Everyone who could had assembled. From New Orleans, Kansas City and northern Iowa, all to St Louis. Brothers, siblings, offspring, aunts and uncles. Sister playing relay with info, room number, who's coming, the go-to goat. Some had come and had their visit, understandably not wanting any part in any decision past visiting. His two brothers, wife, wife's sister, me, the other 8 of his kids, and some of their family, and lastly but not least, the GOOD baby sitter, the one who becomes a friend, or family, even 35 years down the road. His parents and 3'rd brother were in Texas, his other parents Arizona, understandably couldn't come. Older grandparents as well, but they're there later.

The decision was nearly everyone voting to end. The two nurses in the family saw the multiple CT scans. They more than anyone knew. The stroke had cause severe trauma in his lower cerebellum, a rupture between that and the brain, nearly severing them. He wasn't awake, he never regained consciousness after he lost it in the first five minutes. Every so often, he'd spasm gently, on mostly his right side of the body, small movements of things turning off and on from random connections, flexing before going still again.

Everyone knew, everyone understood. Having this go on for any longer was delaying the inevitable. The nature of the injury was too severe, bar some magical super healing, you don't recover from this one.

My father's brothers wanted him to receive last rights by a priest. I like to min max, so yes please all the buffs you can give. Let's let all the religions have a turn and get him jacked. Afterwards the prep was done to remove all the machinery, breathing tubes, ect.

People came and went as the drugs started to work. I can't remember, I was just holding his hand, others around as well.

At roughly 4:06 in the afternoon, 26 hours after the stroke, he died.

Then everyone pressed "F"

Everyone who could made their way over to my mother's parents place. Siblings, the aunt and her 3 adult kids, the lifelong friend and his family. There was crying, there was laughing, stories told, jokes and the like, and most importantly cookies.

Earlier today I was cooking food, and heard a thump. Thought it was my brother, cause I heard his chair move in his room shortly after. He was getting up, and went back to my father's bedroom. Something had happened.

We all 3 came in, my dad on the floor. He'd fallen, but his expression wasn't right. It wasn't jovial, it wasn't anger, it wasn't pain. It was something else. It was confusion, disbelief, and fear.

I tried to help him to his side, lay down as he was against the wall, face out and disoriented. I ran for a phone, my brother said he had one, I said dial 911.

I went back to my dad, still looking oddly at him, trying to figure out the issue. I asked him to count my finger, 4, he said four. There was something clearly wrong. He wasn't moving much, the right side of his body not working. His right arm was limp, he wasn't using it. He didn't vocalize much, just continued with that confused 'out of it' look. I laid him down, my brother called Ems. He kept reaching with his left hand to keep putting on his shorts, I held the hand and told him to relax and lay back, that's not important now. You're alright, there's much bigger things to worry about.

I called out a stroke, he stroked and fell over, we found him on the ground. He was initially simply communicative, but that faded fast. i checked a pulse, put my ear to his chest, making sure those were all working. I wasn't counting, I was feeling for abnormalities. Fast heart rate, adrenaline from the fall, and didn't hear anything off on the chest.

I held his hand, at this point there was no blood, no obvious injury to tend do. He started to fade, losing consciousness. Only thing I could do at that point was make sure he was still breathing. Called my mother, his wife to try and get a list of things medical to the arriving EMS.

EMS arrived, came in and hooked up the monitoring machines. O2 good, heartbeat present, Ems didn't see anything to be alarmed. Told them he'd collapsed before, cause undetermined in the past. They did say something about pre-diabetic, so we relayed it may be blood sugar based, he checked and I don't remember the test results, just that there was no action taken nor nothing said about it. I cleared out, EMS has this, stepping into a corner to be out of the way. He was taken into the ambulance, my mother, his wife, on the phone talking to EMS.

At the hospital, on a breather machine. My sister was there, watching and relaying out information.

Scans, xray and the like.

Cerebral trauma, stroke, his brain is disconnected from the spinal colomn, due to the fall or stroke. He's still alive, but this is a fatal injury. Those who are at the hospital confirmed to put a vent in to relieve cranial pressure.

He's... 'dead'. A fatal injury.

I'm sad. I love him and... understand that even as he's still alive. He's 'dead'.

8 hours since it happened. Will have to see if he lives through the night. After that... He's still dead.

Well... things need to change.

On saturday I was at my PC, and down the stairs comes a person living here, who will be named "Commisar Kup". The self appointed Dictator of Dishes, The Czar of Cutlery themselves, decides it's my turn to be voulentold to take care of the dishes. And damned the populus, he was here to lay down HIS law.

For the past, quite a few years, I've been doing my own dishes. I have a small tub that can fit a few things in it in my room, and take it every once and a while to clean. When I do my dishes, I do ALL the dishes there that are in the sink, along with my own. In the dish washer, cleaned and put away when done, I do the dishes. This also includes pots and pans on the stove ect, when I do my dishes, I do all the dishes. So, I do my own thing, but also take care of the rest when it's time to do so.

