Hmmm, not sure yes or no, probably almost certainly yes. Only 50% pervert? Wow. But, you know, now that I put some serious thought into it, I'm 50% reptile and 50% lupine and, since the lupine is indeed the perverted side of me, I guess that actually makes the result very accurate. Not putting much mental energy into analyzing the rest, I guess that just makes me...easy.
Yeah. Easy.

Back. Here. And from FC
General | Posted 11 years agoHi all.
2014 was very hard for me. I had quite a large number of low-level, but lingering, health concerns that left me without the will nor the ability to do much of anything for a long time. Some of it is simply where I live - this city life is not for me. After double cases of bronchitis thanks to the conditions around here leaving me with, what looks like, a permanent case of asthma, plus other things, the city seems to be slowly killing me.
I'm struggling back up into the world but it feels like it has been a long time since I've had any energy, any will, to actually do much of anything. So it's taking a while.
Just came back from FC, my first time. San Jose is a strange town. The con hotel is in an "oasis"; 2 blocks in one direction, I was told, was NOT the direction to go as there was a shooting in that neighborhood a few weeks ago. In the other direction, towards the college, you are fine but the vast majority of downtown restaurants are outright CLOSED between the hours of 3 to 5 PM o.O!! Seriously, just try to find food between 3 to 5 PM in San Jose. And, being on the West Coast, you'd think that they would be veg-friendly but that was NOT the case: several restaurants had NO veggie options on the menu AT ALL and one, a taco shop (on Santa Clara IIRC) was SURPRISED both when I ordered no meat and when I explained that I'm a vegetarian. Downtown is mostly populated with hangers-out, skateboarders and transients during the weekday daylight hours; the Safeway isn't exactly luxurious with its selection. The flights to San Jose kinda suck - 7 hours of flights and connections, arriving 10 hours later by clock and 12 hours after I first left home.
The hotel is somewhat nice but the Fairmont, the original con hotel that FC grew out of about 1.5 blocks away, is stunning in comparison. The Marriott's location is noisy - even through sealed windows (no fresh air!) you can hear the trolley trains passing by (they sound like snow plows), motorcycles (with the all-too common too loud exhausts), the airplanes above (the hotel is within a hairs-breath of the approach path) and the party on the terrace 4 stories below you.
So, why San Jose? It is so "low key" that I [slightly] wonder if its pacemaker has failed.
We arrived Thursday and, well, that's just too early for me being used to the experience of a con through the eyes of a vendor. High energy and dense activity is what I'm used to but arrive early and you have a LOT of time on your hands when you are just an attendee. By Friday night I had a dream where I stole a clapped-out Triumph to joyride on, I was seriously jonesing that bad of getting out of there.
Saturday came and things kicked up to speed and I had a good time. The problem is that my 2 days worth of depression, in turn, depressed my sweetie and he had a HORRIBLE time by then.
There were reportedly over 600 fursuiters in the parade yet you often only saw the same, say, 40 or so walking the con on average. Furs playing music in the atrium leading up to the Dealer's Room area was very nice.
We played Cards Against Humanity; I managed, through sheer will, to attend a few good discussion boards on Sunday and had a great time in them. Attended most of the dance contest, a first for me as it was accessible both in location and time (in other cons, the dance contest is in a far-away ballroom at an inconvenient time).
Still, FC was hard on both of us. I had a miserable Thursday and Friday, bored and alienated as I know almost no one on the West Coast, and my depression only made my hubby depressed. I made it a point to occupy myself as much as possible for Saturday and Sunday, to avoid feeling isolated, and it worked for me but it was too late for my sweetie He had an unhappy time.
Not sure if we'll repeat this. But at least we went and gave it a go.

