Ok, I originally wanted to post this journal tomorrow,
when I'd be all fresh and relaxed but somehow I can't sleep DX

Since I was recently struck by a flash of inspiration,
I started on involving myself into all kinds of art that came across my way,
including music (I play bass, guitar and cello), poetry/writing and acting
(what I study after all) :D

Short things short, after picking up the pencil for the first time a few month ago,
I am now in the state of mind where I'd like to share what I do with YOU guys
and for that purpose I have created myself an alternative account here on FA :)

"Stryk" (link at the bottom of my info pannel) is meant to carry my future projects,
as a platform to share whatever I end up doing and for criticism and advice,
which I'll hopefully recieve by everyone who gives a fuck =P

So don't be shy, give it a lick and maybe even watch it if you are curious,
I will try and dedicate as much time as I have to get more things done
and progress with my work :3

Okay, NOW I finally should be able to make my way back
into being an active part of the community.

After being busy like hell (ok, I still am)
with Uni work and trying to deal with life as it changed,
I think I got the things that needed sorted
and can now turn to more enjoyable stuff again.

I just wanted to replace my former journal with something more cheerful,
and figured to use the opportunity to gush a lil bit of sweet love at my mate <3

I am really proud of my Uki lately ^.^

She managed to tackle her down-phase over art and found with the Iron Artist challenge something,
that could give her a good portion of ambition and motivation for art again and she's doing so well :)

As a positive side-effect, she earns good money through it and yesterday was finaly the moment for her,
to plug her brand new pc in, which she ordered a week earlier *g*

Even for me this was a very happy situation, because she was wishing for a new one since I know her,
but I was never realy able to help her financing one, due to lack of my own liquidity xD

So ya basically:  ultraviolet You rock and keep on going, lady <3

After almost 2 years (at least I think so) absence on FA,
I consider myself back on duty from now on :3

The last few weeks were enormously stressy and weird,
but I went through it and now I am back home,
determined to start concentrating again on the things I really want :)

First of all, thanks to everyone who watched me, favourited my stuff,
wrote any interesting kind of journal and most importantly thanks to all the artists,
who drew the awesome art I have missed and which I am now able to enjoy all at once *g*

Okay, first of all, THANKS to all people who have helped me with my flat problem, I wouldn't know where I would be now without you :3

As the miracle as it is, 20 minutes after UV (special thanks to you as well, you rock and you know it <3) put this journal up for me, I tripped over a nice room om Martkplaats.nl, phoned immediately, went for a look and today I sit here with the contracts.

Tomorrow I'll turn them in and theeen, get my keys :D

I am so happy and relieved right now, after days of not getting any reaction at all and looking at stinky, small, shabby and overpriced rooms it finaly worked out :)

Sorry to the people from the NL-fur list, I actually must have gotten the purpose of the list wrong and thought that you people actually have accomodation to rent, but apparently it meant that you are just living here, my bad ^^;

Anyways, things are looking good again, now I just hope I have passed my dutch exams and then I am free to study here in Utrecht from the 6th of september on :)

*yaaawn* Aaah well, it's precisely 4.20 in the morning,
and I can't sleep any longer xD

Mostly to get rid of the previous, massive (in retrospective far too emo looking) journal, I have decided to give everyone who gives a fuck a little update on things ^_^

Tomorrow in one week (so the 25th of June) I will see my future hometown, Utrecht in the Netherlands, for the first time (sounds ridiculous, I know xD) and will spend from then on the next 6 weeks on the local campus, to learn dutch :)

I actually put a lot of hopes and ideas in this comming period of my life,
such as: finding a band, getting into active acting again, doing more sports, finding my creative spark (I know, I must have left it somewhere on the way :/) and most importantly, finding new friends and experiencing things I didn't have experienced before!

Long story short, I will try to find my gap to fill in the dutch community, I am looking forward to see you guys and hope an idiot like me willl be given a warm welcome *har har* x3

Alright folks, it's time for a little announcement :3

It's been almost 3 years now, since I have made my first steps on FA
and I think exactly 3 years now, since my first contact with the fandom ever.

Like most of us, I have been nervous, insecure, naive and easy to manipulate.

The first few (german) furries I have ever met were, with some exceptions,
a big disappiontment and I couldn't have gone worse with my first impression.

So after some experiences with elite-furs,
who hate on everyone who doesn't share their attitude,
typical wannabe-misterious "I am a wolf in a humans body"-furs,
who behave like idiots and those hypocrites who impress newbies
with the bunch of commissions of their character,
they've paid from mommys and daddys money,
just to get a cheap ons out of them (Yes, I have been very naive),
I ended up with a clear attitude towards the majority of the fandom
and my relation to it.

