Wow! I can't believe it has been about a year since my last journal entry. Life sure has been busy....My lack of posts is mainly due to a large project that I have been chiseling away at during my free time after my day job. I have not had much time to complete any of the personal illustrations that I have in the works.

I'm happy to say that I am ALMOST done with all of the illustrations for the children's book. I hope to complete the last 3 images within the next month or 2, then I'll just need to work on the book layout. The goal is to have the book be available for purchase by August/September this year.

It's about that time for my yearly update! ....As it seems that is usually when I post a new journal. Work has been keeping me busy as usual however I have had some fun projects that I have been able to work on. One was a map for a local water park and I also have done some logo commissions here and there for small starting up companies.

My newest project I have in the works is illustrating a children's book that will hopefully be coming out sometime next year. I received the ok to post my illustrations ahead of the publication so I may post a few here for you guys to see.

Woo! My new job has definitely been keeping me busy. I love it though. I haven't had much time between work and finding a new apartment ti get any artwork done. At least I have been doing design for work and some freelance side projects for a small local t-shirt company. Once i find a new place closer to my job, I hope to finally have more time to do some art, I sure miss it. All I've managed to do are a few sketches to relax so I'll maybe throw a sketch montage for you all to see since its been awhile since I last posted something.

Hey Everyone! A little update for all of you, I only have 3 weeks left of school until graduation!! Yayyyy!! I"m getting so tired from all the work I've had to do for my portfolios and such. Also, My website is now up and running!!

Hey everyone! I know I haven't been active on here lately, school, work, and job searching as taken up pretty much all of my time. It looks like I will not have any free time until my graduation in May. I may try to upload the new school projects that I have been working on once I finish them if I have the time. But until I'm done with school, I won't be working or uploading any personal, fun pieces or commissions.

As for Cons.... I won't be going to any until after graduation in May. So far I know I'm going to ACEN, my friends and I did manage to get a table. Although I'm not sure if I'll have much merchandise ready to sell by then. I also plan on going to AC again this year, I'm just seeing what my job situation is this summer. I had 2 interviews this week, so I'm crossing my finger maybe one of those jobs will pull through. ^^'

Lastly, commissions in the queue, I have not forgotten about you  rezraptor and  cigarsnscotch You both have been super patient and I will reward you with a special gift once I graduate. I'm not sure what yet, but I'm very grateful for your patience and understanding so I'll be sure it's something good. ;) . I will try to make some free time to get rez's laminated and finally shipped out soon. It's just as I said earlier, I'm running thin on free time these days (as well as sleep) lol. But I'm almost done! I just wish I didn't choose the full time status and instead just taken 6 or 9 credits. Oh well..... too late now! :P

Hey Everyone!

I'm starting my last semester of college today! I'm so happy to be finally done with school. I'm sure the next 4 months will fly by crazy fast. Since the new semester is beginning, I have closed commissions until May when I graduate. I don't have too many commissions left on the queue so I should be able to finish those up before any large class projects are due. I may open up commissions again within the semester if my work load is not as heavy as I anticipate. However, with completing my senior portfolio along with my photography class and an independent study I'm sure my hands will be full.

I'd like to take a vote for what type of commission I should have on sale when I open up in May. Let me know what kind you'd love to have a sale price on and I'll put in into consideration in the spring.

As of last night I'm officially NOT able to attend this year. My class projects have been over whelming me and this weekend I need to use to work on a project if i want to be able to finish everything in time for finals week. I'm having my registration payment waived onto next years MFF and there will be no school distractions then so I can actually plan for it and get a dealer's table. ^^'

Hello everyone! I appreciate everyone's patience with me finishing commissions and uploading new work. It has been a super busy semester for me with working 2 campus jobs and going to school full time. This fall semester has flown by to damn fast i can't even believe it's already Nov. Only 6 weeks left and then I just have one more semester to graduate!! :D I'm sooo excited, I've been in school for way too long. :P


I'm almost caught up on my queue again, so I thought I'd announce that I plan to open commissions again Dec 1st. Hello everyone! I'd first off like to say thank you again for all of your patience waiting on commissions and updates, and I really appreciate your understanding. The drama has finally subsided, unfortunately it crashed and burned last week but at least it is now over. I'm feeling much better and have caught up on all the sleep that I lost so I finally have the energy and drive to work on artwork again!