Didn't go to FC
General | Posted 12 years agoI was just too tired and my sweetie had to cancel in order to work / do MAL in D.C. I'll miss going to Frolic I guess. A few furs are there that I wanted to see / meet but otherwise I'm an unknown and greymuzzles seem to not fit in as easily anyway.
For my next con the photographs I take will be even better. I got a lot of new equipment including a 35mm (equiv.) f/1.8 plus new flash, diffuser / softbox combo, CTO gels and TTL cord - with a 2 stop advantage, I'll probably be able to settle for 640-800 ISO rather than 1600 to 3200. I look forward to experimenting with the setup and then trying it out at the next shoot.
Missing out on suiting doesn't really bother me much as it is surprisingly stressful physically and it seems no one connected with it anyway. I've made some additional mods to the overcoat so it is much easier for me to get into and out of, and that may dramatically improve my suiting experience next time. I should actually be able to get in and out of it, maybe even myself!
I think the most important part of lowering the stress levels when suiting is to make sure that I stay at the con hotel - at MFF I was in the overflow Hilton and it was a physical drag, having to walk 10 minutes through corridors and hallways to get back to the room when I was already tired and stressed. Next time, no con hotel = barely suiting.
Rubber, however, is such common street wear for me that I'll switch more to that instead. The problem with me in full rubber is no pockets and squeaky clothes, so it is nearly impossible to do photography. There is always neoprene, I guess.

Fursona survey
General | Posted 12 years agoWhat made you choose the species of your main fursona?
It wasn't so much of a "choice" as a realization - I am, simply, reptilian. In both 'physiology' and physiology, the animal closest to my existence is a snake and I discovered this after my Burmese python, Montie, came into my life. After all the pets I had in my life, Montie was as close to a soulmate as any animal could come.
As for the species mix, that was also a realization and not a choice. The look, as well, unattractive as a few may think of it, is beautiful to me because it represents, and it built upon, the possible - the physical look is strictly based on what may be possible if these two disparate species came together as a crossbreed. Aesthetics, surprisingly, had nothing to do with the look so, in that, I find it quite beautiful - a face only a mother could love.
Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
Like me precisely. I guess you can say I took a long time getting here and I'm OK with being how I am; after a long spell, I am comfortable with myself. I am not sure what I would "want to be" if given a chance - how can you know what the future will bring?
Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
Yes, because I am him and he is me. There is no 'fursona', it is simply me allowing how I physically see myself in my mind's eye to be viewed by others.
Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
Yes and yes. We both try our best to be mellow - drama is for you mammals
Is your fursona the same gender as you, if not why?
Same gender.
Do you have more then one main fursona?
No.
Do you have a back story for your fursona, if so does it have anything to do with your own history?
Yes, and yes. Very very much, yes. Oh, you have no idea, yes.
Is your fursona mated, if so is it to your real life significant other?
Yes, I am mated to my IRL bunnyhamster,
chocolatemuscle :duck and cover:
If not are they looking for a mate, or are they a swinger so to speak?
Mated but we enjoy other people's company whenever we can Apply within.
Is there something special about your fursona that you think sets them apart from others?
Not really, I am what I am.. The physical attributes may be distinct but I don't see [my]self as very different. Somewhat 'colorful', read people have a habit of calling me a bit 'freakish' because of my varied interests and raunchy kinky tastes, OK, but not really different.
Do you have much art of your main fursona/s?
Eh? I would guess so, after a fashion. I don't use art to help me identify with my fursona so any art in our lives is strictly for pleasure and not a required part of the connection.
Would you ever consider parting with your main fursona, if so why?
No, no way. My "fursona" is much more than simply an attribute I apply to myself, it is actually made up of the 2 parts of me that truly exist. I could no more separate myself from how I see myself than I could split those two parts up. Years ago, when I discovered him, I may have considered seeking assistance of some sort but now I am happily integrated and live a typically quiet reptilian life. I have acknowledged this fursona for 23 years now and he, and I, aren't going anywhere.
If you suit, do you have a suit of your main fursona?
Yes, I have a suit, just started last year. The ability to recreate myself, that is how I see myself IRL and how to represent those physical attributes to other people, is still a work in progrees. Read: I am for hyper-realism and the closer I can get to precisely matching my mind's eye to my fursona's IRL look (suit), the happier I'll be.
Have you ever roleplayed with your main fursona, or do you prefer not to?
Hmmm. I would have said "no" to "have you ever roleplayed" but upon thought, yes, yes I have Usually I would say I'm not good in roleplay - again, I am what I am and not very good at lying or deceiving people, that is just not my way - but I'd give that another try sometime.
Do you consider your main fursona to be a part of you in any way?
He is very much me, so much so that I often look at the world through his eyes and friends around me know that I have a habit of referring to 'humans' and 'mammals' in the third-person.

