So i've been having a bit of a crappy week because of.. multiple reasons ugh. They're nothing to do with college though that's been great.

I don't know if anyone else has been getting these, but I am actually expecting a couple of things but not through fedex. There was a file attached to this email too which I didn't touch because i'm sure it's sinister and has some sort of virus in it.

3 days short of it being a month since I sent it away I /finally/ got my macbook back. Because of the inconvenience of the mix up and it taking an extra week and a bit to fix it, they took £60 off my bill. So now the total is £98.09 and i'll change the total I put on my page shortly.

After looking it over there was a little bit of sticky residue left on the lid from tape that had got stuck to it that was holding bubble wrap around it to protect it, and the bottom case was loose. So i've fixed both of these and tested out everything that was replaced (i'm using it right now) and everything seems to be fine! If something happens in the next 90 days then i'm covered for them to replace the parts again.

I can't tell you how happy I am to have it back. I missed having a super fast computer ;; I'm also really grateful that they took around 35% off the bill. I would have complained if they didn't ahaha.

So remember people.. DON'T LEAVE DRINKS NEAR YOUR LAPTOP! Dsghfdsj.

In the middle of February this year I paid for a custom adoptable over on dA. Everything was fine and I was happy to be getting a custom. Two months come and go and I send a note asking for an update, which doesn't get replied to but the user posts a journal a few days later saying they're on a hiatus because they're working full time and are rarely on their computer. They also said that on May 13th they have a two week vacation and that's when they'll work on the art they owe.

This was alright with me, I didn't mind waiting as long as I was updated. So May comes and goes with no commissions/custom adopts posted and then in the middle of June they make a new journal saying they're having computer problems and that they've been in hospital for the past few days. They also mention that they'll do extra art for all the people that have been waiting. I didn't comment on the journal but I still wanted the design I paid for so I decided to continue waiting.

A month or so later in July they popped up on my tumblr dash when someone I follow replied to an ask from them, so I went over to their page to see if they were active. That's where I saw an anonymous ask from someone asking when they're going to do all the art people have paid for and the answer to that was that they'd ordered a new computer and were waiting for it to arrive. This wasn't mentioned on dA but at least it was something right?

And now we're in August and almost hitting the 6 month mark since I paid. I left a comment on their page asking about the custom once more and to this day I haven't heard anything. I'm at a point where i'm not completely sure if I even want the design anymore. I've considered noting them and giving a date when I want it by or I want a refund, but then thought that might be too brash.

So i'm just a bit stuck really. Can anyone help me out?

And lastly my macbook! If you weren't already aware a month ago it got some liquid spilled on it and the keyboard and trackpad were affected, so I sent it off for repairs and got quoted a bill of £158.09.
So i've been without it since the 23rd July and I was really expecting to have had it back by now. I rang the repair place last week because I hadn't been contacted like they said I would be, and they told me it was still waiting for approval to be fixed, which wasn't right because i'd already given them the go ahead.
So I gave them the go ahead /again/ and I didn't get any update about the repairs being done. So today I rang them once more and they told me there had been some sort of mix up and it /still/ wasn't fixed but it would be done by friday, and that they'll knock some money off the bill for all the hassle.

So when I find out what the new bill will be i'll change it accordingly on my page. I really just want my mac back @______@

So I had some minor surgery today. I wasn't expecting to have it then and there but it saved me money and having to go all the way back there in a few weeks. I'm a bit sore but the procedure wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I also think I need to send my laptop in for repairs.. I'm hoping I'll find out how much it'll cost me before I do that though. I'm expecting to say goodbye to a chunk of my savings though. Thankfully my old laptop is fine so I'll be using that.

I feel really crappy about it and pissed off at myself because I didn't even spill that much on it. I checked it today and the trackpad is still acting up and about 2/3 of the keyboard doesn't work.. sigh. I basically need to replace this - link and if I knew how to take my macbook apart and if I had the tools I would do it myself, but I don't.

I'm just really down.

EDIT: This doesn't mean I can't do any art though as 99% of the time I use my older laptop to draw.

AND WHAT A DAY IT'S BEEN (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻

- Woke up really late and missed half the day argh.
- I bought the Animal Crossing 3ds xl and it'll be here in 3 days ;//A//;
- The 3ds doesn't come with a charger so I had to fork out an extra £7 on top of £190.
- I spilled pepsi max on my desk and after cleaning it all up I noticed that some of it got on my macbook's trackpad.
- Found out that the trackpad had been affected and it was stuck right clicking everything no matter what.
- Nearly cried because my applecare doesn't cover accidental spillages and i've /just/ had a part replaced on it.
- I used an air duster, tissues, screen wipes, left it upside down and let a fan blow air at it, all to try and get rid of any pepsi in it.
- My mum got honeycomb cheesecake and it was delicious and distracted me for about 5 minutes.
- Not too long ago I tried turning my macbook on to see if the touchpad is working again and IT IS but i'm still gonna leave it overnight.

Yep! I'm done with uploading some things from my deviantart to here and now everything is up to date~ I cut down quite a lot to be less annoying as I have 250 submissions (to this day) on dA @ v @;;

I'll be mentioning this on dA and possibly tumblr as well, but would anyone be interested if I opened for some art trades in the near future? I've been considering this for a while because I did them last year and I really enjoyed drawing other people's characters~ Up till recently i've not had much free time so I decided against doing them.

I also need to make/get a new avatar to replace my yucky temporary one aaa.

After lurking on this site for 3 years I think now might be a good time to start posting some art.. maybe.
