I've found Golden State Furry Convention in Los Angeles so far, but I'm not seeing any other conventions listed online for Southern California for the rest of the year? There's some in Arizona and Nevada, but I'm not looking to travel that far...

Does anyone know of any other conventions in Southern California, or is GSFC all that will be here for the year? ;u;

Pose Reference Images
I've been getting a lot of commissions lately where I've been asked to copy the pose of an existing piece of work. That's totally fine! I just wanted to announce here that if you send me a reference image for the pose, I will do my best to capture the essence/energy of that pose, but I will not copy or trace the pose directly. I'll always do my own sketch independent of the pose reference (while looking at it, of course!), but I won't be recreating that exact pose pixel-for-pixel. I've already been following this rule on my end and everyone's been totally fine with it, so I decided to go ahead and make it more formal!

That said, if you have permission to use a pose, or the pose was posted somewhere as a free-to-use artist reference, then let me know and I won't worry so much about copying other people's work, haha!

If you would like me not to post your commission to my gallery, that's totally fine! Just let me know and I can either upload the completed piece to my sta.sh or email it to you. Just let me know which you'd prefer. ^^

Hi there! I'm just creating a quick journal to let everyone know that my commission information has been updated. Please check my commissions page for details!

Changes made:
• Invoicing only
I'm moving to issuing PayPal invoices for payment by default. If you need alternative an alternative payment option, let me know and we can work something out!

• Added option to choose dark lines or pastel lines
I've discovered that coloring the lines is a very labor and time intensive thing, so I'm moving back to offering dark lines only by default for all commissions. Pastel lines are still available, but may incur additional fees.

These changes will go into effect 1/10/2020.

They'll be clear shrinky dink colored with colored pencils and lined with sharpie. They'll also be sealed with a layer of clear coat!

After looking at a few artists' trellos the last few weeks, I recently changed the statuses on my commission tracker to be less "generic". I've added more specific statuses so that now you can know exactly where I am in the process!

Old:
In progress (encompassed everything from sketch -> being done!)

New:
Sketching (still working on the sketch)
Lining (working on the line art)
Coloring (flat coloring - no shading)
Finishing touches (coloring the linework, adding the background, fixing things, etc)

I hope this makes my process more transparent! ^^

I'm going to be back next week... From my new house in Los Angeles, CA! ^^ I'm doing amazingly better now in every way... Though I will admit, the stress of moving had me backsliding a little bit, haha! Also, I'm going to have much more free time with my new job (my other job had me working like crazy!), so I'm going to officially re-open commissions on 4/29/19.

If you want to reserve a spot now so that when I'm back you're at the top of the list, just send me a note in the usual commission request format! I am accepting full prepayment (because moving expenses have kind of drained me, haha), but you are also welcome to leave a down-payment of 50% of the commission total to save your place at the front of the line! :^) If you can't leave a 50% down-payment, that's okay! I'll still put you on the list, but the paid reservations will have to take priority. ^^

I've updated my commission prices, so take a look! Things are a little more expensive than they used to be, but if you purchase at least one commission from me on or before 5/1/19 and pay in full upfront, you'll get 20% off any one commission you purchase after 5/1/19! Can't beat that! ^^

Hi everyone!

I am supremely sorry for the radio silence! I thought things were okay, but they weren't as okay as I thought so I had to do a lot of restructuring to my life. Fortunately I'm in excellent physical health after that scare, and thanks to the work I'm putting in, my mental health is improved significantly already!

I'm in a much better place and am in the process of upgrading all my equipment. Everything is kind of up in the air until March, and much can change in that time (hopefully for the better!), but I'll try to keep you all apprised. My life may involve a cross-country move in that time, but I won't know until I know, haha. :^)

I'm remaining optimistic that my situation stays positive so that I can come back and do commissions again, I really enjoyed working with all of you and would love to do so again! ^^ Right now there is so much going on in my life, but it's all looking good!

Note for those who purchased a Mallowbie from me: I did not realize when I started them that they would be such an undertaking. I am, unfortunately, cancelling them :^(. I am relatively healthy and working on getting back to being happy. Lately I've been focusing on art of my OC because it makes me the happiest, and I've been practicing to get better! I've made some really talented friends who are teaching me so much, and I like to think my ability has *spiked* thanks to their tutelage-- intentional or not. :^D

I won't be posting much here anymore for a while because all of my art is human-centric now, but I may return someday when I'm back to 100% and start posting furry stuff here again/taking commissions. :3

So, my life is kind of falling apart, and has been for the last couple weeks. I can't say much about it here, but suffice it to say my mental & physical health and relationships are all falling apart around me and I no longer have anyone to rely on for support, emotionally or otherwise. Everything is very hard right now, and I've barely had the energy to get out of bed. Watching LPs of Detroit: Become Human has been a nice distraction lately, but that at this point is all I *can* do, and that's not good.

To those of you who I owe commissions: I have one of them nearly done. The rest will be refunded, and I'm so sorry for any inconvenience this as caused you! I really was looking forward to doing all of them, and maybe one day when I'm feeling better I may revisit them for free. In the meantime, I am too low. I feel like I've lost everything; my friends, my health, and-- if my performance keeps like this at work-- my livelihood, too. I just don't have the energy or confidence to do even the most basic of things right now.

Withdrawing from the world probably isn't the best thing for me right now, but I can't do anything else. Again, I'm sincerely sorry. I'll send notes out to those affected with regards to commissions. Thank you everyone for being so understanding, and I hope to be back soon. :^)

I adopted a cat yesterday and Bunny has been extremely needy ever since! x_x
Kitty is already pretty comfortable with his new home and is interested in being nice with Bunny (and staying off of Bunny's turf :^P), but Bunny has been hiding under the covers of my bed since he saw Kitty last night. :^/

Commissions are closed until bunny stops waking me up in the middle of the night every half-hour. I got no good sleep last night! :^P
