Migratin'~
Posted 16 years agoSorry folks, but for those of you who still checked this place every now and then, I'm migrating to a new account name. DoomNeko was an old nickname I've stopped using ages ago, and I've only really kept using it because I was too lazy to do this already, but I'll be migrating over to Khatsworth. You'll still be able to see my art here on FA, but from now on, I'll update on
. =)
At the same time, I'm going to sort through my old stuff and pick the best ones to reupload, the rest will be stored in my personal archives.
Anyhoo, see you there!

Posted 16 years agoYet another week of school/work thing survived.
Otherwise... stuff's goin' good!
Oh, and Alex came back from working on a tanker yesterday. Long-ass DnD campaign was had, laughs entailed and so on.
Also, today? Out on the town! Went to a bar with the guys, got to the point where I have trouble standing up (but can somehow type fine? Eeeeeh), but yeah.
Oh, and irresponsible spending of the month?
I just flushed all my Xbox360 money into a Zune 120GB instead. Oops!
Oh well. I DID need a new MP3 player, and I'm loving it so far. <3
I should probably start saving up for my own console again, but ehhh.
Quite honestly? Summer's around the corner, so screw it.
I'm gonna go and invest that money in getting a swimsuit, shorts, some summer tops and a few skirts. Maybe have some extra spending money as well for outings and such. And finally get my goddamn ears pierced.
I guess I'll see about getting my own Xbox somewhere next Christmas or something, then. =D
And now, well, I've got a date with a hot mug of coffee, and lots of MP3s I need to put into playlists! ^^

Grr...
Posted 17 years agoUgh. 3 days. 3 days until I couldn't keep up with the "Daily Drawing" thing. Blah.
Not that I can't draw right now, but I just don't have the heart for it...
I'm having some issues regarding my living conditions and the stability of the roof over my head and, quite honestly, I'm torn between breaking down crying or punching through a wall right now. ><;
I'll try to work on some stuff in the meantime but we'll see what comes up.

Boot to the butt
Posted 17 years agoBlah blah blah, school stuff, blah blah blah, videogames, blah blah DnD games.
ANYWHOO. Life. It happens. XP
Besides that though, I've gotten personally aggravated and angry at myself for my own laziness in regards to practicing art lately, soooo...
...starting today, I'm going to try those that "Daily Draw" thing I've seen a few times, do at least one doodle a day, and to help me pick up some new techniques, I stopped by the library to get some helpful books :
- Industrial Design, A to Z, by Charlotte & Peter Fiell
- Jap'Anime Drawing, #2: Expressing Emotions, by Tadashi Ozawa
- Drawing and Painting Imaginary Worlds, by Finlay Cowan
- Drawing Fantasy Landscapes and Worlds, Line by Line, by Rob Alexander
- The Keys of Drawing, by Bert Dodson
- The Art of Drawing Animals, by Ken Hultgren
- Drawing Animals, by Gottfried Bammes
- Cartoons, Pain-Free Animation, by Preston Blair
and - Digital Manga, by Hayden Scott-Baron
Should give me something to read over the next two months and practice along with. =)
(titles roughly translated to english from their french titles)

Got my computer back!
Posted 17 years agoWell, about two weeks ago my powersupply died on me, apparently because of the new pieces I put in the computer as they were too power hungry, and so the safety measures kicked in and melted on the wiring. XP
The poor thing was made for office PCs, not gaming-crazy tigresses. XD
Anyways, it's all fixed now and I've even got a warranty on the new one, so all's good. From the looks of it, FA had time to come back up since, which means I can upload the few crappy doodles I did in the meantime.
I still haven't re-tried MODblivion since, but so far I'm enjoying pretty much everything else on my computer with absolutely no lag whatsoever. Which is awesome. :3

A little journey into excess ~
Posted 17 years agoSo lately, for the past week and almost a half, I've been collecting Oblivion mods, wanting to rebuild a newer, better compilation than my last one.
Well, fack, it looks like I may have gone too far. xD
Hit 22gigs, and while the game was working just fine, it was way too much for my computer to handle anymore. XP
Ah well. Looks like I'll have to start over sometime and try again with a little more moderation. Shame though. =<
Other than that, things are good. Haven't exactly had the drive to draw, but... at least I'm keeping busy. =)

