So perhaps the lot of you have noticed that I have been popping up everywhere.. well there's a reason.. I AM EVERYWHERE...
As of right now I'm helping prepare for her husbands return, to Canada by cleaning house, while I'm also there at Amon's place packing! At the same time I'm in 's place shaking my head at whatever's on his computer screen. I'm even at and 's place acting as a footstool ( shhh they don't know yet ) I'm also at and 's place pretending I'm a cat. Currently I'm posing naked in front of so she has a model to draw from for the sexy men she draws, and yet I'm the same guy that's HANDING YOU CAKE . and think they are being massaged by one another.. it's really me. I'm actually the guy handing more paper. thinks he's sitting on a chair as he looks on his computer.. but .. again that's me. and don't really know it's the TV watching them. can see RIGHT through my bullshit but accepts it anyway. probably thinks that's just pillows in his bed... HAHAHA wrong.

So just in case you're wondering.. what is that noise? Things are suddenly getting easier? That thing touching you inappropriately? It's ME Don't be afraid... just accept it.

First of all I wanna know who's going to AC!?

I'm considering ( next week at some point ) opening up 6 or 7 slots for badges prior to AC. I still have a bit of work to do before that ( like finishing up my current commissions, and starting on a comic project) But that will help me in regards to gas and food money. :3

On another random side note..

I REAAALLLLY need to start doing more cardio... I think I'll do this by roller blading more...I need to not let my gut grow any bigger... I wanna be all hot and sexy for ya'll XP

Soooooo I need to start experimenting with my new color work. Working on mastering it or at the very least turning it into something that you guys would be willing to spend professional amounts of money on. But i stillll do need to make money on these.

soooo to justify my work and time put into it, especially since I still owe people I can open up for 3 Full color Character commissions, digital color.

My typical price for full color with the medium i'm comfortable with ( markers) is $50 Buut since this is new I will charge only $40 ( this of course changes if you add more characters.

These commissions ( to those still waiting on yours) will be done parallel to the current ones I have So I will hopefully finish all my commissions by the end of this week, these included!!

So I have to address a simple but important issue here.

As you've seen i don't automatically list my instant messenger names. Well there's a reason why I do this.

Most of the time when I'm online... I'm working. This doesn't mean with the people I talk to that I don't just simply chat, but that's not many people. Most of the people I chat with aren't inhibiting to my progress. The provide technical advice and support as well as are just, in general, good friends. People I tend to see offline anyway.


Again, I'm working. If I'm chatting with everyone else then I'm not getting YOUR commission done. So let me do that. Since I lost my job this has BECOME my job, and I'm quite happy with the idea that drawing supports me. So I'm generally doing THIS most of the time. In fact I want to finish up my current roster so I can open up for a little bit for AC, and have room for my already now made projects. I have a comic and another project I need to be working on.

Also... I DON'T ROLEPLAY. What very VERY little roleplay I do is with the three or four people I generally am comfortable with. It's not a way to get to know me and it most certainly doesn't speak anything about me other than the few moments I have to set aside for it. So please. Don't ask.

Idle prattle also pisses me off. Getting questions like "how's the art?" "Doin sketch stuff?" Questions without any real incite or anything that really shows that you are just trying to fill time with words is absolutely irritating. While not all of my conversations are philosophical or cultural breakthroughs, generally it's just good conversation. I can't map out a decent conversation since that's not really my job, but I don't like it when, while I'm trying to work, I have to babysit .

I'm not a generally grouchy guy, I just need you guys to be a little bit mindful about what I'm doing is all, a little perspective goes a long way.

Thanks to Mr. I was reminded of the twentieth anniversary of Jim Henson's passing.

While I would love to convey some sort of sadness I simply can't. Jim Henson, and everything he's done, represents to me a celebration of imagination, creativity, and above all making people smile. Not only does his life's work consist of making people laugh, it's making people laugh with things that are genuinely funny or things that reach inside and make you smile.

It's very hard for me to not see something every day that somehow reflects him in some positive way. I have 2 seasons of the Muppet Show, and Dark Crystal on DVD. A little plushie of Beaker, and a song ( linked above ) which lives very strongly as long as I've lived and has constantly re-defined itself and meaning something new whenever I come back to it.