FurFright is dead. No more!! My thoughts about all this
General | Posted 12 years agoThe board of FurFright as officially announced that FurFright is no more.
http://furfright.livejournal.com/49.....ojs=1#t2303184
https://www.facebook.com/pages/FurF.....96948207011416
This is upsetting on so many fronts that I can't even fully describe them.
It is absolutely terrible that Belic and his wife are in such a horrible life state that they must deal with this level of personal grief.
It is terrible that the furry community is losing an important meeting place, and the 'family' connections that it has allowed to be built.
It is terrible that, on a personal note, that I will lose my anniversary. FurFright is
and I's anniversary - next year will be 10 years together. I met him at FurFright over 9 years ago and we have been together ever since. My anniversary isn't a "date", it is FurFright - when the con happens, it is our anniversary. And we celebrate it together, every year at the con.
And now, all that and more is being lost.
I do not understand why the board of FurFright will not allow the ownership of the FF corporation, and therefore the con, to transcend the individuals connected with it and allow a new board or new ownership. FurFright would rather die than be allowed to move forward with new controlling individuals.
It makes we wonder if that will happen to every single con: will Anthrocon end when Kage decides he wants to move on? Will Eurofurence stop when their board wishes to retire? What about Further Confusion? Midwest FurFest? Are we to believe that every single con, and therefore their influence in the furry community, is strictly a structure of a few?
I must think about that.

Back from (my first) MFF! (edited, more info added)
General | Posted 12 years agoWow, MFF was a blur of activity.
I arrived on Thursday night on a flight taken after work. CM, Regi and I left the hotel and walked towards the theater, where we found a Mexican-themed bar/cafe/restaurant. I had an excellent meal but everyone else complained that the food was only OK and the music in the bar was way too loud.
heartlessfang presented
chocolatemuscle and I wonderful matching con badges!
I shacked up with my hubby,
heartlessfang and
reginho for the night.
I spent Friday just walking around the con, trying to get a feel and a layout for what to expect. Relaxing and getting into the jive, mostly. We were in the Hilton and moved to a separate room, had a miserable night's sleep last night. We must thank Chicago for the skywalk between the hotels and convention center: if it wasn't for that skywalk the overflow hotels would be useless, it got down to below freezing outside! WOW it was cold!
Went out with
SchreddedWolf and
ChocolateMuscle for our workouts at 4 at Lifetime, then came home and changed for the rubber party, put on by
rubber-furs. Had a nice time, I/we got a cheer from the crowd
Saturday I fursuited, first in the fursuit parade (fur formal). While standing around for the parade to start I met a most amazing fursuit, a black 6-eyed spider with moveable mouth parts. Not enough insects in out community! We did the parade in the hotel and then marched outside for a group shot. Holy crap it was cold! I bumped into
spottacus and we talked and caught up while we waited around; they took some photos but I bailed after a while because I was simply getting too cold. After finding Nugget, I then went back my the hotel room, was extracted from my suit, cleaned up and went for a workout with SW and CM. After the workout I suited up in fur casual and walked around the hotel.
I caught up with
ClefWolf and FINALLY met
areitu!!! YAAAAAY!!!! We have known each other probably 10 years online but have never met...until Saturday. I met up with Areitu in the hotel lobby with his boyfriend and we all sat down to talk and catch up.
areitu is really a great guy IRL and I'm happy that I got to meet him in person. :hugs:
Did the Dead Dog, my first time, thanks to a x-invite from
ChocolateMuscle. What a zoo I sat and had a lengthy conversation with a fur named Paradigm.
The first part of Sunday I went to the convention center next door, where I had passed frequently via the skywalk, and went to the muscle car show! Thinking of
toro all the time, hoping to find something that might interest him. Later, back at the hotel to hang, not in costume, so that I could spend the rest of the day taking photos.
I met so many people!! I do remember
Maximus-Ursus the wonderful couple from South Carolina, and many other furs that I can hope will find me here on FA - as I was in rubber or fursuit almost the entire weekend, I pretty much had little to no ability to take contact info.
I have con photos from Friday and Sunday, as Saturday I was suiting myself, and also some car show photos as well. Lots of great photos! Will post but it will take time, I'll have to do it in segments.
As this was only my 3rd time suiting, I've discovered some things about me and suiting. When at a con I usually go through 4 to 5 clothing changes - fursuit formal, fursuit casual, [optional] fursuit rubber, human latex, human neoprene and maybe human street casual for relaxation - plus extra visits to the room that everyone always does anyway like before or after food, in my case picking up my gym clothes for a workout, etc.
When I'm out in an overflow hotel, that's a hell of a lot of walking in gear. It's really tiring, actually.
Because the suiting and / or "costuming" (rubber isn't costume for me, but I wear it as much as possible anyway) I didn't get to see the art show, only barely saw the dealer's room (Sunday, actually), didn't do a single panel, only visited the Zoo at midnight for a short time, saw Kage's show only for 2 minutes, visited the main ballroom for all of 4 minutes during the entire con, missed both the opening and closing ceremonies, etc, etc, etc.
So, lesson: In future, if I'm not at the con hotel, I'm cutting down the fursuiting. Maybe casual only, as I can get in and out of it myself at any time. It took me 1 hour 10 minutes to prep and get into my formal this time (is that getting better? I don't know, haven't timed myself before).
Also, more figured out more mods to the suit to allow me to get in and out a LOT faster, I think. Will do mods ASAP.
The strange and amazing thing from the con? Food. The Hyatt had plenty of access to some OK vegetarian options and, before/after the workouts, we hit ProteinBar who also had veggie options on the menu. STRANGE is that I just ate more quinoa in Chicago than I've EVER been able to find here!! After a frustrating search in the airport for just about anything veggie, I later found a quinoa salad! So Chicago fed me more veggie options than I find here, and this is supposed to be the "Capital of the World"! WTF??!

