I don't know if it goes to your inboxes whenever I update my older journals, but the Anthrocon List is almost gone (feel free to check it!)~ Basically, if you ordered a BADGE, it's either complete or has been started. (None of them have been scanned yet, though, I plan on scanning them all en masse once I knock out the WHOLE list.) After that, I know I have two extreme ads to do, and then the list on my front page.
So, what does that mean for you guise?
Well, firstly, I have six credits this semester, so I don't plan on doing much art (I will still take commissions, I think what I'll do is have a 5-person waitlist, but you must be patient~<3), but, since I have a lot of reading and notes to take for all of my classes, that does mean my idle hands can still work, so I've taken up some crafts.
At FWA, I plan on having a bid for my RED intel case. What I'm going to do is set up a silent auction at my table in Artist Alley, and bidding will close Saturday night. Sunday, the winner can pick up the case and all its' contents, pay, and tell me what they'd like for the badge that will be included with it.
BASICALLY, it'll have all of the following STUFF:
The Red Intel (this thing: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3967010/ ), inside it will be this guy: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4237371/ , some pins, some important RED team documents, and a headshot OR waist-up TF2 badge of your character~. I may or may not add more stuff to that mix too. I was thinking maybe Red or Blue glowsticks or something, IDK. Maybe if the bid goes high enough, I'll also offer more art with it.
I also have a BLU intel case in the works, which I may sell for a flat price with less stuff in it, I'm not sure yet. If you've got an opinion on what I SHOULD do, let me know.

Posted 15 years ago...haha, not as serious as the title sounds, but I'm in New York for 2 weeks of my break, and what time spent with my family is spent cooped up in my room, hurrderp. I don't have all of my markers or pencils available at the moment, so I really don't have the...colour range to shade properly, but I still want to get some of my remaining orders done, SO.
Would anyone like their currently-existing order done digitally? I can offer high and medium-resolution of the sketch, in addition to the final colour, and they can be done either in a sketchy style with light shading kind of like this: http://dislocatedpenguin.deviantart.....lery/#/d2xlbfa or even this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3941248/

VERY BELATED UPDATE
Posted 15 years agoOk, so I've been missing for...quite awhile. I guess I owe everybody, especially those waiting on commissions from me, an explanation, and let me just start with the fact that I'm really sorry about that. As soon as I post this journal, I'll go through and respond to everyone's individual inquiries.
Super-backstory-time-go: So, you guys know I was going through my commission list as per usual until about mid-to-late August. That was...about when school started. Less than a week into school, I started to struggle with my work, and nothing was getting done. There was a big breakdown and freakout and I changed majors for the second time since I started college (a big deal at my school, because the program is very structured), but if you want all of the details on that, you can drop me a note, because some of it is a bit personal to me and my issues, I'll be happy to explain everything in private rather than out in the open on my journal. ANYWAY, AS I WAS SAYING, nothing was getting done. And I mean nothing; not even my classwork. I kicked my ass into gear and finally started doing classwork, but I was still not producing any art, and what little I was doing was not up to my usual par. Of course, I have very high standards for myself in terms of commissions, and everyone who commissions me deserves art of the same quality as the rest of my FA gallery, you should get what you pay for. So...I held off on it for awhile.
After a brief check-in, I dropped off of the internet from about late August to October, only picking up elsewhere again in late October. I still wasn't producing any art, even personal art. Really, the only art I've done is one birthday gift and classwork. I haven't even added any pages to my sketchbook since the end of October. So I...buried myself in school and other things and hadn't really come out of my hole until I was informed of an A_B post about me since I haven't been on here in ages.
It's finals week right now, and I have a LOT of schoolwork I need to do, which is all due very soon, then I'm going out of town for the weekend, so I can't resolve any commission stuff immediately, but I will update the Anthrocon list asap and respond to any extemporaneous comments, plus answer anyone's concerns regarding the status of commissions. I do have a couple finished on my desk that haven't been mailed out, and need to email a few people about their badges who were higher up on the list and I haven't sent theirs out.
Anyway, I understand if anyone is disillusioned, but I do suppose this has been a bit of a wake-up call for me, and I think I may stick to commissions for crafts in the future, and selling things I have pre-made. My TOS at the moment, (I run business slightly differently at cons, but at FWA, if I go, I'm planning on just selling pre-made things, like pawprint scarves and pins. If I do badges, I may only take 5 or so, and they'll be at-con work ONLY) says I don't require payment until the sketch is done; I suppose I can modify that to be I only require half-payment when the sketch is done...then full payment after the person receives the art. Feel free to leave a comment if you have an opinion on this too...
Um, not much else to say other than if anyone NEEDS theirs done by a certain date, let me know, and feel free to keep prodding me about the status of your art, even if it's not urgent! A lot of my contact info is right here on my FA and you can always feel free to keep messaging me about everything, the most efficient way (because I apparently missed a few twitter notifs and emails) is probably MSN or AIM, or skype (which is also DislocatedPenguin).
I apologize again for all of the waiting and any concern this may have caused, I can upgrade some commissions to nicer versions of the same art if anyone wants, or, if anyone still feels cheated, I can give partial refunds if anyone REALLY wants, but I don't have the fundage to refund everyone right now.

