Posting Art frustrations.(Small rant.)
Posted 10 months agoPosting art should be simple, right? Just upload the file and boom, done. That’s it. Easy.
Oh, wait. FurAffinity says the file size limit is 10MB, so now I have to lower the resolution or compress the image into oblivion. Hope you like your art with a side of crunchy dithering!
Fine, whatever. I’ll just post it somewhere else, like X/Twitter. They’ve got a bigger file size limit, so it should be fine! Except… oh no, it’s not. The platform converts everything into JPEGs and decides, “Hey, let’s randomly mess with the colors, too!” Why? Idfk!
Okay, okay. DeviantArt will save the day, right? Great file size limit, no weird color conversions, perfect! Except then you remember it’s DeviantArt, home to some of the most toxic, bizarre communities you’ve ever seen. Oh, and let’s not forget, by uploading, you’re helping their AI art generator, so random people can crank out generic garbage and sell it like they did all the work. Cool, cool, cool.
And now everyone’s jumping ship to Bluesky, which sounds promising until you realize… the file size limit sucks there, too. Awesome.
Honestly, I’m just tired. Posting art used to be easy, but now it feels like a chore. Every site has its own pros and cons. Its quite a nuisance.
I recently found out, even Discord isn’t a great place to archive your library of art.
Im not even sure if I wanna set up a telegram.
I just want to post my art without it turning into an uphill battle. Is that too much to ask? Apparently it is.

A lot of things have changed to where it wouldn't be far-fetched to say I'm not the same person I was 2 years ago. I've become a bit of a shut-in due to work and school, and the bills that pile up.
It's been difficult to maintain a social life online; when I'm constantly stressed out over the littlest of things. I sometimes will just turn off my phone and ignore all notifications. Scared I might say the wrong thing to someone, especially in a fandom where everyone's interactions and interpretations are different. It's exhausting trying to remember every 'dos and don'ts' with people I've interacted with in this fandom just to avoid a negative interaction.
As for my art stuff. I've decided to put a halt on all commissions indefinitely. Back in 2021 I learned building a career in art is hard and maintaining that career is even harder. It's emotionally draining and sucks the joy out of actually making it when it becomes a job. So I've decided to get a minimum wage job and focus more on that than 3d animation; this is just to make ends meet.
I'll still be around in this fandom and you're always free to note me or join my discord server if you ever wanna poke me. But I will be withdrawn and isolated 60% of the time, so responses may be slow.

Size portals theory/questions. (Fun think session)
Posted 4 years agoI had some weird thoughts and I wanted ti make a journal about it.
I have a few interesting question/theories about size portals that even Glados would be intrigued.
1)
Setup: You are in a room, with a portable fan. You open the size portal to the wall next to you. Through it is a large city scape, the portal stands horizontally and looms tall over approximately 2500 meters(around 8200 feet) tall.
You turn on the fan, and send the force of air through the portal.
Question: “Would that force of wind/air impact the the city scape?”

Setup: You have a portable small portal in the palm of your hand. Its on a tablet plate thing that can move around freely, with the portal on its surface. It is just wide enough to stick your arm through it.
Next to you is the portal that connects to the small portable portal, only much larger, standing 16 feet tall. The larger portal is stationary.
You reach your arm through the small portal and grab yourself through the large portal, firming gripping your entire body with your hand, with your arm going through the small portable portal through the large big portal.
Question: “What would happen if you pull yourself through???”

Setup: You are in a air tight room. The air is dense, pressure is built all around the small chamber.
The portal next to you is a normal sized portal, 6 feet tall.
The portal then opens abruptly to a large cityscape!
Question: “Would the air from the air tight room create a vacuum effect, rupture the land like a bomb just from the shock?”

Setup: “You have a large portal on the ground before you. You look up to see a smaller portal just above you!
You jump through the large portal.
Question: “Would you shrink forever?”
These are are random ideas I thought of. But don’t give other people these ideas, cause people would steal them!!!
