Before you actually read my journal about commissions, I realise I was jumping the gun horribly on my commissions thing. Took some advice from a couple of friends who've all done commissions before, and I think I should follow their advice to the letter.

So I made a Paypal the other day, and after a bit of thought, I've decided to open up sketch commissions! I won't take a lot cause I'm still busy studying, but I'll take enough to keep my paws busy for a while.

Here's the price list I've thought up:

THINGS TO NOTE


- Since this is my first outing at actually doing commissions, I'm keeping it simple (after some proper advice from a good friend) so I can gently ease into commissions instead of jumping in like a derpyderp.

- This price list will be SUBJECT TO CHANGE in the near future, so don't be surprised if the prices have gone up/down.

- PLEASE DON'T PAY ME FIRST. Until I have the time and effort to commit myself to doing commissions, all the orders I get from you guys will be ORDER FIRST, PAY LATER. Once I accept your order, don't send me your money first, for reasons of I want to be as honest as I can with this process.

- I will send you a WIP of the picture after I've spent some time on it, just so you can see what I'm doing. If you don't like it, you can ask me to make your changes so I don't waste any time when I'm nearly done. It'll be better for both of us this way.

- I will only ask for payment after I'm FINISHED with the piece. I will inform you by way of FA NOTE, which will have my Paypal email in it for you to make your payment to.

- These are all TRADITIONAL PIECES only. I don't have the spare time right now to actually learn and practice colouring AND digital art, so I have to make do with pencils and paper for now.

You can watch me play games/do arts on here when I announce a Stream~ Mostly play games though, since I have yet to actually start digitally doing things with SAI.

Though, actually doing an art stream will help me start on digital art. :)

Getting close to 2k pageviews, so I'm considering another kiriban. One, maybe two drawings for those who give me screenies of the right pageviews.

So, I'll be giving away two full inked sketches, drawn in pencil then inked in pen, to the two lucky furs that give me a screenshot of my 2001st pageview and my 1997th pageview.

I'm thinking of setting up a Paypal account for paid commishes. I was wondering if I could get opinions on the prices for my art. I'll take the best sounding suggestions, ponder over it, then post another journal with the confirmed prices. I'll also put a list of the confirmed prices up on my FA profile for those who won't bother with the journals.

The paid commishes won't replace my requests. Requests are still free, for now. The paid commishes will take the form of weekly or monthly themes that I will update via journal. Slots will be sold depending on the type of request and the medium.

Prices that I thought of using :

USD$1 for a simple pencil sketch, shaded and detailed up.
USD$2 for a traditionally inked and shaded picture, done first in pencil then inked and shaded with art pen.
USD$2.50 for a digitally inked picture, pencil sketch first then lineart done in SAI
USD$3.50 for a digitally coloured picture, flat colours, no shading.

Not gonna charge for coloured and shaded pics first. Still working on getting shading right in digital media. So the shading's gonna remain with my pencil sketches for now. And the charges for digital pics will not come into effect until I figure out a suitable time frame for doing up art.

Also, one last rule I'll have for paid commishes : Don't pay me until you receive the art piece. Then you can pay me.

Anyone have any opinions? Think my prices are too low for a starter? Maybe should be higher? Just comment, I'll look over them.

I will be sending all of my older submissions into my scraps, and possibly deleting several of the lousier ones for good. So if you want to see my older and earlier works, before my stylistic change, check my scraps.