Double Journal - Birthday Edition
Posted 17 years agoWell seeing FA was down for a while, I couldn't really update here in the meantime, but here goes :
-=-=- Journal Entry: Mon Jun 9, 2008, 1:13 AM -=-=-
"Happy Birthday Me!"
Well I'm back from my "birthday weekend" of sorts. I actually only turned two decades old about an hour ago, but I celebrated early so it would be on the weekend. I had a nice first-DnD-game-of-new-season with my friends, continuing where we originally let off with a 24-hour "long play" special game. We were all pooped after that, but it was tons of fun, and we even went grocery shopping for food for the game and I got to keep all the leftovers since I'm about the only one really living on my own among the gang. ^^;
After that I visited my parents for Sunday and I went out with my brother and sister to go see a movie, but since the show times were matching, we decided to go see "Don't mess with the Zohan", and after that we had to rush out into the next room to see "Kung Fu Panda" right after and miss, like, 5 minutes of trailers. XP
Being the slightly too honest person I tend to be, I actually paid my tickets for both movies at the booth and forced my brother to do so too rather than do like my friends who pay for one and just run around from one room to the other after a movie finishes to see more.
But yeah. Things didn't go out as planned. XP
Zohan was cut off halfway through the movie, so I went out to find a staff member to let them know about it, and after 10~15 minutes they got it working again, so we got to see the rest of the movie. However for the inconvenience, they still gave us free passes with no expiration date to go see another movie next time we come. It's not a refund, but I'll take what I can get, I originally just wanted to finish the movie. XD
When it did finish, it was 30 minutes later than planned to get in the Kung Fu Panda room, so I asked the manager and explained the situation while he was giving out the free passes, and he signed our tickets so we could see the next screening after the current one. We ordered some food and played arcades for a bit, then got around to watching it about an hour later.
All in all, a good time was had. Zohan was funny/stupid, and Kung Fu Panda was absolutely hilarious awesome. I'm really going to go out and add that to my movies collection once it's out on DvD, it's worth it. It'll get a spot on my shelf right next to Patch Adam, Bicentennial Man and Titan A.E. =3
Afterwards back at my parents, cake was had, and I helped my brother prepare his speech on gender stereotypes for school tomorrow (who better to help him? XD), then caught a ride with my mom back home with a bunch of leftover food that she had bought that the rest of the family wasn't eating.
And now I get to type all this here, back in the comfort of my comp chair, Kamelot blasting in my ears. Love the music so far from their discography, I'll have to look for their albums at the local retailers here. :3
Got an appointment tomorrow and my friends may swing by to pick me up again, but in the meantime I'm gonna take it easy, have some strawberry juice and enjoy the fresh night-time breeze. ^^

"A jolly good birthday, all in all."
Well that was... fairly awesome =D
My appointment for yesterday had apparently been moved to today, so after heading back home I was just about to start playing Wind Waker when Jonathan calls me up saying that "they" are waiting for me right outside the door! I was a bit surprised because I knew they wanted to go out and do something for my birthday, but I had no idea they'd be here so fast. XD
Finished my peach juice, grabbed my sneakers and headed out. O:
Apparently, our first stop was...
...the mall. Jonathan had heard that I was looking for a working copy of Eternal Darkness (gamecube game) and so he wanted to take me to check out some shops I don't usually go all the way to. Sadly, we didn't find the game, buuuut... they still bought me Resident Evil 4 and Okami for the Wii, as well as a book about making comics. Heee. <3
On the side though, I must admit, I'm a compulsive shopper. Especially around bargain bins. D:
So I also walked out of there with Black and White 2, the expansion, Command & Conquer Generals and the Zero Hour expansion and LotR: Battle for Middle Earth for 19$, Civilization 4 and the Warlords and Beyond the Sword expansions for 30$, and I managed to find Prey for 9$.
I also saw the DnD 4th edition core books going in a package for 70$ish, buuuut I was out of money. XD
I reeeeally need to stop spending. D:
No more shopping center outings for me for a while. ._.;
...besides, I'll be too busy playing and finishing all those games. I'm good for another few weeks. <.<
I hope. >.>;;
That aside, afterwards Jo brought me to try out a Lebanese restaurant in the neighborhood. Amazing chicken and garlic sauce. Amazing.
The appetizer cheese plate was awesome too. Especially that little twisty salted one.
That being done, we dropped off my games and book at my place before heading over to Myriam's, and we all set ourselves up to play some DnD, with Jo DMing. Hopefully we're going to continue his campaign on mondays now, because I -reeeeeally- like where it's going, and for the first time in a loooong while, as a DM and a friend, he knows I have speech and articulation problems and doesn't yell WILD SURGE whenever I mess up a word or use an Anglicism (we play in french). So for the first time in a long time, I can actually play a Wizard and enjoy playing a spell caster without being afraid of roasting part of the team every time I screw up a cantrip.
On a slightly less awesome note, we had an accident on the road to Myriam's. No one was hurt, but someone was waiting to turn onto another road... on a high-speed road, at the top of a hill on the other side of a corner, and Vince had a short lapse of attention. When he noticed the red van in front had come to a complete stop (waiting for a chance to turn, there's no stop signs at the corner though), he hit the brakes and swirved out of the way as best he can before stopping a little further.
Thank god his car is a Saturn and, well, essentially the equivalent of being made out of really thick plastic instead of metal, the only noticeable mark was a slight bump inwards on the front side of the car, a bent wheel rim, one of his rear-view mirrors flew out (it didn't break off, the glass part just flew out), and a slightly traumatized 6-foot teddy bear. (Jo)
Vince and the other person took a look at the damage and settled it all in a friendly matter, thank god.
Anyways, seeing Vince's car was now running on a very small spare wheel, we kinda didn't have a ride back anymore. DX
But oh well, gave us an excuse to play DnD all the way to, like, 5 A.M., then taking a really short nap before Myriam went to get her car back at the garage (ironically, also a plastic Saturn, but notably one of the best cars for the harsh Canadian winter), aaaaaand well essentially she just dropped me off back home now. =D
I called to have my appointment moved again since I felt I could use a little breathing time, and anyways I have a slightly more important second appointment around 6:30pm tonight. You know, the kidn that they cancel my courses if I don't attend.
But in the time being, I'll just have another glass of peach juice (I reeeeally like this stuff. X3) and relax. :3
And that's that for now. :3