A normal dish day for everyone here is usually a few cups, mugs, several plates and the silverware. A day or two can fill up the sink rather well, now having cooking implements and pans tossed in with the others. None of those dishes are mine however, as I clean what I use, pans, plates and such, and put them away in the kitchen. The rest of them I use are down in my basket. There are three other people here who make dishes, and what is in the sink at any given time, is nothing but those 3 other people, and none of them have yet done the dishes... This is a continual pattern that's spanned nearly as long as I got the little basket a few years ago.

Commisar Kup is 17, and works at a resteraunt, and has for a while. During the length of his work, he's made damned sure to let everyone know at HOME, that he does dishes all day, and therefore that means he should be exempt from doing them at home. Because he's sick of them, he's somehow the Czar of Cutlery.

This was what he was arguing over. I've explained this entire scenario, many times to him, and that just because you do something at work, that does not mean you are exempt from performing any work of the like when you are off. I do 'my fair share' of dishes Kommisar, so no, I will not do dishes. I tell him to leave, his reasons and argument are bullshit, and his emotion hatred of dishes is now making you angry.

He faffs off, leaves, goes back upstairs and into his room. Chill the hell out. But no, he's there for a few seconds and then walks out again, I can hear his angry footsteps stomping ont he wooden floors above, and soon the Kommisar is thundering down the stairs, with something from his room.

And this where the Dumbest of Fuckeries happens... He went to get an AK rifle from his room. I have a pistol within reach.

Now, my other brother that lives here has an AK rifle, 7.62 and all that jazz. I have another brother who lives with his family, and he also has an AK rifle. At that point in time, it was completely believable that the AK he was holding was an actual, functional rifle.

I took a second take, it wasn't raised, wasn't pointed. He was carrying it, and a further look revealed the AK to be plastic, orange/yellow scuffed, and the attachments and rails were not on any of my brother's AK's. It was an airsoft rifle. My pistol never moved, never drawn.

What a dumb motherfucker. Angry enough to STOP mid argument, grab a weapon and come back down here to argue MORE, but now 'armed'. There wasn't much else I could do at that point, but tell him to fuck off and go chill the fuck out. I'm trying to not to be aggressive, Airsoft pellets aren't much to contend with, rather it was the fact that he was so angry, he's decided to force someone into doing something... I was more... sad that he did it than anything, he didn't realize the entirety of his actions, nor take a breather and re-think his bullshit.

I told him one last time, he needed to fuck off and go away. Then proceeded to raise the airsoft rifle and shoot at me.

It was in that moment that all respect and trust was lost. Taking a vocal deal and crossing over into physical.

The shot missed and he ran the fuck back up to his room. I gave a conversation chase, yelling that he didn't realize what the fuck he just did. Told him I was done, at this moment he was ex-communicado. I'll not have anything to do with/for you from this moment on. I never ran up the stairs, and he brooded and stomped angrily in his room, above mine, so I could hear his angry ass.

He eventually did the dishes, and stomped more overhead quite a bit.
I let my father know what happened Sunday, the day after.

A day later, the keys to the truck I drive were gone. I always put them in one place, or they are in my pocket/truck. I need tires for my car, and am slowly working to getting a new set. In the mean time I drive a little truck. Of which, has been given to me to use, provided I take care of it. Now the keys are gone, and Kommisar is suspect #1.

Today, without a license, or insurance, my suspicions paid off. Both the Kommisar and the truck are gone!
I told him he'd have to walk to work now. So logically, 'steal' a truck to drive to work? It's not that far, .8 miles on the odometer and just down a large road nearby. Nothing stopping him from easily walking along the paved path all the way there. But naw, taking the car I drive, makes sense. It's sad. Especially since the person you did all this shit to is a mechanic. A locked cab, he has the keys. Shoot, if only there were some way... some fuel pump harness under the vehicle that could be unplugged, and the crank sensor too? The truck won't start if those things aren't connected...

Before the Kommisar and the truck were home, I again had a talk with my father. Who, as the first time, said nothing again. I asked he talk to the Kommisar, that what is going on is utter bullshit. But he fucked off to bed, even after a phonecall from my mother, who was being filled in along the way as well. Not his ponies, not his show I guess?

Tensions with the Kommisar remain high as today comes to a close... But the front has been quiet... Considering a withdraw from the warfront.

The only piece in this bullshit puzzle so far that WILL move is me... I do have a place to go to, but it's... under developed. XD A decent barn with a living room/bedroom. Running water and power, but nothing else. The farm HAS a charter rounded cone down the fence line of the property, but it's not run along the drive and the field to the barn.

It's spring, and the weather won't be an issue. But that puts me on a 'timer', have to build or buy another place, as well as get a job down there. If I need to go there, won't be able to do anything internet related until I get charter to run a line and set things up, or do some hub/phone thing with wireless. So, it will be quiet over here for a long while if I gotta do this.

But, if nothing else happens/moves, I have to...

With the growing amount of images on FA, and the pics posted per day with specific keywords, the search function only going back 3,000 images is starting to become more of a hindrance.

