I want to make a quick summary of the August.
Well. It had it's pros and cons.
Pros:
• Managed to color most of the multislot-YCHs, but unfortunately a few remained. I remember everyone, will finish them ASAP, don't worry, you can track process in my trello.

• Started three big full-rendered commission illustrations. Proud of how they are turning out, trying to learn new things.
• Got a permanent side-job as an artist in Russian ART-RPG! \o/
Yet August had it cons:
• Unexpectedly had a big NDA from old job which affected my drawing job. This is why delays happened.
Yes, not a perfect month, but still better than the past me.
I will not open a new commissions or a new multislot YCHs until I finish my current to-do list.
Plus I will ask if my presence and help are still needed on that NDA project, if yes - I will not open new commission slots in September, because I do not want to make people wait for drawings. If I'll be free from NDA job, I'll reopen slots +- after September 15th, only after I'll finish everything.

Words, words, words (life, personal stuff)

I don't often write here, but since even a broken clock is right twice a day... here we go.For as long as I can remember, I didn't have control over my life. And after a series of events starting from work with a psychiatrist, nervous breakdown, job loss, war, unexpectedly having a puppy (which is nice, but energy-consuming and too expensive for someone with no stable job), in recent years I fucked up my general life and the drawing life too. I had such severe social anxiety that, since spring, my friend helped me with sending letters with finished artworks, because I literally could not sent them myself.
But I started to get my shit together since spring. I had an attempt at winter, you might remember I was active in December, but I got much worse in January and disappeared again.
So, about my journey since spring. In a nutshell, that was a challenge: a group of people came together to pull ourselves together. And with a limited time to finish everything, we drew our to-do lists, supporting each other. The format of coworking with a threat over my head (we put our characters on the line) helped me a lot and gave me enough strength to finish my to-do list. I had 44 drawings to do in December. 29 in May. Now I have none.
And my friends helped me a lot, so I’m grateful to them. Спасибо вам, если вы это читаете. Я не устану вас благодарить. Хрен бы я без вас справился.
So there you go.
For the first time in many years (I believe it's first time since 2019, fucking hell!), I have no artworks that I owe someone, my to-do list is free. It feels like a new chapter of life. And I would really like to keep that chapter in a good state and not fuck it up again.
So here is my venting~
_______________As to the future.
• I want to update my gallery with drawings with some sort of schedule, because there are a lot of them, but I did not show anything anywhere.
• I have a lot of characters. Like... a lot of characters. I used to draw them exclusively to myself, not showing them anywhere but to friends and sometimes on my Boosty page, very rarely in public. I want to change that and show more of my personal art with my own OC's to people.
• I want to clean up the gallery. Artworks will not be removed, but I will put most of them in scraps. Just because I want to distance myself a little bit from past me, not because art or characters are bad, so please don't take it personal if I'll hide art I've made for you! c:
• As for commissions and so on. Once I tried the format of multi-slots YCHs. Now that I am free, I want to return it, planning to release one per month. Commission slots should be reopened with some schedule, but for now I need to figure out how to do it. I really don't want to create such mess that I did in a past, I don't want to make people wait, I want to do it right.
So, if everything goes smoothly, I should become more alive soon. I'll take a little vacation until August, and will start my new life here from August.

First of all - Happy Holidays!
Happy New Year, hope all of you are having a great time.
And small updates:
Unfortunately, I didn't finish all of the drawings I wanted to during December, even though I tried, but at least I've finished most of them. If you don't mind, I'll write it as a small win in my book, at least the situation is much better than it was before.
With that said - I'm gonna be offline for a few days, 'till January 2-4, to spend time with a family and after that I will come back to work.
Plans for January, in this order:
• Finish the rest of the drawings;
• Update my Boosty page, I want it to actually have something interesting, not just being a place for payment for commissions;
• And I'm also thinking about creating telegram channel (for posting artworks, wips and some life and art-status updates), but I'm not sure if anyone would be interested to follow. I'm not really using telegram myself, only when people outside asking me to do so, but I guess it would be nice to try.
I've also found that I'm drawing faster and having more fun if I'm streaming drawing process, so maybe I could find a way to stream somewhere. Not sure where though - twich, picarto, discord channel.. Need to think about that.