areitu!!! YAAAAAY!!!! We have known each other probably 10 years online but have never met...until Saturday. I met up with Areitu in the hotel lobby with his boyfriend and we all sat down to talk and catch up.
areitu is really a great guy IRL and I'm happy that I got to meet him in person. :hugs:Did the Dead Dog, my first time, thanks to a x-invite from
ChocolateMuscle. What a zoo I sat and had a lengthy conversation with a fur named Paradigm. The first part of Sunday I went to the convention center next door, where I had passed frequently via the skywalk, and went to the muscle car show! Thinking of
toro all the time, hoping to find something that might interest him. Later, back at the hotel to hang, not in costume, so that I could spend the rest of the day taking photos.I met so many people!! I do remember
Maximus-Ursus the wonderful couple from South Carolina, and many other furs that I can hope will find me here on FA - as I was in rubber or fursuit almost the entire weekend, I pretty much had little to no ability to take contact info.I have con photos from Friday and Sunday, as Saturday I was suiting myself, and also some car show photos as well.
WTF??!
Yes, We Have No Bananas...err, I mean, Yes, I'll be @ MFF!!
General | Posted 12 years agoMy first time! YAY!!!! :waves hands like Kermit the Frog:
I can hope to meet lots of new furs there, yes?
I'm easy to spot: look for the either the furry reptile (while in suit) or the freaky pierced skinhead (when not, but maybe I don't look as freaky with my beard trimmed down now). If you insist on actually knowing what I look like, I'm in Scraps somewhere.
Hugs and gropes welcome. I'm easy AND cheap, too!

Background story finished! Day-in-life comics coming up!
General | Posted 12 years agoWow, that was LONG wasn't it? It took us 3 whole 'books' to tell the background story of Nugget, Bryn and Snake.
But, now that you are up to speed, we can post day in the life stuff! Next up is a comic from
reccawolf that I am working on - my very first coloring attempt! So be gentle with me if you don't like the results...
A [very] brief intermission, before the next comic, will be inserted. Just a few side interest things and such.
Thanks for watching!!

FurFright 2013 report!
General | Posted 12 years agoWell, we did FF again, 2013 edition. :iconChocolateMuscle" wants us to do something different next year but...but...!!!??!!! It's a special thing for us.
It seemed a bit lower key this year. Or maybe it was just the demands of both of us costuming for the entire weekend, for the first time? Who knew that costuming is so much WORK! I wasn't in suit all day as per AC, I was worn out and just too tired to do it especially after having to spend some hours in decorative repairs on the dress suit.
That doesn't mean that I'm not a clothes horse: I did 4 clothing / costume changes between Saturday and Sunday. Fursuit full dress, human neoprene, gasmasked fursuit latex (yes, I can put a gasmask on my fursuit head!!) and finally human casual kilt.
Did the parade, a great turnout and everyone was fun! Great to see so many faces.
ChocolateMuscle did the costume contest, as a huge gladiator (he *is* 6 foot 6' after all) but he did not win
I do have some bad news: none of the pictures came out worth a damn. All the parade photographs were taken in too dark a location, so everything is a beautifully exposed blur. When I'm in costume (as I was in the parade itself) someone else takes the photos and we must continue to work on bettering their grasp of photographic principles.
It was DAMN COLD that weekend. Did I mention is was COLD??!! Damnit, I can't ride to FF when the low is 32 degrees!
Had a BLAST playing Cards Against Humanity with
BlickFen and his posse on Sunday! Saw
MarrokSilvermane, who is overworked at FF as usual Met many other furs, I'm sorry but I don't know their FF handles.
Hit an exhaustion wall the rest of the week. Don't Do The Crime If You Can't Do The Time. eh?
Holy crap I just rediscovered a few things I haven't posted! That's what happens when life gets too damn busy and you get worn down. More things on the way.
I'll talk about the dying politics of "American Exceptionalism" at another time.

