I had a great time at JackalCon 2009!

There were a lot of great activities that went on, that's for sure.

A special thanks to Amran who was the fursuitting guest of honor. He really looked amazing.

JackalCon '09 can be summed up in the following:

- Bunnies licking inflatable reindeer assholes.
- Dry humping beachballs
- The travel velocity of cats (60mph from a 5 story building by the way)
- Baking Cookies
- Amran covered in flour
- Talking to each other on MSN while beside each other and pretending neither one of us was at the same event.
- Getting bitch slapped by a member of your own species

Nothing much to actually update I guess. I hope everyone is doing well and is happy.

I'm excited for Soba Bowl on the 14th, which I'll be attending with Dezu (with no sleep as well XD). And for the Yap and Draw on the 21st! I'll be sitting in my corner with my sketchbook no doubt. Feel free to ask for a doodle (or a commission?).

Hey people who read this XD

I just wanted to say that I had an amazing time at the Yap and Draw. When I was on the way there I was extremely nervous, even though I had Amran and Lightstep with me. That really helped me out though. But... I went in feeling really nervous and came out with a couple of new friends which is completely awesome.

I'm usually not very outgoing at first but everyone was really nice. The badge that Lightstep made me really helped out too. And even though I'm not used to being called Dhani in person, it was awesome too :3 I just felt like I could be myself, which is rare for me.

It put a lot of things in perspective about the fandom. Sure, there's the creeps online who ask to see my tits and want to date me after one IM conversation but then there's the others who are legitimately open, caring and want to share their little bit of the fandom with you. After 7 years of vowing not to get involved in the IRL part of the furry fandom because of past horrible experiences with it, I've finally decided to take my first tentative steps into it. I could end up making some really good friends and finally have a chance to stretch my legs.

So, I just wanted to thank Raptor Red for inviting me and also the new friends I made for being willing to talk to the shy jackal sitting in the corner with a sketchbook. <3

I'm doing free artwork because I need practice. I know I'm not amazing or anything but if you want to volunteer to have yourself drawn, I'd be happy to do it :3

I'll even mail the originals to people as soon as I take a picture of them. If you scan them after you get them and send them to me I'd appreciate it even more. It sucks using a digital camera to post stuff but *shrugs*

Hello~

I was making a birthday card at work for Anthony (he gets even older on Monday. Maybe I'll get even more wise fatherly advice from him. I guess that's why I call him Daddy XD) and I came to the realization that I only work really hard on artwork that isn't for a special occasion. The birthday card is pretty sketchy and the coloring isn't too spectacular (even though the person who it's for is totally awesome and a good friend).

It was just a weird thought.

I guess I only do well on sporadic gifts. Maybe because my artwork pales in comparison to the presents/secks/love that a person gets during a holiday.

Anyway...

This is my first journal entry but I'm pretty excited about it. I randomly got sent to FA by another fur I had on my MSN list. Actually, the first person link he gave me was to Lightstep's profile. Then I fell in love with her work and then with Fur Affinity.

I think I might stay here *nodnod*

Actually, I'm more of a writer than an artist and I have a bunch of furry-themed stories/poems lying around that I should type up and throw on here. Artwork will come when I get something to post it with. Except for old stuff. Apparently I used to have an Elfwood account that I've long since forgotten about. So I have art from there <.<

Anyway, I'm going to look into getting a scanner on Thursday when I get paid if the man will bring me there.

Speaking of the man, I'm slowly turning Ryan into a furry as well. A black and burgandy skunk to be exact. A cute one. With... yiff. <.<
