DON'T HATE ME!!!
General | Posted 14 years agoHey y'all. Just proving I'm still alive.
I still have 2 outstanding commissions that I'm trying to get to work on. They will get done guys promise.
So....I'm sure you guys are gunna shake me over this....but....
clamcrusher
clamcrusher
clamcrusher
So while at FC, I got a commission from the ever awesome
cooner. For reference, I left my Doc Marcus badge with him. Immediately, people start recognizing me by my FC badge that said "Clamcrusher" on it. I got recognized left and right. So after some deliberation and asking around, I've decided to make a new account with the name people actually recognize me with.
I'm not going to delete this gallery. I'm still not sure I'm gunna go through the headache of transferring the old art. I know it drives me crazy seeing new posts of really old artwork that I've seen ages ago.
Anyway, just letting you guys know that the new art will be posted to this new account. I'll probably make a submission later with similar info for people who don't actually read journals.
Come watch! :D

Another Update!
General | Posted 14 years agoHey you guys. Just letting you all know I didn't die.
The past two weeks have been crazy. Got a new job, went on a week long vacation to see the folks, and got a new room mate. Busy busy busy. Now Keggy and I are going to see his family this weekend for the 4th. I promise to get my ass back on commissions as soon as shit finally settles down D:

Keeping Y'All Updated
General | Posted 14 years agoGreat news guys! I finally found a job. I got hired on as a production artist for Fast Signs here in Austin. I'm pretty stoked about it. Nothing glamorous. It's essentially the job I left in Dallas, with some new stuff tacked on for good measure and doing it for a bigger company.
Any who, I'm letting you guys know because it's gunna slow the output of my commissions now that I don't have the days to work on them. This doesn't mean I'm gunna stop doing them by any means. I will just have less time to work on them. I've still got a few more of this batch to take out before I start taking some new ones.
One again, I wanna say thank you to those of you who did get commissions from me. Y'all probably made sure we had a roof to go over our heads the past few months.

General | Posted 14 years agoI assume you are like me and like to jam while you draw. What do you listen to? I like to use pandora.com in the background while I'm drawing and make stations from bands like Bond.
10 COMMISSION SLOTS OPEN!!!!
General | Posted 14 years agoIT'S THAT TIME AGAIN!
Alrighty guys. First off, I wanna say thanks to those that have ordered commissions from me. You guys helped us survive another month. This seems to be working pretty well for me, and it's keeping me drawing, so I'm gunna do my best to keep it up. There were however some hiccups.
I had one or two people claim a slot and then wait almost two weeks to tell me what I'm even drawing for them. I'm trying to keep this moving as quickly as possible and would prefer not having to wait around for you to get back to me. Also FA's notes are proving to be a bit of a pain in the ass to use to keep up with the commission information. So this is what we're gunna do.
From now on I will do the sketch first. Once it is satisfactory, I will finish the piece, however if you only order a sketch, I will ask for the payment upfront. Once my 10 slots are filled, I will post a new journal with the names of those who got the slots and do my best to keep it up to date.
Following is a form to fill out. If you'd like a commission from me, please fill out this form COMPLETELY and EMAIL it to me at clamcrusher.commission(at)gmail.com. If any of the fields are ignored, your email will be ignored. If you manage to claim one of the slots I have open, you will receive a reply with my paypal email account that you can send your payment to. Remember, any notes via FA will be ignored. Copy what's in between the dotted lines into your email.

Hey Commissioners!
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm looking at my list and it's gradually getting more open. I'll be announcing more slots hopefully fairly soon. To those who have paid and haven't told me what I'm drawing for you. I need you guys to notify me so I can get a move on. D: I'm not trying to be an ass, but I have other people who want art. I want to knock out my current list before I start taking more.
Commission Update
General | Posted 14 years agoHey all. First off, wanna say thanks to those who hopped on board to help me out with my money issues by commissioning me. It's been really helpful. Those of you who got a slot and haven't told me what I'm drawing for you. Please let me know. I'm trying to move through these as fast as possible so I can take more. It slows me down when I have to try to contact you in order to find out what I'm drawing you. Do me a huge favor. If I haven't drawn yours yet, email me (clamcrusher.commission(at)gmail.com) the details of your commission so I move forward please.

Alrighty guys. I need some help. Keggy and I have been in Austin for 5 months now and I'm not having much luck in the job front. Cell-shaded colors with basic shading. No background (sorry I need to crank these things). Normally I wouldn't ask for payment upfront, but I really need the help ASAP.

