Just a heads up! You may be getting some arts!
General | Posted 13 years agoSo it turns out the situation I'm in isn't really the best of ones. I have to get an apartment for over the summer, for about four months, while also paying for college books, transportation, and other such things. Now i know you would say, stop commissioning, and I have, but it just won't be enough. So me and my super awesome amazing weird hair styled boyfriend have decided that we don't really have any other option but to open up donations in the form of commissions.
Basically, my boyfriend is an artist, a damn good one at that and i'm so proud of him for it, and he is offering basically to draw you guys art for money. That money would be sent to me to help us put money towards the apartment, seeing as how he is hopefully going to live with me over the summer. ^.^ As much as I don't want him to do this because I hate having to give him stuff he would be forced to do, he wants to do this and we don't really see any other option.
So keep an eye out this weekend! We may be opening up commissions in the form of donations with a good amount of slots. Prices that we have figured out so far ranges from about 5 to 10 dollars for sketches. 15 to 25 dollars on colored things depending on what they are and how complex they will be. We may open about 5 to 10 slots depending on how much people are interested initially, but we may even open more slots in the future!
But I need to ask you guys this, how much would you pay for my boyfriend
mkvero's work? Payment would be coming before the art is received, but really what would you pay for it? And would you commission him? Please let us know!
Anyway thank you for your time!

Want to try to get free stuff from Bing Rewards?
General | Posted 13 years agoBasically
dragoneer showed me this and so far it's awesome. I hate using bing, however the chance to get 1600 free microsoft points without any trouble at all? All you need to do it go to bing rewards through this link down here.
http://www.bing.com/explore/rewards?PUBL=REFERAFRIEND&CREA=RAW&rrid=_acc997ac-2bcc-200d-d04d-610f469cc816
I've already redeemed some microsoft points for my xbox and im well on my way to getting some dlc for skyrim, mass effect, and various other games! :D I can't wait to see how this turns out! I might tend to use bing if im going shopping or something. The site seems to be built more towards shopping then actual searching, but i see it's advantages. However, i also still see the benefits in using google! :D So check it out! :D

Artist of the Week #2
General | Posted 13 years agoI know i may be a bit late on this whole thing by about a half a week, but who cares! :D I can do whatever I want with these things! Now then, let us get on with this!
Artist of the week #2 is
sixsydes An amazing person who I consider a friend, he's a great artist who is constantly learning how to draw awesome and beautiful males. He often does his work in a sort of grayscale manner while also showing some color in his work. It's an interesting technique that I think should be seen more!
A couple examples of his work are:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9918312/ showing that he can anthropomorphize pokemon and still make them look sexy.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10161413/ for something that is dynamic and awesome!
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8645069/ to show that there are lots of teasing opportunities!
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9880692/ look! There are even safe for work pictures that are adorable!
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9266729/ clothing doesnt seem to be a problem! Oh and look at that color! :D
Please do go check him out, he regularly opens up pay what you want commissions that are amazingly awesome! :D I just can't wait to see what happens with this next batch :D Also please try to at least commission him! He's an awesome and amazing friend.

Artist of the Week #1
General | Posted 13 years agoSo I decided to start this silly thing, because I have a number of active watchers, and people who are probably in need of commissions. They are also great people who do everything to make people smile for a short time, if not for a long time. I might end up doing this weekly if I feel like it. But because of mid-terms, I may not be able to get the next one up next week. We shall see.
So first up we have
otterbits An amazing friend and artist who strives to continue to perfect himself while also having loads of fun at the same time. He's wonderful to talk to and just a wonderful person in general.
A couple examples of his work are:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10082053/ his newest piece that has tons of experimental shading.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9162937/ for wonderful smiles
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9748569/ for some wonderful anatomy
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10033120/ for something adultlike
Trust me, for my first artist of the week thing, i wanted to put up a ton of people, but i dont have the time for such a thing, so next week if I can, you will see what happens. But I believe I am doing this to help people who are in need. If you wish to commission Otterbits, do so :3 But please spread the word about him. :3
Anyway I hope each and every one of you has a wonderful day!