"Happy Birthday Me!"
Well I'm back from my "birthday weekend" of sorts. I actually only turned two decades old about an hour ago, but I celebrated early so it would be on the weekend. I had a nice first-DnD-game-of-new-season with my friends, continuing where we originally let off with a 24-hour "long play" special game. We were all pooped after that, but it was tons of fun, and we even went grocery shopping for food for the game and I got to keep all the leftovers since I'm about the only one really living on my own among the gang. ^^;
Good news! :D
Posted 17 years agoWell, good news!
I got accepted for my course selection and already payed for it. Keeping the receipt close, EQ's gonna ask for it so they can reimburse me for it.
That is, if THEY accept me, which is kinda stressing but at the same time, at least I know I'm one step further along to getting back to school. If they don't accept me, I'll have to take a loan.
But yeah, the appointment for that won't be until monday in two weeks, so for now I get to relax.
Medication's going well so far, I'm not really having any bad side effects yet, so all's good. I'm gonna have to talk to the pharmacists though, they didn't give me the right amount of pills, so now I only have 3 weeks worth instead of 4. I'm guessing it's a mistake with the dosage, but since I have a note from the doctor telling me the dose I SHOULD be taking, I can still go on without worry.
Other than that, DnD is picking up again. Got a "long play" session with Vince coming up this weekend, it'll be 24 hours (with a break to sleep) from Friday afternoon to Saturday night, to start off a new "Season" of DnD sessions with the usual group. =)

