I took a bit of time away with 2022 being a rough year.
2023 has been pretty awesome so far, and I'm wading my way back toward there furry community.

Maybe it's time to try my hand at drawing again.
Maybe I'll be bold enough to try FWA this year...

Drawing practice continues!

As it does, I'd love to get more practice with different species, body types, poses, etc. With that being said, I've had a few friends offer to let me try drawing their OC's which I'm both flattered and grateful for.

What I'd love to do also is essentially open up requests. I'm not great and I haven't been at it for long. But, practice makes perfect.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that we are. I've been celebrating my birthday lazily and doing a lot of drawing... as well as treating myself to a couple new pieces. I'll be getting those posted up here in the next few minutes,.

One fun new development as part of the week's Birthday festivities: I had the wonderful fortune of being gifted an iPad and Apple Pencil. After getting a bunch of practice with my old Wacom tablet on my computer, I have quickly jumped on to experimenting with the iPad. I'm growing more confident and happy with the drawings I'm making, so more should be getting posted soon!

Also, I'm open to suggestions. I'm open to ideas of what to draw to give me different approaches to what I'm learning. Send 'em on!

It's been 3+ years since I've been active around FA in any capacity.

My last journal was a post saying I was trying to practice drawing and I didn't stick with it. I did pick my stuff back up last week though!

Been trying to get myself at least 30 minutes of practice per day. I'm hoping to bring my stuff up to a sharable quality eventually and dip into some bigger proportions for fatty/preggo goodness.

If you see me post up doodles, please feel free to drop a comment or message with some pointers if you feel inclined!

I know I haven't been active on here much in the past couple of years... But that's how life goes sometimes.

I've finally come back around to a handful of artistic endeavors. Costuming and propmaking mostly in the past few months, but in the past couple of weeks, my attention has returned to drawing on a digital medium. I've discovered how awesome a tablet can be for making a pattern for my costumes.

I'm also starting to practice a little bit here and there with doodling some of my own characters. As I'm not that trained or practiced, I'm starting a few steps behind the fundamentals. I'm going to challenge myself to spending some time each day sketching. Hopefully before too long, I'll finally have a product that I'm not too self-conscious about sharing :P

While I'm sitting at work waiting to trudge through the rest of the time in the day, I'm trying to distract myself a little bit :P

For this distraction... I'm thinking about getting another commission done since I get paid at the end of this week... I have a pokemorph character I have been wanting to have drawn and I think it's high time I act on it!

Anyone have any artist suggestions or preferences for pokemon types?

I picked up a Wacom Bamboo CTE-650 for free thanks to a promotion eBay was doing last month. I sold an old smartphone and got a code this morning for a $50 coupon for an eBay purchase through paypal. It ended up being free and so was the shipping! I'm excited!

So I just spent the weekend at DragonCon and ha a blast. This event keeps getting bigger and better every year and I'm so glad I could afford to start coming back last year. The costumes were amazing, panels I managed to get into were very informative, and i had some pretty good luck when I made my way over to the gaming floor this weekend.

I hope everyone else has had an awesome weekend as well... but for now, I'm gonna go home and go to sleep for the next day and a half