So apparently... I'm near 10 k views... Wanna do something?
General | Posted 13 years agoMy views are close to 10k. I only became active last year, so... What do you think I should do? I'm strapped for cash, so i wont be able to offer any raffles, unless I can work something up. So what do you think I should do? I have a ton of art, or maybe I can talk about things, or maybe um... I dunno really. I never thought I would get to 10k views by now... Its crazy XD SO yeah... Im not sure what to do...
Honestly, I dont care about the move to Weasyl... but!
General | Posted 13 years agoEveryone who is leaving because of the whole drama thing is just shooting themselves in the foot, and please do not take offense to that... Even artists. Artists here already have a reliable source of income, commissioners who upload their work after the fact they are completed help out the artists, which leads to more advertising, and in turn creates a constant source of income. Weasyl is not a place for commissioners, it says that in the ToS that commissioners can only upload the art they have commissioned into a folder called, collections, which is not searchable, which is out of the way when on the profile page and also makes users like me seem discriminated against.
For those of you asking, yes I have a weasyl, same username. I joined back in July of last year, I have tried using the site numerous times and every time I am unsure of what I can submit and what I can't. All I see is the site is supposed to be for artists, not for commissioners. This in turn destroys revenue for artists because commissioners are allowed to post the artwork they receive at any time they want, allowing for artists to gain advertising without the need of FA's advertisements. For example, I posted a work from Endenden and the artist gained about 20 to 25 watchers because of that plus revenue. If Weasyl doesn't allow that, I am not joining in on the bandwagon.
Furaffinity is a site where i have gained more friends than I have ever had in most of my life. Sure there were my childhood friends, middle and high school and college friends, but I found people who would never leave my side, as I for them. Furaffinity is a site where the community is thriving, maybe we have our ups and downs, and maybe the admins make bad decisions, like the most recent one. I will let you know I do not condone the way the admins took care of the situation initially, but in the end they did their job, which is helping people in the community who need help.
This move to Weasyl is like a meme on reddit, one day everyone finds a new meme, uses it immensely, and then everyone get's tired of it. They go back to what they were doing a week before. This new fad will pass, while FA's numbers will be slightly smaller, people will realize what Weasyl is doing to commissioners like myself, but if they do change their policy on the "Collections" then I'll start posting there too. No I am not going to abandon FA, but I have had my fair share of annoyances with site speed and trying to manage journals and submissions. However, when FA does get to the point where the site is in trouble of failing, I will abandon ship, but that may be a long time from now.
For now I'm going to sit back and wait for everyone to return, seeing as how FA is a site filled with revenue while Weasyl just recently opened up and doesnt show much profit. Weasyl sorta discriminates against commissioners which doesnt allow commissioners to show their sona's. So I'll wait, let me know what you think of what I said below, I would like to hear what you have to say and what you think. Also I want you to discuss below what you think. Thank you for your time.

I have something I want to upload, but I dunno i
General | Posted 13 years agoDon't worry, it's nothing bad or anything. But I'm sure you know something bad happened to me recently that has left me upset, and it still sort of hurts. I still don't want to say it because I don't want anyone to get harmed or hurt because of me revealing said information. However, this piece of work is a bit... different from my usual happy-go-lucky, somewhat mischievous, and well... all around niceness. Basically for those of you who don't know, something bad happened and I was basically left alone, but it turned out you guys are amazing people and I thank you for that. However, a friend of mine drew me something, something that I think is an utterly fantastic piece of art, but a collection of my feelings from this event that just happened. It's a little different, and I dunno what you would think. Should I go ahead with it?
Also I may not be able to submit it until later on tonight or early this coming week, the internet kinda went poof and everyone is running around with torches and pitchforks because the internet provider around here sucks. I wonder when there will be a bonfire! Yay! I am joking of course about the torches and pitchforks, but it helps to have a good attitude about things and joke around right? People have to be optimistic in these bad times, no matter what happens. And you guys showed me that. Thank you so much, all of you. :3 You are all awesome for being there, anyway, please let me know what you think. I'll catch all of you later! :D