Unfortunately I (still) have no job at the moment, so I need to earn something for the living.

So..
I feel like I owe an explanation. About a year ago I've made a journal explaining my situation at the time, after which I disappeared for a year.
Here is the "sequel" to that journal: Long story short I had to quit my medical treatment because it did not help, yet caused more harm than expected. At the same time I could not balance job, drawing and all of the things that happened around anymore. Which resulted in me quitting my job as a child-book illustrator this winter because of a huge mental breakdown.
I still have no job to this day, but I have time. And I took some of it to make a long, long-needed break. I fully admit that this is not a good thing to do when you have job that had to be done, such as commissions, but I did it anyway without warning.
In spring I've slowly returned to drawing outside of FurAffinity, but I was worried to get back and make any promises once again, so I just drew without publishing anything. Worried that I might disappear again if I try anything.
And after a few month spent like that, I finally feel confident enough to say that I'm able to both get back and keep up with drawing, because it did work out for last months and I see that I can do it again now.
And.. here I am.
For the current day.
I want to slowly reanimate all of my social media and galleries starting from FurAffinity. Make all drawings that I need to.
And trying to switch to full-time job as freelance artist.
I hope that was second and last "personal" journal I had to make, but it just felt right at the moment and I really did not know where to begin with this returning.
I'll make another [small] journal later with art-status update a bit later. I have written down every drawing I need to finish, so no worried for that, but if any of you feel like you want to ask or update anything, PM me.
Hope all of you are doing good out there.

I'm not the one who often posts personal journals about my day to day life, but I wanted to make exception this time.
You could notice that I became very unproductive for the last years (it started slowly many years ago, but noticeably I've turned out like that somewhere in the summer of 2019), there were not many updated in my gallery or they are just rare. With no fullbody drawings and with regular delay of commissions.
Similar thing were happening in a day to day life with daily struggles and shitty moods, so my friends convinced me to finally go to the psychiatrist, who diagnosed me with dysthymia. It's basically meaning having no energy and struggling with the simplest tasks like cooking\cleaning\shopping and etc, and that affects work too (I have daytime job as a children's book illustrator).
I've tried to battle that for years myself and results are... well, there are no results. So we've started treatment process with a doctor a few weeks ago, I'm on the meds now. But there are a lot of them, doctor is trying to find meds that will work with me, at the moment the only result is that I'm always tired and sleepy, but not getting better (so generally just getting worse, to the point when I've struggled with checking social media at all).
I just hope they can find something to make me productive and focused again, while I'm trying to get my shit together, not just a sleepy pills.
So yeah, just wanted to say that I'm sorry for the last years and I'm just asking for a little more patience with me. We'll find the way to heal that thing and I do remember all the drawings that I need to do, I'll get to everyone. It felt horrible and guilty all those years.

Commissions UPDATE [slots, prices]

I want to make some changes with my commissions and I've decided that it will be right to warn everybody in advance.
First: I want to raise prices, and I'm about to do it in July.
This will not affect anyone who already reserved slots and\or put them on hold (dnd character, raccoon icon, I remember you), so don't worry if you asked for commissions before this journal. We agreed on a price, I will not change it.
Second: I'm thinking about switching commissions form on google docs.
I've seen some people using it and it seems like a very practical thing to me. But I need some time to figure out how is it working. And it would be interesting to hear for your opinion on this format - do you find it easy or difficult to use?

With that been said, while prices are still not changed, I'm opening commissions.
I'm only opening two slots at a time, but I'll try to draw as many commissions for this week as possible. If all slots are taken, just wait for a new journal, I will write an update when I'll be able to take more commissions. If you are interested, please write in the comments and then send me a note with all the details I need to know.

I'm starting a little winter holiday action where you can buy a fullbody cel-shaded artwork for a cheaper price.
What you will get: Shaded colored fullbody with one-toned background (I could add simple light effects on it or little simple details like falling snow).
Price: USD 50 via Paypal
