General | Posted 6 years agoSo it turns out that the suspension began while I was on vacation in California visiting parents. Due to the absurd rules about what violates FA policy, I can not directly tell you the reason I got suspended in a journal (so if you want more details, I'd definitely suggest noting me). But long story short, I said something that the hyper partisan FA staff didn't "agree" with, so that was grounds for them to boot me for a week. Anyway, I also contracted a URI (upper respiratory infection) while in California. I'm on my 9th day of it back in my own apartment, so it won't be long before this sh*t is gone for good.
Other than that, preparing for Shadowbringers and trying to kick my butt into gear to find a job hopefully somewhere closeby (it's Vegas in the summer, soooo...). Anyway, happy to be back, but considering my options for whether I want to stay here, given that I am not at all happy with how my recent issue was handled. Feel free to say hello!

My issue here isn't that he made this declaration persay, as Romans did have a LOT of rampant bisexual activity. My issue is that the character was never once established as this until YEARS LATER, when the series seems to be finishing up. At this rate, it just seems like he was trying to virtual signal to the LGBT crowd. But then he goes extra stupid and backtracks, proving that he was just testing the water. Again, he was better off not saying anything if this was the case. I have no problem when sexuality is done correctly and it's not shoved in our face, but this just seemed like a very late attempt to get some brownie points with a (tyrannical) LGBTQ community. Hopefully other game creators won't be this stupid.

Some things I wish I knew when I was in high school.
General | Posted 6 years agoI've seen a lot of fur kiddos graduating high school, and I feel I need to break my silence on this... to me, graduating means about as much to me as a participation award now. There're only 3 things that matter. Do you plan on going to college? Do you have one of the 4 necessary life skills to succeed? Did you waste time doing a subject or activity you don't actually care about just to make someone else happy?
The first one. Do you plan on going to college? If the answer is yes, then everything you learned in high school suddenly becomes far more relevant, and your grades matter. For me, I had no plans to go to college except for the "aspirations" my parents had planned for me. They kept telling me I needed good grades for college, but I had no idea why i was going to college, and was only told, "You should have been doing research on careers!". Except that's not what i was pushed to do at all. Our careers course in high school was useless, and my parents were too busy working to ever help me decide. So I'm going to tell YOU now. Do not dick around, do not waste time. Employers want their employees as young as possible and with as much information as possible. The longer you wait to decide, the less valuable you become. If you decide you want a career from college, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PLAN AND STICK WITH IT! And absolutely make sure that the college will teach you what you need and isn't some SJW indoctrination center like a good chunk of them are becoming now.
The second one. Do you have one of the 4 necessary life skills to succeed? You only need one of these four, but you absolutely need one of them. Speed, precision, strength, or social skills. Trust me, if you don't have one of those 4 skills, as Sans once said, "You're in for a bad time." You need to focus on at LEAST one of these skills and make sure you are superb at it, and focus your career on that. if you have to drop out of school to avoid learning useless information to be good at your career, there's no shame in it (unlike what some jerks peer pressure you to believe). And yes, a lot of jobs require at least a high school diploma, but it's mostly because of govt interference. Make sure you look at job listings for the job field you end up taking an interest in so you get a good idea of what's expected from you. Indeed is a very good site to give you trends into what jobs are looking for.
The third question. Are you wasting time just to make someone else happy? If the answer is yes, stop. Your life should NOT be for someone else's benefit. It should be for yours. If they're making you do something you hate, the money is not worth it. It needs to be a job you are both good at and love. If they threaten you for it, you need to grow a pair and stand up for yourself. However, defying them means nothing if you waste your time and don't choose a career path, as I've made very clear in the last two paragraphs. So yeah... high school should be all about career prep. And if you're not going to career prep... yeah, you're going to be massively handicapped for a long time :/

Pondering Something
General | Posted 6 years agoI feel like doing writing an entire story dedicated to what my religious beliefs are so that people understand it. I just wanted to make sure that people KNOW that it's not going to be Atheist or accepted "Christian" doctrine, and since that's what MOST people in America are, I felt that it'd be best to warn you since people of those paths tend to dislike stuff that lies outside of that domain. So my question is, would anyone actually be interested in reading it? I just don't want to write it and then have it be ignored, or to have people in my inbox telling me how I offended them or something. Thoughts?