I want to thank everybody for their patience, I know it kinda sucks, but I've been trying to cut back on my internet time so I can focus on the usual boring RL stuff like personal projects, school, and the like. /Usual, boring excuses. Derp.

vani, who is camerashy and isn't in any of those photos, booked a room for us at the Wingate Hotel in Atlanta, and all they had left was a SUITE. That's right, a suite. SO. We're looking for roomies. Here's the deal. Right now, it's just the two of us, so it's $120-ish a person. If we get two roomies, it'll be around $60 a person for the weekend. If we can get FOUR roomies, it'll be $45 a person for the weekend. Six...and...we'll do the math. Right now, we just want people to join up with us, so it's as cheap as possible. This room is for Friday night AND Saturday night.
OK, now it's time for me to get all Fairly Oddparents up in your shit.
THA RULES:
No booze, the person paying for the room is not of legal age.
No drugs, we don't want to get in trouble with the hotel.
No sex, because this is a big room, but it's still a SINGLE ROOM, and we'd like to be able to sleep.
Please be courteous to your fellow roomies! Despite being a total insomniac, I'm a cosplayer, and I like being able to sleep.
No ordering room service, because Ash will be the one charged for it. If there are enough people hanging around and we have the munchies, we'll order chinese or something. I'll try to bring mountain dew and snacky foods, but you're welcome to bring some of your own as well!

Spycrab-crab! and Commissions Re-Opened!
Posted 15 years agoOkay! Now that I'm working on commissions again and my list is down to a manageable size, I've re-opened for commissions! To make sure that everyone gets their work quickly, I'm only taking five slots at the moment. I also bought lamination paper last night, so I'll get everyone's completed work mailed out. Sorry for the wait!

~ I will NOT draw any of the following:
- Pornography
- Extreme fetish art (fat fetish, excessive bondage, etc. You can ask for a little, but use discretion.)
~ If what you want isn't on either of these lists, feel free to ask!
~ I reserve the right to reject your commission for any reason before it has been paid.
~ I reserve the right to not complete work beyond a preliminary sketch before I have received payment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q; If I commission you, how long is the wait?
A; Depends on my queue. If I just got back from a con, it may be longer than if you commission me during the year. Also, during the school year the wait may be a little longer, because school work is priority. If you need your commission by a certain date, let me know!
Q: Why do you charge different prices at a convention than you do for online commissions?
A: At a convention, there are two reasons I will sit down in the artist's alley. One being I showed up to make money to begin with, and the other being that I'm out of money. Typically, I will charge more than I do online because I treat con work as a priority. Posted 15 years agoHey everyone! I want to get my commissions done ASAP, but this is the first time I've racked up a queue like this before, and my last few badges haven't been as nice as I would have liked. D:
Therefore, I'm going to take two or three days off and try to get re-inspired, so the rest of the badges on my list come out nice and awesome. I'm sure if I kept going at this rate, I COULD finish them, but I honestly wouldn't be proud of them myself, and I want to do work that's up to par or even better than my art for myself.
Also, if I promised your commission would be completed before Megaplex, be assured that it still will be, this hiatus should only be 2-3 days, then I'll be back in full swing, I've just lost my art bug for the mo. D:

Some of my plans for Metrocon fell through and now I'm looking for space in a hotel room, for myself and one of my non-furry classmates (she's super chill though). We're both okay with sleeping on the floor if need be, and all that.