Example.
Search term of Rubber
This cultivates somewhere in the realm of 225,000 images
Organizing by A/Descending you're getting the first and last images with the keyword. Using Date, Relevance and Popularity, the maximum number of images you can effectively search winds up being only 18,000 of those (Cross over images for each parameter ignored) winding up being visible due to the limited search. This mean that only 8% of images containing rubber as a searchable term can be found, leaving the other 92% unable to be seen without going through hundreds to thousands of profiles and perusing a gallery, removing the reason a search function exists.

I've not looked into how much FA has grown over the years, but it's clear that it's one of the more stable (Nowadays at least XD) pillars of furry art and the community. Another 10 years out and search function will only drop in % of returns when searching, assuming Rubber doubles to 500K results, the return will only be 4% of total images and drop as time goes on.

1 Month. Give or take a week due to images that are uploaded with the Rubber keyword. That's how far back the search allows you to see images. Obviously obscure/niche kinks can allow you to see back a longer period due to the small amount of images posted on said subject. Keywords and themes that are popular will also suffer this same 'fate' as it were, being limited/stove piped via the search engine/limits. With 16 years of being around, searching within a month of relevant keywords winds up being 0.5% of possible total search results. Iterating again, years out and a speculative doubling, the time window will drop to 2 weeks as well as 0.25% of total searches as it related to time.

I'm also no expert in what it will take to institute a search function that will cover more, how much the servers will need in terms of hardware or adjusting coding to get this done.

From purely an accessibility and a discovery stand point, having less than 10% of what is available for a popular/widely used terms seems sub-par to me. Not meaning any of this to be pissing on anyone or the site at all, it's just been a growing thought I've had for quite a while that seems like something needs to be updated/graded as the site grows. XD just trying to help everyone fap more easily :P

Worked more on the ideas, broke them into their own images and added more to them. However, some of them need a theme in regards to clothing/era portrayal. Fine with doing nudity for any/all of them XD. Some of the ideas concepts, the gibbet, chair, weight, Deep cut and Field dressing are concepts I'd love to keep visually the same, just adjust the character/parts of them to better fit a concept someone has for them. Other concepts as Skeleton, small space, emaciated can change bondage implements/poses, but keep a desiccated/starved/left to die theme over all.
Or should I get a list going and ask the YCH'ers what theme?

A Snuffoween where all the spooky decorations are that 'extra step', swearing they were real. Each of the 'decorations' is given a Tyl collar to ensure they don't meet their end, rather 're-animate' every 30 minutes to swing, drown and gurgle in horrific ways repeatedly.

1. The hanging tree. Characters dancing a hempen jig, or swinging in the wind. One slot will be unavailable, as I'll be up in the tree.

2. The Witch test. In an effort to vet out witches, souls are condemned to 'prove' themselves by surviving a thorough drowning.

3. The Forgotten. Inanimate husks, skeletons or emaciated forms of those left bound, to die. Inanimate decoration TF.

4. Butcher's Block. Gore, disemboweling, amputation and rending the fleshy neck down to bone.

Just a rough idea with some themes, would want to draw out a background for each. Not sure how many characters per scene (3?), just a wip idea at the moment. Clothed/unclothed, or per scene? Do uniforms, prisoners, medevil clothing?

May be 11 openings for characters, 3 per theme and 2 for hanging.

Thoughts?

Did some pokey pokey with my Volt meter, and found nothing coming out of the power supply what so ever... Took it to a place locally and asked if they could quickly test the power supply. They tested and found no power, wound up getting a new power supply, a new case fan and some thermal paste.

So, everything is back together and allright. Was hoping the power supply didn't take out anything else when it died, and it didn't! Still need a new CPU fan though, the spintivity on the OE one is rather resistant to free rotation...

Knew it was on its last legs, was hoping to get parts for a rebuild. Then the varus happened and the 600$ parts turned into 1,200$. The power shut off here and when it was back, the thing wouldn't turn on. It was on a surge protector, but still won't work, maybe its the power supply, maybe it cooked other things, can't tell...

So... Dunno. Guess I can't really do computer/internet stuffs for now...

Over christmas a game added in some DLC weapons. Killing Floor 2. They added in 4 new weapons, A Rhino revolver, a melee lightsaber, a mosin bolt action and A glock/shield combo. The game has a "Sharing" system, where if someone owns an addition weapon, from the bonus ones and now the DLC guns, everyone in the server can buy/use it in match. So I've gotten to try them out, and became interested in what they cost.

10$ each... 10$ for a fucking weapon. The game is 30$ right now, the 4 weapons will cost you 40$... What the fuck. What makes those 4 weapons the same worth as the entire game? Killing Floor 1 had weapons packs, 8$ for 4 new weapons. I was allrightish with that, seems a bit high. But I'm NOT allright with this... greed.

Needless to say I'm done with KF2, uninstalled and will never touch it again. BS lunacy insanity... Fuck you Tripwire. I sat uneasily with your MT skins and lootcrates that cost 3$ each, plus the over priced market where those pallet swaps are sold. Digital items are not rare, they are not special, and any scarcity is manufactured. You've gone too far and I'm out...
