Alice/ Commissions Open (Limited)/ Miscellanious

So I do admit I have been curious about this movie, and finally my curiosity has been satisfied.
Alice is, by no means, a revolutionary movie. It is however entertaining, and a fun little flick. I think the thing I have been more perplexed by was seeing this in 3D.
After seeing a few movies in 3d I've had to spare them my unbridled wrath since I get a splitting headache after sitting through a movie and going through absolute agony.
Are you guys, really, so much more enchanted by the novelty of 3d? Does it make movies that much better? Monster's Vs. Aliens was a headache of a movie, then a migraine to add to it from seeing it in 3d.
Watching Avatar, oh yeah it was absolutely WONDERFUL having mediocrity explode off the screen at me!!
Now for Alice. Again an average movie.. in 3D!!
You can put perfume on garbage, paint it wacky colors, but if the essence is only garbage, then it will only be garbage. Understand you can put as much icing on a cake as you like, if it's not fully baked, it's still disgusting.
Blue Ray, high def, 3d, it's all been completely missed by me. I've watched movies in 3D, Blue Ray and what not, they are all.. still.. the same movie. OH LOOK! PLAN 9 FROM OUTERSPACE IS AWESOME NOW THAT I CAN SEE THE GRANULES ON THE FILM!!
This is what got 2D animation in the gutter in the first place. People got obsessed with the novelty of 3d films (as a means of animation, not as a means of presentation) and so everyone jumped the bandwagon. Instead of understanding it as a medium, they saw it as the future. Now there is a big backlash and a desire to see 2d films for the sake of them being in 2d. Or films in 3d ( presentation) because it somehow makes it better. It's all shiny and cute, but the medium and presentation does not make the film. Both of those elements must support the story. And until we learn or re learn this, we will be in constant desire of better films. Or at least it will make it easier to identify the films that WILL last.

General | Posted 16 years agoOkay so... I'm watching Fern Gulley right now... Downloaded a few songs from Itunes... Sexual healing, In the air tonight, and Powerhouse ( that song you'd hear when you see factories in old warner brothers cartoons) I know all of it completely random but that should explain quite a bit about me.

I do hope you all are enjoying the comic so far! So as you all have been able to notice I'm using the BARE MINIMUM of photoshop for it. I actually know quite a deal more now than when I was using it XP But that's cool, I'm just glad it's done. :3
Oh and depending on tomorrow I may post it earlier on in the evening since I'll be having dinner with a friend of mine. But we'll see :3

3 Wishes Update for Week 1

How's the comic look to ya'll? Look alright? Lemme know! If you all have any questions give me a holler!
I also wanted to put this out there and I'll put it on every 3 wishes update.
This comic is FREE
Though in order to support myself ( and since commissions are very slow) I would like to post the option for donations to support my comic :3 If you do decide to post send me a note or in your donation give me your name on FA and I will, every 3 wishes update ( which is every night they are posted) I will post your name and thank yous! So yes, my comic 3 wishes has begun posting procedures!!
Over the course of 9 weeks I will be posting this comic regularly. Every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 and 10 30 PM. The whole comic is actually done so you don't have to worry about me having to draw more.
Anyway, in this particular entry I wanna give credit to where credit is due. I talked with a lot of friends took on a lot of suggestions trying to figure out what I wanted and didn't want this comic to be. While it may not be the most profound comic in the world, I did what I wanted too which was important.

So as you all may have seen, with some exception, I've kept my comic project under wraps. Finally coming out of the woodwork is my comic 3 Wishes. I've actually been working on this comic for a year.. and you can kinda tell lol. The drawings themselves are a year old and as much as I want to go back and re draw them, it needs to finish at some point.
So forgive the slightly crude way it's presented it's actually my first serious attempt at comics ( well since I tackled doing a fan comic for Closet Coon by Jeff-kun nearly 10 years ago) But now I have some real storytelling skills under my belt and for the most part I think it came out pretty well.

I realized yesterday, hanging out with my buds yesterday...and I realized that as of February 13th... I have been in this fandom for 10 years...
So ummm...
I don't know how to feel about that.
Umm story is that walking home from school my friend who has been my friend since I was 8 years old ( 16 years) talked about VCL, and showed me the site... aaaaaand that was the beginning of the end...
soo umm.. any thoughts? Questions? Cuz I'm really torn between either being elated by my seniority or as I said to
