Zia Haul November 2022
Posted 3 years agoI went on a mini shopping spree at Zia the other day, and I managed to find some pretty cool stuff. I originally intended to try to get the most I could for $100, but I backed out midway after seeing how much I already had and realizing I didn’t need to spend so much money. Here’s what I was able to find:
First up are a trio of old Star Trek books from the 80s. Zia has a metric ton of these for 2-4 bucks a pop. I picked out one about Spock going back in time, another about an OP federation ship being captured, and this really weird looking one called “How much for just the planet?” with Kirk and a Klingon giving each other the side eye while this dude in a fancy suit stands in the middle smirking. I have no idea what it’s about and I can’t wait to find out.
Next I found this Skirmisher figure from Halo. It was pretty expensive at $25, but I wanted it so I got it. I also grabbed a couple of little velociraptor figures for six bucks each.
I managed to find a Starlink weapons pack I didn’t already have too, as well as Baloo and Nick Wild Disney Infinity figures still in box. I’ll probably unbox a bunch of this stuff to save space, since I’m not very interested in the speculative value of it.
Finally, I grabbed this $10 Star Wars battle droid and mini tank toy that I had been eyeing for a while. Battle droids are cool and this thing looked goofy so I had to have it.
So yeah all-in-all I’d say it was a pretty good haul.

I’m on Twitter Now
Posted 3 years agoI decided to try out posting things on Twitter to see how it goes. I figured it would be a nice way to share my art with more people, and share some other random stuff that doesn’t really fit anywhere else that I currently post to. I made a few tweets to give some examples of what I might post. You can find me at:

Mobile Game Nostalgia
Posted 3 years agoI was in a mood for mobile games, so I decided to look back on a few that I played when I was a kid. Of them, Island Experiment and Sunken Secrets straight up wouldn’t load, Dragon City was overflowing with expensive in-app purchases and had random pop-up adds, and Merge Dragons was…mostly the same really. Weirdest of all though was SpongeBob Moves In, which despite having been taken offline and it’s App Store page no longer being visible, I was still able to redownload and play offline. Everything seems to work too, though in-app purchases are disabled and daily rewards are unavailable, and also it stopped playing sound effects for some reason and a few textures spontaneously went missing. I’m not sure what to make of it, it feels like I’m playing a rotting corpse of a game and there’s something honestly intriguing about that. At least it doesn’t have any adds…