The (undiscussed) truth of why your government remains shut
General | Posted 12 years agoI was watching "Prometheus"...the MS3TK-esqe review
General | Posted 12 years ago"Earth company spends $1 TRILLION to launch an interstellar mission to discover the origins of intelligent life on planet Earth. Rather than send the very best and brightest scientists available, company selects a group of medium-qualified individuals with little concept of the scientific method.
Chaos ensues."
I think that about covers it.
I was sitting in a hotel room at 1 A.M., on a motorcycle run weekend, and caught the first hour of this movie. I ended up MS3TK'ing almost every scene:
"Look! We found a decapitated head from an alien and now we've gotten its helmet off!"
"What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to stick a 30A electrical probe into its spinal cord and see if I can make it do something!"
:head explodes:
I was laying in bed in my shared room watching this, with Chaz in the bed next to me. By the time I saw [that] scene, I turned to Chaz and said:
"These people are too stupid to live. They deserve to die."
Really. Let's take a chemical analysis of an alien atmosphere and, based upon that, take your helmet off. Bacterial and viral analysis? Isotopes?
Grab some alien biology and take it home with no significant isolation protocols.
Then, of course, the whopper: stick an electrical probe into your alien corpse before you even START to investigate its biology or neuron / nervous system design.
The only excuse I can give for such TERRIBLE WRITING is that most people believe that this is "science fiction" nowadays.

General | Posted 12 years agoYou're bored and you haven't hit the road for, what feels, WAY too long. So you hop on and start riding, nowhere at first.
You're on a road that you're not sure why you're on it - didn't I want to try a different way?. Then a traffic jam. So, a plan comes to mind. Off the main road I go to wander the cornfields.
So, after almost over 100 miles and 4 hours travel, including a side trip to visit a customer's shop that you realize that you're "close" to, you arrive at your point of your Grand Plan.
Lunch.
The only "$69 total cost" (tolls, fuel, food, never mind wear and tear) $19 (including tip), 4-hour trip away, lunch .
Afterwards you hop back on the saddle and ride, through backed-up traffic and 100 miles, back home.
Because you finished your lunch, after all.

Important things you should know! Snowden & internet privacy
General | Posted 12 years agoAs we are an internet-based community, using the internet for most of our interactions, we should pay attention to the developments on the Snowden case. The U.S. news (quite conveniently) haven't been covering all the details of the ongoing story, reporting more 'important' concerns like Lindsey Lohan, Prince George and Senator Cruz.
Keeping you distracted while they do the dirty work.
So here are some of the latest developments, THE IMPLICATIONS OF WHICH CAN BE VERY IMPORTANT.
- the Snowden story was broken by a Guardian News UK journalist, Glenn Greenwald. Greenwald has a life partner, David Miranda (how fitting, considering what happened to him).
Miranda was detained and held upon landing in the UK by British intelligence and interrogated for 9 hours, without any charges being filed. Not only did Miranda have his computer, USB flash drives, external hard drives, phone and computer games confiscated
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/.....lenn-greenwald
he was also forced to surrender his personal passwords under threat of incarceration
http://www.theguardian.com/world/20.....ntion-heathrow
- due to the threat of NSA oversight and, possibly, a sealed secret court order, the anonymous email system that Snowden used, Lavabit, has completely shut down
https://lavabit.com/
- today, due to the shutdown of Lavabit and the overall threat of email monitoring, the award-winning legal news website Groklaw as shut down, too
http://www.groklaw.net/article.php?.....30818120421175
All these stories covered in The Register. The European press is covering the fallout much better than the American news.
All this is leading up to a possible viewpoint: information is being covered up and free speech will/is being silenced, all over the world for the sake of "national security".
Paranoia isn't just a fear if someone is watching you.