THEM BE SHORT!
Posted 17 years agoWell, I' back home again, and glad to be. ^^
Still setting up my gaming area, have to plug everything back in so that I have both my PC and Wii/TV sitting next to eachother. I usually try to avoid moving anything around because it's nice and compact and leaves me a lot of breathing space in the rest of the room this way, but I had unplugged and packed everything to bring to my parents' place during the weekend.
I was mainly coming to see the family and take part in free food, while having a chance to play games with my brother and cousin, but officially it was for my sister's first communion, or whatever that christian ceremony is called in english. Can't really say I want to care anyways, as I've had too many friends either hurt by religious zealots, denied their rights, kicked out of their families and even witnessed people trying to break a married couple apart after one of them went through gender corrective treatments. So yeah, that's my stance on it. I'm bunching these stubborn extremists under the same tag as suicide bombers.
Anyways, I can rant about my reasons to not like religion some other day.
On a gaming tidbit, Thursday I bought four new games, aye? Well, I already finished three of them. Timeshift, Gears of War and Mass Effect, all for PC.
And I didn't go easy on these games either, at least mid-level difficulty and I explored /everywhere/ I could, yet I still finished them in, let's see... about 3 days? So a little less than 40~55 hours? And I know 30 of those were on Mass Effect.
I dunno about you people, but I kinda expect at least 40 hours of gameplay out of games I buy for 40+$. Any less I'd understand, but... wow. The shortest of the three was Gears of War, which don't get me wrong, was totally AWESOME, but I kinna feel cheaped out to know I finished it in less than 15 hours. That's just... too short. Okay well I'm not entirely cheaped out because I DID buy it out of the bargain bin, but come on.
I've played games such as Morrowind where I was able to log more than 800+ hours just looking for and doing everything, trying different classes and with the (at the time) dedicated modding community, I tacked on LOTS more play time. GoW, well... there's three difficulty levels and a few cog tags laying around? Okay sure it's an RPG and GoW was an FPS, there's usually an obvious game time difference, but as it goes on it feels like games just keep getting shorter or easier. Does the casual gamer these days have so little attention that he needs to be done with a new game in less than two weeks (Stretching the game hours in very short spurts here and there) before he gets bored of it?
I'm pleased with the gameplay, story and graphics of all three games though, they were absolutely gorgeous and amazing. It's just a damn shame it ended so fast and there wasn't much else to do aside from taking them online for multiplayer. But I'm not much of a multiplayer person, at least not for FPS games anymore. I've just fallen out of it because I got sick of randomly joining rooms and either being beaten into dust by being on a team of idiots against well-organized clans or landing in games full of people who yell HAX! at the first 5 headshots.
Anywhoot, still need to install Hellgate: London. :3
On a brighter less ranty note, I got a new monitor for my birthday (well, an early gift anyways). Surprised me a lot, but mom actually offered to help me get a better screen for my gaming rig instead of being me some crap perfume again. When we got to it though, I opted to pay the difference in price to get a few sizes bigger. Hopefully this will also help with art, since now I have a nice, crisp, bright 20" widescreen 1650x1050 workspace to play games and doodle on, and now I don't have to deal with my old crappy dinosaur monitor (you know, those fat old white boxes?) flushing out half the colour brightness and saturation, so yeah, now I realize A LOT of my art is much brighter than I ever intended it to be. Oops.
So far it works like a charm. *drool*
Oh, and since mom was gonna stop to do grocery shopping anyways, I decided to stop off to do mine as well where she usually goes. Managed to get food for the MONTH for about 50$. Awesome. I even got myself a few non-essentials like juice and butterscotch caramel ice cream. =D (hey in my defense, it was on sale. XP)
But yeah. Time to install Hellgate: London =3

More relaxin'
Posted 17 years agoAh, the good a few days to relax can do to one's mind. ~ <3
Basically just been lazing about, relaxing and playing games for the last few days.
On another note today I just randomly felt like getting out of the apartment, so I went shopping. (baaaad idea.)
Oh well, what's done is done. xD I ate italian and picked up a few new games. Now I'm not spending again until Spore comes out. Hopefully. >.>;
But yeah. Picked up Hellgate: London, Gears of War, TimeShift and Mass Effect today.
Got the games fairly later than them Xbawx people, but at least now I can enjoy them in full mouse-aiming glory and potentially with mods without having to pay an extra cent for the console. :B
Now I just need to make enough room to install them. xD

Relaxin'
Posted 17 years agoNot much goin' on lately, just taking things relaxed.
Mostly because I don't want to stress my body too much while it gets used to y new medication, but anyways~
Thursday I went on a boatride with Alex, Vince and Mimi. Fun times, two of us were rowing at a time, and the other two would share bucket duties throwing water back out of the boat, since it the bottom was had a leak. DX
Had supper's at Alex's place, then came back home with him and played games late into the night. I think he's gotten crazy about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. XD
Meanwhile, I finished Starfox Assault on bronze.
Yesterday, went out with my counseling group on a field trip. Alex came with us, and although only me and one of the guys showed, it was a nice day hiking in the Oka mountains, and we had lunch on the beachside while randomly talking about politics and future jobs and stuff.
Alex had to go home later on since he was working this weekend, but we still had time to play s'more games before his ride came. Fun times.
And today, not much goin' on. Played some STALKER myself and finally got through the labs in Dark Valley. Then drew a bit, thoug not much. For some reason I just can't seem to do as much as I used to. Getting ready now to go have supper with family, since an aunt and uncle I haven't seen in months is gonna be there tonight.
Tha's about it :3

