Hey folks, just sharing an update as to the future of the comic:

A very kind individual has sent me a drawing tablet!

I've never used one before, so it's going to take me a little to get the hang of doing so.

The current plan for implementing it once I've gotten used to using it:

1) speeding up the cleaning up scans of comics prior to coloring/lettering/etc

2) later possibly using it to replace the inking phase entirely (which in turn would eliminate the scan cleanup time)

I'm not sure if the comic will ever go entirely digital, that depends entirely on how much skill I can develop at using this

So, some of you know this already, but lately a lot of my time's been spent caring for an ill family member.

Good news: They're nearly back to 100% and the doc today gave them a clean bill of health. (in related good news: my 15+ year old dog also got a clean bill of health this week at the vet)

How this relates to the comic:

I've now got several weeks of buffer in pencil lines (and next week nearly finished with inking) completed while sitting with them in the ER during the holiday weekend.

So, if I haven't gotten back to some of you on comments/messages or the like, I should be catching up this weekend.

I'm sorry if I've been late (sometimes very late) in responding to messages the past month+.

Things have been a bit of a mess, honestly.

Just keeping everyone updated. Having some PC issues this week and I'm trying to resolve them.

Comics for the next two weeks are drawn and are starting to be inked.

In the event I don't get the situation resolved in time to cleanup/color/etc., next week's may be published in sketch form until such time as it's repaired.

I've marked Page 161 as "Mature" to avoid offending anyone with the violence in it.

So, if you can't see it, either adjust your content settings or check it out on one of the other sites.

I have to be honest, I don't exactly believe the number -- most of which is via DA -- but across all the galleries + Twitter, the final page of chapter five is listed as having received _746_ views.

So, last week across the galleries and Twitter, the comic apparently got 480 views.

...I don't think I believe DA claiming 345 of those.

Hey folks!

In less than 24 hours, this week's comic has had (combined) over 100 views on the gallery sites (+9 engagements on Twitter)

I think this is the fastest any of them have hit that number so far.

Whether you've sent private messages saying you like the comic, made fan art, retweeted, or just added to the views each week -- it all encourages me to keep working on the story and trying to improve the artwork knowing that folks are viewing and enjoying the comic.

So, I should probably post a journal entry more recent than 5 months ago, eh?
