Backstories, celebrations, and bad monetary decisions
Posted 6 years agoSo first I'd like to thank all 102 of yall following me. I never thought I'd get more than 20 followers at most, so this is really cool. Coming soon I'm gonna have a much better written backstory for Dima, so keep on the lookout for that within the next few weeks.
Lastly, next month there is a very strong chance that I'll be buying another motorcycle, and with the riding season coming up, freeride and stuntride videos coming soon

Going innawoods - The Sanitarium
Posted 7 years agoSome friends and I went to explore the ruins of the West Moutain Sanitarium, a decades old campus that has been savagely battered by the destructive forces of nature. The walls that still stand of the structures lay home to some interesting graffiti, and the rubble of the buildings in the winter snow is eerily beautiful.
While I don't believe in the paranormal, some say the place is haunted. While we didn't see any ghosts, We did notice something interesting with out phones. There's 3 ways into the basement of one of the buildings, two floor hatches right outside, and an area just large enough to slip through under the rubble near the front of the building. While walking through the rubble entrance and filming a video, you will experience some unusual audio feedback when you play the video back. My guess is there was a power conduit somewhere in that rubble causing an electromagnetic field, but that's only a speculation.
Anyhow; here's the gallery of photos I took: https://imgur.com/a/V2QGd
Enjoy.

Conventions, Sportsmanship, and learning cool shit
Posted 7 years agoSo, Betacon was last weekend, I had a blast! Ended up taking 2nd in the Warhammer 40k Tournament, got a bitchin' Dice bag with OG Donkey Kong on it, bid on some auctions, played some games (Shouts out to Adventures in Retail, that game is awesome). General festivities and fun times. However, I was warned about the "That Guy" that shows up, and I saw "That guy". So "that Guy" was playing (My now friend) Mike in round 1, and 2 turns in and it got absolutely belligerent. I swear a lot, like, I put sailors to shame, but "That Guy" blew me out of the water. Everything was "Motherfucker this", "Douchebag that", "Hurry the fuck up", "Fuckin' moron" etc. Now, Mike took this and just brushed it off, but anyone around the fiasco was clearly distressed. That is not a good look for our community. Granted there was a monetary prize for the top spot, but at the end of the day, you're there to play a game, have some fun. The absolute asshol-ery came in when the judge called time. "That Guy" had a very prevalent force left on the table. Daemons, Heavy Gunships, Mechanized infantry; you name it. Mike had: 2 basic infantryman. The score was something ludicrous, like, 23 to 11 in "That Guy's" favor, but that wasn't enough. Dude literally pushed the judge for it to go one more turn so he could table Mike. Ice fuckin' Cold.
Anyhow, moral is: Don't be a prick
Also cool shit: You ever have that family member who always says something that you just can't believe? For me it was growing up and always hearing my dad talk about the times he'd get in fights and bust out some nunchuks. Well today, my brother got a set of 'chuks in the mail. Pops just goes "Lemme see them kid", And the next 2 minutes was a flurry of spins and strikes and a whole manner of Enter-The-Dragon style shit. It was awesome. At the end, my 52 year old, overweight father, hands the nunchuks back to my brother and calmly says "Yeah they work." That's badass and you can't convince me otherwise

Betacon 2018!
Posted 7 years agoSo, BetaonPA 2018 started today, and so far I'm diggin' it. It's all about games! So, the Warhammer40k tournament and Magic the Gathering tournament are tomorrow, and there will also be Vidya game tournies throughout the weekend. If you see the dude wandering around with the Payday mask on his bag, that'd be me!
Hip hop head grumblings
Posted 8 years agoNow, I love hip hop music, El-P Killer Mike, Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic, MF DOOM (And all his affiliated aliases) just to know the most prominent, but in today's day and age we're seeing the emergence of young 20 somethings who can mumble their way to stardom by coughing out drivel about xanax weed and guns. Now don't get me wrong, Not All today's artists are bad, like Kendrick Lamar, and J Cole deserve some respect; but just look at the XL Freshman cypher and it's filled with shit that would be thrown out as nonsense back in the day.

Requiem for a Jeep.
Posted 8 years agoAs of June 18, 2017, my faithful 2003 Jeep Liberty, "the Liberace", has passed away. After 5 years of service and 101,000 miles, the faithful 3.7L Powertech, the pumping 6 banger heart of the Liberace gave out. It blew a head gasket, and I managed to limp it home as the engine temperature rose for the last 30 seconds of its life.
Requiescat en pace.
However, as the page turns over to mark the end of this chapter, a new Chapter begins. I bought a new car, which some of my followers may have seen, but I'll be posting a picture whenever I get time to take some quality photos.