Games, games, games...
Posted 17 years agoOkay, I know I'm going to regret it later buuuuut, I bought a buncha games again. XD
Oh well. THEY WERE CHEAP THOUGH! >.> <.<
Yeah.
So I'm at my parents' place visiting the family for a bit and grandma's there too, which is awesome, since I haven't seen her in forever and a day. Lots of talking and wine coolers and good food ensued. :3
I re-rented Alien Syndrome to play with my brother, then realized I only had one Wiimote. >> *facepalm*
So yeah, I set off on a quest with my brother and mom behind the wheel to find a shop that sold Wiimotes out here in their middle of nowhere. We actually had to go two or three towns further to find one that was still open, but yeah.
That's when I spotted a few games. The Legend of Zelda GC collection (LoZ 1, 2, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask) for 20$ish and Paper Mario : Thousand Year Door for just about the same price. o: Snagged them both while I could. As well as a charger and rechargeable battery packs for my Wiimotes. No more spending a fortune on batteries! =D
Aaaaand when I went to rent AS, I spotted two PC games going for 9$ in the bargain bins. Project Snowblind and Devil May Cry 3.
Snagged on the spot. xD
And since my brother/sister don't play with the Gamecube games anymore (well, my sister still plays Harvest Moon and The Sims, but that's all), I picked up Mario Sunshine , Fire Emblem : Path of Radiance and Starfox Adventures from their shelves. :3
Not much else other than that. Cost me about 120~$ worth of stuff, but I guess treating myself to something every now and then is all good. And I got them all for cheap, so nyyya. XP
Tuesday now, having a coffee while I type this. Doodoo dum.
Not much else to say really.
Oh wait, yes! I start on prescription pill #2 Thursday! O:
Veeeee. ^^
And that's about it. xD
Have a good one folks. :3

Back from the City
Posted 17 years agoSo I've been gone for 3 days or so now, almost 4. Back now.
Crikey, feels GOOD to be sitting down in my comp chair again. Not that I didn't enjoy my little journey to and back from Montreal, but after so much walking, I'm pooped. XP
Anyways, first thing's first, got my prescription approved and renewed for the next few months, which takes a LOT of stress off my mind knowing that's done and settled. Okay sure one's partially made of horse-piss, but whatever. As long as it works, I'm not going to complain. XD
Aside from that, I attended a "reunion" at a Vince's place for him and Alex's Live-Action RP Pirate Crew on Sunday night. They've been insisting that I give it a try for the heck of it, and so~ I did! Well, the reunion itself wasn't exactly a full LARP but whatever, there was beer and violins and waistcoats and cute guys and girls (no, not every LARPer is a pizza-faced geek) and pirate songs, so it was awesome.
Given new players get a rebate on entry, I might try once or twice with the gang for the heck of it.
Speaking of RPs, I sadly haven't played DnD with friends in a while, which is a shame. The usual week-time game got moved to saturdays and now it overlaps with my game on Vince's table, and seeing as I only have an assured ride for the latter, I'm waiting for his games to pick up again now. Should be sometime soon, seeing as Alex is back from his 3-week intensive schoolprogram course thing to learn to work on boats.
Chaining on that, after the LARPer reunion, I hitched a ride with Alex back to his place in Montreal, and spent a few nights there, namely Monday and Tuesday night. Didn't really have anything to do in the city Monday so we mostly just chilled and rented Cloverfield (which was awesome IMO). Tuesday I had an appointment at the clinic to get my prescription renewed and get one for the second medication, so we mostly just walked around the city and chilled on Sainte-Catherine street all day, stopping by a local coffee shop to see a friend who worked there. After my appointment at the clinic we went back to said coffee shop and waited for Adrien to finish his shift, and then we all went back to his boyfriend's place to have a 4-way Risk game. I won the game by complete and brutal annihilation of the others, which was surprising even for me. XD
Two of 'em started concentrated in North America and another in the south of Africa, so I just conquered all of South America and Australia in the first round, then got Asia, raped N. America through Alaska, and then Europe by wiping out a player, taking his cards and then just dropping a bunch of battalions all over the place. XP
Anyways, Wednesday me and Alex went to see "Dans Une Galaxie Près de Chez Vous 2", a french-canadian movie based off a TV series that airs here. It's a ridiculously stupid french parody of Star Trek, but then again that's exactly what made it funny. X3 At least for me anyways, I loved it. After that we chilled at the coffee place some more, visited Alex's dad, and then I took the train to get back home.
AND HERE I AM! ~ typing this.
But that's not all! :U
Came home to a nice surprise package in my postal box, which I opened moments ago to find Zelda : Wind Waker inside! A thousand thanks, Jeff, that was really sweet of you. <3
And now I'm done. =D Mostly.
Just relaxing with a bottle of Sangria and some leftover pizza now. ^^