General | Posted 15 years agoHey yall, I know it's been a little bit. All moved to Austin now, and still job hunting. So I need a little help from you guys. We could use the extra bit of cash to help with food and whatnot while I'm still looking for a job.
I'm not going to open as many slots this time just for my own ease. There was a bit of confusion on who paid, who hadn't, or who had even told me what they had wanted me to draw for them. Also it saves people on the waiting game for me to open up again, (I had a lot of people ask if I were open yet). SO! Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then shall I decree a new counting to the number three.
I have also been told on several occasions that I undercharge. I figure people would like that fact, but I have had a couple of people insist on giving me more for my work. Due to my current situation, I am going to bump my prices ever so slightly. A nudging if you will. It's going to effect color commission more than linework.

AUSTIN FURS!
General | Posted 15 years ago
keglunek and I are now amongst you! :DWe want to send out a special thank you to
zapnutshakur,
kyofoxtrot, and Guardian (who I'm not sure actually has an FA account) for all your help over the weekend. The move couldn't have gone nearly as smooth as it did without you guys. We're currently working on getting settled into the new apartment. We have a lot of stuff to go through, and perhaps maybe even too much furniture. While Keggy's busy at work, I'm working on getting the place organized and getting to work finding myself a new job. If anyone knows of graphic design or production artist positions in Austin, please let me know. I'm gunna be using Monster and Craigslist like crazy in the coming weeks trying to find work.
Finally, I intend on knocking out those last couple sketches I owe really quick and possibly opening up for larger commissions again to help bring in money while I hunt for work. A more formal announcement after I finish catching up! Stay Tuned! :B
Keggy and I could use your help! (Moving to Austin, TX)
General | Posted 15 years ago
keglunek and I are finishing our transition from Dallas to Austin this weekend (Jan 14-16). We could really use some help loading up the truck. If you're not busy with a con or anything, could we possibly get a little help? We'd really appreciate it D:Commission Status
General | Posted 15 years agoHey, if I owe you a commission please do me a favor and re-send me the information at clamcrusher.commission(at)gmail.com. For reasons unknown my word document that I had copied those notes over to didn't save properly.
I've got a little time to kill before I crash for the night so I was gunna try and knock one out.
Thanks D:

Notes and Changes Being made.
General | Posted 15 years agoI decided to clear out my notes just for the sake of my commissioners. I have created a specific email account just for my commission work now.
clamcrusher.commission(at)gmail.com
Those of you I still owe commissions to (or those of you who still owe me money for the sketches I've done for you, take note, I will not be using FA's note service any longer.
I'm almost done with my current batch. Sorry it's been a little on the slow side. Trying to take care of things here and get ready for my move to Austin.

So I'm moving D:
General | Posted 15 years agoSo this past week my boy landed a job with a gaming company which means we're packing our bags and heading to Austin. This is really excited and scary at the same time. We had just signed a lease for another year with our current apartment complex. This means I'm gunna have to stay behind and keep working so we can pay off the termination charges, so about 6 weeks of me staying in Dallas alone with the dog (god help us all).
Now I get to explain to my parents why I'm quitting my job and moving to Austin with my roomate xD

Furry Fiesta 2011
General | Posted 15 years agoHey all! I know it's probably a tad bit early to start discussing this, but Furry Fiesta is coming up next February. A friend of mine has been bugging me to contribute to the conbook at least because I'm not really interested in setting up a table at the con to do artwork. I might do a sketch here or there but other than that, I'm there to socialize. Probably gunna be in the game room doing tabletop RPGs this year.
Anywho, here's my submission for the conbook! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4730650/ The theme this year is the 1970's. Rather than doing disco like I'm sure lots of people would do, I thought doing a blaxplotation spoof would be way more fun end memorable.
Be sure to stop by http://www.furryfiesta.org/ for more info about the con! Hope to see yall there!

General | Posted 15 years agoAlrighty guys, first off I'd like to say thanks to everyone who has expressed interest in helping me out and buying a sketch commission from me. I'm already one step closer to a replacement computer. Just gotta keep it up.
Now I've been thinking, I burned through these fairly quickly so I'm gunna do things different. Instead of opening 5 slots to commissions, I'm going to open 10 slots instead. Same as before. NOTE me with what you want me to draw for you. Just 15 smackers yall! Thanks again guys :D
