More so supposed to be FOR others, and I want to return to that. So I ask for your forgiveness in that regard as I turn the page in a way, moving back to making this section of FA a fun and enjoyable zone!
I did pass the 500 watchers mark a long while ago and am coming up on the 1k mark, and Iām very much thankful for all the support. Yes I plan to show my thanks by giving back, thinking 2-3 maybe 4 raffles for the milestones and to interact more, but not sure when theyāll be. Need to get back in the proper flow of things first. Although Iāll be looking into other ideas to show my appreciation as well.
Also quick note, heh not really sure if itās accurate to say Iāll be more active on Twitter, but I can say itāll be a different mix. So feel free to follow along there too if ya like.
Anywho and most importantly, have a fun, safe and super relaxing weekend =D ...also paws off the yarn ball stash or Iāll toss ya to the moon >:3

Have an Outstanding Summer!
General | Posted 7 years agoHowdy everyone! Fantastic Friday RAWRS to ya!
Have a great week? I sure as heck hope so! Especially with summer arriving and all. The season to really get out, enjoy the outdoors, and do a bunch of cool stuffs...like yarn ball stealin*ahem*borrowing. Iām sure many of you already have all sorts of cool adventures planned, like heading to the beach or visiting friends, family and all that jazz. But itās ok if there isnāt anything just yet, thereās tons of time to try and do something. No need to rush as summerās just as much about finding time to relax, so might as well ease on though for the time being.
Anyways, hope itās an awesome summer for everyone and that you all have fun! But MOST importantly, have a safe summer!
Wishing you all a great weekend =)

Roarin Fridays!!!
General | Posted 7 years agoRAWRS!!! Happy Friday to you all! Hope itās been a great week for ya, and that your weekend is even better!
Heheh werkity werkz weekend for me, but sāall good. Ill find some time to relax at one point or another. Might just do some gaming. Been playing a lot of Ace Combat 6 lately and itās so much fun. Just doesnāt get old to me. Also might play a bit of NCAA14! Football season may be over but the gators can still keep on chompin *shudders* 4-7 x.X
Also may head out to enjoy the weather because it sure does look beautiful out, but depends on when I get off. Hah and I would say the whole āitās starting to feel like springā thing, but thereās already been quite a few days in the 80s throughout the winter, most around the 70s...which is good for this cat, me no likey the cold.
Anywho, what might yāall fluffs, scalies, birbs, etc... be up to this weekend? Any adventures? Relaxin like a cat? ...mischief? >.> If the latter is the case, a feline just might join you >=3
Oh oh, one more thing...thought I might throw some of these in as well :)
1. "No matter how many times you fall, you shall always rise again. Ready to keep blazing through the path forward, just as the sun pierces the darkness to start every new day." āPersonal words from 2017 Week 22
2. "We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop." - Mother Teresa
3. "Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don't give up." - Anne Lamott
4. "I marvel at the potential of people working together as opposed to the wasted effort of working against each other. United we help overcome each other's weaknesses and combine our unique individual strengths to achieve the unthinkable. Near/Mid-term stuffses
General | Posted 8 years agoOk so, I was hoping to get back into posting art and interacting more around FA and the fandom come the start of this new year. But the motivation to do so, coming up with creative descriptions and stories to hopefully brighten your day, along with reaching out more, is just a bit off...like feel a bit distant and quite hesitant. If that makes sense..probably doesnāt but anyways
These last 3 months have been quite the emotional roller coaster over something that really shouldnāt be causing as much trouble as it is, but it just has and am having enormous difficult pushing through. This something has been derailing my focus a ton as I try to come to terms with it, and understand things about myself. Now more than ever I need to be focused and locked in with a continuously evolving/complex work situation, thatās been a roller coaster within itself. Conflicts between my unit and higher-ranking officers has everyone on edge, is directly effecting the ATC part of the job and...ya get the point. Every workplace has its own quirks tho and we all manage them in our own unique way. I actually like the challenges of getting around these quirks, just for me that āsomethingā, combined with other stuff here and there has been causing enormous stress and itās been quite the aerial dogfight to stay focused on whatās important and be on the āAā game in general.
Heh but Iām not posting this journal as a depressing or doom and gloom journal or anything like that. Yes this past few months has been particularly hard for me but I know Iāll get through it eventually. Just some of the ebbs and flows we experience along our paths. Just wanting to put out there some of the reason why I might seem a bit distant and slowing down despite the backlog of finished art and neat ideas that Id love to get commissioned...like broomstick adventures :3
As of now Iām thinking of and likely will put just about everything on hold for a while, as Iād like to focus on a different theme of art...kind of. Idk how exactly to describe it. uhmmm like the opposite of vent art I guess, taking what Iāve felt on the inside and turn it into something beautiful/encouraging. May post a bit of the wonderful art I havenāt posted yet, before the shift.
Iāll most definitely be around on telegram and here on FA, but felt I needed to explain why it can take a while to respond. I like to poke fellow furs here and there but have been a bit behind getting back to others and it always makes me feel terrible to respond slowly. I want it to be like an open door or whatever where others feel welcome to chat about whatever theyād like whenever.
No worries though, I shall join you wonderful folks āRoarin and Soarinā high in the skies soon enough!
Oh yeah one last thing :D ....No championship for you Clemson Bwahahaha!!! >=3