The UN/WHO/CDC have been purposely getting people sick and sterilized, and have also buried valuable information about vaccines. In short, pro-vaxxers are just going around forcing vaxx-skeptics to "shut up" because we're in an age where noone wants to have discussion anymore. According to these zealots, you're on the "right side" or the "wrong side". It's like people think they're smart just because they go with the mainstream opinion. But remember, Galileo was the minority once upon a time, and he was right. So there's definitely nothing wrong with being a skeptic in my eyes. Especially when the company in CHARGE of those vaccines has a history of committing all kinds of crimes, putting stuff in their products that they KNEW was harmful to people, and creating pesticides which kill bees AND causes CANCER! If a private citizen does it, it's a witch hunt. But if a corporation like CNN or CBS does it, noone bats an eye. They also try to make the Richard Spencer guy out to be a bigot when he's literally telling the truth about everything. And the show is also trying to defend the mainstream media while also implying that "there're some people you shouldn't be objective about." And then instead of proving that he can be civil in a political debate, the BLACK GUY IN THE SHOT COLD COCKS THE RICHARD SPENCER GUY! Aftermath of the Star Wars Betrayal
General | Posted 6 years agoThere's not going to be any video link, or images of tweets. And I know a certain little crinkle shark will most likely pick up on this. But I felt that I needed to vent this out proper before I get some needed sleep. I can't say that I was the most diehard Star Wars fan, but I can definitely say that it shaped a large majority of my life growing up. I was deeply into it, and i'd say that my biggest staples came from the KOTOR/SWTOR games and the Clone Wars cartoon. I felt these mediums best embodied the true intent of the series and the story it was meant to have. Looking back on the original sequels, I honestly find they haven't aged well. The pacing was too fast, they could never dwell on any situation too long and it was just a hot rushed mess. Episode 5 was an attempt to slow down, but it ended up going a bit TOO slow in the wrong way (still better than 4). And by Episode 6, it had finally picked up and it was a generally awesome movie to watch, but the fact that friggin teddy bears helped stop the Empire still pisses me off to this day (it was such a bad decision, one of the big people on the project actually quit because of how moronic he found the concept).
Then we have the prequels. The first movie literally didn't need to exist. It could have basically been a panorama of beautiful scenery throughout the Star Wars universe and that's all it would have needed to be, but anything more it just felt forced. With Episode 2, they essentially established a lot of the characters as being combative towards one another for any or no reason, and the forced romance plot was just utter cringe. It finished on a fairly strong note though. Episode 3 came and this is where the prequels, once again, finally found some footing and had grown more mature and thoughtful as a movie overall. No longer was it pushing toys, environments, wooden acting, or a horrid romance plot (at least it wasn't AS horrid as the 2nd movie). Despite whatever criticism is levied at it, it is still one of my favorites to watch regardless.
We then have the new movies. Episode 7. I liked it a lot when it first came out, but looking back on it now, Rey really is a mary sue, Finn had no personality, Po gets almost no screen time, the Yoda wannabe is just thrown out of left field, Chewbacca is a f**king fur rug, R2-D2 is useless. C3P0 is his usual nancybot self, and BB8 actually ended up being the most interesting of the new characters since the Kylo Ren was a manchild who "wanted to be evil", his master ended up never panning out (because of Episode 8), and Hucks was a cartoonish Hitler wannabe (as intended by Disney). Han Solo was the main reason the movie stayed enjoyable. The scene between him and Kylo was touching. A lot of people argued that was no way for the character to go out, but I felt that it was refreshing to see things not go the heroes way for once. Rey beating Kylo, even WITH a bowcaster wound, I kind of call BS on. Rogue One, I didn't really like it except for the final battle on the planet because it reminded me of how I wanted Battlefront to be, and I found the actual battle cool as f**k. Soylo the Movie was a hot mess I completely avoided, and Episode 8 made me end up loving the little bird things because the actual movie itself was a f**king disaster that made me want to strangle the screen (yes, I know that's impossible).
Disney's constant contempt for its fans is just becoming clear, and their contempt for those who want to go back to the Legends canon only makes it very clear that they don't give a damn what I want. From someone who's been there since the beginning, I am deeply disappointed that my love for this franchise had been killed to the level that it is now because of corporate greed and the shaming of fans for being "white males". It just shows how the culture I grew up in is being forcefully changed to be hostile to me no matter what I want. So with much regret, I try to force the love for the Jedi/Sith mythos, my wonderment of the many environments, the significant events throuhgout its history, my love for some of the best written characters, all down and out, because I can't bear to look at what Disney has done to my franchise.
Oh well... at least there's always Destiny 2 and Star Citizen.
P.S. I wrote this despite being somewhat tired, so if it seems I'm rambling that's why.

Upcoming Plans
General | Posted 6 years agoSo the only REAL notable thing is this: My birthday is on May 30th. I WANTED to hold my birthday in April though (I live in Las Vegas, and if you've ever been here in the summer, it BLOWS ANUS!) April tends to be a cooler month. However, despite it being the very beginning of the month, my parents said April is too hectic of a month due to the many "holidays" and their anniversary coming up (grats to them btw). So we agreed on me coming at the VERY beginning of May (due to my financial situation, going near the end of a month is a very bad idea for me. Definitely best at the beginning). Now because the price of flight is about $244 MINIMUM, my parents found this to be insanely high. I decided to suck it up and look at Greyhound.
Surprisingly, they have finally gotten their sh*t together. The bus would used to take over 8 hours and could be pretty pricy. But I found a $42 round trip for them that's express (5 hours and 20 minutes. Hell of a lot better than 8 hours), so I'm more than okay with this arrangement. I already have my birthday "day" planned out, visit to Myrtle Creek near Fallbrook, a visit to the Promenade in Temecula to grab Red Robin for lunch followed up by a movie with Dad while Mom relaxes in the courtyard somewhere, and then we top it off with Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and some window shopping at the Menifee Outdoor Mall.
Only thing that's missing is what sort of gift I want xP I told them anything I would feel I'd need (file cabinet organizer or pet cactus) are both things I can't take with me on the bus, so I'll think of something else. Anyway I very much look forward to this outing. It's a lot cheaper than past outings, and I'm more than happy with the venues :3

General | Posted 6 years agoIt's not "official", but I will be making money off of it, and it's work-from-home. Going to be doing stock investments. Already got a pretty good return on what I put down so far, and I have a mentor helping me with it. I'll be waking up at 4:30 AM PST and going to bed at 7:30 PM PST, so if you want to catch me, those are the best hours. And yes, I know the risks, please don't lecture me. Anyway, wish me luck!