Well shit...
General | Posted 13 years agoSo uh yeah... things are not good on this end. Not like computers or college and whatnot. Emotionally and physically hurt? Hmmm maybe... So this is what I'm asking of you. Can you give me links to something that would be seen as funny. Not weird or anything. I need a lot of good laughs for a while... for example something like this. Also songs would be appreciated as well, please no dubstep, country, rap, or metal please. i just need something calming...

If you guys wanna know whats going on... I probably can't say... but I am absolutely torn up and I'm finding it hard to even do things at this point. I might end up dissapearing from FA for a bit, i'm not sure... At this point, i feel like absolute shit... And if i do tell you guys, that might be in a while... I dunno... See ya later i guess...

General | Posted 13 years agoWhat do you want to see more of from me? more art? more journals? more help to you guys? I'm really curious. I can give you guys explanations as to why i do and dont do things if you ask me specific questions. Also what do you guys think of my move into macro? And if you want to ask me anything in general, please do so. I'm just curious as to what you guys think and I'd love to address any questions you may have.
I'm serious, i wanna know things of what you think and what you want.

Back home and bored! If anyone would like a request, please post your reference below. I'll be going through and picking a few characters to draw. This is not just for today, but for any day that I am bored or feel like giving gifts~
Rules:
1. No requests for poses.
2. A pimping journal would be /very/ helpful, but not necessary.
3. Don't get upset if I don't pick you. :C
4. I'll probably do one or two a day~ :3
Edit: holy cow, I dunno where all these new watches came from, but thank you all! <3
Alsooo, I like a lot of these characters so far, but I'm gonna bounce around and not do them in order to kind of keep it a surprise. n3n

I HAVE RETURNED!
General | Posted 13 years agoAnd the trip home was amazing! I mean, the train arrived on time, the food was awesome, the people on the train were really kind. 8 of us decided to play my Sims 3 game and we each made a character, which sadly ended up tearing the household apart because everyone married each other...But that's besides the point. I had a fun time! It's good to be home, I just wish i had my awesome TV... Oh well. But hey, thank you so much for your kind words! So tell you what, on christmas, I'll upload what I can during the right hours. :P Talk to all of you soon!
A Note to my Watchers and Other Artists
General | Posted 13 years agoOver the past few days, I have realized that I seem to take a lot of things for granted, such as receiving art, talking with numerous people such as my friends, helping numerous people with problems, and just trying to get ahead in life. The one thing I try to do is help people be happy, and also help people understand what it is I am trying to do when I receive art from amazing artists.
For those of you who wonder about why I don't post as often as other people usually do, it's because I am sometimes busy with college classes that i seriously dont have the time to write descriptions. That and I try to find the right time to post the artwork so that many people can see it. I also try to make my gallery seem unique so that certain styles can be seen apart from one another, which is what im doing with another image I plan on submitting sometime soon. This may seem like a bad thing to some people, but to me I feel like I am giving the sense of feeling of "what is he going to post next, and from whom?" Which I feel like is a good thing to do because it creates a sense of anticipation.
On a note for the artists whom I commission, I sincerely apologize if I do come off in a bad way at first. I do not mean to come off in a bad way to any of you at all, that is not my intention and that is also not a place I wish to be. I love art, I love all the lines, the colors, the amount of time an artist puts into a piece of artwork. I understand the amount of time and effort you put into your work, and I know when I see good work, it deserves the proper compensation. And I always try to see what I can do to help the artist afterwards, especially by either giving them a tip or a donation after they finish, if my budget allows me to. But the one thing I hear about is how I am not thankful enough sometimes, or I am demanding, or something along those lines. When I commission something and I see the final result, I seriously dont know what to say. I am in a sense of awe and wonder, and I can't believe how awesome the artwork comes out to be. As for the demanding part, artists tend to forget details on my characters and my sona's, which I have to point out. But every time I point it out, I feel terrible, because I hate giving the artist more work than they have to deal with and I just don't like to point things out. I am very hesitant when it comes to these sorts of things. it's always the same thing, "the hip fur is um... missing. the armcuff fur is uh... missing can you fix that? He has pawpads on his feet and hands, he is medium built and has muscles but not many" its always the same thing, and I always feel terrible every time when I point it out. I am sorry, and I am afraid that I have done many things wrong to artists because of the things I ask to be fixed as well as the things I commission may be too complex.
When it comes to commissioning art and winning raffles. I do not take anything for granted, never. Sure there is always the nagging feeling that you want to request something, or maybe you want to just get something for free in a raffle. I understand that, but that is one of our most basic and fundamental flaws, we are people, and we want things, but we take it for granted. I try not to, but it always comes back. I believe that all commissions and artists deserve some sort of compensation for their work, whether it be a temporary thing like money, or something much more permanent like a friendship. Whenever I get a commission form an artist, it seems like my bad side comes out, the one that wants things, and when it goes away, i seem to turn into the nicest person ever. I want to be the best person I can be, a good and king friend to many different people.
In short, I just want to say sorry if I have come off sounding like a complete ass as of late, I have no intentions to be like that ever. So I'm here to say sorry to everyone if I have happened to make you angry with me. Thank you for your time and reading this, but there is so much I can go into. Maybe another time.