A little info about my Race Bike
Posted 8 years agoFigured I'd post it in case anyone as curious, or if someone wanted to get into bikes and wanted some reasoning for the mods I've done.
My bike is a 2004 Honda CRF250X. I'm the third owner, but I bought the bike with 26 hours on the original engine. Basically, I got a brand new bike (Albeit a "11 year old brand new bike") That had it's break in period and maintenance done. Break in maintenance is usually more intensive and expensive, High Zinc content oils are needed to make sure the Camshaft doesn't flatten itself out, and oil needs to be changed more frequent as tiny metal flakes that are worn out begin to circulate through the oil.
The first mod anyone with a 'X' series CRF should do is trim your airbox. The 'X' bikes are all made to be CA compliant, and have to meet stricter emissions regulations, so the factory airbox makes it really hard for the bike to breath in fresh air. Take a cutting wheel and open that sucker up. Of course, with more air, is a need for more fuel. I rejetted my carburetor to a 150 Main jet and a 32 pilot jet. My bike has aftermarket Factory Connection front forks that were added after I bent a the stock standard Fork. I still use the stock rear damper because it has been deemed "Good 'nuff". Brake pads were replaced to EBC Sintered pads, and I use EBC Rotors. The bike's valves were replaced to Kibble White Stainless Steel valves. Honda OEM uses a 2 piece valve: A titanium tulip on a cast Iron stem. The tulip will actually separate itself from the stem after some hard riding time. I was lucky enough to catch that before my engine grenaded, and upgraded to the single piece Steel valve.
After a massive electrical burnout, I installed a fresh stator that generates a little bit more power, basically to keep my battery charged and power my LED headlight and taillight. I also opted to install the engine computer from a newer 'R' series Honda which apparently expands my rev range from 8500RPM to 11kRpm. The bike also has Flywheel weights, just to keep it from stalling when I get in really rough deep woods terrain.
As for hardparts: I run Dunlop MX54 tires on the bike. I run an Acerbis Sky Plate with oil filter cover and water pump cover protection, MSR full wraparound Handguards and a Holeshot inc. Barpad that I slot my phone into and use the GPS for speedometer. (I would not recommend the Holeshot barpad, it's a really tight fit for any phone thicker than a playing card).
Right now, I need to take apart the carb, and clean it AGAIN. It'll need a clutch, which I've decided it'll get a Hinson performace because apparently they last forever. The bike will probably also need fresh tires but I'll be sticking with the MX54's.

Got the Bike running again!
Posted 8 years agoIn late 2015, I had an injury after a crash that kept me from riding the bike for quite some time. I suffered a pretty bad concussion on top of some pretty decent cuts. After a year and a half of having my bike sitting in my shop, I finally took the time to dig it out and do some maintenance to get it running again. Took it for a rip today and it felt amazing to get back out and shred.
Called up some old friends and we'll be doing a group ride this Sunday, Feb. 26.

Short Stories in the works!

2016: A Retrospective
Posted 8 years ago 2016 has been a rollercoaster of a year; I have had some of the best days of my life, and the worst. I was able to cross a few items off my bucket list, did plenty of travelling, and saw parts of the world I haven't seen before. I was even able to take vacations with long time High School friends.
My year started as I crossed into my second semester of college, and I did fairly well considering at the time I was working two jobs on top of an engineering curriculum. After the semester I quit the lesser paying of the two jobs. In May, I hopped on a plane and made my way out to San Francisco, California. If you have never been there, the first thing I can tell you is that it's much colder than you would expect. The warmest it got was around 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Now, I may hate the cold, but I did not let that stop me from exploring the city. Riding the famous streetcars and trolleys, I went down to the famous Embarcadero, from which you can visit Pier 39, which holds some fantastic restaurants and you can go to view sea lions as well as a Marina. Whilst in the city, I took a boat over to Alcatraz island, an old maximum security prison which at one point housed mobsters like Al Capone. I also viewed Lombard Street, the "most crooked street in the world" as well as the Golden Gate bridge, Chinatown, and SF Union square.
In July, I took a trip to Florida with some long time friends. We stayed in a beautiful waterfront home, which also had a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Trips to the beach still became a near daily activity. On the 6th day of the trip, we visited Miami, a city I soon became enamored with. After a yacht ride and lunch at a fantastic Italian place, we ventured deeper into the city, where I attended a machine gun shoot.
As a Yankee of Pennsylvanian descent, the Southern heat, humidity, and sun was not something I was accustomed to. As someone who usually hates wearing shorts and would rather opt for Jeans, I soon realized the error of my ways. It became too hot, and I switched into the habit of wearing shorts, revealing my normally concealed, untanned legs to the brutal Florida sun. I baked like a potato in the sun and turned Red like a lobster.
My final trip of the year was to Manhattan, New York City, in August. My second time in the city, I knew I had to see the Intrepid. The USS Intrepid was an aircraft carrier that was decommissioned and is now an aviation and nautical museum, housing a Nuclear submarine, the USCG Eagle, the oldest ship in our Coast Guard's fleet, plenty of Aircraft: Including an F16, F4's, and a Lockheed A12, the predecessor to the SR-71 blackbird. The pinnacle of the collection, was the Enterprise Space shuttle. At first it was thrilling to see such a marvel of Engineering up close, but soon I became saddened, that even as a natural born explorer, I will always be restricted to Earth, and never really reach out to the stars.
My year ended as I returned to school to begin my second year. I soon became frustrated, as I had picked up 3 credits over any previous semester and was still working a part time job. Imagine working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week every single week without exception. The stress soon piled up, and I found myself in a hospital after passing out due to exhaustion. My good friend
XausR32 had slowly been trying to get me to join this fandom, and after my discharge from hospital, I finally gave in and made a character. Where will I go with it? Well, we'll see in 2017.