Posted 15 years agoBeen kinda depressed and worried about a lot of things this week for silly reasons, so sorry that I've slowed down the flow of art and stuff.
I'm still working on a lot of badges, including the TF2 set I've been spamming everyone's updates with.
I pre-registered for AC today, so I plan on being there with my TF2 badge spread and art supplies. Just look for the BLU Sniper/BLU Scout with the RED intel case full of art junk and a tired grin. (Still thinking of going without a hotel room, because I REALLY don't want to dish out the money for one, but it IS a four-day con and I'd like somewhere to dump my stuff and take at least one nap. Decisions, decisions.)
That said, it IS summer, and I plan on getting a LOT of art done, so I'm still open for commissions if anyone wants one. Right now my turnaround is three days or less, so if you want something fast, I can do it!

Back from Elliott's!

Anyway, I was REALLY surprised by how many people called me out as Scout. I might just spend every fur con I attend in TF2 cosplay. I love TF2 cosplay, and I loved just how many people enjoyed me and my bonkyness and shenanigans. At one point even my intel case was stolen, so I had to sprint all around the hotel to get it back. That, and some dude who was a normal bro in the elevator pointed out my handwraps and asked me if my hands were okay.
I'm really sad that Megaplex is the same weekend as Metrocon, and AFO is the same weekend as Elliott's Summer. Since I planned on going to more conventions, I might have some extra money to spend, so I'm actually considering going to Anthrocon. Like, seriously considering. IDK though, it might be a little much. I don't know if I legitimately have that kind of money.
All that said, I'm totally open for commissions. BITCH, I NEVER CLOSED.
I'll post a commission info journal later, right now I'm borrowing a computer, and I think I should wait til I get back to Sarasota for that, but if anybody is interested, let me know.

Posted 15 years agoOkay, I'm done flooding everyone's inboxes with updates right now. I love drawing those extreme sketches. I might offer to do some as commissions at Elliot's, but they're actually more time-consuming than badges and stuff, so I'll have to think about that.

I've discovered I'm super-masterful at breaking my scout headsets as I make them, herp a derp. I'll be all set up to be the butt-end of about fifty million your mom jokes while I'm there.
Anyway, as for normal life stuff that you don't care about, I now live in a super-spiffy new place with, it's got a kitchen and two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a living room and a patio that's way overgrown with leaves. The only real downside to it is that we don't have any internet yet, and thus I'm left crawling over here to the lab like the pathetic little loser I am every day, even though the lab is only open 9am to 4pm, which is just...not enough time for me. I need the internet all the time, I'm addicted to the technology, urk.

Posted 15 years agoBy a string of weird, somewhat bad decisions, I'm now in Alabama. I'll be leaving tomorrow night for New York, then hopefully heading back to Florida for ELLIOT'S FUCK YEAH.
And uh...yeah, that's the plan.
I've been working on more examples of badges and sketches and doodles and stuff so I hopefully have something to show for myself, but it's all traditional, so nothing will be scanned until probably when I get back to Florida, herp a derp. I just got over a MASSIVE art block, so I really haven't produced much in awhile. (I'm such a bad art student, OTL.) There's some prop designs and random shit over on my photobu-I MEAN MY DEVIANTART (http://dislocatedpenguin.deviantart.com), but like I said, I really haven't produced much. I've been trying to hone my traditional skills in preparation for the massive art fest that will be Elliot's for me.

In all honesty, I'm a bit of a noob to the furry fandom, but I'm not new to making costumes, nor am I new to fandoms in general. I love cosplaying, and currently have three costumes in-progress, because it's just that fun. <3
Anyway, right now is a big transitional time for me. It's the end of a semester, I'm finishing up a lot of old stuff, I'm starting a lot of new projects, and I'm moving out of my crappy, on-campus apartment, to an awesome new place with. I know I haven't posted much art as of late, but that'll hopefully change once May rolls around!