The Eh Mood
Posted 17 years agoToday was... a mostly uneventful day.
Got up early for a cooking activity with my counseling group, and, sadly, the only two people who showed up were the two counselors, me and the guy in the group who's trying to shoot for a cooking diploma. We were supposed to be 5 from the group not counting the counselors themselves, but I guess they had better things to do / didn't feel like coming today.
Oh well. We made a glorious paté. And by glorious, I mean that meal was so good I forced myself to eat slowly to enjoy it longer.
Sure, it's just mashed potatoes with corn and sauté'd vegetables, but when your diet revolves around having soup three times a day, suddenly even the simple dishes feel like a gift from paradise.
Got home and then I drew for a bit. Posted some new doodles in my art threads and galleries.
After that, eh... I guess "Eh" sums it up. Hit one of those weird moods again. Dunno how I'd call it really D:
Just there and... not there... at the same time, if that makes any sense.
Ah well, tried getting on WoW and doing stuff, but I just logged back out after sitting around at the same spot for almost an hour.
I'd draw more but my right hand's cramping up. Not really sure what to do now. :s

Personality Test Results
Posted 17 years agoWell, today I had my usual thursday counseling appointment.
Exceptionally, I was also getting the results from a personality test I took with my job-orientation counselor, and I think it's pretty fitting.
Google'd the type and found an english version of the text :
Quote from: "Portrait of an INTP, Introverted iNtuitive Thinking Perceiving"
"The Thinker"
"As an INTP, your primary mode of living is focused internally, where you deal with things rationally and logically. Your secondary mode is external, where you take things in primarily via your intuition.
INTPs live in the world of theoretical possibilities. They see everything in terms of how it could be improved, or what it could be turned into. They live primarily inside their own minds, having the ability to analyze difficult problems, identify patterns, and come up with logical explanations. They seek clarity in everything, and are therefore driven to build knowledge. They are the "absent-minded professors", who highly value intelligence and the ability to apply logic to theories to find solutions. They typically are so strongly driven to turn problems into logical explanations, that they live much of their lives within their own heads, and may not place as much importance or value on the external world. Their natural drive to turn theories into concrete understanding may turn into a feeling of personal responsibility to solve theoretical problems, and help society move towards a higher understanding.
INTPs value knowledge above all else. Their minds are constantly working to generate new theories, or to prove or disprove existing theories. They approach problems and theories with enthusiasm and skepticism, ignoring existing rules and opinions and defining their own approach to the resolution. They seek patterns and logical explanations for anything that interests them. They're usually extremely bright, and able to be objectively critical in their analysis. They love new ideas, and become very excited over abstractions and theories. They love to discuss these concepts with others. They may seem "dreamy" and distant to others, because they spend a lot of time inside their minds musing over theories. They hate to work on routine things - they would much prefer to build complex theoretical solutions, and leave the implementation of the system to others. They are intensely interested in theory, and will put forth tremendous amounts of time and energy into finding a solution to a problem with has piqued their interest.
INTPs do not like to lead or control people. They're very tolerant and flexible in most situations, unless one of their firmly held beliefs has been violated or challenged, in which case they may take a very rigid stance. The INTP is likely to be very shy when it comes to meeting new people. On the other hand, the INTP is very self-confident and gregarious around people they know well, or when discussing theories which they fully understand.
The INTP has no understanding or value for decisions made on the basis of personal subjectivity or feelings. They strive constantly to achieve logical conclusions to problems, and don't understand the importance or relevance of applying subjective emotional considerations to decisions. For this reason, INTPs are usually not in-tune with how people are feeling, and are not naturally well-equiped to meet the emotional needs of others.
The INTP may have a problem with self-aggrandizement and social rebellion, which will interfere with their creative potential. Since their Feeling side is their least developed trait, the INTP may have difficulty giving the warmth and support that is sometimes necessary in intimate relationships. If the INTP doesn't realize the value of attending to other people's feelings, he or she may become overly critical and sarcastic with others. If the INTP is not able to find a place for themself which supports the use of their strongest abilities, they may become generally negative and cynical. If the INTP has not developed their Sensing side sufficiently, they may become unaware of their environment, and exhibit weakness in performing maintenance-type tasks, such as bill-paying and dressing appropriately.
For the INTP, it is extremely important that ideas and facts are expressed correctly and succinctly. They are likely to express themselves in what they believe to be absolute truths. Sometimes, their well thought-out understanding of an idea is not easily understandable by others, but the INTP is not naturally likely to tailor the truth so as to explain it in an understandable way to others. The INTP may be prone to abandoning a project once they have figured it out, moving on to the next thing. It's important that the INTP place importance on expressing their developed theories in understandable ways. In the end, an amazing discovery means nothing if you are the only person who understands it.
The INTP is usually very independent, unconventional, and original. They are not likely to place much value on traditional goals such as popularity and security. They usually have complex characters, and may tend to be restless and temperamental. They are strongly ingenious, and have unconventional thought patterns which allows them to analyze ideas in new ways. Consequently, a lot of scientific breakthroughs in the world have been made by the INTP.
The INTP is at his best when he can work on his theories independently. When given an environment which supports his creative genius and possible eccentricity, the INTP can accomplish truly remarkable things. These are the pioneers of new thoughts in our society."
Sounds just about right.
Right down to being too busy with projects to even bother dressing right. DX
Also fits in well with my belief that modern society is a cesspool of illogical, flawed decisions at the detriment of people based on whoever's leading or has money's personal opinion on what's best.
Found another one with more focus on the flaws. Sounds about right as well. A bit too right. <.<
Quote from: "INTP"
"INTPs lack follow-through and this can isolate their ideas from practical examination. Their notions become over-intellectualized and too abstract to be of practical benefit. With their sharp critical thinking and analytical abilities, INTPs tend to nit-pick, hair-split, and generally overdo simple issues. Their desire for accuracy and precision exacerbates any error they may perceive in themselves or in others — they are, in other words, highly self-critical. Wanting to be competent and know everything, their standards grow increasingly higher. When fear of failing becomes overly pronounced, INTPs are quick to feel unintelligent, slow, and powerless.
If stress continues, the INTP's mind seems to freeze and block out the vital information it has worked so hard to accumulate. Their creative juices stop flowing and they suffer from stage fright, writers block, and a general inhibition of their ingenious thinking and fluent language skills. Preoccupied with performance failure, INTPs become self-consciously distracted in anticipation of their failure. If the stress becomes too overwhelming, the fear of blanking out prevents them from taking risks in areas they desire to succeed in. Attempting to avoid incompetence, they fail to gain the expertise and mastery they so desperately need."