Maybe another time.
dialuca01 LucaSo, today is my birthday! Im now 20 years old! :D
General | Posted 13 years agoThe past two decades have moved by so fast, its hard to keep up with all the stuff that has been going on! Middle school, high school, college, being home and hanging out with friends. Its hard to imagine what the day may bring, maybe I'll see a few surprises coming my way! Actually! I did get one surprise already! I apparently won a raffle for a button! Thats so awesome! :D But anyway, I am not sure what is going to happen for the next few days, or even what the future will bring for me! But that will all come in time. But that doesnt mean I dont thank anybody. No... I thank everyone who has been my friend over the years, those who watch me, and even my friends and family from home and college that have always been there for me! Thank you so much for being there for me over the years! :3 Anyway this Manectric has to run off and eat some cake and stuff! You all have a super wonderful day! :D

I say sorry a lot, I'm overly cautious, when something goes wrong I have a sort of anxiety attack for a few hours.
10. What are some things your friends noticed about you when they first met you?
That I love to socialize with people whenever and whereever I can, but that I am overly cautious at first until i really get to know a person. Once I get to know a person, I'm pretty much an open book from then on out, but i still get cautious about what I say at times.
Good! Hold on, yer coming up on some deeper questions now... ready?
11. Of what faith/religion are you(if any)?
Atheist, I don't understand why the world has to kill itself over such petty and foolish things like which series of beliefs is better? It's pathetic to kill another because they don't believe in what you believe. You need to have a tolerance of everyone, it's the only way to live life well.

25. What do you drive/wish you drove?
I don't have a driver's license, plus I don't think I would need a car until later on in life, but its nice to get away from the silly expenses one has to pay for a car.
Last 5 questions. You're in the homestretch, come on, you can make it! Lets see what gets under your skin.

At long last I have an FA
General | Posted 15 years agoAfter a long wait and an even longer time of waiting for the account registration to open up, it finally happened. I am mostly on dA also known as Dialuca01, and I have a bunch of works that are really good! Yet I want to post things that are different from what I have back on dA, something new and different. However I'm not sure yet what I would want. But I know I want something soon. But since Im currently in college, I may or may not have the time to draw anything. Or write for that matter. So now I wait and see what will happen.
Thank you for your time!