It's not finished yet.
General | Posted 12 years agoAnd that title applies to many things.
The posting of Book 3 of <i>The Adventures of Nugget</i> continues, interspersed with nice pics from the 2013 Anthrocon fursuit parade. Both have quite a number of posting to go.
The mask is going back for more work. "More work? How could it possibly need more work?!", you say. Well, it has to look even more like me They didn't have enough time to put in all the minute details before the deadline of this year's AC, so back it goes to have the finishing touches - hair. Yes, hair. All over. Just like the reference picture shows, buddy - I'm a hybrid and there's (sparse) hair on that bod. Real hair is being inserted by hand to match the patterning of the reference - yum. Even moar sickatude!
It'll easily be ready for MFF / FF / FC. Can't wait to see it finished, it'll be even more of a shocker!
I'm not sure if I should do the arms though, I think I would just end up pulling it out when I have to put on my tighter outfits. I'll think it ova, the hand hair work ain't cheap and I'd hate to just rip it out in the end.
I guess I'll share something very personal: the first time I saw myself in the mask. I looked in the mirror and touched my new face...and it brought me to tears. It was the very first time I've been able to see myself in real life as I've see myself in my mind's eye, and it was simply more than I could have ever dreamed. I was overwhelmed. I am not sure if other fursuiters have had that reaction and I would love to know if they had the same experience, beyond the simple excitement of trying on something new and donning your new "alter ego". For a few moments it was a life-altering, mind expanding experience. When I see pictures of myself I still find it hard to believe that it is me. Finally, me.
I wish I could wear it out more often; wearing it is very hot but the experience of being inside it is worth every drop of sweat. I am "proud" to say that he...is me. I've never fully understood the furry definition of "otherkin" but I've been told that I am one.
Maybe I am.

AC was a blast and my most exciting ever, my first attempt at fursuiting. I met a lot of new people and they were all great! I hope to find some of them here on FA.
spottacus is a blast and is soooooo mrrrrr, I really hope I can see him again!
Louiefurrywolfy did an E. Aster Bunnymund that rocked the house!
Lots and lots of great furries and awesome suits.
Saturday was a Mathhew Ebel concert so I stopped in to listen and who was there?
Runtt, playing the drums! Good to see him, we caught up a bit. Met
ReccaWolf and lots of new people.
The sad thing is how many furs *weren't* there this year:
flatrat,
roochak, Mejeep,
silvermane,
RondoGator and almost all the people on my watch list
I put up 3 pictures with hopefully more to come.
Wow, fursuiting is tiring. Well, it's tiring when you have to stay in the suit for 6 continuous hours; for the formal suit, once I'm in, I'm in - I can't get out of the shirt without help (French cuffs) and the tailoring on the jacket turned out so exact (factored without the mask, for daily wear). So on Saturday I was locked in the suit for 6 hours straight.
Probably lost 3 pounds of water weight
I have 2 outfits I wear, casual and formal. Casual is a kilt and shirt with knee boots, formal is the custom long coat with slacks. I have also worn full latex, which means I was covered with rubber from head to toe INCLUDING my head!
I wonder if I can have legs, with matching sandal dress shoes, made up o.O I was *this* close to doing full dress with the coat and a kilt but then I realized that the full length coat completely covers a kilt, so it really doesn't work well together.
The casual outfit is warm while the formal is just short of hot; I'm in layers with a fully lined coat. Luckily years of motorcycle riding has made me used to full encasement. There is something to be said about a mascot suit where the head pulls off instantly. On my mask even the nose piercing is real - I bought an oversized barbell that passes though my nose as well as the mask! My nose was a bit sore by Sunday night.
We'll be trying for MFF and / or FC this year! Can't wait!

