I've been looking at this account with a critical eye. It is one of the few that has not be made in line with my normal artist pen name (firecatrich) and I've been considering what is to be done with that. It isn't necessarily a problem although I'd like my web presence to be consistent across all portals. As far as I know you cannot change your username here on FA. I could do something drastic like contacting staff to deactivate/delete account and make one with the proper username. I've just been trying to think of options.

I know all you smart people out there on the interwebs have probably thought of solutions I haven't so I thought I'd ask you. What do you think of this issue and did you think of any solutions I didn't?

This is just a general life/work update. My first program finishes in approximately three weeks. I'm getting all my final projects worked out and ready for printing. I start my second program in September, but that means I have a few weeks off to make sure everything is just so before it starts. I've managed to hack away at my commission list and I believe there is only one outstanding piece to be finished this weekend. The give away pin ups are the next in line after the class/paid work is finished.

In the mean time I'm also drafting a short comic to be finished and posted by Aug 30th for the KH-R group. Evanya and Heart will have their first pages together. I'm rather excited but its been a long time since I drafted a proper comic. We'll see how that works out.

I will be on the hunt for art trades and sketch gifts to do in my down time and keep my blogs updated. The situation on Tumblr has me pretty grumbly. I don't approve of heavy handed censorship. Its user choice of content in my opinion. I'll keep you all updated on any new gallery/blog choices I make in the relatively near future.

Hope you all had a great holiday! I know mine was a lot busier than I had originally anticipated. I've been trying to get everything up to date and had some moderate success with my pair of tumblrs. Winter folio is still on, although the time line has been drastically revised with all the commission work coming in. I've been considering using gumrod or some other similar service and moving the folio more towards paid work. It would not be terribly expensive (I was thinking something in the bally park of $10-20 USD for the 15 or so finished pieces with the lines/sketches all in one big pack). As my time gets more an more consumed with paid work its harder to really justify some of the free projects with as much time as actually gets sunk into them.

The second option I was considering was reducing the time sink of the free folios. Either less polished (i.e. sketchs, flat colors or something) or just few finish pieces in total.

The third option was auctioning slots in a folio for a collection of themed pieces with other people's characters.

All viable options but I'm just milling them over as the school year approaches. Let me know what you think and hope you all have a great year!

Hey everyone!

I'm still around. I've been working away on my annual adults only winter folio for my Y! gallery account (http://yaoi.y-gallery.net/user/dhavalanflame/ ). The theme this year might be of interest to the furry community here though! I personally don't think you can go wrong with bondage and bulls, thus the title "Bonded Bovine."

For those of you that aren't familiar with Y! (yaoi gallery) it is an all male gallery and I've had an account there for a number of years now. I think my first post there was in 2007? At any rate, I have a yearly Christmas gift for all my supporters. Its 12-25 pieces of themed goodies and a lot of the naked boys to say thanks for everyone that watches/comments/favorites/ and commissions me. Its also to help bring in some new viewers.

That all being the case I might post some of preview shots up here on FA but I haven't decided if I'll actually be posting the folio here. It has typically been an exclusive set for my Y! gallery account.

Hello everyone! Its been a little while since I opened up a commission slot it seems.

Cost: $60 USD

Up to two characters in full digital glory with a simple background. The finished pieces will be emailed to the customer upon completion. Average turn around for a commission piece is between one and two weeks depending on number of characters and detailing. Pieces can range from rated G up to adult work (XXX).

One preliminary sketch will be provided to the buyer for corrections. 24 hours will be allowed for buyer to make any noted corrections before work on the finished piece is started.

I am generally very open as to the theme of the pieces although I will not draw guro, vore, watersports, cub, or scat. If you have any questions feel free to contact me!

I've actually opened the request barrel on my other galleries before and it really is a lot of fun for me so I think I'll open it here as well.

What is a request barrel?
The request barrel is where anyone can leave me a comment with their request. Tossing it into the barrel so to speak assigns the request a number. How many can I put in the barrel?
Everyone gets one free request to toss into the barrel. After that each request is $1 USD (through paypal). You can also pay $1 to add a second number to your request to increase the likelihood of it coming up sooner. Hello everyone! I usually don't post journals here but I suppose this directly effects this gallery as much as my Y! galley.
Usually this time of year I have a lot of commissions coming in for x-mas cards and such that for the most part pour in from my DA account contacts, but since I don't this year I think I'll do an x-mas project! Now... would you all rather get a really big image upload at x-mas or have one a week or so till Christmas?

It will be 12 images either way and I will do my very best to have it finished my Christmas day (25 of December) but if the worst happens I will post all that is finished and then what ever is left over from it as quickly as possible after that. This is an appreciation folio for everyone that watches and supports me and I wouldn't feel right if they weren't the best quality I can produce.

This being the case I really would like to hear what all of you would like as the form which this project is posted. One big bow wrapped heap on x-mas day or something to help you along leading up to the holiday season? Drop me a line. This is for you! =D