I grew up on the Muppet show, Fraggle Rock and Sesame Street ( which explains why i can count in Spanish) If you keep going back to these shows, unlike a lot today, there's no mean sarcasm or jaded sense of cynicism. While we use cynicism and the like as a somewhat of a defense against dissapointments, we lose site of those good things that do make us smile, by simply not thinking they are real. That in itself is somewhat sad... however..

Please remember, to honor such a great and wonderful man, you can't do so being sad. His life's work is within the smiles he inspired, and for him to keep living on, you simply keep smiling. :)

So I'm sure you guys have noticed that my approach to commissions is a little bit different.

That instead of asking, saying i'm open or treating it like a chore, I challenge and dare you all.

Aside from the fact I want to make this my livelihood and that I have car insurance due I will say this right now...

Animation, story boarding, illustrating, you name it. Each commission I take on is a challenge and an opportunity to become even better than I was. It's practice for something I love to do and overall seek to achieve. Each commission and what I do is a step closer to the place I want to be.

I don't feel your commissions are a chore, while they are a business and I do have to discipline myself to get the image I want and what you want, it's also part of the process to make me better.

It's not just the furry fandom, it's art. Period.

I see this as the opportunity to practice my passion. So this is why I say this and will continue to.

So one thing I incorporate whenever I teach drawing/animation/ being efficient when drawing commissions is sketching.

One of the most inspiring lectures I'd ever seen was when my buddy lectured on sketching and thumbnailing. That stuck in my head permanently. I cannot stress how important it is to simply sketch and doodle. I really want to thank you all for the support! Especially thank you for not throwing an epic pity party in my favor. Hey guys!!

Well!! Some of you may be aware that I work (or worked) at a certain popular video game sales chain. Actually since 2006 I have worked for them and as of today I was relieved.

Every morning, when you work part of the management, you are required to count video game systems ( playstation 3's , Xbox 360's) what have you, mainly because if you are missing just one, you suddenly have up to $300 worth of shrink. In these small stores that can be a problem and it is important that you keep track of these things. Well since we have faulty technology I count all video game systems by hand. Upon reviewing this on tape I am grilled by both the district and regional managers. Trying to force me to say I was "Falsifying reports"

My store manager and I knew I was going to lose my job. While it's a change, it didn't really bug me. It's now more of a kick in the pants to either up my anty doing freelance art ( as I have been doing) or get a better job.

So I was pretty happy today. I went in to talk to my district manager who was going to inform me that I was going to be relieved of my job. Being... fully aware of this, I didn't go in to attempt to defend my job, position or what have you... I went in to say exactly what was on my mind.

"Let me tell you a little story, " I began, " about a young guy, in the middle of college who went from a smaller computer company to work at this store. Upon receiving his management position, a month later he was held at gunpoint for a playstation 3. He was never offered therapy or anything. He simply went in to work the next day without complaining. Each raise he recieved was always just before the minimum wage would go up and was never factored in when that happened. You know how much he made? Today he makes $7.50 an hour and he's part of the management. He was making 25 cents more than minimum wage. And now, after making a simple mistake, one that has not caused the store any harm, any loss of product, he's been forced to admit to something that isn't true, and without even a simple corrective measure he's being fired.." I started to laugh and take my store and lock keys off my key chain, " You know I didn't come here today to defend my job. You can keep this place and this company. See I came to terms long.. long ago that just about anyone could do my job and that I was very easily replaceable....and so are you..." I smiled at him, handed him my keys and walked out the door.

I shook hands with my Assistant and Store managers ( Both of which are awesome people) And headed to the door, I looked at my district manager before I left and looked him straight in the eye. I smiled, laughed, and walked out.

My manager called later to say "You really got to him somehow. He was shaking and said you were a real dick." My manager was pleased since he never liked our district manager either.


So anywho, please dont' worry about consoling or anything, i didn't post this to get sympathy, I really just see this as a simple opportunity and reason to get a real job. And I finally don't have to put up with that place anymore.

You know what's funny is, outside of very few.. I've never really been into video games.