LIIIIIIIES
Posted 17 years agoThis check is a lie. There's a catch somewhere. I just KNOW IT.
Apparently someone in the federal bureaucracy screwed up, which in turn fed wrong info to provincial, and in turn I got less money per month than I should have. And stuff.
To be honest it flew ten feet over my head when they explained it to me on the phone.
Either way, this money is staying put in my bank account. I'm not touching it.
I'm not believing it until I can fully confirm it. o_o
On a random tangent : Skittles, taste the rainbow!

Weekend at the Parents'
Posted 17 years agoThis weekend, well... I packed up my Wii and brought it with me to my parents'. DnD games with Gabby seem to be over and I didn't have any with Vince this weekend so I figured I might as well. There's still a bit of tension but I think mom & dad are finally taking a clue and keeping their noses out of my life and stopped jabbing at me every time we see eachother.
It was... a pretty quiet weekend all in all. Rented Obscure: The Aftermath with my brother and we finished it in 8 hours or so. Spent the rest of my time playing Super Mario Galaxy. I'm done with it now, short of replaying the entire game as Luigi. I know I'm going to be kicking myself for it later since I'm more or less broke, but I couldn't manage to pass up picking up Starfox: Assault and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The video store was getting rid of it's remaining Gamecube games in stock and I got both of them for 14$ each.
Ah well, it'll give me something else to do in between World of Warcraft and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. while I wait for June. ...which reminds me, I need to take another appointment with my endo.
Been perusing the newspaper for apartment ads and, so far, not really found much in the price range I can afford. I dunno about Vince and Alex, but... I can't afford more than 300$/month. 350$ at max if I include hot water, heating and electricity. I'll have to check some of the affordable places out with Vince later today or this week, depending on when he's available.
Still at my parents' place for the time being. Normally I would already be heading home by now (Dad drops me off on the way to work) but he's sick and taking the day off. Gonna figure out a way to get home later, I have appointments tomorrow. ._.;
Oh well. On the bright side, I'm not gouging my wallet for breakfast today.
Other than that, I got a letter from VISA, apparently my credit's too bad and my income is too low, so I got refused for a reduced rate credit card. Bastards.
(Not getting a new one, switching from MC to VISA, and getting 10% interest instead of 18%)
That could have actually helped afford to pay off what I have in debts. :/
Blah.
New bank account is up though, that's a good thing. Now I just need to get it linked to Paypal. Then maybe, just MAYBE, I can get some extra income doing commissions. I actually kinda doubt it because I've tried a few times and fail to keep up with it, but... well, it's not like I have much other choice. It's either that or going through the whole "get a job, get sick from pressure, lose job" scenario all over again.
That's about it... I could really go for a coffee now.

