Finally I get more than two days off...sort of. Just need time to unwind and reorganize myself. My productivity in terms of art and literature have plummeted due to being so busy at work. Work is pretty much all I can think about these days, and it's not even that hard. Maybe I need some kind of reset mentally, I'm not sure. I would love to go to a furcon, but as usual work gets in the way and I plan things at the last minute sooo...yeah. Hell even meeting up with some local furs would brighten me up abit, but uh I don't exactly want my mother answering the door and going 'who are these people and why are they at my doorstep?' I'm just rambling to vent I guess, it's actually therapeutic to do so. Thanks for taking the time to read a crazy wolf's blatherings, it means alot. ^^ That is all. :3

After a lot of thought, I've decided not to go this year. It's a really tough decision to make as I'd love to go to another fur con, especially this one. But I feel like it would be another lonely trip to a place I don't know and being around people I don't know. I'd like to get a couple of the local cons under my belt first. Also I didn't plan ahead or get a room with a roommate or anything. Also driving alone from Maryland to Chicago just isn't worth it. So, sorry guys; not this year.

That said, I do plan on attending a couple of cons in the coming year. So that's good I suppose. Sorry for being such a downer, but this whole thing has me really bummed out. Maybe I can catch some cons nearer to me soon. That is all.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth the trip. I just don't know if I want to go. I'm wary of going to places alone, being alone while there and heading home alone. I want to go to have fun, but I don't want to go somewhere where I can't talk to anyone. I know this sounds silly, but I just need to make sure. So is anyone going? I could use a roommate, please no party rooms. I prefer quiet rooms if possible. Please let me know if anyone's interested. That is all. :3

I completely forgot that it was this weekend until like last night. Oops. x3 So busy this week with stress at work and my new desk arrived! Finished putting it together this morning. So I finally caved in, realizing that I need to embrace some forms of social media to avoid being overlooked. And since I don't like Facebook (I have my reasons), the next best thing was...Twitter. *growls* I'll be honest, I'm not happy about it. But if it will help me be more social, so be it. So uh still here, just crazy busy at work. I had to work on six projects at once while answering phone calls from people who had problems that are beyond my skill set to solve. Thankfully I was able to get mostly everything done, but had almost zero time to do anything else other than go home, watch some tv and then pass out in my bed. Yeah not great. Even now I'm having trouble unwinding. I don't think I've had a week that intense since my final semester of college and trust me that's saying something.

On the plus side, I've had more ideas for things I could do be they drawing or writing. The big problem is my current desk is...well it's a pathetic cheap piece of crap to put it bluntly. I'm looking for a new one that's semi-descent as I am getting new furniture for my room anyways. The old kiddie furniture just isn't cutting it anymore. It's boring, old, discolored and falling apart. Luckily my job has allowed me to save up enough to buy some new furniture more to my tastes. So here's hoping I can get the new stuff soon. That is all. :3

Yup I'm back in town and exhausted. In addition to a brutal drive back, I had to help my parents repaint and reorganize my entire room (which was long overdue). My first experience at a fur con gave me very important lessons for next time namely:

Get a con badge for better identification
Double check clothes packing (trust me you don't want to know how I learned that one)
And finally ROOM WITH SOMEONE because rooms are expensive and lonely with just one guy in them.

So I'm definitely going to be better prepared for next time.

On a different note, this trip caused me to do something I thought would never happen: Tell my mother about my furriness. After all these years, I finally opened my mouth and blurted it out to her. I'm pleased to say, I'm still living in my house and, even if she doesn't agree with me, she has decided to support me regardless. I'll be honest, I almost burst into tears of joy when she responded. All the self induced pain and torture finally coming to an end. While we do have some disagreements on some details, and she will no doubt object to some things I decide to do, I'm so happy to have finally gotten it off my chest.

So in summary, a weekend that I will not forget any time soon. I've definitely become more open to more possibilities that's for sure. For now, I'm very very tired and going to bed. *flops on bed and snores* Zzzzzzzz

Yeah couldn't think of a clever title. X3 No big vacation this year due to family budget issues, so I'm heading to the beach with my family for a few days. Uhhh life wise, things are going well. Yes I finally got my first new car and it's a Subaru. So far I've had it half quite day and I love it. <3 And it means I have to bid farwell to my Civic...you'll notice I'm not that broken up about it. X3 The major pull was durability and versatility, which my new Subaru has both. The bad news: I have to pay it off over time and it's gonna eat a chunk out of my paycheck every month. But it's SO worth it. <3

On a different note, I am still writing stuff and drawing stuff. Work has been so chaotic lately with my office move and more work piled on. But hey, comes with the job. So yah. That is all. :3

Still here, just going through some rough patches. I won't go into details, but I'm having trouble losing weight (even though apparently I should be able to easily at my age), moved to a new office, and got writer/artist block. On the upside, I'm shopping for a new car since my tough little Civic seems to finally be showing its age. Nothing super expensive obviously. Holy cow I'm gonna be 25. Though it's gonna be overshadowed by my mom having surgery. No big deal, but she's usually the party planner so I'm not expecting much this year. *shrugs* And I finally caved in and I'm letting my mom upgrade my phone to a fricking IPhone. I don't like them: too complicated, too overpriced, too over-hyped, and I'm sorry but they just break way too easily. But given my other options when it came to value for money, I didn't really have a choice. My old phone's fine, it's just from 2010. So yah.

On a lighter note, things are going great at my job. Abit nerve raking (mostly self-induced stress), but otherwise all good. ^^ Honestly I can say comparing this year with the last I feel much better about myself and my life. A few extra bumps in the road this year, but hey that's life. You can either cry or laugh your ass off. Personally, I choose laugh. :D Ok mindless rambling over. That is all. :3

Yeah I know weird title, but let me explain: the first part is I somehow caught a cold overnight. Working on four hours of sleep. Not terrible, but not great either. The second part: looking around other artists' galleries, I'm amazed by the transformations of style and quality. I started out with the whole drawing thing as something fun that I would probably do badly at and then stop....But after seeing how other artists have evolved over time....it kind of gives me hope for improvement, genuine hope. Hell I might sketch out a few ideas on my graphics tablet while I'm stationary due to the damn cold. Off to bed with me then, brain no work. X3 That is all. :3