Wonderful Holidays Everyone
General | Posted 8 years agoPhenomenal Friday all! Wanting to shout everyone a happy holiday RAWR and wish a happy New Years to ya! My goodness what a crazy year itās been full of highs and lows, with plenty of twists and turns. But here we are closing in on the finish line once again. I want each and everyone of you to have a relaxing and joyous, but most of all safe holidays. With all the hard work thatās been put in so far, itās about that time to ease off the throttles and bring 2017 in for as smooth a landing as possible. Everyone deserves and needs some time to let the body and mind get some rest...(lol even if Iām too stubborn to admit that at times) But on the tail end of a long year itās certainly has its importance.
I also want to say that I am and always will be extremely grateful to have had the chance to make so many friends in the fandom. Itās been one heck of a fun experience interacting with the wide range of unique and fun personalities around here and look forward to continuing to do so in the future. I know Iāve been somewhat less active around here lately and a heck of a lot slower on telegram. Been quite out of focus lately when I sure as hell needed to be...hah not necessarily the best combination, but moving on X3 Anywho Iām hoping to turn this around over the next few months as I do care for ya and hate being distant as well as taking so long to respond.
May each and everyone of you have a very strong start to this new year incoming and be sure to keep putting your best foot forward no matter what!
Oh yeah one last thing. I sure as heck hope youāve all been good guys and gals this year! If not, coal is going to be the least of your worries! Youāre gonna get lion thunder snuggles >=3
Heh now if youāll excuse me, I have to continue epic preparations for Christmas Eve. Letās just say itās going to be a LONG flight that night ;3

*RAWRS* Happy Thanksgiving All
General | Posted 8 years agoWishing everyone out there a Happy Thanksgiving or other celebrated holiday. Very much grateful to experience the grand sun shining high in the skies everyday, and it will always do so no matter what; never forget that. Unbelievably thankful to have met so many wonderful furs over the course of the year around here on FA and those Iām bound to have the great opportunity to get to know eventually. I canāt say enough how wonderful of an experience it has been to interact with the diverse array of colorful personalities. Hopefully will be able to do so in person at some point. Please please please be safe everyone on your travels and hope for you all to have fulfilling and memorable moments with friends, family and those close to ya.
Now if youāll excuse me, lions gotta go chase a turkey >=3 ...*cough cough* heh for cuddles of course :3 No turkeys were harmed :P

General | Posted 8 years agoAlrighty everyone here we go, just 8 weeks left and 2017 will officially be in the books. Tons of experiences already logged, some great and some quite the opposite. But all of em worthwhile being able to look back and laugh, cry, smile upon, or learn something from; ultimately continuing to shape us as we go. So many times we've approached seemingly insurmountable challenges, not having a clue how to make it through. But here we are, further down the line and well passed those brick walls. We all have our own set of accomplishments from this year to be proud of.
However it's certainly not over. Still a full 8 weeks to go and can't ease off the throttle too much. Gotta find or maintain the energy to keep those engines running for a strong finish. Still have a fair amount of work to do and plenty of unfinished business. But we'll get through, dig deep if ya have to. I know each and everyone of you can and will cross that finish line. Let's also not ever forget the strength in unity, as together we shall press forward and excel in 2018 and beyond. Don't hesitate to take a moment when you have a chance to make sure your friends are ok and be willing to extend a paw to help em through when they're down. Never ever leave anyone behind!
Heh of course after 8 weeks will mark the end of a year, but considering how much goes on in each and every one, it's most def a worthy milestone to celebrate as we continue on our journeys.
Let's go Keep it up! ROARIN & SOARIN!!!

Never forget we're all in this together
General | Posted 8 years agoEach and every life holds significant value, no matter the differences both big and small. It is our differences that gives each of us our own unique strengths. Strengths that can be used for the betterment of everyone, not anything to be feared, hated, or shunned.
We are clearly moving through very trying times, just as those who've come before us have endured the trials of their era, albeit in various forms. It seems that with each passing day, more and more troubling news, terrible events, and disagreements continue to pour out into the open. Making the world seem increasingly like a hostile place where we look upon each other with cold suspicious stares, rather than welcoming each other with open arms. Through peace and love, uniting as a society and being there for one another, we can begin to find and implement real solutions to getting back on track and moving this world in a positive direction. As well settling down the increasing turbulence that rocks each and everyone of us making our journeys through life.
I'm not posting this solely in light of recent events as everyday and throughout history people are victims of Bigotry, bullying, intolerance, racism, sexism, prejudice and many more. None of which can do anything to build society up, but rather continuously degrade society's ability to resist pressure and erode it's potential to accomplish amazing things.
Each day focused on attacking differences, is another day wasted that we could've made efforts to advance to bigger and better things.

Level Up, Moving on 24 (B-Day Journal)
General | Posted 8 years ago23rd year drawing to a close, moving on to number 24. Has been quite an eventful year that's for sure with many significant events, changes and firsts.
I'd have to say that some of the biggest would be the adoption of a completely new mindset in regards to life and how to go about moving through it. Going from being a watcher within the furry community to becoming somewhat of an active member which has given me the wonderful opportunity to get to know so many awesome furs and friends. Began flying lessons (start to realizing my dreams). Extended my enlistment in the Air Force for 6 more years, and making good progress as I'm almost finished with tower watch supervisor training. Those just to name a few.
But of course I can't help but look back and dwell on a range of things that I wish I could go back and change or do better. What sticks out to me the most is that in many ways I feel that I have fallen way short of the bar in being helpful to others and making a positive impact in society. Also wanted to be somewhat further along in flight training than I am as well. And of course there are others too. But no need to get bogged down in the mud over what could've been. What's already happened has happened and life goes on. All you really can do is put forth your best effort to achieving your goals, and learn from mistakes.
I don't really expect as many changes to occur in this upcoming year, rather to build off of a stronger foundation and making use of the cards I've been dealt. But who really knows what will happen.
And of course I couldn't conclude without saying that it's been an absolute pleasure getting to know you all these past 6-7 months. So many awesome fellow furs that I very much enjoy interacting with and hope you'll stick around in the year to come. Plenty of adventures around the corner.
What grand adventures do I plan to embark on for my birthday? Not a gosh darn thing...