The Day After
Posted 17 years agoSo now I`m typing from a friend`s house, because yesterday pretty much just went so goddamn bad by noon that I just had to get out of my place and go somewhere. ANYWHERE. Ugh ._.;
But yeah. Vince picked me up after seeing the journal post on dA and we stopped on the way to hang out with an old highschool friend I hadn`t seen in almost three years. We played Brawl a bit and she lent me Mario Galaxy, so now I`ll have another game to keep busy with when I get home.
Don`t really know what to do anymore. Moodswings are getting worse and it scares me.
I almost cried in bed this morning thinking about it all again.
At this point I`m just trying to do everything I can to not think about it, but it`s hard. Really hard.
I mean, everyone tells me to look up to the good things, but... there really isn`t much good in my life going on at all. I found a school and a program to go into but... I can`t even afford it. And I started my medication after 5 years of bugging doctors and taking extreme mesures to pressure them to get on with it, yet even now I`m staring at the bottle of pills, which I`d rather die than stop taking, and I realize just one of two costs me my food for 3 weeks. ...which shouldn`t be the case, but I can barely afford food as is.
Stuck 10 feet under the poverty line and there`s not much I can do. If I get a job I actually lose all the counciling benefits with my current social program, and it`s the most help I`ve gotten in 5 months. ._.

Inner Reflections
Posted 17 years agoOh journal thing, ye who's there for me to rant on whenever I'm not balancin' right on my plate,
Who's there for me to lay out the thoughts poking, invading, screaming in my head...
Tell me, tell me! Is it everyone who feels this way? Is it everyone who goes through this? Anyone even?
Is it normal to feel like a ghost? Is it normal to be places yet not be there at the same time?
To be in line, but never get rung up? To be the day that seemingly vanishes off a calendar?
How is it possible? Am I too pale? Are they blind? Or am I the blind one?
Journal, oh journal, won't you tell me? Why do I feel this way?
Why do their eyes reflect like mirrors? Why does their glance pierce my very soul?
Do mine do the same? What do they see in the reflections?
How can one be the known unknown? Always there, but never truly found, never truly understood?
Just there, surrounded by people, but still alone?
I walk the same path almost every day, I see the same people on an almost daily basis.
But the faces are always different, is it the same for me? Scrambled name tags, who is who?
No true name of my own, alien in my own mind, how can I identify?
We do our things, we pack up, we head home.
"Home".
Where do I go? Why do I go?
...how did I end up here in the first place? The memory is lost to me.
Did I let myself get walked over? Did I lose the race?
Did I even know the rules before I started? So confused, so lost.
In the end I watch the sun and the moon trade places, another day counts down to my life,
Yet here I am again. Exhausted, deprived, hungry, lonely.
I still don't know where to go, who to see, what to do. Or what for.
I live another day on someone's generosity, treading clumsily on a tightrope.
How do I even get by, when I can't even take care of myself?
Still I have not done anything to leave behind me, no memories, no legacy.
When all is said and done, will I ever have been known? Not by many, but even a few?
Would even a single person have picked the locks and opened the chest?
When time stops for one and continues for others, will they remember?
What will they remember? Scribbles? A name? A face? Or a person?
Or will I just be a ghost?
That person everyone saw, but always forgot?
The kid present in class, but whom the teacher still wrote as absent?
A loner, a wanderer? A thousand and one acquaintances, but no true friend?
Empty hole or heart of gold? Would I have ever felt for real? Would -I- have ever felt real?
In the end, will I ever have done anything more with my life than just try to survive?

All caught up! Commissions a "maybe" ?
Posted 17 years agoDayum, been a while since I updated here. Been having IRL issues and a few depression slumps, so I haven't really bothered, sorry DX ^^;
Oh well, added all the decent stuff that was missing. :3
Things are going fairly well now. Slow life is slow, but my councilor's helping me with the harsher parts.
Anyways... been considering maybe starting up commissions again, since I could really use the money.
I still want to get a better feeling for my colouring before I do though, but I figured I should ask, would anyone be interested?
I was considering a 20$+ range for coloured stuff, varying on complexity. ^^
Anyways, gonna continue cleaning up my comp. I need to free up space, the poor thing is having a heart-drive attack. XP
