Help with MIDI files/KORG M01D.
Posted 12 years agoSo I recently started playing around with the 'KORG M01D' download/application for the 3DS and I somehow managed to compose a piece of music which I thought sounded pretty good and that I might share with you guys.
Problem is, I export the MIDI file and load it up on my Windows Media Player only to find that it sounds nothing like the composition I made on my 3DS - all the instruments I used in the original composition have somehow been replaced with crappy piano sounds.
So I had a look around the internet and I'm guessing I need to apply 'styles' to the MIDI file or something to get it to sound anything like the original - but I have no idea what software I might need to download to do this and/or how much it might cost me.
Or maybe I'm just doing this completely wrong?
If you can, help would be appreciated.
