Hopefully you've been paying attention to my kickstarter and you already know that it has 15 days left. WE're making progress and we're very close to reaching that 10% mark. The more progress is made, the more likely family members etc will also pledge so I'm hoping that we can keep this up!
Remember! you get goodies for pledging!
What does $35 get you? WELL if you pledge $35+ you get all the finished pages sent to you as they're done. SOrt of like a web-comic perk for pledging.
There are many higher tiers and you can even get your character put into the comic!
I really encourage everyone to go take a look and pledge any spare change they have. If possible, I'd like to reach $1100 by tonight so we can be at that 10%! ANd if you cant pledge anything, even just $1, spreading the word means a whole lot. (and dont forget to check out my previous journal about that)

Posted 12 years agoSo like I mentioned earlier, my schedule for fall and spring semester will give me time to work on my comic as long as I get it backed. The kickstarter is finally up and I'm trying to spread the word as fast as possible. There are many many pledge options that will hopefully interest many of you. Below is the link to the kickstarter.

I've submitted an Ad to FA to host for the next 19 days to spread the word as well but I ask that if any of you are fans of my art, please spread the word in any way possible. Even the tiniest pledges matter and could help. If all my watchers pledged just $1, the project would be a fifth funded alone. So please help me out and spread the word ;u; This project is really important to me and the only thing now that I need to really sit down and get it down is whether its backed or not (since i would need a job otherwise and couldn't have time for the comic.)

Posted 12 years agoLast week my finals ended but so tomorrow I'm taking advantage of my actual summer /vacation/ and getting the hell away for a week. I'll be visiting Savannah GA for my own Artcation. What is an Artcation? Its exactly what it sounds like. I'll be on a vacation to do art. I bought a new sketchbook and I will fill up the whole thing in 5 days with everything possible. Its something I've always wanted to do and I think I will be able to improve in areas I need to work on. I'll be working on humans specifically as I really need to push my skill in drawing them further. I think it will be a very cleansing artistic exercise and Im excited to apply the results to my art after I return next week. (i also wont have access to the internet most of the week just fyi so if you have a question, I hope it can wait till the 12th.
I also will have my kickstarter for my comic up soon as well and it will be up for 20 days. I'll be posting a link to it as soon as its up too. Im gonna be advertising it as much as possible ;u;
My queue is really short so as soon as I get back, I"ll be finishing everything thats current, up real fast as well. I hope everyone is doing well! See you all in a week!

Posted 12 years agoHey guys! After wanting to do the stream session idea, it started to sound a bit more fun to do a bigger auction so thats what I'm gonna try! The auction starts at a 2.5 hour stream and goes up in time depending on the price. the winner will get to work out a time with me during the week of August 12th-16th and the stream can be split into 2+ different occasions if the time exceeds 5 hours. The stream(s) will be public or private based on the winners choice.

Megaplex recap+ other important news concerning art schedule
Posted 12 years agoWell first of all, Megaplex was great! Not the most exciting con and honestly didnt hold a candle to last years MP fun wise BUT I'm glad to say that this was my most successful con profit wise and I'm really happy about that. You can count me coming back next year! SHout out to
and everyone else who made the con great and not just business. Saturday night was the best with our Kyoto dinner party. Great group of people at the con but I just spent most of the weekend doing work so thats that. (but it paid off so no worries)However due to some school issues it looks like I will only be taking one class in the fall semester and spring semester of next year. I will be getting a job UNLESS i can manage to do art full time instead. The latter would obviously be my preference. I would also really like to attend MFF this year since I wont have to deal with the awful finals week stress.

Posted 12 years agoHey! So it seems last minute I'll have the opportunity to make some button for the con to sell and I was wondering what sort of things you'd like on buttons! I cant do any custom ones since i wont have the button maker at the con with me but I plan on doing a handful of premade ones. So what are some of your favorite pokemon,digimon, ponies etc that youd buy a button of? Any other ideas? Any feedback is appreciated.

Posted 12 years agoHey everyone! While everyone was running around enjoying Pittsburg, I was playing Pokemon cards up in Indianapolis for Nationals. I had an amazing weekend and placed 72nd in the entire tournament. But now I'm back home and back to the grind. I'll be trying to get 1-2 digital pieces done a week with school since almost everything left is a larger piece. I also will open up for a couple badge preorders next week before megaplex. So I'll be knocking out as much art as possible soon.

Hiatus/update (BE BACK IN A WEEK!)
Posted 12 years agoHey! So if you guys didn't catch my previous journal, I will not be attending Anthrocon this year. I'll be competing at the Pokemon TCG National Championship in Indianapolis. I'll be back monday night and should be back to chipping away at art on tuesday/wednesday.
Art for the last week has been super slow and I apologize. I started the second half of summer with 3 classes so that takes up 6+ hours of my day four days a week (not including hw) and lately I've been trying to practice a lot for the tournament coming up. My point being that while art has been slow, it will speed up a bit in a week. I'd like to get all owed art done before Megaplex creeps up.
I won't be online while I'm away on the trip so if you have any questions, feel free to note me and I'll respond tuesday. Otherwise have safe travels to all of you going to AC! See you in a week!

Sorry guys. I'll miss all my fuzzies next weekend at AC. Make sure you all eat spicy chicken for me and bathe a least once a day!

Commission slots closing soon!
Posted 12 years agoI just wanted to give everyone a heads up who was thinking of snagging a commission slot during my summer sales. I have a ton of sketches, icons and chibis still open (although my larger slots are almost full! just one more left). Since in a little over a week I'm going to starting 3 summer classes which are going to kick my buuuuttt. also I've got to get ready for Pokemon TCG National Competition and Megaplex (which I /will/ open up badge preorders for) so basically I wont be taking anymore commission slots after wednesday July 19th. after that i wont be taking any new ones (besides badge preorders) until after summer.

Posted 12 years agoJust wanted to give a heads up that I'm gonna be working on commissions all day until I go to PKMN TCG league at 6est and I'll be back probably between 11est and midnight when I'm gonna stream more commissions. The last few days have been kinda hectic and I want to catch up on art as much as possible since my final project and exam for my current class are next week and then im getting thrown right into 3 classes for the second half of summer aha (which is when all open commission slots will be closing btw. Posted 12 years agoOkay so I found out today that my summer loans will not disperse until the first or second week of July. That's great cause my spring semester loans ran out already. I'd rather not have to borrow buckets of money from my parents who are currently busying constructing a new home with the little money they have. SO I'm turning to commissions and am ready to work extra hard and extra long to get a ton of them done between now and early july. I only have one class right now so I should be able to work extra hard.
Here are my current commission prices
My goal is $1000usd. I know its steep but if I could make that I would be fine until loans tbh.
