Hey, I've always struggled with setting commission prices and that hasn't changed in recent times. If anyone has any suggestions, recommendations, any pricing guides or just experience with your own commissions, could you give me a hand? I'm open to all sorts of ideas, especially now that I'm trying to take my art super seriously again (psych meds and therapy have been a godsend the past couple of years and I can finally do art on a regular basis again).

no promises bc idk how the day is going to go and what i'll need to be doing later, but there's a decent chance i might stream some art tonight up on picarto. if i'm able to, i'll post a journal and/or submission with the link and whatnot

i went through my watchlist and cleared out people who haven't posted recently. it was really weird seeing so many artists that haven't posted since 2009-2010. i feel old as hell now lol. anyway, i went from following 604 people to 178, so i need to find more artists to follow.

so i started on psych meds about a month back, and honestly? i'm not sure i've ever felt better, it's great. granted, i've also been on testosterone for 5 months now and that's also been helping, but i gotta say, i feel like i'm getting back to an old me. a me who could draw instead of having panic attacks over picking up a tablet pen.

i missed that so so much, just being able to draw. and now thanks to my meds i can push past the executive dysfunction sometimes and actually DO what i love so much. i've started working on commissions again (some overdue to a degree that shames me), and they're turning out wonderfully, so there's that at least.

it just feels like to feel like i'm living again. it's not perfect, i still get breakthrough mood swings and depression, but it's getting easier.

so yeah, just wanted to say "hi FA, i still live."

haha just kidding you never leave Hussie's hell. the comic may be over, but there's still an epilogue in the works, as well as the Hiveswap video game and whatever "Homestuck 2.0" will be.

I for one look forward to Andrew Hussies future projects, and to many years of rp, art, and fanfics where we the viewers decide what happens next.

I feel like crap bringing it up again, but I need to post a reminder that we're still taking donations right now. Thanks to some very wonderful people we were able to pay for my mom's cremation, but we still have her house payment that's $1700 behind, her power bill that's $1000 behind, her water bill (about 100-ish), and not to mention any legal fees we're going to encounter and the fact that we're still trying to find somewhere we can afford to have her memorial service. Mine and Alisha's other sister, JoAnna, has been worse than unhelpful, she's stolen our mom's jewelry and pills to buy crack and slept all the time until she left, so there's no help at all coming from her and as long as we don't have to deal with her again I'm fine with that.

My mom had custody of JoAnna's two boys, and while we would want to save our mom's house anyway, we need it especially if we're going to be able to even try to get custody of the kids. Tyler goes back to school soon, and that's the only home those boys have known anyway.

Even if we don't get another dime I will still forever be grateful beyond words for the help we've gotten so far.

Still alive and mostly well. Well, -kinda- well. I had an unexpected move from CA to AL (The Dogslug: An Unexpected Journey?) and a month-long sinus infection but I'm definitely not dead and that's pretty good.

Now, what's this about sketch commissions? The link below has examples and information, though of course if you don't have a tumblr to comment or note me you can leave me a comment or note here on FA. They're pretty cheap, ranging from $6 to $16 and with that small amount of money you get to help me buy groceris, gas, and pay a power bill. :P