(To whoever feels offended now: I don't give a fuck! x3)

Back then, I had people talking me into things,
people trying to stuff me into patterns of "species"
(I had no fursona / character back then)
and people using my insecurity towards the fandom,
to hold me down and to make me feel like they are better than me
and that I don't belong among them.

Well, these times are over,
I have changed a lot within the last 3 years, since the beginning.
I have made real friends here,
elaborated my own attitude about things and most importantly, found love <3

So in a nutshell:
I became more aware about who I am, what I want and also who I want to be :)

Of course, such changes don't pass you by untouched,
I have morphed mentaly and physicaly
and since my characters/sonas represent parts of my personailty,
it's inevitable for them to change as well.

Those of you, who might remember Joshua,
(my first character) in his original concept,
may have recognized that the physical changes about him already have applied,
and that I have been in constant progress to change and form him.

These changes will find their completion now with a very drastic,
but for me necessary change.

His name will change from "Joshua", to something that represents more of myself,
my likings, my person and makes it more obvious, what I want him to resemble.

It might be hard to change for those of you,
who have constantly known me as Joshua
and some may not like what I made out of him,
but after all ... that is my decision and no one elses
and those of you who know me to a certain extend, will understand ^_^

The second thing I have to announce is,
that I have just completed the making of my second character.
The first image of "Alexey Argyle" has been uploaded yesterday and I am glad,
for the positive reactions on him and his design :)

While Joshua (this is btw. the last time I'll officially call him like that),
is more an abomination of my wishes, feelings and emotions,
Alexey resembles more what I am on the outside.

It is likely, that I will use Alexey from now on more often in pictures
and commissions than Joshua,
for the simple fact that I have a more "practical" connection to him.

Joshua was more a character of the heart and soul, that I needed to express myself,
but Alexey has been created out of the urge,
to show myself as a person and living creature.

On the other hand, he shows my deep link to Ultraviolet, her art and her personality.
She granted me the unique chance to create myself an Ukimori character,
a species she holds very dear as her own creation, by giving up on one of her own.
To express the gratitude I can not express,
I will make him my main character from now on :3

UV and Joshua though, are still mates and will remain like that :3

~ Break! ~

As far as personal changes go, I can say that I am quite happy at the moment ^_^

My 9 month of national service (overwirking for underpayment),
are finaly over and I am free to care a little more about myself.

I have found a place to study what I always wanted,
(Theater and Film) at Utrecht in the Netherlands
and will be living there from the 1st of September on,
after I have passed my dutch language course,
which I will attend to in the Utrecht Summerschool :3

So for all the dutch furs out there (maybe even students),
I'll be joining you soon and if you are interested to help me setting foot,
or even just for saying "hi", you are welcome to contact me, I'd apprechiate it :)

Before all that happens though,
I will fly over to england for the whole month of may,
to spend a good time with my friends before the stress starts ^^;

Phew ... I guess that was all and probably the longest journal I'll ever write x3

Well, for those who have noticed or cared: I am not dead ^^;

For the most part, I am working 9 1/2 hours per day for a job which pays me even under the minimum wage, because it's civil work for the great state of germany, which I am forced to do until march 2010.

Apart from that, I am trying to apply for university and got the old feeling of worthlessness creeping up on me, I have to face the old "You are uncreative, untalented and in general not worth the life you live" demons ...

Due to this given situation, I have to cut back on a lot of things ...

Food, sleep, friends, FA etc. because in the tiny bit of free time I have left, I have to take care of the things I can't at work, which are mostly attempts to find solutions for urgent problems around here ...

Problems I mostly caused myself, because as if the situation is not hard enough already, I have developed the trait to snap at those who want to help me :/

So it will take me some time to find back to a scedule which gives me time and muse to deal with Art aund Furry again, but well ... it's not like I am an artist or such and people would miss me doing art, I am actually just existing on FA and that's how my life in general goes right now, I am just here and do what I gotta do.

Yay, after almost 6 month I first logged on on FA, I am able to celebrate my first thousand Pageviews and, in addition to this, my first Journal :P

Well, all I want to say at this point is that I love you all and thank you for giving me such a good entry in the fandom <3

I met lots of great people and even made some new friends here and I never expected this to turn out such far, but I still get excited everytime I log on and see a new PM, a Shout or just a new pic of one of the many great artists here on FA :)

In this sense, I send 3 cheers for all of you and lift my paws in the air, proud of being a part of this community!
