New Youtube video
General | Posted 6 months agoAbout seven minutes of bedroom fun clips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJJ4os6fRkU
We weren't really doing anything real-life lewd here, but we were being pretend-lewd hard enough that Youtube marked the video 18+ and I'm not going to try to argue with it.

and we're back!
General | Posted 6 months agoI think having the last fursuit photo stuck at the top of the category while FA was sick got more people to look at me than usual.
The one photo that I uploaded to Deviantart during that time is now up here on FA too. It's sort of a teaser shot.... I haven't decided exactly which pictures to use in the full set yet.

I had dress-up fun while FA was still in read-only mode...
General | Posted 7 months agoIn my last post I mentioned I might have something to post on Tuesday... I do, and FA isn't quite fixed yet, so for now I'll just link it here. I'll post it directly to FA later when I can.
I played my kigurumi friend Kaga again. I was the catgirl doll version of me this time. Here's the one teaser picture I've posted so far: https://www.deviantart.com/suziedoll/art/1191758143

so I guess Fur Affinity is in file read-only mode...
General | Posted 7 months agoIt looks like I happened to be the last one to upload a fursuit photo here before the crash. If you're noticing me because of that, hi!
If I upload anything while FA is in read-only mode, it'll be on my DA gallery at https://www.deviantart.com/suziedoll/gallery . I don't have any uploads planned right now until maybe Tuesday.

Dress-up can be a complicated hobby...
General | Posted 8 months agoThe last time I posted a journal here, it was about pausing my crafting experiments until it got warm enough to open a window to use things that need ventilation.
It's warm enough, and I did some experiments, and it turned out the crafting ideas I had aren't going to work.
I thought that I could carve polyurethane foam, then layer some felt over that to smooth it, then use spandex as the outer layer over the smooth felt. It turns out that strategy doesn't work with the tools I have! Imperfections in the carving and the felt upholstering show through the spandex layer, and the result won't work for the skunk parts I was thinking of making. It would work fine for a more conventional fursuit fabric, but not the zentai-inspired look I'm trying for.
I'm not sure yet what my next moves will be. I might make some less ambitious dress-up clothes next to get my confidence back up. Maybe I'll find something to inspire me at a fabric store going-out-of-business sale this week.

Crafting's on hold for a little while...
General | Posted 10 months agoAll the next crafting steps I have planned involve carving stuff with a rotary tool or holding stuff together with epoxy, and that means making dust or fumes. For example, I want to make Eleanor Skunk a shaped tail out of polyurethane foam.
I don't have a workspace with dedicated ventilation, so to use those crafting techniques safely I need to open a window and run a fan.
It's too cold to do that right now, so my crafting will have to wait for a while. I'll probably be able to pick it up again before spring.
I'm not going to just totally disappear from the Internet between now and then.... I'll check in with some kind of new dress-up pictures later this month, I'm pretty sure.

updates for early 2025
General | Posted 10 months agoIt's been a few months since the last time I posted a journal here. Last time, I mentioned I'd start posting non-furry dress-up doll pictures to this site. Those are getting about as many views and favorites as my furry ones, so I've decided I'm going to keep doing that. I mostly crosspost the same pictures to here and Deviantart now. I still have a Flickr account but I don't post there much.
My current project, as you might have seen in my recent pictures, is making a new all-spandex version of Eleanor Skunk. I have most of her body made now. My next steps are some finishing steps for her arms and her chest, and then I'll start working a tail for her. I'll save her head for last, and I might actually make some other doll head for technique practice before I try to do an Eleanor head.
I don't have a definite next project planned after that one, although I do have a few possible ideas. If you're a grownup around eastern MA or southern NH, and you like the kinds of stuff I make, maybe you can become a part of my next project.... please do send me a private note if you'd like more information about that possibility.

a change of personal rules
General | Posted a year agoMy main interest is in being a living toy, an invented item that plays with the boundary between being a person and being an object. For my own interests, there isn't always a big difference between a toy that's shaped like an animal and a toy that's shaped like an abstract cartoony human being.
When I started posting to this site, I had a rule for myself that I'd only post photos that had something furry about them. Sometimes I'd add a little furry content to a picture, like holding up my plush Eleanor Skunk, just to give myself permission to post the picture here.
I've decided to try suspending that rule I set for myself. I'll be posting more pictures that are just dress-up doll pictures without any furry choices in the dress-up. I'll see what sort of reaction they get and decide whether to keep doing it.
(By the way, I haven't given up on my cow. I didn't have chances to craft during most of the summer, but I'm expecting to have her head at least partway made by the end of September.)

Space Dolly R is up
General | Posted 2 years agoThe game I've been making graphics for since November is up! It's a soft launch right now, without a big public announcement. If you're on a desktop Web browser with a mouse, you can play it at https://goodbunnystudio.itch.io/spacedollyr
Anyone want to play a beta-test?
General | Posted 2 years agoUPDATE APRIL 22: The beta test is over. You can play the game at https://goodbunnystudio.itch.io/spacedollyr now without a beta-test code.
Previous contents of this post:
For the past few months, most of my crafting and photography has been about making photosprites for a video game by Good Bunny Studio. I turned over 500 of my dress-up pictures into game graphics for it!
The game's pretty close to being released now, and it'd help us if a few people could play it before the actual release. It's a browser game, designed for playing with a mouse (not a touchpad or touchscreen). It should be compatible with any up-to-date Firefox, Chrome, or Edge, unless there's a compatibility bug we haven't found. We're hoping some people can spend a couple hours with it, but even just a few minutes to see if it runs correctly on your system would be useful information. If you're interested, send me a one-on-one message and I'll tell you more.