Past, present and future: prior events, last night & AC 2013
General | Posted 12 years agoLast night we saw and spent the evening with
RondoGator He is going back to his home town and we had to say goodbye :( Had a great time with him and his two friends and we hope to see him again, one day :hugs!:
He is going back due to issues and I hope things go well for him :hugs again:
We talked about many things and one of them was my modeling shoots, etc. So here are some info:
I did a photo shoot with Angel Colon - angeltatts on Flickr. If you have a Flickr account you can access the adult-only photo set there, otherwise it's locked from public view by Flickr's content filter.
I did volunteer modeling work for the 2012 NYC Leather Pride Night, but (as usual, it seems) they still have not posted a single image from the event. I also did the pre-event, "Sling", at Rock Bar but again, no piccies (unless you spot some, then tell me!)
I did a photo shoot, which included my custom gear, for The Baroness of NYC. If interested, go to her site https://www.baroness.com and look in the photos / custom clothing section.
AC 2013: Will be there.
Find me...if you dare
Will anyone be there? I can hope to find people! This year's schedule kinda sucks - really, July 4th weekend?! - but what can you do. It cuts my vacation in half, meaning that I can't do what I really wanted to do, but hopefully I can figure something out for the number of days I have before AC starts.
Surprises will abound. Huge surprises! Can't wait.

I guess we'll just start with posting Book 3, Page 1
General | Posted 12 years agoNow available
The next comic is finished! Also: CASH FOR ARTISTS!!
General | Posted 12 years agoThe third installment is finished, so now I have to post it.
My question is whether I post it here or do what I wanted to do: create a FA profile just for the comic, The Adventures of Nugget. If I start a new profile then I'll restart the comic, posting the first two in order then adding the new, third comic (over 20 pages!) at the end.
We hope to find numerous artists, willing to WORK FOR CASH (!! ), to make more comics in the future. Any takers?

ATTENTION ALL FURRY ARTISTS! New Adobe policy, should read
General | Posted 12 years agoMany furry artists use Adobe products, Photoshop being most likely, to create their works. I started using Adobe products via the PageMaker connection; I was an Aldus PageMaker user prior to Adobe's purchase of Aldus and followed through to InDesign for the furry graphic novels I published. Photoshop is now my main program - I do product and web photography at work and of course Photoshop is part of that workflow.
Adobe just announced yesterday that they will no longer be selling their main software design products retail - Adobe is switching to their Creative Suite subscription-based plans ONLY.
https://www.google.com/search?q=adobe+kills+retail
This means that, once CS6 is discontinued and out of retail sale, you MUST go to their monthly 'rental' plans. These plans start at $19.99/month (USD) for a single app, $29.99 USD for individual as long as already own CS3 Suite or higher, or $49.99/month if you are a new user or 'only' own CS2 or lower.
$20 to $50 per month to use Adobe software, from here out, once their CS6 distribution has finished.
If you do not wish to use the subscription only service, you must upgrade or purchase your copy of whatever Adobe program you wish to use by [edit: BY JUNE 17th] white still available at retail. Of course, whatever version you buy now - CS3, CS4, CS5 or CS6 - that is what level you will be stuck with unless you upgrade to the subscription services.
As for me?
On my personal home computer: As I have been on Windows XP for the past 9 years I have and also stayed on the same release level with my Adobe products, CS2 Web Suite (everything including the kitchen sink).
However, 3 months ago I finally treated myself to a new laptop, running Windows 7, and Acrobat 7's PDF print driver is not compatible. I also had several pieces of non-Windows 7 compatible hardware but their replacement cost was minimal and I knew that going in; one piece, the USB-Ethernet bridge device, is an important part of my system but conveniently a company introduced a brand-new, high performance Windows 7 compatible design just months before I upgraded the laptop, so all in all the hardware update went along smoothly
I was searching for PDF alternatives but now, now that I have this news, just a few minutes ago I placed an order for CS5 Design Premium Suite at 1/2 retail price (on sale!). I am now upgraded for a number of years (the upgrade is nice because Adobe RAW will now have support for my new camera as well) and will be saying "No!" to Adobe's subscription model - I'm staying put on CS5 for the foreseeable future.
Same with my work computer: I use a number of custom made, industry specific apps and even a few pieces of specialized image capture hardware devices. The software is questionable Windows 7 compatible, while the hardware positively was not compatible so I stayed on Windows XP and the same Adobe release level, CS2.
Last year I was able to upgrade to new image capture devices, thanks to new technologies and lowered costs. The new hardware is Windows 7 compatible and we are researching this upgrade as we speak. I will be upgrading the Adobe products with the new office computers and may choose the subscription model - then again, buying a full copy of CS5 Design Premium for $425, that lasts for years, is still an overall better buy.