This week I'm finishing moving into my apt and into my family's new house. I've almost gotten everything moved, just a few more boxes here and there and some furniture that needs a truck to move it. Next week school starts, but I'll be working on commissions so don't worry I'll be getting them finished. Along with moving out around the corner and still so much to finish packing, I am dealing with some difficult drama between my ex of 4 years and the bf I recently started dated. It's a difficult situation to understand, so I won't go into it just know that this situation has drained me both physically and emotionally to the point where I'm not motivated to do anything and the loss of sleep has driven me waaay past the point of exhaustion. I'm hoping after I move in next week, I'll finally be OK and motivated to work again. Wow! I've been so busy with moving and crap that I almost forgot it was my birthday today. There's moving to a new house AND moving to a new apartment at the same time, the garage sale we just had, it's the last week of my summer class, and also some really stressful drama that I've been dealing with this week. I'm ready to throw the towel in....

Garage sale this last weekend didn't go as well as we hoped, but at least I made some money to cover my gas for this week. :P I'm going to put a few things on craig's list that didn't sell in hopes of making a few more extra bucks. I have not had much time to work on commissions due to the garage sale, so I'm a bit behind on what I wanted to finish this week. I swear I'm never doing a garage sale again! This weekend I plan on sitting down and actually getting work done.

I also still need to finishing packing everything for moving out to my apartment on the 8th. So I really appreciate your patience with me working on commissions. Ohhhhhh man, finally back home from AC after a looong drive, thankfully I slept through most of it. Not getting much sleep this weekend has made getting up for work this morning extra difficult, almost slept through my alarm. XD It was well worth it though, I had an absolute blast! I just really look forward to crashing in my comfortable bed this evening after work.

First off I gotta say, for the people I talked to at home calling Pittsburgh "the pits" it sure is a quaint little city, comparing it to Chicago that is. Wonderful scenery and interesting architecture, it made me wish I had more time for some site seeing.

AC was a super awesome fun time! I met a lot of awesome people and artists, and it was fabulous finally meeting some old commissioners of mine (you know who you are ;) ). Dances were really fun, and sure wiped me out each night I went.

I want to shout out a very special thanks to  dearc for setting everything up with the room and food plan, you are amazing! I'd also like to thank  kashikaoi for being sure everyone and myself were fed. I really appreciate all the time and effort you guys put into planning and executing everything this weekend. :D

Alrighty now down to business, left over AC commissions. I appreciate everyone's patience this weekend and allowing me to complete some at home and not feel rushed on things. I hope to get EVERYONE from AC completed within the next 2 weeks (unless I told you it was a long-term completion commission) and then resume with my regular queue. For people who are picking up items or want to look out for me at AC, here is what to look for:

* I'm really short, only 5' 1". So often times I'm hard to spot in a large crowd. Generally just try to look for my 2 friends  iowncharles and  firefeathers who are both much taller than me and easier to spot (like flag poles!...I kid haha) We'll hopefully be getting tables all next to each other in the artist alley. *crosses fingers*.

* If so, we are a rambunctious group always giggling, laughing, and cracking jokes.

* When all else fails, I have long brown hair (although I cut it recently to just below shoulder length)

* I'm almost always wearing tank tops, and sometimes fun printed T's.

* I'm a very smiley and giddy person. I have a Cheshire like goofy ass grin that's not hard to miss.

The idea was already 90% sure, but now it's definite. My group  firefeathers and  iowncharles just need to discuss the travel there.



The 3 of us will be attempting to get tables for all days of the con, so look for us in the artist alley. I will be selling a few prints of some recent work I've done as well as my stickers. I also plan on making the sticker designs into magnets that will be for sale as well. :)
